This beauty is from the morning glory family.... It's name though is quite a mouthful.... Slender dwarf morning glory or botanic name evolvulus glomeratus. It's simply a beautiful blue little flower. Easy to grow.... Loves the sun. After all the pinks red and oranges a splash blue was a welcome change. Sometimes making a small little change makes the monotonousness a little more interesting...... White is the color of peace..... another bloom from the garden. I am more philosophical today than a gardener..... looking for answers to questions I am not able to frame. I witnessed another completion of the circle of life, and as usual, the futility of going through the whole circle and it's major milestones seems lost to me. We come, as we go. All we carry with us to the beyond are experiences and some profound interactions with the people we meet along in the journey..... Only to repeat this whole cycle all over again. Honestly..... It seems exhausting and so futile. Yet we again wake up in the morning, looking forward to yet another day. They visit me every May without fail, Bloom throughout the month, then go dormant for the rest of the year. My precious may flower is back. I had five this year till now and they are as pretty as ever. I wish like my amaryllis they would bloom all year but I guess that's what makes her special. I am still losing family members to the dreaded Chinese virus and I am praying that it stops. Just stops !!!! I wish this little beauty who comes just but once a year brings us hope that this is the end. Next time she is visits we will all be living as we did before the virus struck. I had bumper luck with my adeniums this time. My desert Rose bloomed and kept blooming. Pinky bloomed after a very long time. One of the lessons this pandemic has taught me is the importance of oxygen and plants being the oxygen generation power houses I have decided to let no patch of land or no pot go empty. Out of all the amazing miracles of nature, I have been very lucky to observe one at my home for the last five years, it is this amazingly beautiful flower, my lovely morning glory. It blooms every morning and spreads so much cheer. Just looking at her every morning I feel the promise of a beautiful day. She is an absolutely non fussy flower. Just sow the seeds and there she is. What makes her happy is the sun, just that, nothing more. When you look at her you feel there is a light glowing at the end of the funnel. This is Chinki my button rose, been with me for some years now. I got her online from nursery live, she is just pleasure. She is actually my little daughter's pet and just as fussy like her mum, if you don't give her what she wants she just shrivels. My daughter sings to her and I think she likes it 😁😁😁. The monsoons this year were a little severe and I almost gave up on her. But come winter and with some good compost and fresh soil she was as good as new. She loves the sun, more the better.
