As soon as I heard Kratos saying he knew how to play the lyre, I immediately thought he’d play with Calliope, so this came into being. It’s probably one of the reasons he won’t play anymore.
Honestly, I’m just obsessed with creating art of Kratos with Calliope, before his deal with Ares. In the GoW games before the Norse saga, he showed his absolute love for his daughter. Making a flute for her, kissing her as she was sleeping (even though it was an illusion), giving up Elysium just so she could still live on. Like, I can’t stop obsessing over the love he has for her. It’s taking over my life. 😅
Side note: I took artistic liberty with Calliope and Lysandra’s looks, just cause I wanted to.
thinking about greek saga kratos again. thinking about the (canon) fact that he knows how to play the lyre but won’t. thinking that maybe he really enjoys music but couldn’t pursue it because of his spartan duties. thinking about calliope and her flute that kratos carved for her, and how in greek mythology calliope is the muse of music. thinking a lot.
I'm back from my hiatus and I missed madoka a whole lot so I thought of drawing her! Here we can see Madoka in two different outfits, showing her versatility and style!
Also, check out this post by @ube-halaya-chan!!! ITS AMAZING YES?
Edit: I've JUST NOW realized that I've drawn the whole ass illustration on 16:9 and I have a 16:10 screen resolution so it looked squashed???????? and NOW IT LOOKS BETTER NO WONDER EVERY SCREENCAP I MADE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS A GODAMMED MINION
Comparison gif below keep reading just so you know
Do u think Kratos was sad when atreus started doing things (like climbing and getting up on tall ledges) by himself....
i don't think he would admit it outwardly but i think he would hesitate for a moment if Atreus was suddenly climbing up ahead of him instead of clambering onto his back.
Atreus would ask if he's coming, and Kratos would grumble, or not even say anything at all and follow. But suddenly climbing doesn't feel right. He feels too light, and it's all so strange. He doesn't have the words for it - can't bring himself to accept the persistent feeling of melancholy as they make it attop the ledge they were scaling.
"Did you see me? I climb pretty fast huh!"
Atreus is celebrating, proud of himself, he doesn't need to rely on his father anymore.
He doesn't need to rely on his father anymore.
Kratos can only bring himself to nod at his boy, he hopes he hasn't given away his internal turmoil.
He knows there will be many more times like this to come. He knows one day, Atreus won't need his help at all. Will he be ready?
