*
“Popsicle,” Natsu sighed. “What the hell are you doin’ back here?” He held his door in one hand as he stared at a recently familiar face.
“What, a guy can’t stop by and visit his best friend?” Gray nervously chuckled.
Happy and Natsu weren’t buying it, exchanging suspicious looks as Gray impatiently stood at the door frame.
“Best friend?” Natsu rose an eyebrow.
“And for the 4th day in a row?” Happy jabbed, hovering beside Natsu’s head
“Would ya’ just let me in?” Gray spat out, clearly looking jittery.
“Fine.” Natsu groaned, stepping aside so Gray could step in.
“But we’re gonna’ start charging rent!” Happy exclaimed.
“Whatever, I don’t care, just as long as I can hang out here for a little while.” Gray hustled in, plopping himself onto Natsu’s worn down couch.
“Ok, you can stay here on one condition, tell me what it is you’re freaking out about. And gimme’ the real reason you’ve been comin’ here.” Natsu folded his arms.
“Aye!” Happy mimicked Natsu, crossing his little paws.
Gray let out a groan, bowing his head between his legs before whipping his head back up. “It’s Juvia, ok!?”
“Juvia?” Happy asked.
“But, you haven’t tried avoiding her in forever. You guys have been all buddy-buddy lately.” Natsu was trying to piece this all together in his head.
Gray blushed, averting his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, I guess you could say that.”
“So what’s the deal?” Natsu was doing his best to get straight to the point, as nuance was not his strong suit.
“W-well... we... kind of... sort of...” Gray scratched at the back of his head, searching for the gall to say it. “We got drunk the other night at the guild, and then I went to walk her home since she was pretty wasted, and...one thing lead to another and... we almost kissed.”
Natsu was as confused as ever. “So?”
“So?!”
“Well, don’t ya’ like her?”
“W-well-!” Gray stammered, and gave out a defeated sigh, bowing his head again. “Yeah.” He mumbled to the point that Natsu or Happy could barely hear him.
“So then why don’t you wanna’ smooch her?” Happy was almost as dense as Natsu.
“Gah! You guys don’t get it!” Gray sprung up. “Forget it. I’m gonna’ find a new hiding spot. Preferably, one that asks less questions.”
Just as Gray made his way to Natsu’s front door, there was a sudden knock. Gray froze in his tracks as a chill went up his spine. He had a knack for this sort of thing, knowing when Juvia’s around, and that chill only ever meant one thing.
“Shit.”
Gray needed an escape route, but his head wasn’t on straight. He frantically scoured the little house, looking from wall to wall, but there was only one door, and Gray was just feet away from it.
“Natsu, whatever you do, don’t-“
“Be there in a sec’!” Natsu shouted at the door.
“You idiot!” Gray whisper yelled.
Natsu opened the door to none other than Juvia. She was known for her expressive nature. The look on her face could tell you anything you want to know, without her having to say a word.
“Hi, Natsu-san.” Juvia said both frantically and nervously. “Juvia was just wondering if Gray-sama was here.” She held her hands together promptly, hoping that he would be there.
“Actually Gray-“ Natsu was cut off at the sound of shattering glass. He instinctively spun around to a disastrous scene, displaying a broken window, shards of glass everywhere, and no Gray to be found. “Just left.” Natsu finished the thought differently than he originally intended.
Juvia heard the shattering too, and she had her answer. Her Gray-dar never failed her. Using her Gray-dar she quickly scurried to the back of the house, crossing her fingers that Gray hadn’t gotten away yet. The first thing she heard was a hiss of pain, and as she turned the corner, there sat her Gray in the ground, holding his bloody knee.
“Son of a bitch!” Gray yelled in pain, applying more pressure to his cut knee. Sure, he was used to getting beaten to a pulp in a fight, but he wasn’t exactly expecting a busted up knee right about now.
“Gray-sama!” Juvia’s eyes widened at the blood, and she hurried to his side.
Gray finally realized her presence. He stopped writhing in pain for a moment, and tried to appear as casual as usual. “Oh...” He forced a laugh. “Hey Juvia. what are you doin’ here?”
“Juvia should be asking you the same thing.” She knelt by Gray’s side. “But first, let Juvia help.”
“I’m fine.”
“Let Juvia see it, Gray-sama.”
He sighed, giving in and releasing his hold. Juvia quickly took her hands and placed them on Gray’s knee. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and suddenly her hands became water, but it wasn’t normal water. It was soothing, and it was making the stinging in Gray’s knee go away.
“Juvia has been working on some healing techniques. It’s nothing like Wendy, but I can heal some minor, surface-level things.” She explained, using her water hands to massage the area.
“Now that Juvia has finally caught you, why have you been avoiding me?” She finally looked at Gray who blushed at the sudden eye contact.
“I haven’t.” Gray tried to sound as natural as possible.
All Juvia had to do was give him a look that practically screamed “oh, please.” before he cracked. “Ok, fine. I’ve been avoiding you.”
“Juvia knows!” She exclaimed.
“I just don’t want things to be awkward between us!” He explained.
“But you don’t think avoiding me for days would make it awkward?” Juvia finally finished his knee and reverted her hands back to normal.
Gray groaned. “You’re right.” He ran his hand through his hair, trying to hide his face.
“Is this about... the other night?” Juvia finally asked.
“Do ya’ really have to even ask?” Gray avoided eye contact.
“But Juvia thought the night went well! I had a lot of fun!”
“So did I! Until...” He cut himself off.
“Until we almost kissed?” Juvia finished it for him.
“Yeah.”
“I see.” Juvia paused. “Are Juvia’s lips chapped?”
“Huh?” He finally peaked up at her.
“Or did Juvia have something in her teeth maybe?” She was going into panic mode.
“No that’s not-“
Juvia cut him off with as gasp, and her hands slapped against her mouth. “Or does Juvia’s breath stink?! Is that it?!”
“Would you knock it off!” Gray finally stopped her. “It doesn’t have to do with any of that stuff.
“Oh.” Juvia sunk. “So Gray-sama just does not want to kiss Juvia then.”
“No!” He instantly cut off that thought, even though he was embarrassed by how eager he sounded. “Not that either.” He grumbled.
“Then..?”
“We were drunk. Yes, we were having fun and all, but, I dunno’.” Gray grumbled, looking for the right words. “We haven’t had our first kiss yet. So when we do, I want it to be... kinda’... special. I guess. In a way.” Gray finished with some filler words to try and take the heat away from his face, but it was no use.
“S-s-special?! Gray-sama wants our kiss to be special?!” Juvia lit up, almost freezing in time waiting for someone to pinch her, because she figured this had to be a dream. However, she still was a bit lost, so she put a pause on her momentary fantasy. “Wait, so then why have you been avoiding me?”
“Because I didn’t know how to tell you all that. I was trying to buy some time until I could figure out what to say.” Gray released a deep exhale. “But I guess I’ve said it all now.”
“You sure have.” Juvia said giddily right before she launched herself at Gray, tightly clutching Gray’s shoulders in her arms as her cheek was pressed up firmly against his.
“Gah!” Gray shouted in surprise, trying to keep his balance as Juvia leeched onto him. They were still sitting, but she almost knocked him flat on his back.
“But you know what, Gray-sama?” Juvia broke her clutch, making sure she was looking right at Gray.
“What?” He looked down at her curiously.
“Juvia thinks every moment with Gray-sama is special. So to Juvia, any time is perfect for a first kiss.” She smiled so sweetly is made Gray’s heart just about burst.
“Yeah?” Gray felt the corner of his mouth tug up.
“Yep.” She nodded in assurance.
“If you say so.”
And without a second thought, Gray closed the gap between them, planting a sweet and soft kiss on Juvia’s lips. As they parted, they leaned in and pressed their foreheads against each other, both wearing matching grins.
“That looked pretty special from in here!” Happy interjected from inside the house, followed by Natsu’s laughter.
Gray and Juvia jumped, startled by the sudden noise. “Happy, shut it!” Gray turned his head, looking through what used to be a window, and seeing Natsu and Happy standing in their living room.
“Maybe we wouldn’t be able to hear you two slobbering on each other if there was a window here!” Natsu yelled, referring to the gaping hole in the middle of his wall.
“We were not slobbering, you moron!” Gray blushed furiously, finally standing up and facing Natsu.
“That’s what it looked like to me!” Natsu teased back, wearing a devious smile.
“Aye!” Happy seconded.
“Mind your business, flame-for-brains!”
“Next time you need to hide out for a week, you ain’t comin’ here!” Natsu shouted.
“Fine by me.” Gray scoffed.
He then looked back at Juvia as she appeared a little on edge, wondering if she was going to have to break up a fight between Gray and Natsu.
He grinned once again, at the girl he couldn’t wait to spend more special time with, making more memories, and growing even closer
He reached for Juvia’s hand and squeezed it. “I was gettin’ tired of running away anyway.”

chapter 14 preview
A little snippet of TRW Chapter 14! ;) Just a draft it needs refining!
They had chattered idly about missions on the request board and Gray could feel Juvia pining to ask him on one of them as she fiddled with the hem of her dress, her long lashes dipped, he hadn’t noticed how close their faces were to eachother as the cool air became thicker, his fingers lightly brushed against hers, a blush framed her cheeks the same colour as the roses, Gray had felt his heart beat so fast he was sure that it was going to fly off with him, just as he leaned in.................
stay tuned!

gruvia drabble:
author's note: bruh see how the STUPIDEST shit inspires me. i havent written anything to completion in MONTHS and i see one stupid panel of gray blushing saying to juvia "dont hang on me in public" and here my clown ass is. 6 words did this to me. enjoy. merry fuckin christmas.
*
"Gray-sama! Welcome home!" Juvia swooned, flinging herself onto a shirtless Gray.
Being this was the first Gray was seeing of Juvia since returning from his mission, he was startled, but not surprised.
"Don't hang on me in public!" He bursted with an undeniable blush on his face.
Juvia hummed and looked up, still grappling Gray, not phased by his response. "Juvia just missed you so much, darling!" She giggled and snuggled back into his chest.
Gray's cheeks burned brighter as he still couldn't decide what to do with his arms, or the rest of his body for that matter. His eyes wandered, and he saw a handful of people staring at them as Juvia made a scene. He noticed Cana and Mira chuckling to themselves, and couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Facing emotions altogether was tricky for him, and PDA was a whole other beast that he most certainly did not want to confront. Still flustered, he finally placed his hands on her shoulders and pried her off of him.
"Ok, ok, I get it!" He exclaimed, looking down into Juvia's big puppy-dog eyes. "Jeez, could you let me breathe?" He huffed.
"Juvia can't help it!" She was still practically squealing. "Juvia was so worried and had no idea when you'd be coming back!"
Gray let out a snort under his breath as his lip curled up. "You worry about me over the dumbest stuff." He put his hands in his pockets.
"It's not dumb!" Juvia clenched both fists, holding them in front of her, presenting her insistence to Gray. "You could've gotten hurt!"
"Well I didn't, alright?" Gray kept up his calming smirk. As much as Juvia's clinginess rubbed him the wrong way sometimes, it was still cute to see her so worried about him.
Juvia finally matched him, giving a soft grin. "Yes, Gray-sama."
"Alright, I'm gonna' head home and get some rest, though. I'm pretty beat." He began to part ways with Juvia.
"Can Juvia come with?" She called out as he stepped a few feet ahead of her. His heart jumped a bit when he heard her ask.
Gray shrugged. "I might fall asleep, but I guess so." He clenched his clammy palms, keeping them secure in his pocket.
On their way to Gray's apartment, the two discussed all about Gray's mission and all the knew friends he had made. Juvia told her side of the story too, and how she and the guild had to do their part as well.
The pair walked through his front door. Gray instantly tossed his bag to the ground. "That all sounds pretty intense. No wonder you're so tired then--"
Juvia was quickly cut off by the embrace of Gray, wrapping his big arms around her small frame. Her eyes stayed wide open as Gray held tighter, burying Juvia's face in his hold.
"I missed you, too." Gray's voice was almost a whisper, and it was hoarse. His chin rested promptly atop her head, and Juvia had to squat a little so he could do so.
She quickly sunk into his arms, wrapping hers around his waist. She squeezed even tighter than he did, finally giving the proper hug she meant to at the guild.
"Juvia is glad you are back." Her voice was muffled in his chest, but he heard every word.
"I'm glad to be back." He shifted his head, so his face now rested in her shoulder, and he buried his face in her blue waves, taking in their familiar scent.
"Do you still want to get some rest, dear?" Juvia lulled, tracing circles on his back with her fingers.
"Yeah." Gray parted from the hug. "You in the mood for a nap?"
Juvia looked up with a content smile. "Of course."
Gray smiled back and quickly kissed the top of her head. "Just what I like to hear."
Juvia giggled as Gray promptly marched into his bedroom, and she trailed behind. The couple shared a nice "welcome back" nap, with Juvia clinging to Gray for dear life as he remained sprawled out, and unbothered by her body clinging to his, and Juvia was free to hang all over Gray in the comfort of his home, just as he intended.

author’s note: so ik what ur thinking. “girly its not vday anymore” ok WELL this is for valentine day anyway<3 based off of what we got from the doodle and the video game<3 ok enjoy<3
*
Juvia had been trying all day to give her chocolate to Gray.
Well, not so much “trying” and more so hiding from him all day, waiting for the perfect time to walk up to him and profess her love with chocolate.
“Come on, Juvia. Just do it!” She whispered to herself as she was sat, curled up, pressed against one of the archways to the main part of the guild, where Gray sat with some friends.
She peered over the corner for what felt like the millionth time and saw Gray smiling as he told a story. Juvia forgot her top-secret mission for a moment and got lost in Gray’s expression. The way he lit up when he spoke about the things he liked was something Juvia could never get tired of. After moments of staring, she snapped back out of it and quickly snapped back around. She looked down at the heart shaped box, perfectly wrapped, and topped with a pink bow. She wore the same worried look she had on her face all day, and even though she spent a week preparing the chocolates, she couldn’t help but feel like they wouldn’t be good enough.
Like she wouldn’t be good enough.
She dropped the box in her lap for a moment, and quickly slapped her cheeks. She then shook her head, to shake the gloom off her face, and then gave an assertive nod to herself. Her legs wobbled as she stood up, and she peered into the room one last time.
Of course, right then was probably the worst time to present her gift since he was sitting with friends, but she had been too scared to do it up until then, and it was already dark outside. She only had so much time left.
Just as she got second thoughts and began to shrivel back down to the ground, she saw Gray stand up and begin to walk her way.
“Eh?!” Juvia panicked and looked around. She saw that right down the hall just so happened to be the bathroom, so Gray must’ve been heading there.
Before he could walk into the archway, Juvia popped out from her hiding spot, putting herself just a couple feet or so away from Gray.
“Gray-sama!” She exclaimed while the had the box of chocolates curled tightly in her arms against her chest.
“Juvia!” He gasped and stopped in his tracks. “Jeez, you scared the crap out of me. Were you waiting for me or-“
“Doesn’t matter.” She quickly cut him off to save herself at least some embarrassment. “But, so, anyway, um, today is- well- Valentine’s Day and-“ She stammered, quickly losing her breath, so she inhaled deeply.
“Would you please accept Juvia and her chocolates!” She spat quickly, bowing and presenting Gray with her box of chocolates.
Gray blushed, and he looked around to see some of the people in the guild stopped what they were doing and were staring.
“O-oi!” Gray finally blurted, pulling Juvia into the hall where she had been hiding, which at least had a little more privacy.
“Oh, please, Gray-sama!” Juvia broke her composure and pressed the chocolates against Gray’s chest, causing him to take a step back. “You have to accept Juvia’s chocolates! I worked so hard on them and did extensive observational research to know which types of chocolates are Gray-sama’s favorites! And also which type of chocolate had the best meaning! And Juvia spent hours cutting them into the perfect shapes!”
“Ok, ok, relax!” Gray finally interjected, placing his hands on Juvia’s shoulders, peeling her off of him. “You don’t gotta’ be so clingy like that!”
Juvia’s emotions were high, as per usual, and tears welled up in her eyes. “S-so...” She sniffed. “You don’t accept Juvia’s chocolates?”
Gray’s eyebrows rose as he saw the weight of the situation, and how intense this really was for Juvia. He took a step towards her. “No, no, no! Hey, I didn’t say that!” His voice was softer but pitchy.
“T-then what are you saying?” She looked up at Gray with the cutest doe eyes as they glistened with tears. Gray turned his head to fight the blush that was appearing on his cheeks.
“Well, what I’m saying is,” He looked back at her curious face for a moment, and then looked down to the ground. He shyly took the box from Juvias’s hands.
“I-I’ll always accept your chocolates.” He grumbled, but Juvia heard every word.
Juvia lit up, and her tears miraculously dried right away. “Oh, Gray-sama!” She lulled, and she wrapped her arms around Gray’s neck, hopping into his arms.
Gray took a moment, and then placed his free hand on Juvia’s lower back, taking in her embrace.
“And wait-“ Gray was the first to step back from the hug. “How the hell did you do ‘extensive observational research’? I hardly eat chocolate.” He raised a brow.
“Oh, don’t worry about it, dear.” Juvia giggled, which didn’t give Gray any sort of peace of mind.
Gray sighed. “Ok well, I think I’m gonna’ go back to my apartment and enjoy some of my chocolates.”
“Wait, before you go, could Gray-sama try a chocolate for Juvia first?” She curled her hands together and pressed them against her face, dotingly.
“Well-er-“ Gray put his hand behind his head and fiddled with his hair. “I was thinking maybe, ya’ know, you could come back and hang out with me? Just like, if you aren’t busy.” He looked up from the ground at Juvia with a nervous blush.
A smile jumped onto Juvia’s face, and she hurried to his side as the two left the guild together. Juvia looked at Gray proudly, as he firmly held her chocolates in his hand.
Juvia was sure Gray had finallt accepted her as his valentine.

*
“Oi, Juvia,” Natsu turned and called out to Juvia. They were finally beginning their long awaited journey back to Magnolia, to reform their guild, after just defeating Avatar. “Did you and Gray wanna’ go back to your cabin and get some of your stuff before you go back?”
“G-g-go back?! Just the two of us?! After all this time?!” Juvia’s face turned a blistering red as she cupped her fiery cheeks in her hands. It had been so long since they were both alone in that house together. What would it be like? How would they act? Would things be different?
“Oh yeah.” Gray calmly chimed in. “There are some things I wanna’ get.” He then turned to Juvia. “We should probably go.”
“O-of course! If Gray-sama insists!” She perked up, suddenly eager to go.
They caught a train back to the village they stayed in and made it there in a fairly short amount of time. Gray looked around their old home with suspicion. There wasn’t a soul to be seen. The town was once so full of life, and bright with spirit. Now the grey clouds above seemed to reflect the dreary village.
“Did something happen?” Gray asked Juvia as they casually walked through the town. “There’s nobody here.” He continued looking, looking for any sign of life.
“Oh.” Juvia remembered, and slouched slightly, partially ashamed. “Everyone kind of, well, left.” She said simply.
“What?” Gray was surprised. “Why?”
“Well...” She paused and took a moment to breathe. “Juvia’s rain sort of... came back, and it was, well, constant.” Her voice was sheepish. “It sort of drove everyone out of the village Juvia supposes.” She forced a smile and a fake lighthearted laugh.
That got Gray’s attention. He stopped looking through the village and snapped his focus onto Juvia. “What do you mean it came back?” He seemed annoyed.
“After Gray-sama left, Juvia’s rain came back.” She shrugged. Once she saw Gray’s look of what seemed like agitation, she began to panic. “It’s not a big deal or anything! Juvia was just being over-dramatic!” She gave another plastic smile, attempting to ease Gray.
“Tch.” Gray looked away from Juvia and turned back to the path to the way to their house, dropping the conversation.
Eventually, they approached their cabin. The wood that the house was built out of was seemingly becoming moldy, or at least dingy. All of the drapes to the windows were now closed, although Gray remembered Juvia always insisted they leave them open. The plants that Juvia adored that were littered around the porch were dead from drowning in her storm.
“Juvia is sorry the house is so out of shape, Gray-sama!” Juvia was embarrassed. She only ever had Gray on her mind, so she never took the time to worry about the appearance of their home once he was gone. Even though that place meant everything to her, she seemed to completely disregard it.
“Stop it.” Gray said, harshly. He didn’t need Juvia to explain herself. It was ridiculous of her. “It doesn’t matter anyway. We’re just here to get our stuff.”
“Right.” Juvia nodded.
Inside, the rooms were dark, and dusty. It was hard for Gray to believe they even lived their at one point, that this was the same home they shared. He remembered Juvia always making a fuss about keeping the place clean, and decorative, and so full of life: some things that this foreign lot was lacking.
Gray was finished packing up first. He had all of his belongings in a duffel bag with a couple other things held in his hand. The door to Juvia’s room was open, so he walked in and leaned on the frame of the doorway.
“Yo.” Juvia flinched to Gray’s low voice, it had been so long since she heard it. She paused her packing and turned around. “I’m all packed up. If you need any help just let me-” Gray paused. As he looked around, Juvia’s room seemed to follow the same format as the rest of the rooms. Dull, gloomy, muted, but something caught his eye.
“What’s this?” He set his belongings down. He walked over to her bedside table towards a vile of red liquid, which was now almost empty.
“Oh, well, nothing really.” Juvia sporadically said with a forced chuckle and quickly was at Gray’s side, hoping to take the bottle before he could get a good look at it.
“Medicine?” He read the label of the bottle. “And it looks like Wendy’s handwriting.” He turned to Juvia.
“Y-yes.” Juvia took a step back and nervously held her hands together. “Wendy-san made that potion for Juvia.” She looked away.
“Why?”
“Juvia was, uh, well, sort of sick.” She remained avoiding eye contact.
“Sick?” Gray’s voice and tone raised. “You were sick? And Wendy couldn’t cure it with just her magic? She had to make a potion?” All of these little things were building up to one big slap in Gray’s face.
“Juvia had a very bad fever. I was sitting outside most of the time, so it was caused by my rain...” She said to the volume of that of a mouse, fidgeting her hands.
“Oh my god.” Gray sunk. He put the bottle back on the table and collapsed onto the bed, holding his head in his hands as his elbows rested on his knees. Just what had he done?
“B-but none of this is Gray-sama’s fault!” She was quick to perk up and defend Gray.
“All of this is my fucking fault!” Gray lifted his head and snapped his gaze to Juvia with sharp, blunt eyes, glistening with a sheen of tears. Juvia dropped her defense, and looked back beneath her.
“If it weren’t for me, this place wouldn’t look like shit, your rain wouldn’t have come back, and you wouldn’t have gotten sick!” He was angry. Juvia said nothing. “Am I wrong?!”
Juvia’s shoulders began to bog, jaggedly, up and down. She had finally broken. She was out of false excuses.
“Why did you leave me, Gray-sama?” She looked back up to him, tears overflowing in her piercing, yet helpless gaze.
Gray’s eyes widened, the sight before him caused his breath to catch itself in his throat.
“I-it was a secret mission.” He looked away, bringing the blank look back to his face. “It was to get more info on Zeref. I had to go, and Erza told me I couldn’t tell or bring anyone.”
Juvia’s tears fell onto her face, and then onto the floor.
“Juvia knows.” Her head was down, once again. She gathered her composure, slightly, for a mere moment. “Juvia understands. Putting and end to Zeref and E.N.D is very important to Gray-sama. This was all for the best.” She sniffled. “So, why..?” She brought her hands up to her eyes, and lost the weak grip she had on herself for that second, and began sobbing into her palms.
“So why is Juvia so hurt?”
Gray said nothing for a brief instant. He looked at her, although she did not return the contact, with shock and sorrow in his eyes. He didn’t know what to think, and he couldn’t place Juvia’s emotions, but he knew what he was feeling.
Remorse, guilt, responsibility, sadness, Gray’s heart was a melting pot of these horrible things. He couldn’t bare to see her in so much pain before, and all because of him. He would not be the reason she shed tears. He refused, especially after all she’d done for him. She was by his side, supporting him through everything. Even after he abandoned her for six months, she still did nothing but be there for him.
He quickly arose from the bed and wrapped his arms around her, with her hands still covering her eyes, causing her breath to stop in surprise for a second.
“It’s alright. I’m sorry.” His words were soft though his face was flinty. He stared at the wall as he brought his hand up to the back of Juvia’s head, firmly bringing her face to his chest, as he rested his chin atop her.
“G-Gray-sama should not have to apologize.” She shook her head as she sobbed into his chest, her voice muffled.
“Like hell I shouldn’t” His voice was even lower. “So cut the crap. You’re allowed to be sad. From some aspects, what I did,” He paused. “What I did to you was a shity thing. Really shitty.” Her cries were much softer as he spoke. He remembered all the scolding Natsu gave him, and manifested it into his words.“So let me say I’m sorry.” He grumbled through his pouted lips as his cheeks were colored pink.
Juvia finally removed her hands from her face and wrapped her arms around Gray, being encased by his warmth. The warmth that she had missed, so very much.
“It’s ok.” She hummed; her mood was already much better just by appreciating being in Gray’s hold. “Juvia is glad Gray-sama is ok.”
She held on even tighter, and in about a minute, her instincts kicked in. Her mind began to soar with thoughts of Gray, and his big, toned arms that were engulfing her. She subconsciously began to sniff him, and exhale with delight.
“Ahh.” She swooned. “Gray-sama still smells just as delicious as he always has.” She snuggled up against him.
“O-kay” Gray announced. “That’s enough of that.” He said, avoiding Juvia’s odd comment. He pulled her away from him and turned back to his things. “We should probably head out. The guild isn’t gonna’ rebuild itself.”
“Aw!” Juvia said, defeated, and dramatically slouched over.
“Don’t sound so disappointed cause’ I stopped you from smelling me! Don’t you realize that ain’t normal!?” He exclaimed.
“Juvia doesn’t care about what’s normal! Juvia hasn’t smelled your sweet scent in six whole months! You can’t blame me!” She defended, reaching her arms out for Gray.
“Quit bein’ creepy and meet me in the living room when you’re done packing.” Gray asserted with an annoyed, but familiar look on his face as he quickly made his way out of her room and shut the door, as Juvia sulked on her bed.
They soon packed all of their belongings and walked through their front door, back into the village where a ray of sun peaked through the dispersing clouds.
“Juvia is so sad to say goodbye to she and Gray-sama’s home.” She frowned with exaggerated sniffles.
“I wouldn’t call this a goodbye.” He said frankly. “It’s more like a ‘see-ya-later.’“ He turned to Juvia with a smirk on his face. Her eyes began to glow, and she settled onto a content smile.
“Yes, Gray-sama.” She looked to the ground with her fulfilled smile.
On their walk to the train, Gray grabbed his arms and gave a small shiver.
“It’s gettin’ kinda’ cold out.” He simply said.
Juvia pondered and looked around a little to see any signs of anyone or anything being cold, which she did not, and felt her own body temperature at a fairly normal level, and for Gray especially, this weather was hardly anything.
“Really? Juvia doesn’t think it’s too co-” She turned back to Gray with confusion and quietly gasped as she saw him wrapping himself with a grey, poorly knitted, homey/cozy looking, seemingly worn in scarf. He did not make eye contact with her, and kept his sharp expression on the road ahead.
She knew that scarf all too well.
“Actually, Juvia is a little chilly.” Attempting to keep her overjoyed reaction in line, she simply wrapped her one arm around Gray’s and with the other she reached out and held his hand, causing him to initially flinch, but he kept his hand intertwined with hers.
They made their way to their true home, Fairy Tail, walking in bliss, putting the bad parts of the past behind them and looking to a hopeful future.
One where Juvia’s rain would never return.
