31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 13
My pick for today was the horror comedy Gatlopp
I rated this 7/10! Very fun, funny movie. Good premise, but I almost wish it had been a liiiiiittle bit longer. I looooove Emmy Raver-Lampman, and she was great in this movie, like she usually is! I definitely recommend this for a watch. Sorry this review is short, I’m suuuuper tired and about to go to bed lol.

Movie Review: Breaking up is hard to do...in the middle of a "Bar Fight!"
Movie Review: Breaking up is hard to do…in the middle of a “Bar Fight!”
“Bar Fight!” is an 84 minute long break-up “Who gets custody of ‘our‘ regular bar?” comedy that hits the wall at about the 30 minute mark.
Writer-director Jim Mahoney did the offbeat friends playing-a-game comedy “Gatlopp,” sort of “Jumanji” for grownups. That was more original and funnier, with more going for it than this one.
Take away that “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Rachel Bloom, who…

GROUND: A group of old friends reunite for a nostalgic evening of fun and games after a decade apart. After too many, they decide to play a drinking game, but it’s quickly revealed that this game has supernatural stakes.
EXAM: I was sold Glove from the plot summary. A supernatural version of Jumanji seems so obvious it’s surprising he wasn’t done to death. Then there’s the very Danny Elfman title…
