Fotokor plate camera advertisement, Soviet Union, early 30s via /r/DesignPorn https://www.reddit.com/r/DesignPorn/comments/fv5drj/fotokor_plate_camera_advertisement_soviet_union/?utm_source=ifttt

Fotokor was the name of folding-bed plate cameras made by the Soviet manufacturer GOMZ, starting in the 1930s. These cameras were imitations of the standard cameras of their type made in Europe, by such makers as Zeiss-Ikon, but they were not equal to their quality. The early Fotokor's came with Compur and Vario shutters and are very rare now. The late Fotokor-1 are fitted with locally made GOMZ shutters and are quite common indeed (except of TEMP shutter, which is very rare to find).
