having soft thoughts of a sickie feeling guilty about puking up all the food caretaker made for them with so much love and care:
sickie having to maintain appearances, even as their poor stomach revolts agaisnt the heavy meal sitting inside it
sickie who can't help but grimace at the sight/smell/texture of the food, which makes caretaker think they might've messed it up
sickie clutching/hugging their middle as they try their hardest not to puke, thinking of the smile caretaker had on as they watched them eat, thinking they finally were starting to recover
sickie who has a hand clasped over their mouth, holding it tight to keep the food in no matter what, even to the protests of caretaker who's trying to tell them to just let it out, don't try to hold it
sickie who ends up losing the barely digested food over the blankets, sobbing apologies to a caretaker who's more worried about their well-being than anything else

When A is woken up in the middle of the night and at first they’re not sure why. They rub their eyes and look around blearily; all looks in order. But damn they’re hot. And as soon as that thought appears, they realize with a start it’s coming from next to them - and they look down in horror at B, laying curled into their side. B is absolutely radiating heat - so much so that A is sweaty just from being pressed against them, though no where near as drenched as B. B is shaking and whimpering pathetically, and looks pale even in the low light of the moon, with bright red spots high on their cheeks. A realizes they must not have been feeling well for a while and not mentioned anything, because with a fever like this there’s no way B didn’t go to bed feeling terribly unwell. And A hadn’t noticed.
A tries to wake B up gently, knowing they need to take their temperature and get them some water and meds, but after a few gentle hair strokes and rubbing of B’s arm, they realize B isn’t rousing at all. And if anything their face seems more pained and frightened than it had a minute ago. A starts getting frantic, shaking B harder and calling their name in a panic. They see B’s eyes flutter beneath the lids briefly, then stop as their head dropped even more towards the bed. A’s stomach drops when they realize their aren’t able to rouse B at all. Uh oh.

Whump Prompt #006
That little moment when Whumpee is very ill, lying in their bed at home, half-conscious, limp, and burning with fever. Caretaker is incredibly worried and mentioning taking Whumpee to a hospital. Suddenly Whumpee grabs Caretaker's hand with strength Caretaker didn't know they had, squeezing it as they gaze at Caretaker with more focus than they've seen all day.
"D-don't go."
The words are slurred and shaky, but paired with Whumpee's tears, the Caretaker can't even say no.

There's just something about a character who wakes up feeling worse than they did before, groaning at how scratchy their throat is and how stuffed up they are. Their sinuses felt swollen and even more itchier than before.
"Hhh-i'hKSHIEW! hhH- Hehh- HECHOO! Ugh" They blew their nose despite knowing it wont do anything. It felt like even after clearing their nose, a sneezing fit would come by and fill up their sinuses with mucus once again. It was horrid.
Everytime they move, they can feel every part of their body aches and when they try to get up the headache kicks in so they lay back on the bed again.
"Unnghdn- sleeb was subbose to bage be feel bedder. Why is id worse? Ugh" They whined, knowing any slight noise they make hurts their throat, but they just didn't care. Nothing can possibly make this cold worse, they thought to themselves.

the most wholesome gushy caretaker comforting sickie prompts?
Thank you for the ask! I'll use "Whumpee" as a "Sickie" if you don't mind. (I just wrote that out of habit)
Caretaker comforting Sickie/Whumpee
Whumpee in their delirious state are calling for Caretaker. Caretaker shushes them and pets their hair soothingly. (C:) "I'm right here, it's okay. I'm here". But Whumpee in a fever doesn't seem to understand. (W:) "Caretaker... I love you so much, Caretaker". It's the very first time they say it. Because Whumpee probably doesn't know what they're saying, Caretaker doesn't ask any questions. Just hugs them closer "I know. Me too"
The Leader figure that always seemed distant, sits beside young protagonist's bed to make sure they keep breathing (some serious sickness). Protagonist wakes up and sees the Leader sitting in the armchair, smoking cigarette/reading newspaper to the nighlight.
Caretaker blowing at Whumpee's burn injuiry, because it helps to soothe the pain. But it hurts non stop, so Caretaker sits with them for hours, even at night. It really helps. Whumpee finally stops crying. Their face is all wet from tears, but they calm down and breathe deeply. They realise how tired they were. Finally Whumpee falls asleep. Caretaker keeps blowing at the wound even then.
It's a hot night, but Whumpee suffers from heavy fever. And feels so so cold. Shivers under the blankets. (Maybe some magical freezing sickness?). Caretaker hugs them to warm them up, even tho Caretaker's almost boiling. It's summer.

Allow me to emphasise: cozy-sick vibes
A sick character sitting up in bed, a fuzzy blanket draped over their legs. They're dressed in a comfy sweater, or even a onesie, trying to keep themselves as warm as possible.
A sick character cradling a warm cup of soothing, herbal tea in their cold hands, sipping on it delicately in hopes of easing their stomach cramps.
Sickie's concerned friend dropping by to visit them and bringing along a stuffed animal as a present. Sickie cuddles up with the present, and is perhaps gifted a forehead kiss or two~
Sickie's s/o runs a warm bath for them in an attempt to soothe their lover's cold, stiff muscles.
Soup is a compulsory meal in a sickfic. I don't even need to point this out :)
A sly caretaker is always good. Perhaps sickie refuses to take their medicine, so caretaker offers to make them a warm drink and sneakily mixes the medicine with said drink.
May I mention... ✨️belly rubs✨️ There's something so adorable about a sick character being soothed in this way. Belly rubs don't even have to serve a medical purpose; the intention could just be to comfort the sickie physically.

Older character becoming super clingy and having some separation anxiety from their younger caretaker, because they can't see or hear very well and being sick just amplifies that vulnerability.

Think about a sickie being so weak and tired they can barely keep themselves awake, constantly drifting in and out of consciousness
Every time they wake up they feel worse. Maybe it started as them just trying to sleep off a small headache, but as times goes on is becomes clear something is really wrong
The first time, they wake up covered in sweat, it feels like their skin is on fire. They're probably running a fever, their whole body hurts. They wonder if a shower would help, they feel gross and clammy. It really does sound nice, but they feel so weak they can't bring themselves to at least try to get up, the ache in their muscles tells them it's not worth the effort
They second time they wake up their throat is dry and feels like it's been rubbed with sandpaper. Some water, or maybe tea would definitely do them some good. A groan scapes their lips just thinking about how far away the kitchen is. They fidget uncomfortably at the feeling of the blankets sticking to their skin, and they can only whimper at the way each breath feels like it's raking over their throat. They feel so bad, soon exhaustion takes over their body as they fall asleep again
They don't manage to sleep much, getting woken up by a cramp not long after. Great, guess their stomach joined the party too. They squirm a bit as they place a hand on their belly, feeling it shift under their fingers
Their stomach makes a loud gurgling sound, and they can't help but whimper as a hiccup makes their whole body jolt. They feel so so sick, they hiccup again, wetter this time, and they feel like there's lava burning at the back of their throat
Sleep doesn't come so easy this time, they spend a long time writhing in bed, alternating between kicking off the covers when the fever makes them feel like they're melting, and pulling them back on not long after, shivering from head to toe, teeth chattering from the cold
Acid reflux is not helping their sore throat at all, and soon they start coughing too. God, they really wish they had a glass of water to somehow calm the painful itch on their throat
The hiccups only help to increase the pain on their upset stomach, curling into a ball and pressing their hand deeper into their belly each time it cramps. Their stomach is killing them, and the heating pad is in their room, only a few steps away, but they're in no condition to get up rn, the thought alone is enough to make them tear up
They don't remember falling asleep, but they wake up feeling more nauseous than they ever felt in their entire life, and so so dizzy, almost like if they were on a boat in the middle of a storm, everything seems to be moving
They curl into a ball seeking both warmth and relief from the pain. They're shivering all over, it seems like they kicked the covers off the bed at some point, so now they just get added to the list of things that would really help them if only they had the strength to reach for them
They get shaken from their thoughts when a wet burp pushes it's way past their lips, and they whimper, pressing their face to the mattress.
They just pray their roommate gets home soon, cause they doubt they'd manage to at least lean over the edge of the bed when they inevitably start puking
They're lucky enough to fall asleep again, scaping from their misery for a while. Or maybe they're not so lucky, the next time they open their eyes they do it mid heave. Hot vomit splashing all over their bed, their clothes, clinging to their face.
Their stomach gurgles loudly, and they feel the back of their throat spasming. They need to get up *now*, their stomach is clearly not done, they need to get to the bathroom, or at least grab a trashcan. There's puke all over their hair, maybe they should aim for the bathroom and take a bath too. Fuck, the bedsheets are covered in vomit, they can't sleep there.
The thought of laying on a puddle of their own vomit is enough to make them gag again, burning liquid rushing up their throat and out of their mouth and nose. They cough and actually try to get up, weakly proping themselves up on shaky arms. Everything seems so sway in front of their eyes and they heave again, loud and violent. The force of it is enough to make them land on the mattress again.
All they manage to do is whimper, as tears start rolling down their cheeks. They feel so sick, their throat is on fire and breathing hurts, their head feels like it's gonna explode, their stomach won't stop cramping and somehow they feel dizzy even though they're laying down. They're sure their fever has gone up, everything hurts so much
Their quiet cries soon turn into desperate sobs as they catch a glimpse of the clock on their nightstand. They have at least a few more hours before their roommate gets home
They manage to roll over so at least they're not lying directly on their vomit, and curled up like that they cry themselves to sleep, hoping that their roommate would be there the next time they wake up

Things that sickies say and do that are just 💓💖💫💞🌟
• beg for belly rubs "would you ease rub my tummy it hurts so much"
• let out little wet belches before they throw up
• just completely give in to the nausea and just let it all out after trying to hold it back
• whiny sickies that beg to be babies while they feel sick
• being held while they throw up
• apologizing over and over again if they miss the bucket/toilet or if they get sick on themselves/caretaker
Feel free to add more

why does chatgpt insist on having every story end with A and B becoming closer? when can i have a story where B faces the repercussions of what they did to make them feel sick, and A scold them? why is it always B realizing what they did wrong and understanding not to do it again, and then A and Bs bond strengthens? like imagine bonding over throwing up

thinking of a cute sickie dry heaving for a while, unable to get anything up. caretaker patting their back, telling them to relax, it will come up, but sickie just continues to gasp and drool over a trash can, desperate for some relief to their nausea. eventually caretaker manages to calm them down, pry the bin out of their shaky hands and put it away while getting them to lay back. try to rest, they say.
sickie tries, they really do, but when they least expect it, a sudden gag, a weak heave or a distracted burp brings their previous meal to their mouth. they barely have the time to react and leap out of bed, letting it all out on the floor. caretaker is by their side in an instant, rubbing their back, pulling their hair out of the way, hurrying to get the trash can in time, all the while offering them comforting words and easing them through the motions of heaving their guts up. at least they got it out, they aren't mad.

An overworker who so desperately wants someone to tell them to take a break, because they so badly want one and they know they need one but they can't give themself one.
They work themself sick, yet still, with a blanket wrapped around their shivering form, pale skin as white as the blanks that their foggy mind keeps drawing, and a crimson flush on their warm, tear-stained cheeks, they keep working.
Their partner checks on them.
"Oh...! Oh, honey. Oh, my baby. I didn't know it was this bad..." They rush closer and wrap their arms tight around their sick sweetheart and whisper, "Honey, please stop. You've done enough, you need to rest."
Finally given permission to have a break, they simply melt into their partners arms, practically going limp like a tired little ragdoll. "...okay..." is all they manage to mumble before sleep finally wins the battle that'd been going for weeks.
They're carried from their desk to their bed, covers are layed over them, they're tucked in nice and snug, and when they wake up, they'll probably cry. This is exactly what they needed someone to do.

Caretaker is SOOOO pissed and hysterical with panic over Sickie’s state. Sickie had just minutes before sworn they were fine. And now here they are, collapsed on the floor in a heap of limp limbs, and Caretaker is screaming and ranting at them before they can even think. After unleashing on them, Sickie looks up at Caretaker with wet, glossy eyes, looking positively pitiful, and in a weaker voice than could be imagined stutters out “I’m sorry….I…I really didn’t know…it was this bad.” The look of utter confusion and remorse on Sickie’s face is just so genuine and so pathetic that Caretaker can’t help but feel an immediate crushing wave of guilt.

stoic/"unfeeling" caretaker with a sickie that absolutely can not take care of themself at the moment and keeps denying that they need help so as not to bother or anger the caretaker... then the caretaker is more angry that they were hiding their illness rather than that they're ill

Sickies on a plane!! So many whump possibilities!
•The air on the plane is always cold and dry. Are their lips chapped from mouth breathing? Does it make their nose dry and stuffy or does the cold air make it run?
•Do they get embarrassed easily? Are they getting flares from other healthy people on the plane who are annoyed with their coughing or sneezing?
•Are they stuck in the middle seat and are just uncomfortable?
•Are they traveling alone or with a partner or friends? Does the partner try and shield them from the looks they keep getting?
•Everyone else on the plane ordering juice or soda, but they just want tea.
•Also like. Do not even get me started on the contagion situation. They literally cannot leave?!
