#fallforcostume day 15 is #blue and as a follow on from one of yesterday’s posts (*cough i mean three days ago cough*) i thought i’d explain my next project. it all started when @americanduchess released their emma boots and i fell in love, and so a regency outfit got bumped up the priority list to next after kat. i ordered the boots (via @larosecoutureshari). and then i got carried away and have now decided to make three gowns, but luckily they can use the same underpinnings and accessories, which will save time (right?). gown no. 1 will be the classic white muslin, preferably with a small woven pattern like a spot or a check. it will be based on this pattern from patterns of fashion, but without the train and under sleeves. gown no. 2 will be a linen sleeveless number with a long sleeve shirt/chemisette underneath (similar to the ones pictured here). it will not have a button front like the last, but will fasten at the centre back. gown no. 3 will be a high necked pleated affair in a printed cotton. i’ve seen a few of these around but the most recent i spotted was in P&P ‘95 on mary bennet. and then to top them all off i will make a blue velvet spenser, a bonnet trimmed with blue flowers, a matching blue velvet reticule, and maybe even a parasol. but none of this will happen until 2020, because i cannot sew all day everyday, because you know, real life and everything 😢 #regency #regencydress #regencyfashion #periodfashion #historicalfashion #periodsewing #historicalsewing #janeausten #prideandprejudice #jamaicainn #sanditon #boots #shoes #americanduchess #empireline #muslin #sewingproject #sewingplans https://www.instagram.com/p/B3peRGRAQaG/?igshid=1xzcjdo4ykhxe

October air nips at naked legs and pins her cheeks into a bright pink. Goosebumps are spread evenly across bronze skin and the floral sundress worn offer no warmth. She should’ve gone HOME ; tucked herself into a duvet and rinsed off the remaining of her make-up, but she doesn’t. Instead her inebriated and emotional self is driven in the direction of a friend. FRIEND - - she could use one of those right about now. Darkness surrounds the Holstad residence and it seems it breathes it as well. But even as the lights are dimmed within the suburban, and the porch light switched off, Sawyer Kinney has her hopes up. Frozen and unsteady movements leads her around the building, kicking un-raked leaves of autumn, and into the backyard. Frostbitten grass illuminated by a singular lit window, and she huffs a breath of relief that solidifies before her as an opaque cloud of remaining warmth. Pebbles collected from below are now tossed at glass between impatient pauses until a boy shows up in the brightly colored frame. A smile is mustered upon the sight, numb fingers wiping off the dampness of her cheeks before he can catch a proper look. “ What are you doing up? It’s late. ” / @empirelines

Javier avoids coming to the club as much as he can — most of the business there falls under Ed’s responsibility anyways but tonight, duty calls for him ( some sort of meeting about the latest finance reports, he’s not quite sure ). As he seats himself at one of the more secluded booths in the club, Javier suddenly realises that his habit of being an early bird backfires on him in this particular situation. He’ll have to sit out here much longer than necessary and the thought makes him shift uneasily in his seat. A waitress pulls him out of his thoughts by asking him if he’d like a drink and for a moment, Javier hesitates — after all, he is here on business. HERE’S A SAD HC. emma would get these cheapo but very heartfelt christmas gifts with the little money she had for frivilous spending every winter, probably some dollar store toys or books or whatever. while she was there, she always got a card and a gift for mark too, all the way through college, even when molly n maude stopped accepting her gifs ( s/o to mason, he a real one ) ... she wouldn’t put them out at their shitty christmas tree, but instead would wrap them up and put them in a big box in her closet. if mark had come home earlier, he would have been proudly presented with gifts all the way from “emma phillips, age 12″ to gifts when she was in her twenties. three years before he came back, however, she unwrapped all of them, and still crying, donated them to some christmas gift drive. he wouldn’t need them if he was never coming home, right? the cards, however, are still in that box in her closet, along with all the letters she wrote him. she just doesn’t have the heart to throw them away.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon for KITTY / as lame and stupid as it might sound to those who are not as CULTURED as her ( or as sims, i guess ), kitty loves to stargaze and cloudgaze. she isn’t just gonna lie on her front lawn, so she’ll go into the woods like some fucking dangerous freak and just lie down, absorbing nature and looking at the sky. it’s a good time to get absorbed in thought or just ... not think at all, and she especially loves it when she’s as high as a kite. her favorite cloud shape she’s ever seen looked like a dragon, and when she’s stargazing, she always finds the north star first.
