Dearest Gentle Reader,

This author is pleased to present the dashing, young Slytherins as their Bridgerton counterpart should they ever grace the ton with their presence.

Theodore Nott as Anthony Bridgerton

𝄞 Theodore Nott as Anthony Bridgerton would be a walking contradiction, oscillating between his responsibilities as a viscount who had to grow up too soon and a rake who refuses to grow up.

𝄞 While attending school at Oxford, he never had to worry about grades as he’s naturally intelligent and can ace his classes with little effort. He’s also generally interested in learning so he never has to force himself to study.

𝄞 This allows him more time to goof off with his classmates so they would go on countless adventures and get into all sorts of trouble. Nothing that would stick of course, given their high status in society and the privilege that comes with it.

𝄞 Given the early loss of his father, he becomes the viscount at a young age and assumes responsibility for their people and his family. It feeds into his serious and introverted side and he initially has strong opinions on Daphne’s suitors, thinking he knows what’s best for her.

𝄞 When he challenged Simon to duel, part of it would be to defend Daphne’s honor, but another part would be his subconscious tendency towards self-destruction.

𝄞 Secretly, he envies and resents his siblings for not having to bear the responsibilities he had to. Still, he cares for them and always tries his best.

𝄞 He prefers having sex with only one partner, but if he doesn’t have one, he will frequent brothels to get his urges satisfied. He never hesitates to do what he needs to do, both in business and his personal life.

𝄞 When he finally opens himself up to marriage, he initially has a strategic plan, refusing to be swept away by whimsical notions of love. All it ever brought was pain, no thank you.

𝄞 And then he met you. The woman he lost a horse race to, the woman who could best him at pall-mall and is not afraid to get her hands dirty, literally. The woman who could carry herself in a hunt. His match.

𝄞 He rarely fell in love, if at all. But when he fell, he fell utterly and hopelessly in love.

𝄞 In his words, “I have never met anyone like you. It is maddening. How much you consume my very being.” He was never one for moderation.

Mattheo Riddle as Benedict Bridgerton

₊✧ As an aspiring artist, Mattheo Riddle enjoys drawing and often has charcoal or ink stains on his hands, just like Benedict Bridgerton.

₊✧ He likes smoking in general and usually bonds with his sister, Eloise, through their regular smoking sessions on the swing. They confide their dreams and fears with each other.

₊✧ He is closest to Anthony, who often seeks his support as the second son.

₊✧ Once he dives into the art scene away from the prestige of the ton, behind doors closed and with curtains drawn, he is pleasantly surprised to discover the sensual side to these parties.

₊✧ He regularly attends these parties for sketching, booze, and orgies - everything his creative heart could desire.

₊✧ He is genuinely passionate about his art and hopes to get into art school of his own accord.

₊✧ He will not hesitate to turn to substances when he needs to relax, even if it means over consuming Colin’s calming tea to soothe his anxiety of getting into art school.

₊✧ He got so wasted that he found himself screaming in exultation from the windows of their quiet countryside home when he was accepted into art school.

Lorenzo Berkshire as Colin Bridgerton

❥ Much like Colin Bridgerton, Lorenzo Berkshire is also a free spirit who enjoys traveling and sharing stories of his adventures.

❥ Life of the party, he loves joking around with others.

❥ He is loyal to and protective of his family, always ready to support his siblings, especially his older brothers when needed.

❥ However, when he sets his sights on a goal, he is headstrong and not afraid to pursue things on his own. Whether it’s courting Marina or making investments in an attempt to find his purpose.

❥ Given his penchant to see the good in others, he can sometimes come off as naive but is open to learning from his failures.

❥ He remains a romantic idealist, but often has his head in the clouds that he overlooks your affections and only sees you as a loyal friend.

❥ Everything changes when he gets closer with you and your confidence grows the more autonomy you have with choosing your own gowns, for example. He starts to consider you less like a friend and more romantically.

❥ He better get his hands and knees ready for all the groveling he will go through to win your affections after he denied and rejected you for so long.

to the anon who asked which were my favorites, for the 2022 aus, its really hard to pick, I absolutely adored writing my Twisted Fairytales Bridgerton au and one of these days a will totally write a full fic about it, but also the Star Wars au and the Mafia au were so much fun!! I loved writing those. The reincarnation verse was also so good, and arghh I should have expanded on the Criminal minds au.

Long Story short, it's really hard to pick which was my favorite au to write in 2022, but the ones I listed above always make me grin like a maniac, even when I'm busy and sleep deprived.

Curtain Story: The super serious, dark, dramatic and heroic rivalry of Miles Bridgerton and Charles Bridgerton

At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton rules the world. Everybody will always give him anything he wants.

Until he comes face to face with his new cousin, Charles 'Seong-Ho' Bridgerton.

Miles is perfectly fine with being the baby of the family and the centre of the universe then Charlie comes swinging in like a rocket and ruins all of that by being younger than him.

At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton rules the world.

Well, Miles rules at least one world. From Kent to London, from Mumbai to Chennai, everybody loves him. His grandmothers. All of his aunts and uncles. His Amma and Dad most of all. The adults always swoon and gush over how cute he is when Miles looks up at them from under his soft curls and his long eyelashes, as he flashes them a view of the dimples on his round cheeks. Everybody will always give Miles anything he wants.

Miles isn’t worried about his brother, Edmund, or his cousins, Auggie, Belinda and Caroline. He is the youngest of the bunch, so they have to share their toys with him. Miles will tell if they don’t. Plus, Edmund never lets anybody bully him. Secretly, Miles thinks of his brother as his sidekick. The fact that he will soon gain a younger sibling, as his Amma is currently pregnant, is still too abstract of a concept for the boy to comprehend. As far as he is concerned, this is Miles’s world forever.

Miles has yet to have any reason to think otherwise on a day such as today. Turns out his Dad has another brother, Uncle Benedict, not just Uncle Colin and Uncle Gregory. He is returning home with his wife, Auntie Sophie, from their long business trip in Europe. Amma is taking him and Edmund out to meet them for lunch, along with Auntie Daphne, her kids, and Auntie Eloise.

Before they depart for the restaurant, Miles conducts his investigation.

“What does Uncle Benedict do?” Dad says one can judge a character by what they do for a living, and Grandma Violet says it is very rude to directly ask that kind of question. So Miles snuggles against Amma and whispers the question in her ear. She giggles as his breath tickles her.

Also, Miles just wants to be close to Amma and smell her. His aunts and Grandmas smell nice too, but his Amma has the best smell.

“He is an artist, angel.” She answers. “He paints things. He takes photographs of them too.”

He considers her answer thoughtfully.

“He paints things? Like trees? Like animals? Like horses? What about kittens? What about our dog Newton? And houses?” To each “Yes” from his Amma regarding his inquiries, he is more sure of his resolve. This is good information. Uncle Benedict can stay. It can be useful for Miles and Edmund, having an uncle that powerful.

The fact that Benedict is also his cousins’ uncle, Miles does not agree with.

“What does Auntie Sophie do?” He whispers into Amma’s ear again.

“Auntie Sophie is an astronomer.” says Amma.

“What is astromomomer?” He asks.

She smiles, repeating the words more slowly. “An as-tro-no-mer, darling. She studies astronomy. The sun, the stars, the moon, space. Everything outside of Earth.”

Miles’s eyes brighten at this explanation. He recognizes the term now.

“Space? So she is astronaut? Like spaceship?”

“No, she is an astronomer, dear. Not an astronaut. They work together.” Kate’s attempt to clarify the distinction unfortunately goes completely over Miles’s head. Now, the boy can only think of which possible ways he can charm this Auntie Sophie, so she loves him enough to give him a seat on her spaceship.

His plan starts with this lunch. As Edmund leaves the table to play with Auggie, Belinda and Caroline, Miles stays behind. Like a smart boy that he is, Miles decides that his chance of getting on a spaceship will be higher if he helps his Amma and aunts chat up this pretty, fairy-like lady who they say is Auntie Sophie. It is his world after all, he should be responsible for it. So he stays in his chair, little feet dangling off the ground, busying himself with his snacks. Occasionally, when he feels generous, he turns to his Amma and pushes a piece of tart against her mouth until she eats it. It is very wise of him, indeed, that he remembers that Amma needs to feed the baby as well.

His plan is working perfectly. His Amma is doing her part, talking about how excited he is to meet a real-life astronomer, while Miles flutters his lashes and grins at Sophie with both of his dimples. Both of them! This is a huge, never-before-seen concession on Miles’s part. Normally he will never be this friendly to strangers. But he really wants that spaceship.

Auntie Sophie is moved, he can tell. She looks at him like every woman in his life looks at him, full of melting love and adoration. She coos and nudges his cheeks. She helps dab napkin at the spot when Miles has jam on his chin. He allows and accepts the gesture with sovereign regality, preening under all the attention of the women at the table.

As Miles is just about to gather enough courage and ask Auntie Sophie about her spaceship, someone else arrives.

“I hope we are not too late. Somebody found a flower shop.” Miles hears an adult male say.

Everyone’s attention turns toward the voice. Coming into view is a man who looks like his Dad but not really. All of his aunts cry out “Benedict!” as he approaches them. Amma leans over him, introducing helpfully and encouragingly.

“Look, honey. It’s your Uncle Benedict.”

Uncle Benedict is carrying two things in his arms. One of them is a giant bouquet, with so many flowers Miles cannot count all of them. The other is a child. A boy.

Uncle Benedict introduces him.

“This is Charlie. Say hello, Charlie!” The kid is smaller than Miles. Rounder than Miles. Pinker than Miles. He gives them an excited wave and a grin so wide, his eyes close up. Then he makes a gesture of blowing everyone at the table a kiss, and Miles hears his Amma, his old Aunties and his new Auntie collectively sigh.

“Eomma!” Charlie calls out, flailing his arms as if he wants to fly away from his Dad’s embrace to his mother. When he smiles, one corner of his mouth is higher than the other, just like his Dad. Benedict releases him on the ground so he can walk to her by himself.

Halfway through, Charlie turns around, suddenly realises he has forgotten something. Benedict grins and gives him the flowers.

The boy begins his journey anew. The bouquet is so big and heavy, he cannot hold them up in his hands. Instead, he has to drag them on the ground behind him, and he does this with great determination, shaking away every offer of assistance from his dad, only accepting it when Benedict helps him bring the flowers up to Sophie’s face as they finally reach her.

“Eomma.” Charlie says in a melodic, innocent voice. “Eommeoni. Je t'apporte des fleurs !"

Miles hears a gasp from somebody.

“My goodness!” says Auntie Daphne. “He speaks French?”

“And Korean.” Auntie Sophie shyly reminds everyone, as if that fact is important to her. “But yes,” she confirms, holding both the flowers and her son on her lap. Pride fills her eyes. “He watched a lot of French programs when we were at the CNES.”

“Hey, I helped too.” Uncle Benedict chimes in. “Someone cannot fall asleep without his P’tit Loup.”

“P’tit Loup!” Charlie exclaims happily.

“Thank you for the flowers, baby.” Sophie kisses Charlie’s head. “They are lovely.”

“He picked them out himself. I helped.” Benedict says, as his head nuzzles against Sophie, signifying that he himself wants a kiss too. She rolls her eyes, but gives it to him.

“Baby. Seong-Ho-ah,” she tells Charlie. “These are your Aunties. Kate, Daphne, Eloise. This is your cousin Miles. Would you say hello?”

“‘Allo!” Charlie says, before blushing so furiously he has to dive his face back into his Mum’s chest. Someone, perhaps Auntie Daphne, maybe Miles’s Amma (His Amma!) giggles.

“Honey, look at me.” Sophie tries to maintain eye-contact with Charlie. “These flowers are very beautiful, but you only gave them to me. Can you see that your Aunts and your cousin don’t have any flowers?” Charlie takes a look around, then nods. His head is so big, it is like he nods with his entire body. Sophie continues. “I want to share these flowers with them. Would you agree?” Charlie thinks, then nods again. Sophie’s smile widens. “Would you help me do it?” Another nod starts off hesitantly, then turns excited.

Charlie slips off of Auntie Sophie’s lap, his parents help him pull the blooms he wants out of the big bouquet. Only two or three stems are much easier for the child to handle, and he toddles on his chubby legs over to Auntie Daphne and Auntie Eloise to give them their gift. He also says something to them that makes them blush. Even Auntie Eloise looks impressed, and she is never impressed with anything.

What is so special about him? He can barely walk. Miles thinks, scoffing petulantly.

At last, Charlie approaches Kate, raising to her, with both arms, two pink tulips. One of the stems bends a little under his clumsy grip.

“Tata! Tu es manifique!”

Kate sniffles, her hands tremble as she receives the flowers and Miles is aghast, aghast , at her betrayal. How can his Amma do this to him? It is not like she has never received flowers before. Dad gives her flowers everyday . And those tulips are not even nice. They’re all mushy.

Then Amma does something worse.

Leaning down to Charlie, she asks him.

“May I hold you, baby?”

Miles is, quite justly so he thinks, shocked to his core at this blatant insult.

Charlie considers the question. He looks to his Mum, his Dad, and back up at Miles’s Amma. Then he reaches his arms out for her, granting permission. But that is not before he gives Miles a smile, the likes of which Miles can only describe as pure evil. The older boy narrows his eyes at that.

Kate picks Charlie up into her arms.

At four years and two months old, Miles Sharma-Bridgerton comes face to face with his cousin, Charles Seong-Ho Bridgerton. His nemesis.

Miles gets off his chair at the utter indignity of the scene. Overwrought with emotions, he throws himself on the ground and wails.

Polin Drabble: Xanthic

Xanthic aka The one inspired by FRIENDS

Oh what was she thinking.

Penelope felt nauseous and her head was pounding to what seems like the rhythm of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.

She was trying to remember the bits and snippets of last nights date. The one that was suppose to take her mind off of the fact that her unrequited love/forever crush Colin Bridgerton had just asked her cousin out on a date himself.

Fife seemed nice enough until last night. Narcisstic douche canoe kept talking about himself and his many “wonderful qualities” as well as giving her back handed compliments. She had to drink to just make it through the night.

Then not only did he try to make her pay for their entire meal - he expected her to go home with him.

Thank god for Eloise. Her friend had enough of the play by play of her night via text and came and took her home after a quick escape.

Gods what was in that xanthic colored cocktail?

She made her way to the kitchen for some water and found that Eloise had left her a bottle of water, a Tylenol pill bottle, and a sandwich on their kitchen counter.

It was then she heard the awful sound of a hammer pounding on her front door.

Motherfu—

She blearily opened the door and saw the last person she wanted to see.

Green-eyed, 6 ft tall, mega-watt mischievous smile, and constant star of her late night fantasies - Colin Bridgerton.

“Oh Pen you don’t look so good,” He walked passed Penelope as she made room for him to enter the apartment she shared with Eloise.

“Shhh shhh shhh,” She put a finger on her lips - she loved the man but he was way too loud at —11 am in the morning,”Colin. Too loud.”

He nodded and smirked at her then whispered,” Just came by to grab my leather jacket that I left behind last week. I was thinking of wearing it tonight.”

She closed her eyes and hoped he didn’t notice her cringing at the thought of his date tonight with Marina. She pointed towards the couch where Eloise had already laid the jacket neatly on the armrest.

Taking the pills and swallowing them along with a big gulp of water, Penelope barely made out what Colin was saying.

“Oh yeah, I forgot that you called me last night. I’m sorry I didn’t pick up. It was pretty late. Oh hey, you left me a voicemail.” His voice was coming closer.

I called him?

Last night?

NooooOOoooo

No?

“Pen you are so wasted,” He walked up and laughed softly as he held the phone between his cheek and his shoulder - making a point to eat half of the sandwich that Eloise had left behind.

She saw his smile drop slowly and he looked at her inquisitively.

“ -ave been in love with you…”

GOD!!!!!!

“Colin give me the phone!”She desperately tried to grab the phone from his precarious hold only for him to DROP the fucking sandwich on the ground and turn his back to her and continued to listen to her late night confession.

“-how you make me laugh and you have such a way with words! I wish I could just -“

“Colin!”

He started to walk away from her, still listening to the voicemail.

Penelope tossed whatever dignity and self respect she had left and used the dining room chair to launch herself on his back - trying to get that damn phone away.

“But I’m over you! I am sooooo over you. I refuse to -“

“Over me? When were you …under me?” At this point he was hunched over and was carrying her on his back.

Penelope let out a squeak as she hopped off his back and watched horrified as he turned around and gave her a searching look.

“Pen..you…you…you love me?”

Penelope felt her eyes start to well up with tears. She never meant for him to find out.

She turned away and covered her face in absolute mortification.

“Hey hey, no stop,” Colin pulled her shoulder to turn her back towards him, pocketing his phone, and then wrapp his arms around her. With her face now buried on his chest, she felt him rub her back and say soothing words on top her head,” No tears Pen. It’s ok. Don’t cry, you know I can’t handle it when you cry.”

He pulled back to wipe her tears that were now falling on her cheeks. His hands on her jaw, his thumbs on her cheekbones,” Give me a moment yeah?”

She saw him grab his phone and smile at her before dialing a number. He kept eye contact during the entire conversation.

“Hey Marina. I’m sorry I can’t go on that date with you tonight. No I’m really sorry I can’t go out with you on any other night. That person that I really liked? His voice at dropped to a whisper and he leaned toward her lips and looked at eyes for permission.

It was her deepest regret to put her hand between their lips and shake her head. His eyes widened in panic and in pain at her rejection.

“I’m hungover and my mouth still tastes like I ate one of Hyacinth cookies.”

“Tomorrow?” Colin tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear as he nodded in understanding.

She nodded back,”I need to brush my teeth and take a shower.”

“Ok, I’ll be back. I’ll grab us some breakfast, something light for you,” He then kissed her forehead and gave a wink before walking towards the entrance of the apartment,“ Oh, hey Pen, just to let you know - you’ve been standing here with the top two buttons of your pajamas unbuttoned and you’ve been giving me an even better view than usual!”

She looked down to see her boobs about to spill out of her top,” Oh my god! Colin!”

“Ohhh didn’t expect to hear THAT so soon!” Colin laughed and left.

Trying to hide a smile despite being alone, Penelope couldn’t believe what just happened. She walked gingerly towards the bathroom, her thoughts filled with Colin Bridgerton.

The Modern Bridgertons in New York Gossip Girl-esque AU That Will Never Be Pt. 3

“Eloise honey, have you thought about how you’ll be spending the next year?” Violet begins delicately, halfway through dinner. Violet approaches all of life’s toughest problems delicately- delicately, but with the precision of a freshly-sharpened blade.

That’s probably why she only brings up the subject exactly in the middle of dinner, when Eloise is already too invested in her meal to walk out, but nowhere near finishing it.

“Mom-” Eloise begins, but Violet cuts her off.

“-Because I ran into Phillip Crane the other day-”

“-Wait, hot- I mean, Marina’s Phillip?” Eloise questions, flushing slightly at almost calling her ‘Hot Marina’. Marina Thompson was Pen’s older cousin who had been the subject of Eloise’s teenage infatuation for more years than she’d care to admit.

Violet purses her lips slightly at being interrupted. “He’s not exactly her Phillip anymore- they’re separated now, remember?” Violet doesn’t pause this time and plows on. “Anyway, I ran into him in the Met and he was there with the kids- you remember, Oliver and Amanda- and they were being such handfuls- reminds me of when you all were younger…” she trails off with a nostalgic sigh.

“Mom,” Eloise says, annoyed. “Were you trying to make a point here?”

“Of course I was. As I was saying,” Violet tosses Eloise a pointed look, “the children were running around and the poor man looked so completely exhausted and mentioned needing another babysitter since the last three had quit, and I said ‘why, Eloise is completely free all summer, and she’s great with children!’-”

“-Mom,” Eloise groans, “you did not-”

“And he asked for your contact information and he’ll be calling you shortly for an interview!” Violet finishes triumphantly.

“Why,” Eloise grits out, “would you think this is a good idea?”

Violet feigns innocence. “You are good with kids, sweetie. Aunt Gee told me all the time how great you were with her children when you were in California.”

“They’re my cousins, Mom. It's different!"

“Eloise.” This time, Violet’s tone is far more serious. “You don’t have any jobs or internships lined up, and as far as I am concerned, you can earn some money while helping out a family friend instead of sitting around all summer.”

Eloise attempts to reply, but finds that there are no words coming out. Instead, she feels a familiar prickling in her eyes and hard lump in her throat as she tries hard to contain the feeling of mind-numbing paralysis that usually occurs when she thinks about her complete and utter lack of future plans.

“Sweetie,” Violet adds gently, “you don’t have to have all the answers just yet, but in the meanwhile, I think it will be good for you to get out and do some work, alright?”

Eloise blinks away the latent tears and clears her throat aggressively. “Yeah,” she rasps out. “I can do that.”
