Driving around northern Namibia (July 2017) I met this young Himba girl. She was in charge of a campsite next to the Kunene River, river that works as a natural border with Angola. We couldn’t communication with words.... there was no need. I managed to asked for some photos.... I guess she accepted. She was covered in orange..... to protect against the sun, and with a smoky smell..... to protect against the mosquitos. That simple. We shared some fresh popcorn..... and that was it.
