#Repost @drjenpsych_ with @get_repost ・・・ *HEBB’s RULE!* Neurons that Fire together wire together. . . Our life experience is a reflection of what thoughts and behaviors we are repeating. An adaptive habit is formed by repetition of said habit. An empowering theory, NOT easy! Transforming and engaging in efficient change is NOT easy, but it’s doable, thanks to neuroplasticity, and our beautiful malleable brain! Also, there’s a caveat...this doesn’t work if we aren’t GENTLE GENTLE GENTLE with self as we go...grow as we go WITH accountability AND gentleness • • • What are YOU Repeating towards a more thriving existence? What are some of the blocks or obstacles coming up for you? Can you gently notice, and take a step toward a healthier unknown, anyway? . . We got this! I love you, XO, Dr. Jen 💕🧠🚀🙌 • • • • #traumahealing #healingtrauma #relaxationresponse #traumarecovery #endstigma #mentalhealthadvocate #neuropsychology #neuroplasticity #traumahealing #selfhealers #healersofinstagram #empathsofinstagram #brainhealth #cognitivebehavioraltherapy #soulawakening #spiritualawakening #psychologytips #personaldevelopment #innerchildwork #mindfulnesspractice #complextrauma #posttraumaticstressdisorder #drjenpsych https://www.instagram.com/p/CD-xlmwlPN5/?igshid=1sdzxec9tpx1r

"Have you noticed beijg exhausted from your anxiety." . Just can't scream "100 PERCENT" loud enough. . . . Reposted from @drjenpsych_ What has your experience been? Let’s get real: anxiety is exhausting. Constant fight, flight, freeze, fawn - stress hormones dousing our organs for longer than we need to survive, takes a toll. So can compulsive behaviors and rigid rules. So can intrusive thoughts, racing thoughts, thoughts about thoughts, worry. Let’s not underestimate how bone-tiring anxiety can be. Let’s also understand that it’s tiring and let’s work toward NOT beating ourselves up for it, which only makes us feel worse. When we beat ourselves up and try to push through all the time, we are not giving ourselves the opportunity to rest mind body brain, even in pockets of moments, which is essential for healing. Have you noticed being exhausted from your anxiety? How has this shown up for you? Comment if it feels safe! Tag anyone who needs to hear this. Stay mindful in comments. Gentle, Gentle, Gentle.
