Discovering Eight's companion influence was pitifully low with Lana in a tragic vetmode led to the realization that he's a sore loser; if his battle synergy with someone is poor and affects his performance, he'll suddenly follow that person around doggedly every moment of the hour until they bond with him--or improve their fighting abilities. (Though his idea of "bonding" looks more like him staring at said target doing their daily routine intensely until they ask what he wants, wherein he'll just ask if they need help with anything and go back to quietly trailing after them. Some of the more knowledgeable companions note that he seems to be... rather stubborn about this perhaps because he wants to do all he can to win, but having to rely on others is a sore spot for him).

Anyways. Not that he's upset that he got shredded by a Horizon Knight and he and Lana were tripping over each other in combat. He's really not.

Sharing this because I think it could be of interest to Locked Tomb fans, or anyone who wants a death/revival plot for their modern AU fic. In spite of the 'True Detective' framing, it's a pretty good overview of cases of medical resuscitation after extreme cold.

I've been trying to replicate knit baby overalls, but the baby is growing faster than the project. I'm not happy with the way it's looking after the latest fit. So, this one will be for the bin, I'm afraid.

I genuinely Cannot get into the holiday spirit this month : / I have two nominally fun events lined up this week but am dreading them despite continually reminding myself that community is a blessing and I could stand to be more grateful to have such social abundance. Unfortunately my brain currently has more in common with a jello salad than a functioning organ. So.
