Even my WIPs list is a WIP... send help
I’m only now just realising how many WIPs/half-baked ideas I have floating around in my fics folder on my laptop and I really really want to get to them... you know what? I’m going to give you all a list and talk a little about them in the hopes that it’ll a) get me excited about some of them and I’ll finish it faster, or b) you guys are interested about them and I’ll probably feel more confident in my writing and write some more... and hopefully I’ll stop adding ideas to it because I’m focusing on the existing ones lol. Also I’ve been tagged a short while back for a WIPs ask game but I think I did it the last time it circulated before this one so I’ll just do it like this instead lol.
Levi x Reader WIPs (one-shots and mostly SFW unless specified otherwise)
The Harbinger’s Premonition - a canonverse multichap fic where Reader is the grim reaper who collects the souls of dead Eldians and guides them to Paths, and Levi is the only person who’s ever been able to see them. Currently working on chapter 4 (very verryyyy slowlyyyyy)
Role reversal AU (captain Reader and civilian teashop owner Levi) (this one is well underway!)
Flatmates AU (in which Levi and Reader are in the same flat for uni accommodation - I’ve got a fair bit done for that one too)
Florist!Levi - I’ve got several hundred words written from a while ago, and I kinda miss writing lil grumpy florist/plant dad so I kinda want to pick this one up again.
Masseuse!Reader - the Scout veterans minus Levi have a weekly tradition to go to a massage parlour because they’re all stressed out as heck and Hange somehow convinces Levi to go to one. And you’re the pretty masseuse that got assigned to him for his appointment 👀 (this is more of a concept than an actual plot but I do want to write this!!)
Airport and author AU - okay so I’ve written like 500 words for this one and the document hasn’t been touched in months idk if I want to pick this one back up? The idea is cute but I just have bad writers block when it comes to that one for some reason
I also had ideas for six pieces that I was going to write for this year’s Kinktober, which obviously did not happen as I was moving back to uni and things were a little full on then. I definitely plan on writing these out but the question is when lol
... old requests from like months ago that i haven’t gotten around to/havent been inspired to write im sorry to those who requested those I will get around to those one day I swear 😂
Other WIPs
I’ve mentioned a few times on this blog that I want to get around to writing a Levi x OC fic set in canonverse, as sort of a canon rewrite. Tentative name ‘The Creed of the Godless’. It’s still very much in the early planning stages and has been for months because I’m a perfectionist and don’t want to start writing until I have every little detail planned and plotted lol. I have talked about it in this post and there’s a little more info you can find in my masterlist somewhere.
Not a WIP but I’ve been thinking about writing Furlan x Reader (listen I know the point of the No Regrets manga was not to drool at lines on paper but... I am very much drooling at lines on paper. Furlan is so goddamn fine in the manga and I need to write for him.)
(I also have a multi-chapter fic that I kinda want to drop though because I’ve run out of steam for it and nobody’s reading it anyway :/ it’s not Character x Character/Reader/OC or anything like that though, so I knew the reception would be lower but to be honest motivation to write it has not really been there so idk. Might orphan it. Feel kind of guilty because I know there were a few select people that were interested but I just... don’t really want to continue with it any more.)

Toonami Weekly Recap 01/06/2024
Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 (The Rumbling Arc) EP#30 - The Final Chapters (Part 2): Chapter 3: The Battle of Heaven and Earth: The Scouts and Warriors lands on Eren's rib cage, and incapacitate the Beast Titan realizing that it is just a shell with Zeke nowhere to be found. Before Armin has a chance to transform, he is captured in a Titan's mouth. Suddenly, countless versions of the Nine Titans of the past appear on Eren's back, created by Ymir Fritz to defend him. Just as the Scouts and Warriors are nearly defeated, Annie and Gabi appear on the back of Falco's new flying Jaw Titan. Meanwhile, Armin discovers Zeke in the Paths.
Chapter 4 - A Long Dream: Armin and Zeke have a conversation about the meaning of life and Armin convinces Zeke to share his viewpoint and the two call on the deceased Titan shifters throughout the series to help the alliance. Zeke then materializes on Eren's Titan and allows Levi to kill him, which stops the Rumbling. After Armin is rescued, he uses the power of his Colossal Titan to destroy Eren's Founding Titan, releasing the centipede-like organism, the source of all Titan power, from Eren's nape. Falco flies down to the Liberio refugees, but the reunion between the Warriors and their families is cut short when the source turns the nearby Eldians, including Jean, Connie, and Gabi, into Titans to help defend it. Reiner, Annie, and Pieck engage the Titans and the source to prevent it from reconnecting with Eren while he transforms into the Founding Titan once again to fight Armin, leaving Mikasa and Levi the only ones left who can take Eren down. Jumping off of Falco's back, Levi uses a Thunder Spear to destroy Eren's Titan's mouth exposing his human form within and Mikasa beheads Eren. Ymir is thus freed from the Paths allowing her to pass on, and the Titan powers, along with the source, disappear from the world, turning all the Eldians permanently back into humans.
Final Chapter - Toward the Tree on That Hill: After Eren's death, Armin (and the others) recall a conversation with him prior to his death where he reveals his true motive was to ensure his friends statuses were elevated to the saviors of humanity to the rest of the world, alongside giving them the long, fulfilling lives he wanted them to have in a world free of Titans. After mourning their friend, Armin decides to take credit for killing Eren, Mikasa leaves to lay Eren to rest on Paradis, and the Scouts and Warriors are hailed as heroes by the survivors of the Rumbling. Three years later, with eighty percent of humanity decimated, the Jaegerists strengthen Paradis' military to prepare for a potential future attack from the rest of the world, while the remaining Scouts and Warriors become the world's ambassadors for peace negotiations with Paradis. Mikasa buries Eren's head under a tree that he would frequently rest under as a child and continues to visit his grave throughout the rest of her life. Many generations later, a futuristic Paradis is bombed from above and destroyed in a war. Over time, Paradis is reclaimed by the wilderness, and within this wilderness a lone boy and his dog approach the tree Eren is buried at, which has since grown to resemble the original tree that contained the source of the Titans' power.
IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix EP#07 - Spring Has Come: It is time once again for the IGPX All-Star Festival. Though only an exhibition, Takeshi and Team Satomi are out to prove they deserve to be in the big leagues. Meanwhile, Mark gets some unexpected news regarding his mother's health.

𝕬𝖙𝖙𝖆𝖈𝖐 𝕺𝖓 𝕿𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖓 𝖂𝖊𝖊𝖐𝖑𝖞 𝕯𝖚𝖇 𝖀𝖕𝖉𝖆𝖙𝖊: 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧
Let’s get into it!
1. Nicollo and Gabi.
Dude. I can totally understand how angry he must’ve felt. And, this is my understanding from it, he really liked Sasha. Imagine having someone who genuinely enjoyed what you did and gave you so much of praise. It was bound for one of them to catch feelings and for him to finally know who killed her must’ve been like a weight off his chest. It also goes for Falco. He really likes Gabi and he was willing to die for her. He could’ve with that smash on his head. Just so much of emotions in that whole scene.
2. Jean and Nicollo.
He might not show it, but Nicollo really does care for them. If he didn’t, he would’ve let them drink the wine. He did say some things he didn’t mean but it was to protect them and it really showed how his character developed.
3. This scene.
I feel this scene is the difference between the Eldians and Marleyeans. Gabi assumed that they would kill her but that’s not what they were trained to do. All of them were trained to kill man-eating monsters, not people. Armin and Mikasa’s heart have always been on the rational side when it comes to things like this and I admire that in them.
4. Eren
Tumblr media
Oh, Eren. What have you done? This face, is the face of a boy who has no remorse anymore.
5. Levi.
His post will be up shortly.
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥:
Amazing episode. The emotional levels here were spiked and so much of confusion. But I really did enjoy it. What did you think?
If you want to keep up with this updates, follow this hashtag👉 #attack on titan weekly dub update OR #aot4dub. I will be updating it every week. Until next time.

Hello Ruri, with a few days until the end of snk, how do you feel? Do you think Isayama of a compelling ending (for you)? Do you have any criticism or something you didnt like about the final arc? Is there a death that you found unnecessary? What are your favorite characters? What couples do you like? (i mean other couples other than eremika)
I think there are several questions, but i like to read your opinions, i feel that you are a voice of reason whitin this chaotic fandom!
I wish you a good day (or night?) i hope this ask makes sense, english is not my language so i used a translator hahaha.
Hi anon!
Thank youuu! Don’t worry! I understood everything perfectly!
I’m... I feel weird. You know I expected the manga to end on January so these last months were... well... I wanted the manga to end soon because I already want part of the fandom to calm down. Once the manga ends, I thought it would bring peace but now I think this is just the beginning.
Now, personally, I feel just a bit sad and very excited.
Regarding the ending... I think that if Isayama goes for a last chapter with the same feeling of ch. 137+71 (bc of Carla’s words to Eren), It will be moving. If it’s compelling or not it depends on how Isayama manages to mantain the inner logic of the story. The meaning of sacrifices, Eren’s lines, Mikasa’s “the world is cruel but beautiful”, the idea that memories are important in order to be free from repeating the same mistakes... you know... what he showed us many times throughout the whole story. It would be a shame that he takes any of them back. And I’m confident he won’t move from those messages.
About the whole final Arc.... SUCH A WASTED POTENTIAL.... You know I’m also fan of Togashi but not because of HxH but a previous manga called Yu Yu Hakusho. It was a weekly manga and lasted 19 vols. The final arc had such an incredible and deep potential and since the mangaka was already tired of the series he rushed it so bad that everything happened off camera. Sad. I feel like Isayama went through the same just it wasn’t so evident as in Yu Yu Hakusho. In Yu Yu Hakusho, Togashi found the identity of this story in the last two arcs. To me it was the beginning actually... where everything could turn deeper and complex... In Isayama’s case, he started with a clear identity for his story. He built his whole world and story repeating over and over again the same topics with side characters just to culminate in the three main characters having to deal with the same struggles previous characters dealt with (often their own mentors f. ex. Levi with Erwin and Mikasa with Eren... With Levi being a mentor for her in regards of the mercy killing).
I argue non stop with a friend who says it’s rushed and nothing makes actual sense. I wonder if it’s needed to show again the same struggles Mikasa is going through when we already saw it with Levi for example. Wouldn’t it be unnecessary if Isayama is deliberately choosing to show us that every character is the same and feels the same? That would be Eren’s concept that every human is the same... So some fans feel like Isayama just ruined Eren’s character because he didn’t develop him properly.. bc he hid his POV, whereas I think he just hid it because he wanted us to find Eren’s feelings and reasons in his previous developments and in other characters. Thinking about the fact that the coordinate and Eldians are there to connect them, I think it’s all an artistic decision... “Go and find Eren’s pieces in every story I told you before”.
On that matter, you see how discardable every side character was. One of Isayama’s flaws is that he uses his characters as blank puppets for the story, once they showed the topic he needed for the macro story, he kills them or “sidelines” them. Hanji as the best example. Since Isayama needed Armin to be the commander and for that he needed Hanji out of the picture, there you have it. I don’t really mind it but for a story that may have fans that like just one character who’s not one of the three main characters it may be discouraging. He is not really good at fanservice inside the canon. Or the way he handled Historia. A lot of fans of her dropped the story because of that. He had no remorses on sacrificing her just to show how every character lost something because of the rumbling. Again, I don’t mind it... I even respect it because he had no scruples to sacrifice a character just for the big concept he had. But I get not every fan is prepared to endure such decision.
On the topic of deaths... if they were necessary or not... For Isayama death is not a big deal. I guess his main concept is that lives are something like a coin you can trade for a change. He chose to make characters immortal through the memories of the living. As I said before, Hanji’s death was rushed and too instrumentalized. If he had displayed everything a little different, it would have been better.
As a side comment... Isayama’s virginal writting way may be a thing if he wants to write more mature content in his next works... --> comment for a friend of mine... he has indeed to improve his kissing scenes so they look more natural.
As favourite characters.... well... I like every character. I got to like every character even if they are evil because they are needed for the story. I like characters that are mistaken too because they portray through those flaws how humans truly are. My first is Levi of course and he will always be. Then EMA and Kenny. I have something for Ackermans as you see. As female character I relate to... Annie. I got to like Erwin and Reiner too. Falco is one of the new characters I like since the beginning.
And couples... all the canon couples. Falbi, Aruannie, Yumihisu. I enjoy how every couple had its own leitmotiv but all of them were in the end about freedom and how love can defy the chains of destiny. (And how Isayama just crushed them all without mercy...again, in order to show that in that cruel world full of wars there’s no way to enjoy love... However... change may come if we are lucky...)
So... That’s it! :)
Thanks for the ask! <3 Have a great day/night!

hey! so moving forward, are you going to be keeping up with the weekly episodes for snk's 3rd season again? i remember you saying that you wouldn't watch season 3 anymore due to how the uprising arc was ultimately handled, but since it seems that they are now adapting each episode at the pace they have done in previous seasons, i was curious about where you stand currently. will you be checking out certain episodes here or there or will you be watching snk when season 4 comes around?
aside from my previous ask, just wanted to stop by to say hey at least once! i like checking your blog every now & then. you’re very passionate about snk so it was heartbreaking to see ur reaction to the 1st few eps of season 3. i also remember u mentioning that the uprising arc is your favorite so it’s totally understandable as to why u felt that you just couldn’t keep watching ur fave arc be ruined. i would say give it a 2nd chance, then again it’s up to you if you want to continue.
even if you don’t answer everything else i said, thanks for at least reading it. have a great day.
Hello, hi! I am not sure if it’s okay for me to publish this or not, so definitely let me know if it wasn’t the case!
First of all, I want to thank you with all of my heart, because it’s heartwarming to see people being so understanding and genuinely kind to someone they don’t personally know. I know this sounds cliche, but it means a lot to me right now, as me not riding the hype train with everybody else has led to…me taking some distance from shingeki and people taking their distance from me. Real life hasn’t been nice to me lately, too, so I think I’ve been even more sensitive to the anime mishap and fandom shenanigans, which have just become unbearable for me. Add to that my feeling like I'm not welcome anymore, maybe because I myself don't like being negative in public...? Anyway, I am still doing my things on my own or with close friends until things calm down, if I'm not as active as I was in the past, it's not just because I don't like the anime adaptation; I'm recharging my positive energies atm.
So that being said, really, thank you for telling me all this. It helps. My heart physically hurt when you said you understand why I might have wanted to distance myself from something that disappointed me, as I’ve mostly received scorn or hate for that. And it hurt when you said it’s been heartbreaking to witness my tiny meltdowns (they were a lot worse in private lol)…it’s been heartbreaking for me, too, and I’m sorry if I made you feel negative emotions. But also thank you for sticking around, I appreciate you.
As for your questions…I’ve watched, out of curiosity, some of the recent episodes and they just made my blood boil, rip. I wasn’t going to watch the latest one but then I saw they had animated one of my favorite scenes so heck, I watched it and I can say I’ve enjoyed 99% of it and it reminded me of how S1 and S2 used to be for me ー all hype and feelings; I miss that. Maybe I had too many expectations for S3, as S2 imo was perfect (aside from a couple of things), to the point that it made me love an arc ー Clash of the Titans ー I didn’t really care much about in the manga. Now I’m still at a point that whenever I see something from Uprising I get so bitter, it’s almost like the anime ruined the arc for me as a whole (I know, sounds dramatic lol). BUT I GUESS I need time and respite before I can try watching past episodes. As of now, it’s not really something I want to do, but I appreciate your thoughts. And of course, I hope you’re enjoying the season!
However! I am currently excited about the next episode because of Zeke. My monkey boy is gonna be moving and he’s gonna talk omg I can't believe this so I’ll watch the part where he appears. Ok, probably the whole episode, as it features one of my favorite side-stories, I hope it's gonna be as emotional as the manga was. Also, I'm gonna definitely watch the following one because I need to see Carla and baby Eren and Shadis.
If by S4 you meant Return to Shiganshina…well…I really dislike that manga arc aside from the Grisha files and the Zeke-Levi’s fight, so I’ll probably only check those episodes out! I just want to say that even before all of this, I was still not going to watch RtS! If you meant Marley...I'll watch it for Zeke, ofc, and I'll be fine with cuts because there is nothing in that arc that really stuck to me or that I especially want to see animated aside from Zeke saying "eldian asses".
I hope you have a nice day, week, month!
