i think the consensus of the watcher situation is that people would pay a subscription service but seeing the content as it is now they cant justify

Something that hasn’t really been exploited in depth (usually it’s just brushed over with a one compliment fix-it-all) is also Sirius being extremely insecure about his body after Azkaban. Most definitely struggling to recover from an ED, something that isn’t as simple as eating a few good meals. It takes months/years. He desperately wants to eat more and get better quick, but eating too much causes him to get sick. It’s hard to find balance and the patience needed to recover. So even if he sleeps in the same bed as Remus, he’ll be wrapped up in a sweatshirt with a tshirt underneath, just so Moony doesn’t have to feel his sharp edges.

And Remus struggles trying to find the right words to say (usually HE was the one struggling with his body image) and feels like he’s failing Sirius in some way.

Until they eventually TALK ABOUT IT.

so first, i absolutely agree with you but absolutely harbor no resentment or like...anything towards all the WONDERFUL raising harry fics out there thar kind of skip over the hardparts to focus on fostering a new and light and loving relationship. And dont mind when its glossed over and i also occassionally gloss over as well.

I think sirius and harry in particular have had a rough go of it and authors just wanting to give love to that relationship and give one HJP all the love in the world kind of supercedes the need for unpacking trauma (NOT ALWAYS, NOT ALL FICS, BUT OUR BOYS DESERVE HAPPY!!!).

Thattttt all said--remus and sirius's relationship post azkaban is soooo interesting for me to think about, and sirius's body is one of the reasons and change in physicality (in an alleged WIP, again will not confirm or deny if it exists, i spend a bit of time with sirius acknowledging changes in his posture and how he holds himself and how his mannerisms have changed after being in prison for 12 years). And REMUS who previously was maybe used to, and kind of... (im buffering and going to use the word borrowed here) borrowed sirius's confidence when it suited him-- THIS IS SOMETHING I WRITE ABOUT OFTEN-- has to adjust to that. He cant just *take* some ego from sirius right away when he gets trapped in his own insecurities, because sirius is caught up in his own.

And yes to having ro adjust to eating again. And eating full meals and taking nutrition potions so hes not so malnourished but its HARD (and this particular parallel with Harry coming to live with him after his time at the dursleys). Having to eventually talk about ALL THESE THINGS. Yes.
