This 2016 Chevrolet Camaro COPO is #44 of 69 factory drag cars produced for the model year and was ordered through Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Finished in blue over a race-prepped interior, the car is powered by a 427ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a Strange Engineering rear axle. Features include a carbon-fiber cowl hood, a Simpson parachute, a trunk-mounted fuel cell, a roll cage, NHRA-spec racing seats, adjustable coilovers, wheelie bars, and Bogart wheels wearing Hoosier drag slicks.
Staggered-width Bogart racing wheels are mounted with Hoosier drag slicks. Stopping power is provided by Strange Engineering four-piston calipers over slotted rotors all around. The suspension system features a four-link setup with a Panhard rod out back as well as Strange Engineering adjustable coilovers at all four corners.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames AutoMeter instrumentation including a tachometer mounted to the A-pillar of the safety cage as well as gauges for fuel pressure, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and transmission fluid temperature. No odometer is present.
The naturally aspirated 427ci V8 was hand-assembled and features Holley electronic fuel injection as well as open exhaust headers. A racing fuel cell with an Eliminator fuel pump is mounted in the trunk along with the battery.
