"Perhaps, In Another Lifetime"

AU in which G1 and G3 are kept to their respective universes, until by pure coincidence the threads of the universes happen to temporarily cross paths.

Jackson meets a version of Frankie that’s distinctly different from the one he knows, yet in some ways still feels the same. Frankie meets a boy who, despite being a stranger, also feels oddly familiar.

Perhaps, in another lifetime, they could have been friends. But as fate should have it, their universes are separate. They pass each other by, touch for just a moment, and then never cross paths again.

((Please note I still ship my Jackson and Frankie, despite them being from separate canons. This was just a fun what-if scenario ^^))

listen !!!!

frankie is walking alone , looking for watzie perhaps , they were playing and watzie stumbled upon the barrier that separates the human world with the monster world . frankie tells watzie to stay away from there but watzie had already made their mind to roam around and look for the stick frankie threw at them earlier . watzie crosses over and reaches the cemetery in human territory and finds the stick , however thats not only what they stumbled upon. frankie rushes for watzie , scared to be seen . frankie knows humans aren’t all bad , but not all humans are so friendly either. the anxiety filled monster walked cautiously yet hastily toward the cemetery , quietly calling for watzie , though clumsily tripping over a grave and detaching an arm. quickly frankie zapped it back , but as they did , they too realised the graveyard wasn’t empty . there sat a dorky looking fellow . no sharp teeth to be seen , a lively looking skin tone , though no fur . a ghost perhaps ? there were no bandages , no snakes , no fire or snow . then again , this is human territory , could this be a human ? they were wearing a pair of glasses and a checkered vest over their yellow bottom up . there were yellow streaks of hair that hid their forehead , but didn’t cover their left brow’s piercing .

“uh… hi,” the human waved awkwardly , they seemed rather startled but not scared . they were scratching watzie’s head causing a few sparks , and somehow that didn’t scare this human away , instead they chuckled a bit and smiled at frankie , “wha-what’s their name?”

that was strange , this human was so … friendly . they smiled at this human , frankie was kind of charmed, so they got closer and slowly sat before them , “this is watzie ,” frankie responded as they too started to play a bit with their beloved assembled critter , “whats your name ?”

the human reached for their glasses to accommodate a slight tilt , their face heated mildly , causing their cheeks to acquire a rosy tint , they met frankie’s gaze and softly spoke , “im um jackson.”

“hi um jackson , im frankie,” they returned as they reached to shake their hand and sparked whilst holding each other momentarily , causing a brief cloud of smoke to surround them before diffusing into the air , frankie grinned and started fidgeting with their earring , “im nonbinary , pronouns they/them .”

jackson stared at their hand , awestruck , then shifted their eyes to behold frankie , smiling , “he/him for me,” he beamed and pointed swiftly at a pin on his vest with the trans flag colours , causing frankie to rejoice and marvel at it .

“woah ! i should definitely make one of those ! thats so cool ,” they cheered , staring shortly as they leaned in , before rocking back as they felt their cheeks burn whilst they sparked .

the silly monster and dorky human chatted for a few more minutes , mostly awkwardly smiling in an adorable endearing gaze whilst playing a little with watzie . it wasn’t long though , before frankie heard draculaura and clawdeen calling for them , and knowing they weren’t supposed to be on the other side of the barrier they anxiously bolted up and paced a little before turning to jackson and announcing they must leave now , however they reached for jackson’s hand , gesturing to stand up and thus get closer . jackson held frankie’s hand and stood in front of them , and as frankie towered him , they smiled and hugged him tightly , happily stating how pleasant they found the encounter and hoping to see him again . jackson startled at first , too held frankie tightly and smiled , assured frankie he will be there next night if they’d like to meet , he’d be there , and frankie happily nodded before picking up watzie and waving as they ran towards monster territory .

“Everyone Loves Frankie”

I guess you could say this is me reconciling Clankie being canon and being a diehard Jackson x Frankie x Holt shipper. XD

I have to admit, I was a little bummed about Clankie at first, since that meant that even if Jackson/Holt return (and let’s be honest, that’s very unlikely) they won’t be Frankie’s boyfriends. But Cleo and Frankie are super cute, and over the past 3-4 episodes the ship really grew on me. I headcanon Frankie as polyamorous. They have a big heart and infinite love to give. So I figured, “why choose when Frankie has 2 hands?” So expect to see content for both ships going forward. :) I’m excited to see where the cartoon takes Cleo and Frankie’s relationship, but I also still ship Jackson x Frankie x Holt just as hard.
