....but hmmm well, sure, he's unstable! And yet, isn't that just his most charming point? Seeing emotions pour out from Amane, slip through the cracks of his poorly-managed facade, ahh, it invigorates, doesn't it? Don't you want to see him lose it, over and over and over? Don't you want to see what happens? Don't you want to know what Amane wants? If he was stable, we'd never know a thing, he'd lock it all behind a solid metal door! I think Hanako himself agrees with you, that he shouldn't be allowed to do whatever he'd like, and that what he wants and is inclined to do, is quite dangerous! Hmmmm... he doesn't trust himself at all! Amane knows best that he shouldn't be allowed to exist freely, that he's best kept in chains! Anyone arguing otherwise.... Amane wouldn't agree with them!

In fact, I think that seal on his cheek, limiting his power, and his passive acceptance of it, is further proof that there is an Amane that he doesn't want us to know! You know, AidaIro's even joked once that if the seal on Amane's cheek is removed, the world will fall into disarray....

..... as for trying to kill Kou, I think you're wrong. I don't know that Hanako's knife actually works on living human beings quite like a normal knife. We don't know just yet how it works in the current canon, but in the pilot anyway, Hanako must have intention to stab through someone, and can simply make an imposing gesture....

...I also firmly believe Hanako was not stupid enough to kill The Minamoto Teru's brother. He knows who Teru is, he knows what attacking Kou would do to him. As good as a deathwish. I think Hanako was intending to make his little dramatic display, make Kou think twice about him, and then probably walk off with a smile and a message about kaii not being the same as human beings. A lesson. I think Teru jumped the gun and got aggro. I think Teru took it too far and too seriously. I don't think early series Hanako is actually cracked through enough to remotely behave murderously. Though we don't know wtf he was even thinking about the yorishiro and urabon so....

I mean ... in many ways, I think the murderous mindset for Hanako is intrinsically attached to devotion, love, commitment, thematically in a metatext way, and in a subconscious way in his fictional brain. If you think of the murder/shinjuu as something very sacred to Amane.... then the 'next time' can't be something frivolous or impulsive. You understand why he looks like this about having to consider it all.

..and why the processing emotions are similar

...you would be remiss to think of Hanako as a renegade, rogue murderer.

He is in fact a deeply calculating, deeply passionate, very personal murderer. I don't think he' waste the emotion or besmirch his own action through something as flippant or crude, as murdering Kou impulsively. I don't think murder can be impulsive for Amane.

For me, every person I know is special, and has a special role in my life 😊i.c. My mother and brothers make me a better person, my friends make me happy. Each one has a different role in my life 🥰(Even the fictional characters😉).

Hi 💖 Anon-san,Yes l'll really ignore the toxic fandom.When it comes to Amane,i'm oversensitive at times and I am ready to stand up for him. I just saw this post at the wrong time for me. I'll not to make such a fuss anymore because it really wasn't necessary to get involved in fandom toxicity, but I had a moment of weakness so I don't want this to happen again. The only thing I want to give is love for our beloved Amane and that's what I will focus on 😉 You are right Anon-san, and thank you for your care about me😗

Here, I consider it a somewhat complex topic, because if we talk about the fact that he said in his speech that he himself wants to save her - it is completely selfish, but wanting the life of a person who you know will die is not selfish. I have such a case in my family myself, so I can understand how Amane feels about Yashiro.

It was explained to me that "Hanako doesn't takes Yashiro's feelings into account. He ignores the fact that she wants to die and lets no other thought" and that he wants to save her himself. I don't agree that he doesn't take her feelings into account (which I agreed to before), but after thinking about it, I shouldn't agree because it's a complete BS. Yashiro wanted to die in order not to make any problems so that her friend could come back, but actually she does NOT want to die and he knows it. That's why he's so stubborn, that's why he wants to save her. Really when it comes to life, if there is this one 1% chance to live, then everyone is desperate to do whatever it takes to save the person you love. I know what that means, so I find it offensive to call him "selfish" in this context when he is not. Amane knows death is no fun, knows that as a wandering soul of regret it is something he wouldn't wish for anyone. That's why he wants to save her.

He knows Yashiro's true feelings, so he doesn't want her to give up and that's why he doesn't want her to talk about wanting to die when she really doesn't want to die.

Most of all, Amane tried other methods to save her, but failed. It was Yashiro and her wish in a perfect painting that gave him more opportunities. It is just sorry that even the majority of Hanako stans admit Tsukasa's right when he's wrong. Yashiro said lying, she doesn't want to die. She said this for the sake of her friend and Amane to keep things good. Tsukasa picked it up to manipulate Amane, but can see most people prefer to praise him for the one word he used to manipulate, and then it was easier for him to manipulate than look at it all critically. I have a different perspective than others apparently.

Anon-san, I figured OK, since Amane is "selfish" just because he wants Yashiro to live, I'm "selfish" just as much because I said the same words about my cousion. I can be selfish with him. I don't mind.

I really thought I was the only one in the fandom to say otherwise, but I'm glad I was wrong. Thanks Anon-san 💖
