Tricks for Tricks Title:
It's most likely going to take me a year to teach a dog even half of these because I'm bad at problem solving, BUT it's motivating me right now even if I don't know if Elliot is staying (if not, I'll work with Chico).
AKC
1. Sit (handler's choice)
2. Crawl (3 body lengths)
3. Find it (find treat/scent item under a cup or object)
4. Get in (get inside box)
5. Get on (4 paws on low platform)
6. Kennel up (Go to crate, stay until released)
7. Jump (through a hoop or over low bar)
8. Spin
9. Touch it (hand or target stick)
10. Tunnel
11. Get your leash/object
DMWYD
12. Down
13. Paws up
14. Target mark (go to target)
15. Leave it
FOR MYSELF:
- Start cooperative care
- Start on conditioning exercises
- Work on seperation anxiety / isolation distress / whatever this is
- Stay
- Calmness / Calmness around Nelly
- Scent work
- Leash manners (aka less pulling + stay on my right because my left side isn't functional)
- Bong! (maybe because Elliot does that naturally and I'm trying to teach him not to yeet himself on people)

Hey friends!
Just discovered how big dogblr is and I'm jumping right in. (My main is bumble--bean.)
I'm currently assisting with classes with the goal of training dogs part-time. My focus is on R+/LIMA training.
I also love trying new things with my black Lab, Milo. Together we've done scent work, mantrailing, Canine Hoopers and trick training (earned Expert Trick Dog with DMWYD 🥳). We also have an intro to Ring Sport class coming up!

Okay I'm finally gonna get the Do More With Your Dog trick titles on Haley. Maybe Bree too, we see - she has less patience for tricks which is why she only has the AKC novice level tricks title, and Haley has advanced lol. But Bree can do a lot of tricks on the list. I'm pretty sure I can put a DMWYD Expert title on Haley without having to train anything new.
Can someone explain to me how the spark team/online evaluator thing works? I just find someone who can do it and send them the videos? Am I paying them or DMWYD or both?

I'm becoming a title and ribbon addict. Going to crack into the new year with FitDog titles for TenSoon and DMWYD titles for Pantalaimon. Two programs I never thought I'd bother with, but I've got an itch now.

Still waiting to hear back from a trainer if they can evaluate our NTD
Have joined the DMWYD Facebook group too and am just waiting for my membership to be confirmed in hopes someone there can do it for me. I know I’m being impatient but I’m super excited at the prospect of getting this fun lil title because it’s something I’ve wanted to officially do for a very very long time.
Hana could have got it but I could never catch everything on camera on top of timing everything right to not be disturbed by other dogs. I really wanted her to have it, and now it’s entirely possible for Juno to get it and I’m losing my mind

Roll in Blanket
I posted in the DMWYD FB group about how Bindi cannot hold the blanket in her mouth and roll over at the same time. The admin told me to play tug with her on her side, then try again and see what she does.
I played tug with her on her side yesterday and today. Yesterday she was very sad and we could only play for a couple of seconds before I let her win and get up to play upright. Today she still only played a couple of seconds but she was more enthused about it, and once upright would immediately start thrashing, which for her is a sign of high enjoyment.
This afternoon I tried the hold blanket + roll just to see what she did, and she immediately flopped onto her side while still holding on. Halfway there!
I called it a rousing success, jackpotted her, and played some tug. That’s it for the day, we’ll see where we are tomorrow.

A lot happened, me and Human picked up training more again, which is fun, I got my CCF1, hooray! Also the puppies all went to their new homes! We visited Otje (who lived with friends now) and brought gifts, more pictures of that later!
I am feeling good again, was feeling very bad after the attack and had painkillers for about a week, but am  good again.

Huge applause for the awesome @allenwithac! He's done an amazing job raising #Jango, the 7mos #miniaussie! Jango has been well socialized and taken on as many trips as possible since the beginning. They started obedience training with us, followed the rules, and as a result Jango is on his way to earning all of the privileges and freedom he could ever want. Way to go, guys! Keep up the great work! Super Trainer Tip: Socializing and training begin at 7/8 wks (or the day you bring your new companion home). This is when your pup learns how to learn. Whatever they experience, or don't experience, positive or negative, has a lifelong impact. Here, both Cosmic and Jango are learning proper social etiquette along with their obedience in a realistic situation. Our board and trains become part of our family and spend the day working with us, helping us train other dogs, and experiencing the joys of being a dog trainers dog. 😉 Structure; it does a puppy good! 🐾 Sharing is caring! Please feel free to help your friends; share this post & follow us! #attheendofyourleash.com #dogtraining #Riverside #InlandEmpire #SoCal #California #Superdog #Superhero #HanSolo #besomedoggy #idratherbewithmydog #DMWYD #domorewithyourdog #VolhardDogNutrition #NaturalDogFood #dogtrainer #puppy #showdog #traineddog #myhero #belikelu #inmemoryof #KingLu #WeRemember (at At The End Of Your Leash)

It’s 2:30am and I cannot sleep
So I did some digging into the DMWYD trick titles with Juno in mind, intending to compile a list of all the things we need to work on
But actually… I think she has enough to get her Novice??? The plan was to try and get it before the end of the year but I could probably send off for one in a month if I wanted. Which is faster than I’d planned for.
Trick training will be a big focus for the next two weeks to see if I can tie up the loose ends on the things she’s a bit hit and miss with
