absolutely adore your site, howd you make that creature follow around the cursor on the landing page like that?

it's a sprite sheet i made in blender and animated using javascript. i have a page full of the kinds of those kinds of sprites here

The code: The page loads in an element for each layer of the sprite, and are given an index number. A list of locations, 1 for each element, is created. Every frame, the list gets a new location put on the top of the list based on where the mouse cursor is, and the last location in the list gets removed. Each element's location is updated to the corresponding location by its index in the list.

The effect is that the top layer (the "front" of the sprite) gets updated first, and it's old location gets passed down to the next layer every frame. Every sprite layer is following the top layer. You can see the individual layers and the illusion breaks if it moves too fast.
