having soft thoughts of a sickie feeling guilty about puking up all the food caretaker made for them with so much love and care:
sickie having to maintain appearances, even as their poor stomach revolts agaisnt the heavy meal sitting inside it
sickie who can't help but grimace at the sight/smell/texture of the food, which makes caretaker think they might've messed it up
sickie clutching/hugging their middle as they try their hardest not to puke, thinking of the smile caretaker had on as they watched them eat, thinking they finally were starting to recover
sickie who has a hand clasped over their mouth, holding it tight to keep the food in no matter what, even to the protests of caretaker who's trying to tell them to just let it out, don't try to hold it
sickie who ends up losing the barely digested food over the blankets, sobbing apologies to a caretaker who's more worried about their well-being than anything else

Another thing I've been thinking about is the difference in finding someone actively throwing up, or alternatively finding them in that vulnerable, exhausted aftermath
Like, finding someone whilst they're actually being sick is so good because that person is totally indisposed and so obviously unwell. There's no way they can hide it at that point.
BUT and hear me out- finding someone who is not currently throwing up, but even though it's not actually happening right now- it is entirely obviously that they have just been sick. I also feel like the vulnerability displayed just AFTER they've been sick is even better. Like maybe the room smells like a hint of vomit, the person is clammy and coated in sweat, breathing heavily and hovering over the toilet in case there's more. They're utterly spent and exhausted.
Also, it's like, too late. They've already been sick, which is like the worst case outcome when it comes to nausea. It's already come to fruition, it's too late to try and stop it as it's already progressed to the point where they've thrown up.
I just have a thing for someone finding a sickie collapsed in front of the toilet with the room smelling faintly of vomit and it being obvious they've just been sick.
Just yes

Could you please do some dialogue prompts for a caretaker trying to comfort a sickee while they're throwing up?
This is quiet old so I’m not sure if you are still around anon but if you are sorry it took me so long to get to this one :)
1. “You’re going to feel so much better after this, the worst is nearly over”
2. “Don’t focus on the mess/others, focus on getting through this, you got this”
3. “Don’t worry, nobody could even tell you are sick”
4. “You’re not dying, you are doing extremely well”
5. You are actually pretty quiet when puking, no one will hear you”
6. “That came out of you… that’s impressive”
7. “See, there you go, throwing up isn’t as bad as you thought”
8. “Shh you aren’t disgusting at all sweetheart, it’s only natural”
9. “It’s okay, it happens to the best of us”
10. “Easy now love, there we go”
11. “I promise we will get you all cleaned up and feeling like new once you are done”
12. “You are so strong love, you’ll get through this”
13. “Get it all out, you’re being so brave for me”
14. *gently humming while rubbing their back*
15. “I know, I know it hurts, it’s nearly over love”
16. “Oh you poor thing, I got you”
17. “It’s okay to not be okay”
18. “Let it all out dear, I won’t leave you”
19. *while wiping their mouth/ forehead in between rounds* “there’s my lovely girl/boy/partner, still just as lovely as always”
20. “We all get sick sometimes, there is nothing to be ashamed of here”

Thinking about scenarios where the caretaker acknowledges the sickie's empty stomach/appetite a short while after they've thrown up:
Frowning in concern, raising an eyebrow, or chuckling when the formerly sick stomach lets out a deep, hungry growl.
"Feeling better now, are we?" (Said directly to Sickie or to the belly in question.)
"You threw up so much earlier/last night; you must be so hungry."
"Do you want something to eat? You did end up losing your dinner/lunch/breakfast..."
"I got you a snack for later, seeing as how you just completely emptied your stomach."
"I keep forgetting you've technically missed a meal..."
"You should eat something so that your stomach's not completely empty."
"All that puking must have worked up an appetite, right?"
"No wonder you're starving; you threw up until there was nothing left."
"Your poor stomach must feel so cheated out of its (insert meal/food type)."
I feel like most of these work best with tropes like motion sickness, where the nausea will most likely fade as soon as the sickie's environment changes, rather than lingering causes like actual sickness or food poisoning, but I suppose it depends on how much time has passed. Anyway, I hope someone out there can enjoy this product of my insomnia and trash brain 🖤

Been thinking about this all day so I gotta get it out of me somehow:
Normally stoic and badass characters suddenly throwing up after the adrenaline wheres off from a near death experience (monster showed up/mission gone wrong/you get the idea). They’re on their knees dry heaving and gasping for air in front of their team. Now said team is trying to figure out how to calm them down.

Because disastrously sick men wearing suits is one of my favorite things, and stranger caretakers is another one of my favorite things, have this scenario:
Character A is attending a meeting for a department on a different floor of the building he works in. It’s a sizable company, so it’s not possible to know everyone. Once the meeting is over/breaks for lunch, A stops in one of the bathrooms to take a piss, wash his hands, freshen up a bit. The bathroom is silent and A is positive he’s the only one there as he relieves himself and then washes his hands and messes with his hair in the mirror.
Then there’s an absolutely ear-splitting retch, the kind that sounds like it’s been pulled right out of the pit of your guts and grates your throat in a way that’s sure to make it sore later. A freezes, staring at himself in the mirror for a minute as he tries to decide what to do.
Then there’s a second equally-rough retch, a heavy splattering of liquid against liquid, and a very sick-sounding belch. A turns around to find that the farthest stall door is shut, and when he steps closer he can see the soles of dress shoes and the ankles of gray slacks of whoever’s kneeling on the floor.
“Are you...alright?” A asks hesitantly. He has no idea who it is that’s hurling--it could be anyone from the meeting he was just in, or it could be someone from elsewhere on the floor or the building.
There’s a burp and a short splash in response, and then Character B clears his throat. “Fine. Got it handled.”
The terse tone of his voice is ruined by how hoarse and thready it is, underscored by panting breaths and a grating gag. A doesn’t recognize the voice. He’s hovering near the stall, not quite sure if he should say anything else, when there’s the sound of B blowing his nose and the toilet flushing, and then the door swings open and they come face to face with one another.
A and B both recognize each other just from seeing one another around the building during work, but they don’t know each other’s names. A can’t help wincing, because B looks terrible. There’s a ring of sweat around the collar of his dress shirt, and his tie and jacket are both askew. His face is ashen pale, covered in a clammy sheen, and his eyes are the glossy bright of a fever. He’s glaring at A like his life depends on it, but it’s undermined by his visible trembling.
“Can I help you?” B asks with a voice that sounds totally wrecked by stomach acid.
A feels his ears go red, but his voice gets caught for a minute, taken aback by B’s surly attitude. “You sound rough. I just wanted to make sure you weren’t going to keel over.”
“I don’t know you,” B says shortly, heading for the sinks and washing his hands as if nothing’s happened. “The concern is appreciated, but not necessary.”
A can’t help but scoff at that. B somehow has gotten even paler, holding onto the sides of the sink with both hands and bowing his head.
“You must be fun to work with if you have this much of a stick up your ass even when sick,” A comments. “I was just trying-”
A cuts himself off with a yelp, because B’s knees seem to buckle. A grabs him under the shoulders, but B’s head lolls and to A’s utter horror and dismay, he passes out completely and his dead weight nearly topples them both to the floor.
B’s out for less than a minute, coming around with a groan, head rolling against A’s shoulder. He bats A’s hands away, and they scowl at each other.
Does A drive B home himself, after finding out from his boss where he lives? Does he take B back to his own office, or to A’s to rest a little? Does B give up the attitude for long enough to let A be helpful?
I do also like thinking about this scenario in a scat or both ends scenario, but I’m not sure what the climate is on that so decided to just do the emeto for now XDD
(PS. If you write something using this, tag me not even for credit but just because I’d be dying to read it XD.)

Public emeto/sickfic prompts
I just thought I’d make this list. Enjoy! (Hope you like commentary along with your Whump prompts)
You don’t need to credit me if you use these prompts, but I’d love to read whatever you write!
Warnings! Mentions of emeto/vomiting and likely a lot of embarrassment. (These are non-kink)
Character A has to give a presentation/speech/whatever your imagination can think up but they wake up with laryngitis or a sore throat and can’t speak. So, they take some meds for it. However, they neglected to read the label which states that side effects can include nausea and vomiting. It doesn’t hit them until they are standing in front of a whole crowd of people. Use your imagination as to whether they make it through or not.
Character A goes to work/school feeling bad. As the day goes on they start to feel worse. Then, during a quite session (silent reading/work time, etc) their stomach starts to make all sorts of sick noises. Bonus points if the character is normally really introverted and never makes much noise.
Character A and B are doing something for B’s birthday. Character A woke up feeling ill but doesn’t want to miss B’s birthday, they also don’t want their other friends to worry. So, when the friends start to eat, A forces themself to eat as well. This only makes them feel worse.
Character A has an office job where they have to work long hours, maybe something really important is going on or maybe they have a deadline to reach, I don’t know, it’s you’re story. They have been overworking themselves for days (or weeks) and have definitely caught something. Or maybe it’s just from eating and drinking nothing but coffee. But they come to work anyway because they don’t have time to call in sick (why did Ian just suddenly pop into my mind?) However, that probably wasn’t the best call. Use your imagination as to whether they get sick in front of someone else (hence the name “Public”) or somewhere else.
Going off of the last one: maybe A is preparing for a presentation which they can’t call in sick from. This leads to the presentation getting interrupted by the great puking show of 2023.
(Idol AU) Character A is a singer/actor who has to put on a live show. They wake up feeling terrible but go to work (or rehearsal, whatever you do before a show) however… I think you can deduce what happens next. A starts the show. A gets sick in front of an entire live crowd.
Character A has a rather important job, but, unlike our previous characters, they decide to take the day off. Unfortunately for them, it seems that their team cannot function without them! They get called in by their boss halfway though the day, saying that they absolutely must come into work that day. Maybe the team underestimated how sick A was, or maybe they just didn’t care, or just really needed their help. Either way, they realize their mistake when A can’t make it through the day without being sick.
Character A and their friends are going to an amusement park. From here I have multiple prompts:
A reluctantly goes on a ride with their friends but gets extremely motion sick. Unfortunately, due to a malfunction (or some other reason), they are stuck at the top of the ride. Maybe the ride is rocking slightly in the wind, or maybe the height is just to much, either way, A proceeds to get sick all over either themselves or their friends. Much to their shock.
A eats a bit to much junk food before going on a ride. No farther explanation required.
A desides to sit out a ride, maybe they’re already feeling a little sick or maybe they just don’t want to go one it. Either way, their friends go on the ride, leaving them sitting on a bench (or wherever) when they suddenly start feeling sick. Perhaps they got food poisoning from the ridiculous amount of junk food we eat on vacation or perhaps they caught a stomach bug from the ridiculous amount of people who neglect to was their hands! Either way, (I really need to find synonyms for “either way”) A is sick so suddenly they don’t have time to find a restroom, much to their friend’s surprise.
Okay, last one for amusement parks. Maybe the group is a group of kids or maybe they’re just younger adults, either way, *cough cough* AT ANY RATE, they are off running around the amusement park on their own, no parents in sight (or older adults, but I see this one more for kids) when A starts of feel sick. Either they decide against telling their friends or, you know, they decide to. AT ANY RATE, (so sorry) the friends have no idea what to do, they look for their parents but can’t find them. The situation gets even worse when A gets sick before they can find a restroom.
Character A is going on a vacation with a friend and their family. Unfortunately, they end up getting extremely motion sick (maybe their driving through the mountains or something). However, they don’t want to bother their friend and so decide to just try and sit it out. This doesn’t work and they end up being sick all over their friend’s car. Bonus points if A doesn’t really know their friend’s parents and isn’t that comfortable around them. Bonus, bonus points if A remains sick even after getting out of the car and has to deal with being sick in an unfamiliar environment with adults they barely know. (Also makes for a good fluff prompt between the friends.)
Thank you for staying with me to the end!
If you want me to write one of these send me a number (or multiple) and I’ll write it for one of my OCs!

I had a fun emeto dream so I’ll put it here as a scenario.
A and B are at a shopping centre, a quite large one with multiple floors. A starts feeling a bit sick, and ends up throwing up into the plastic bag B has at hand. After the vomiting stops, they tie the bag to avoid mess and discuss the quickest way to get home.
But after a while, they begin to feel sick again and A realizes the bag is tied too tightly for them to reuse it. B has to rush into a shop and either plead them for some plastic bags or just take it and run. If they’re unlucky, the clerk could be mean about it and tell them they have to pay for each individual plastic bag. B has to stand firm and tell them it’s an emergency, their friend needs something to throw up in or else it’ll be on the floor right in front of the stores.
I didn’t get to the part where they either lose their lunch on the floor or manage to get the bag in time, so it’s up to you guys whether they get to preserve their dignity.

imagine a sickie going through a lengthy explanation about some topic, just as the nausea sets in. you notice how their voice sounds a bit shaky, just slightly deeper, they seem to be slurring a bit. until they have to pause, and swallow. when they talk again, you can almost hear the lump in their throat.
what was that? you know, so you tell them to continue. sickie goes on, talking a bit slower so you can understand and they don't choke. it doesn't work, and they have to pause again, swallowing audibly this time.
their voice is thick with nausea when they talk again. and they trail off into an airy gasp, their mouth is open, their lips are puckered and you can tell they are trying not to gag. it fails, and you hear when their throat convulses and their tongue curls, it is a wet sound. a gurgle follows but it's short-lived as they swallow yet again.
what did you say? you ask, trying to sound clueless. sickie starts again, but is interrupted by another gag. this one is harsh and you hear just as they lose control of their voice, letting out a small whimper. they press a fist to their mouth, trying to suppress the next gag, but it forces it's way past him.
sickie, everything alright? you finally ask when they go completely silent. sickie tries to speak, gets half a word out, maybe even less than that before they retch into their fist. you hear the gurgle traveling up their throat, and you hear the violent rush of stomach contents into their hand, you even the splatter on the floor, and the thick slurry dripping.
then a moment of silence, before a small timid voice tells you the obvious: they just threw up all over themselves.

Whumpee shows up to work lethargic and crabby. Halfway through the morning they have to run to the bathroom to be sick. The Team teases them lightheartedly.
"Must have been some night out!"
"Had a party and didn't invite us?"
This happens more than once; Whumpee gains a reputation as a party person. They don't deny it.
Little do the Team know, Whumpee's occasional condition has nothing to do with having fun.
