How are we not to suffer the same? But that is not fair! Neither is sin and death. Life is unfair, and we live in a broken and fallen world. But I do have good news. The good news is we are promised a life of blessing for suffering for righteousness' sake. (I also think there is false theology of what it means to be blessed, but that is for another time) We are called to the same identity as Christ. We are called to be suffering servants. To walk as a Holy nation, a chosen race, and a royal priesthood. There was a dark time I suffered a deep rejection, and I was suffering. I cried out to the Lord and said, "but they rejected me!! And He spoke softly and said, " but I did not reject you." So for my friends who are suffering, God did not leave you. He is there. He has suffered too. He understands and He loves you.
