I am gutted. This isn’t fair. I have so many stories to tell and so much left to give to these muses of mine. I love them and the stories I’ve told with them so much. I had so much more to give. There was supposed to be so much in store. But what would it say about me if I continued to RP with an admin who said changing a white FC to POC would mess things up. AND I QUOTE. “I don’t want the siblings from all over the place”. Is this how we treat characters of color who are adopted?? Like they are “all over the place”? Like they’re not truly family? Like they don’t belong? It disgusts me that I played so many adopted muses and all the while the admin who accepted those applications thinks siblings who are different ethnicities because of adoptions aren’t true family. Mind you, there was a chance to remedy this and they, instead, agreed to remove the person who called out the injustice. I JUST revamped Maria, who stands for equality and justice and it would be hypocritical of me not to do what’s right. I hope the admins are happy with their decisions. I hope they are happy wasting the time and talents of WOC writers.

Esmeray was supposed to be a mother and realize that superficial things and power are not what the world is about.

Victoria was supposed to grow up and get her heart broken, but be all the braver for it and overcome those fears she’s always carried.

Joanna was supposed to be a fighter, for her husband, for her country, for her sisters. She was supposed to learn the true meaning of sacrifice.

Maria was supposed to find her heart again, after so many years of abandoning it. She was supposed to understand that service to justice is an entirely selfless act.

Gizella was supposed to be a mother and find that true, fulfilling love that she has always felt had been missing.

Natasia was supposed to rule. It’s what she was meant to do. She was supposed to show the world that she was not as small as they made her feel.

Salome was supposed to overcome her past and put the heartaches of her childhood behind her.

51. How do you think the RP/Fandom community has grown or changed since you started?

MUNDAY RP MEME: HOW // ACCEPTING!

When I first started the rpc was very forgiving and brutal at the same time. This was back in like 2013-2015 time frame for me. Back then the trend was really tragic characters, hard to interact with and plotting was more of a thing that was rare and world building was kinda coming into light? I unfortunately made a lot of mistakes trying to follow the trends and trying to popular by making people like my characters.

It seemed at the time the only way you get interactions was if your character was severely traumatized and didn't really have development/overcoming said trauma. If your muse was hurt in the worse way possible then that character was worshipped and you were applauded for it.

My mistake/biggest regret was taking aspects of writers lore that they made for their character specially and applied it to my own. Basically copy and paste and I was rightfully called out for it. Callouts were very big, up to the point of light doxxing, tracking ips and basically warning Fandoms to not interact with you and they didn't give you much more room for apologizes or improvement.

How that's changed? We do our research, we credit the inspirations even if it's something little as locations, traits or other writers that helped you come up with the lore. I love that now, and I've learned from my past mistakes/regrets. I credit everything, from songs, to TV shows, movies and video games. I cover all my basis. As for characters, we no longer torture our characters or make them hard to interact. We establish a real story-telling aspect of beginning, the conflict, the climax and the resolution. We actually want our characters to grow and develop but still acknowledging the shit we put them through.

In addition, we also use our characters to talk about topics that need to be addressed. Writer over at @anomalouss and myself tackle Mental Health and illness. I focus more on the recovery of it, normalizing that it's okay to spiral but you can always crawl your way back up if you have a system that works. While Kat, she focuses on the various mental illness/diagnosed conditions and protrays them in a way that's VERY realistic compared to the water-downed verison that media shows us. She makes it known that certain characters are bad for this,that and the third but also making them intractable that they have their good/amazing days.

Another note is the face claims, proper casting, making sure that the characters background matches the actor/actress to include names. I'll be honest the best example would be @indigodreames . Jem took the time to educate me on an OC/NPC that I had for Victoria's best friend - I gave her a generic Hispanic name, and she educated me that the fc I picked had a different background. She also took up that OC, gave her a cultural accurate name and background that does her justice. In addition to her Asian muses from South Korea, I believe the Philippines and Japan? Jem, please correct me if I'm wrong! The same also applies to you ! @shchvnts reading your lore on the vampires that are native to your characters country was very enlightening ! It actually inspired me to go into my own vampire lore so be on the lookout for that later on today!

Overall, the RPC is constantly evolving, educating and taking accountability for actions. Some like myself learn from young and dumb actions when they first started and others? Well, I hope they catch up with the times and understand you can still have fun, take it seriously but at the end of the day as long as you're not disrespectful, making drama, and ruining the experience for everyone; everything should turn out fine.

Elisa Gagnon, 38 years old, Bookstore Clerk, Werewolf, FC: Lexa Doig ( Bio Under The Cut )

Elisa was abandoned as an infant in the deep mountains in British Columbia. She was soon found by the werewolf pack, including an Alpha named Christine. These werewolves chose to raise Elisa as their own, treating her like a family despite Elisa was born human.

Through her first five years, Elisa had learned to live and survive in the wilderness. She became a great hunter and expert climber, even the werewolves have relied on her to hunt for food, especially large animals. After seeing how werewolves move and act, Elisa wanted to be one, much to Christine’s surprise. But Christine didn’t want to hurt the girl. Discouraged, Elisa chose to leave her werewolf family and began to search for her real parents, until she stumbled upon the small town orphanage and she under the supervision of Victoria, the direction of the orphanage. 

Elisa got everything there. She had a good education, learned basic etiquettes and received clothing, food and bed. Elisa was well-fed and taken care of until she grew up on her teens. She was soon adopted by the Gagnons and became her family name since.

When Elisa finished high school, she remained unemployed for months. She started to look for a job until she managed to find a job at a local bookstore. Elisa then moved out from her adoptive parents, things have turned out well for her, even met several customers. And that was how she met her future husband, Tyler Campbell. Tyler was a man who has a decent high paying job, a business lawyer. Tyler and Elisa began to date for five years, then eventually got married.

Elisa lived a happy life, but as years went by, Tyler started to lose interest in Elisa and he became abusive towards her, he even got angry when she couldn’t get pregnant. Tyler even cheated on her and when Elisa found out, they got into an argument. And when Elisa was about to call her adoptive parents about her living situation, Tyler then physically hit and beat her to death, then buried her body close to the place where Elisa was found as an infant.

Christine happened to find Elisa again. Wanting to save Elisa, Christine finally bit her in hopes Elisa came back to life. And when Elisa was finally awake surrounded by Christine and her pack, Elisa was confused and had this odd feeling she wasn’t human anymore. Christine explained everything to her, even told Elisa she saved her life so she can live by turning her into a werewolf. It was hard for Elisa at first to adapt her new life as a werewolf, but having stayed in the wilderness for months and under the supervision of Christine, Elisa managed to learn to control her shifting and her other powers. Elisa now possessed some werewolf powers and abilities. Her senses have incredibly heightened, is much stronger and faster than an average human, even her condition, endurance and stamina is very high. She can even heal herself, shapeshift, grow sharp fangs and claws on her werewolf form.

When Elisa was confident and accepted her life as a werewolf, Elisa went back to the city, filed a divorce and pressed charges against Tyler. Although Tyler was surprised at how Elisa managed to live, Elisa wanted justice and have him arrested for physically abusing her. She resumed her job as a bookstore clerk, and her adoptive family know about her werewolf secret, still accepted her for who she is.

Additional Facts:

Elisa’s weaknesses are silver, mountain ash and wolfsbane

Her love language is Words Of Affirmation.

Elisa can still eat human foods, preferably raw meat and seafoods.

Elisa is physically strong enough to hurt or kill a person, and if any man has a malicious intent towards her (like Tyler), she’d break their necks without hesitation.

When Elisa transforms, she grows feral and aggressive everytime there is a full moon. Elisa is still working on controlling her emotions but since she is now a werewolf, it can get out of control and becomes more animalistic. 

Elisa still feels pain during transformations.

They meet at Ethan and Victoria’s wedding, Victoria having known Anthony from working round the hospital, he works in the PEDS department. They announce they are a couple at Christmas.

Aurora ends up treating him in the ER for his diabetes which is how they meet. He later comes back asking for her name and they go out for a drink. This happens 6 months after E and V’s wedding (so this month) and they become an item at the end of January.

I’ve decided that Elijah and Phoebe reconnect (because her suddenly disappearing makes no sense) and Jackie and Kyra don’t end up with anyone but they become the chaotic aunties to the gangs children lol. And I already have the HC of Raf ending up with one of Victoria’s friends Jennifer.
