The lack of compassion for both Laura and Olivia in their own home was just fucking heartbreaking. They literally called a meeting asking for Olivia to understand their issues with the mourning that’s going on in the Baker home after Billy died and how they need to be accommodating to them and their issues. In a home that don’t belong to them. They feel Laura missing her husband and she wanting company, in a time of need is just not gonna fly. Laura not wanting to be alone right now, which they all understand but for some reason just don’t care. While Laura is the kind of person who would never let anyone be alone, she’s always bringing everybody into her home when they are going through something but the second the tables are turned, that’s what she’s met with. My brain can’t even comprehend how anyone could be that fucking heartless to someones situation as a person but especially after everything they’ve done for you specifically. To have the people she’s been so accommodating to be that UNSYMPATHIC to her when she needs them is heartbreaking. Olivia and Laura are the ones that have to be accommodating in their own home. While they mourn. They had to be accommodating to the same fucking people they have extended their own kindness too. It don’t reverse and they get back the kindness they give back, it’s a one way street clearly. They are in pain and dealing with a loss and they have to give more. Like they are two people who give so much that people feel ENTITLED to their kindness and generosity like it’s their fucking right.

Olivia doesn’t have friends, she has fucking parasites.

Men are a fucking plague everywhere. Yesterday right in front of my hotel some guy touched my arm, I fucking hate being touched let alone by stranger men, and I didn't understand what he was saying because it was in Dutch but I understood enough to know it was harassment. Anyway some women passed by, I told the guy I wasn't interested and one of the woman said something and he left me alone.

And now, I'm sitting on a beach chilling and some guy comes out of nowhere. Unfortunately this one talked English and kept talking to me even though I clearly said I did not want to talk and in the end I was the one who had to leave and making sure he does not follow me.

yesterday I went to a little meeting at my local queer community center and I was admiring their bookshelves and mentioned that I work at the public library and someone said "well I bet they don't have any [LGBTQ+ books] at our library" and I was like um. yes we do. we have tons of them. half of our employees are queer leftists so they said "oh well I bet they don't in [nearby rural county]" and I was like uh once again yes they absolutely do. gay people live and work there as well

so here's a quick reminder that if you don't think your local library has enough queer centered materials you should actually check before assuming, and if you're not satisfied with their collection you should submit a request for more such books. I don't know what the political landscape of libraries looks like outside the us rn, but within the us no matter where you are, I promise you there are employees at your library fighting for inclusion and intellectual freedom and they can't win without vocal public support
