Hey all! You may have seen me reblogging posts for the Starscourge: A Goth FFXV Zine frequently. I wanted to talk about the @ffxv-goth-zine a bit to give you an idea of why it’s so important to me.

This is the first zine I’ve been the head mod for, and it’s been a labor of love in a way that words cannot express. Our chosen charity is the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, a foundation established after the murder of Sophie Lancaster due to her being dressed as Goth. Please check out more on the foundation here: www.sophielancasterfoundation.com. They have an invaluable mission, and I’m proud that Goths in the fandom can support Goth foundations worldwide.

This zine is also so important to me due to the amount of contributor effort that has gone into this zine. It is gorgeous, both in the artwork and the written work. Each contributor has put in countless hours to making this zine perfection. The least I can do is my best effort to make it the zine we believe it can be.

I thoroughly believe in this zine. I believe that this zine will be amazing, that the contributors deserve the praise that they receive, that the mods backing me have been tirelessly diligent in putting forth their best effort. 

This zine, the merch, and everything that went into it, is a display of an overwhelming amount of love for FFXV and Gothic Culture, from the music to the aesthetic, to the variations and cultural considerations. 

Lastly, the mod team has worked hard to ensure that we will keep this zine as affordable as possible while still enabling us to donate to charity. We firmly believe that zines should be accessible, and we took a lot of feedback through social media posts and polls to determine what price points people are comfortable with so we could bring you this zine at prices that are more affordable to all.

I am honored and humbled to lead this team, and I cannot express how firmly I believe that all who purchase this zine will thoroughly enjoy it. From the in zine content to the merch to the NSFW PDF, this zine has been a labor of love that all will enjoy and I cannot express adequately the joy and love I feel for my team.

I hope you all check out the Starscourge: A Goth FFXV Zine and enjoy it, should you choose to purchase. 

The zine goes on sale February 22nd, containing 5 different tiers, a NSFW PDF add on option, and stretch goals for reaching the sales we need to include them for physical orders. Each physical purchase comes with a surprise piece of merch as well.

The past month has been Really Interesting in the Real Life front, but before all that happened, I applied for two zines and signed up for two Big Bang events, so now... I have, in addition to Cracked, 4 fics to write, and I’m just glad I have until January to finish everything.

I’m writing for:

The World of Ruin Big Bang -- where all fics are related to events during the World of Ruin, woot!

The LuNoct Big Bang -- celebrating Luna and Noctis!

Starscourge: A Goth FFXV Zine -- with content celebrating all aspects of Goth Culture!

Le Chat Noir: A FFXV Nyactis Zine -- where all content relates to Noctis and his love and appreciation for cats! (Or Noctis AS a cat...!)

I signed up for mini-bang-length fics for the two Big Bangs (so around 3000 words, rather than 10,000...) but the World of Ruin fic, at least, is already in the 7K word range and I still have half the outline to get to. The two zine fics will be less than 1,500 each. So not too bad! 

Now if only Real Life would stop being Interesting, so I could put my creative brain power to work!

On the Cracked front... Chapter 42 is at the half-way point, and I should have a draft complete soon! I... kind of long for the days when I had a 5-chapter buffer. Omigosh, I long.
