One of the things that I love to see in hive city art is the recognition that even the large, open spaces are all indoors. Pillars of incredible girth uphold the vaults, above, and the conurbation stacked thereupon. You could live your entire life in the literal strata of your social station and never know a world beyond it.
Even the comparatively nice places are an overbuilt megalopolitan horror. Darktide has been exceptional in this regard, and continues to deliver.
Hasbro is collaborating with game developer Fatshark to bring a new 4 player co-op horde shooter based in the MLP universe!
Here is a screenshot of the hero select screen, still a work in progress of course. As you can see, Twilight Sparkle's first class--Student of Magic--is the only character imported so far, but more screenshots are soon to come! Stay tuned!
Vermintide was a great idea. Take the OG Warhammer - overlooked in wider culture compared to its 41st Millennium counterpart - and turn it into a horde shooter with masses of Skaven providing said horde. It was perhaps inevitable that the considerably less overlooked Warhammer 40,000 would get the same treatment.
The classes are nearly identical to careers, save for grenades, and, so far, the overwhelming bulk of the “70+ weapons” shown are just variations on each other.
Visually, the game is lovely. The audio and music are fantastic. The combat is punchy and responsive. Ammo economy is very nice. Special enemies need more variations.
The class system is straight up miserable, and them potentially (definitely) charging money to add 1 class for each character per year is actually terrible.
