This isn't right. This is FAR from right. He rubbed his eyes as he glanced at a much too familiar back sitting by the campfire, which had led him through the forest thuse far, away from his last trial he barely made it out of.

David was idly watching the fire in front of him as he sat in contemplation. He was doing this a lot more as of late.. His thoughts were groggy and slow recently, but they ran on regardless. The fog was really sapping him of energy and he was painfully aware of it's affect on him.

He didn't initially respond to the sounds of feet behind him, assuming it could have been Prince or one of the other survivors he'd gotten to know a bit.. Every bit of him froze at the sound of a voice that was incredibly familiar. His heart picked up pace and he was too scared to turn around, thinking it was some sort of trick.

He was tense when he finally released the breath he'd been holding and turned to look at the man approaching him. His mouth went dry at the sight of.. Tristan? Or was it... He looked like him- but not exact to his memory of him.. There were clear similarities.. But he didn't look the way he knew or recognized him before he was taken. So it must not be *his* Tristan.

Right?

The idea of ANY 'version' of Tristan being here made him feel a deep ache in his chest. He never would have wanted the other man to be in this Hell too.

The only words that he could utter were, "Fuck."

bridget works at a family diner in potterfield called “the jackknife” and the logo is a boy in hawaiian print swim trunks doing a jackknife dive. it’s named after the diner owner’s son and their little mascot is jack’s old jack in the box, which is a little bit creepy but mostly cute in a lobotomized kind of way. it’s not the only nor is it the best diner in potterfield, so most patrons of the diner are potterfield locals or elementary school children. every day bridget gets fooled into forgetting that new salembury is haunted until she gets home and the gnomes have burrowed up her flower beds again and then she forgets again the next day like sisyphus dropping the boulder every time.
