MILO

Name: Milo Davies

Age: 26

Position: Captain

Bio: Milo is Poppy's younger brother and was part of the Laughingstock Crew in its early days. He left to form his own crew when he was a teenager, feeling stifled by Poppy.

Milo is vain and reckless, and he relies on his crewmates more than he'd like to admit. He acts tyrannical, but the crew doesn't take him seriously enough to feel threatened by it.

BLACK CHIN

Name: Evelyn "Black Chin" Black

Age: 30

Position: First mate

Bio: Milo, Black Chin, and Henric used to be buddies. They'd meet up at the pub and talk and fantasize together about forming their own crew. When Milo left the Laughingstock Crew, the three of them formed the Jolly Hounds Crew. (Henric eventually left for reasons I won't get into here.)

Black Chin is the only crew member Milo truly respects. He's more mature and levelheaded (and sober) than Milo and often acts as his voice of reason. He knows that he'd be a better captain than Milo is, but he's content with being first mate.

He HATES his first name. It reminds him of his posh upbringing. Mentioning it would get you a dirty look or a knock from his sword hilt.

KIMOTHY

Name: Kimothy Smith

Age: 33

Position: Gunner and striker

Bio: When he was a small child, Kimothy's parents shipwrecked off the Previously-Abandoned-Now-Inhabited Island and drowned. Kimothy survived and was raised by the PANI Islanders, who taught him his battle skills. The Jolly Hounds visited the PANI Island once, and Kimothy chose to join them, wanting to explore the world.

Kimothy is a jack-of-all-trades with weapons and carries three or four at a time. He's a violent but honorable fighter.

He speaks with a severe mumble and most people can't understand him unless he speaks in short sentences. Roger can understand him just fine, however, and usually acts as his interpreter.

ROGER

Name: Roger Rogerson III

Age: 43

Position: Scout

Bio: Roger once attempted to start a career as a detective. Unfortunately for him, there isn't much demand for detectives in Candle Cove. He resorted to joining the crew because he couldn't make a living and they needed somebody who was actually smart a scout.

He is a skilled (if tragically unappreciated) investigator and uses his skills to do things like find hidden treasure and obtain information from enemy crews.

He has a scope in his left eye socket. It has several moveable lenses (like those things optometrists use) and can function as a magnifying glass or telescope or microscope as need be. He designed and built it himself and had it surgically implanted by Dr. Mort.

STARSON

Name: Starson von Gnock

Age: 22

Position: Navigator

Bio: Starson was born into an aristocratic family that micromanaged his life, controlling everything he did in order to maintain their power in high society and keep up appearances. Knowing how rich his family is, the Jolly Hounds once kidnapped him and held him for ransom. It turned out that he was thrilled to finally be free from his parents, and to have some excitement in his life, and he chose to join the crew instead of return home.

He has a talent for navigation and map-making. He considers his time with the crew as temporary, eventually wanting to begin a career as a cartographer using the knowledge of Candle Cove's topography he's gained while sailing with the crew. He's just waiting for the tension with his family to die down.

BUBBA

Name: Barrabas "Bubba" True

Age: 41

Position: Cook and janitor

Bio: A bored sailor, Bubba accidentally stumbled onto the Jolly Hounds' ship one day, said, "Eh, why not?" and joined them. The crew was happy with this because nobody else knew how to cook or clean.

Bubba is a goofy and easygoing guy. He often seems drunk, but he doesn't drink; that's just how he is.

SARIAH

Name: Sariah Fanshawe

Age: 24

Position: Cabin girl

Bio: Sariah is an upper-class woman who's always been fascinated by the adventurous life of pirates. This is one of the reasons she was attracted to and started dating Milo. One day, she had a falling out with her family, and ran away to live on the ship with Milo and the crew.

Sariah was quite naive when she first joined, and the other crew members thought that she didn't have to guts to be a pirate. This wasn't helped by the fact that Milo coddles her. However, she's learning the ropes.

DANNY

Name: Danny

Age: 4

Position: Ship pet

Bio: The crew found Danny's egg abandoned one day while looking for treasure and decided to care for it until it hatched. Milo disagreed with this, but he was outvoted by everyone else. He eventually warmed up to him and considers him to be his pet.

Danny is a wyvern (he has 2 wings and 2 legs) and only about as big as a macaw. He can't breathe fire, much to Milo's dismay.

“well, i ain’t so good in my talking to people at the best of times, so havin’ a cow to practice with helped me out a lot. other than my brothers, i didn’t really talk to too many people. still ain’t the best at it,” but he had been forced to acclimatise, for the safety of the three of them. if he had never bundled froggy and henric into the truck’s front bench and driven them far away from tennessee, secured them papers—real or not—to get on a flight, they wouldn’t be standing today as the well-mannered, albeit slightly questionable, young men that they were. snapped out of his stupor, striker swallowed before shaking his head once, hard. “no, no… my old ranch… well, it was my father’s, an’ he ain’t a good man. we got by off the land an’ the produce but only ‘cus we were worked to the bone. i loved it, mind you, but we weren’t ever paid in money. paid in lashes, more like.” his fingers anxiously drummed against the bar top. the more he forgot about his old life, the better, yet it continued to creep in at the darkest of times. his dreams were marred with flashbacks. he tossed, turned and kicked in the twin bed shared by three, waking in a cold sweat, having to argue that he’d just dreamt about something stupid. his entire life had been protecting his brothers—he had no reason to stop now. “sure you can eat them, ‘specially if you pull up a big ole catfish. you can bake it, fry it—” everything was fried, down south, “—butter it up. you name it. got us out of a few hairy situations, reeling us in a catfish for our dinner. over here i gotta rifle through the garbage to find us somethin' if our stomachs are rumbling up a storm.” a beat of laughter fell from his lips, although it was humourless; without needing to ask, he could tell that amelia was from money striker could only ever dream of. sleepless, hungry nights would be a thing of the past. if only. "it's nice to meet you too, amelia. thanks a whole bunch for the food."

edward was born with a golden spoon on his mouth, but in the beginning of life, very little luck other than that - his parents passed away when he was still a young boy & given that the only family he had left were his maternal grandparents who'd retired on london , that's where they sent him. with a trust fund on his name and inconsolable grief on his heart.

growing up, henric looked up to his brothers, followed them everywhere they might go, especially big brother striker. an abusive father, a mother soon gone, and trailer life wasn't good for a young boy to get the best options in life, and henric didn't try much to change things either. barely making it through school, barely holding down a job, his interests were often of the alcoholic kind more than hobbies or friends.

I already said Calvery is Ukrainian and Salty JoJo is canonically Jamaican. Idk what banana king is and I don't think of Sanjay, maybe I'll say they're Australian. Biography

His parents hadn’t quite known what to do with him. Perpetually wavering between intervening and leaving him to his own devices. Henric and Ingrid Lyckholm never feared, but they worried as most parents did. Anthony Lyckholm never said much. Not as a child, nor as an adult. That wasn’t to say he didn’t have anything to say—for he had quite a lot to say about many things—but he kept quiet. It was safer that way. 

Tony had a very mundane upbringing. Henric owned and operated a deli in Sedona while Ingrid worked as an interior designer. They had a nice, quaint home tucked away in a corner of Arizona. Not much happened in that corner. Tony was an only child and he loved it. He couldn’t imagine having a sibling and doing sibling-like things, such as sharing a room and toys and fighting over space intrusions; he treasured the solitude and being the sole receiver of his parents’ attention. He became very close to his parents; they were his best friends and his confidants and would be the only ones to fill that role for the rest of their lives.  

Things were stagnant for a long time, he remembered. Tony never took any interest in sports or academics or girls like the rest of his peers did. He could never fathom the concern they had for school functions and who was fucking whom on the football team. He was always the odd man out. Although he was intelligent, Tony couldn’t have cared less if he failed, or by some stroke of luck, passed his classes. And for this, he was always treated with a combination of curiosity, dislike, and fear. Tony kept to himself and took no shit. 

Then something happened that he would never ever forget. 

Life had just begun. 

Earlier that day, in the 6th grade, after school, Tony saw the most powerful image of brooding men dressed in all black with large cross necklaces and long, shaggy hair at a local comic-book slash drug store. He asked the owner who it was, to which he replied, “That, kid, is Black Sabbath.” Tony ran immediately to the nearest record store and asked the worker for a Black Sabbath record and walked home with Paranoid tucked tightly under his arm. He inhaled his dinner that night. Tony asked his parents if he could take their record player to his room just for tonight. They said yes. 

Blaring through the speakers the first chord of War Pigs/Luke’s Wall struck and he was gooseflesh all over. Tony shuddered. The roaring riffs grabbed and shook him. The thundering music, the pure magic that heavy metal was, was felt overwhelmingly in every cell of his body. He was fucking spellbound. The thread between reality and fantasy unraveled. From that day he would never be able to shake the intense and consuming feelings he’d experienced. The music spoke to him in a way he couldn’t articulate. And all he knew was that he needed more. 

His days were spent in solitude, listening to Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, and Slayer on his Walkman. He swiped magazines from local bookstores and thrift stores and began putting up posters and reading interviews of his favorite musicians. He noticed there was one more thing these guys had in common besides heavy metal: tattoos. There were no shortages of monsters, winged creatures prepared for combat, naked pin-up girls, skulls, curse words, homages to other musicians, God and Satan, and serpents and roses nestled next to each other and the beautiful juxtaposition of it all. Though he thought he’d never feel something as powerful as his first Sabbath listen, Tony had now discovered tattoos. He began tattooing himself with sewing needles and India ink he had stolen from the local craft supplies store. They were rough and jailhouse-looking and he was thoroughly possessed. He wanted adventure, excitement, danger, indulgence, and everything. And he knew this would be his way out. 

At 16 Tony managed to convince a local tattoo artist to allow him the opportunity to shadow him, ultimately granting him an apprenticeship upon turning 18. He surprised the community of artists surrounding him, as well as himself, with how skilled and quickly he was able to pick up the art of tattooing; he knew he’d found his niche in life—his outlet by which he was able to draw his passions into existence. Henric and Ingrid had suggested art school, but Tony declined and showed no interest in further pursuing higher education after high school. His work and abilities proved promising and that he would be able to reach great heights in his career as a tattoo artist without the need for a degree.

Reaching his 11th year working at the same studio, he itched to get out of town—more than ever with two jail sentences under his belt for battery—and re-establish himself someplace new. He found out his girlfriend at the time was cheating on him and “a dude ended up running into my fist, like, 40 times” and a drunken brawl involving weapons. He was good enough to open his own studio but the competition was always tough and he didn’t have the confidence. It took quite a bit of pushing and shoving from his parents to gain the assurance to do so and before the 12th year hit, Tony had secured empty studio space in Providence Peak, Colorado. It was nothing fancy, but it was his and it was perfect.  

An esoteric morgue where the walls are bathed in the glow of blood-red lights, spaces filled with occult objects not for the faint of heart, tattoo supplies lined on surgical trays, and tattoo chairs that look an awful lot like electric chairs. You aren’t sure if you’re getting a live autopsy or tattooed as you’re taking a seat. This was Tony’s studio, Infernal Affairs Tattoo. His little slice of hell.  

He accepts walk-ins. If you dare.

Maxi (formerly Max) McLachlan directs this gross, ghoulish and drool dripping music video for Liverpudlian rock group Stone.

A quiet lunchtime pub trip descends into chaos as the patrons morph into monsters, convulsing on the floor and biting shards of glass. Evil is spewed out of these zombie-like creatures, spread as a virus from projectile, foam-filled spit. The nightmare however is brought to a halt by the pub landlady, who is clearly no stranger to violent, stumbling men. The cure to this monstrous affliction? Like in life, a simple glass of water (albeit chucked and drenched over the cast and camera).

The video acts as a commentary on toxic behaviour fuelled by lads and alcohol. Maxi stated "As we've all seen, the wrong group of lads with the wrong pints can result in a real life horror-show. I wanted to take that lad-ish behaviour and make it physically toxic, and show how this toxicity can be corrosively infectious (plus it made for a great excuse to finally make a zombie movie)."

Drawing on a love of 80s horror films, the practical effects and make-up literally come bubbling up and bursting out of the performers' skin. In particular the patient zero-zombie, as played by Hugo Hamlet, twists and turns in violent fashion as he is possessed. This is made all the more visceral by the saturated, gritty aesthetic capture on 16mm by DP Owain Morgan.

The whole video is accompanied by a Mike Skinner like to-camera performance from Fin Power, the front man of the band, regaling his first-hand experiences with toxic masculinity.

first out is luna & max! so max wrote a serie of eye opening environment articles for the oasis chronical and got headhunted to be editor-in-chief for the ever-so-green gazette in evergreen harbor. they decided to move there for at least a year, and bought a house on conifer station street - it was very much in need of some love, but both max and luna are high skilled handy sims, so the renovation took them just a few months. luna left the anthropology and history museum in newcrest for a 1 year long maternity leave and joe locklear stepped in, in her place while she’s gone. 36 hours ago, she gave birth to max and her’s first child together, noel!

@ellecim here’s my OCs Ameera and Henric at Ameera’s quince a year after she was turned;

The room was loud filled with the sounds of violins strumming as people parted ways. Fourteen young men step forward each swaying gallantly as a soft male voice began singing. Everyone in the room began cheering as a young woman of fifteen stepped forward with a young man besides her. Everyone watched with awe as the two began waltzing.

“They look like a married couple…” a few people whispered.

One could not help but think that Ameera Adorna looked like a bride in her silvery ball gown. The way the skirt twirled elegantly as she was spun, long black curls trailing behind her like a veil, and the shining crown on her head made her look like the image of a young bride.

Henric gazed her as a man who had been in love with her since the dawn of time. His black eyes were full of warmth, his gaze never leaving her even as she moved to dance with the others.

Ameera had always dreamed of having her first kiss at her quinceañera. She would be dressed up like Cinderella and it was going to be at Disneyland and he would propose to her.

But the reality.

The reality of it was so much better.

She was standing near the small water fountain as their song started playing.

“Are we gonna dance?” Henric asked with a laugh.

“You’re such a dork.” She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Yeah but I’m your dork so there.” He said, wrapping his arms around her waist. “It’s our song.”

“I know.” She replied resting her head on his chest.

“Hey Ameera.” He whispered.

“Hmm?” she looked up.

“Close your eyes.”

She nodded and closed them. She heard a soft nervous sigh, before her mouth felt warm.

“Henric?” she whispered looking at him as they looked away.

“You know what that meant,” He said resting his head on hers. “We don’t need to say more.”

She smiled. “We don’t.”

OK!! So I’ve been getting a lot of requests about my OCs and I decided I was gonna go ahead and start sharing them!! This is my Main OC, Ruby Sorin!! I also gave her some headcanons about her family and herself below and I hope you guys like her!!! Also here you go @just-maria

FAMILY HEADCANONS

Ruby is actually not from Japan; She is from Romania. But her father, who is one of the top support engineers in the country was offered his dream position to work with Tea Idaten as their main support engineer and he took it. Moving his youngest children with him at around the end of their middle school year (so about 14/15) and encouraged them to enroll in UA.

Their mother, Alessia Castillo-Sorin, passed away when Ruby and her triplets were around 8. She passed from ovarian cancer.

Before she passed, she was a retired side kick from one of the top hero agencies in Romania; her hero name was Shimmer.

Her father, Marcus Sorin, is Quirkless; As is her Three eldest brothers; Dimitri, Jullian and Luciano. 

She has 7 brothers. Only five of them are biological, her brothers Henric and Alfonso are adopted.

She’s the only girl in her family.

Her family is extremely tight knit and they all try to keep in contact with one another at least once a day. They have a family group chat. It gets a little difficult with the time zone differences but they make it work.

Most of her older brothers live in Romania still; some are scattered across Europe. Her second oldest brother; Luciano is a tattoo artist in Barcelona. The oldest twins; Dimitri and Jullian, are detectives in Bucharest who work along Henric and Alfonso’s hero agency.

Ruby is 1/3 of the Sorin Triplets. Her other Triplets are Lance and Leon; Leon is in Class 1-B and Lance is in the support course. The three of them are triple trouble and are extremely close with one another.

Her brothers visit Japan as often as possible to see their youngest siblings. There was at one point in time when they all showed up to the dorms to surprise the triplets. Their tears could have rivaled Izuku’s.

She grew up in a Pagan household!! She can read tarot cards insanely well and it’s something that’s helped her come up with her hero name. 

Out of all the older siblings; Ruby is closest to Luciano and Dimitri.

QUIRK HEADCANONS

Her Quirk is called Shine!! It was her mother’s quirk and she was so happy when she got it. Basically with Shine she can manipulate the light particles around her’s and other’s body! (so long as she is touching them; like holding onto their hand and it has to be skin on skin or it won’t work with another person.) due to this; Ruby’s skin seems to always have a luminescent glow around her skin that she can amp up or tone down. Her brothers like to call her a walking flashlight. 

With her quirk she can move faster than the average person, traveling at short, instantaneous bursts. She can only do this around 10-12 times. And it can only be to a predetermined location. It has been theorized by her and others that she could travel at the speed of light but she refuses to entertain the idea as it could rip apart every atom in her body.

She can also shoot light in concentrated beams from any point in her body. Mainly her hands and feet. She calls it her Lumi-Shoot. 

Her hero name is The Scarlet Witch; mainly because when she uses her lumi shot, it looks almost scarlet in color. Also because of her hair.

Due to her quirk’s main thing of being blinding enemies doesn’t mean Ruby is immune to the effects of the brightness; She actually has to have custom contacts made to help protect her eyes along with her contacts.

Out of all of her brothers; she was the only one to fully inherit her mothers’ quirk. Her brother Lance can only illuminate his hands which is useful for working support; Her brother Leon however inherited their maternal grandmother’s quirk which is manipulating water.

She considered using her mom’s hero name but decided against it. Opting to make her own.

GENERAL HEADCANONS

Ruby’s birthday is May 25th, making her and her brothers Gemini.

She Placed in the top 30 of her entrance exam. 

Her hair is extremely curly and unruly; she has a lot of trouble taming it and it sometimes looks like a “lion’s mane” as her brothers call it.

She is Bisexual and not scared to admit it. Her first crush when she came to UA was Uraraka; she literally couldn’t speak to her with out blushing and it was adorable. Her brothers didn’t let her live it down for a month.

She’s a naturally sweet and very warm person; the kind that you look at and think “oh they can’t possibly have a mean bone in their body” but actually Ruby is extremely sassy and sarcastic; she just tends to keep it to herself and her close friends more often than not. She finds it hilarious when people realize she isn’t as innocent as she seems. 

Also growing up with 7 brothers she learned how to stand up for herself pretty early on so she doesn’t take shit from anyone.

Her favorite colors are Green, Red and Blue. Specifically Emerald, Wine Red and Cobalt Blue.

Her nicknames from her family are Little Lion and Sunshine.

She has a little black cat named Salem and she loves him more than life itself. He moves into the dorms with her and becomes something of Class 1-A’s Mascot along with Koda’s bunny. 

She has Anxiety, Depression and PTSD (the last one mainly from the training camp incident where she was seriously injured); she’s on medication for anxiety and depression but meets with a counselor every other week for therapy.

She reads tarot cards on the side to make some pocket money, but she always gives them for free to her classmates. 

She’s Hellenistic Pagan specifically; a fact she somewhat keeps to herself, but will gladly discuss her religion with anyone if they broach the subject first. Her deities are Aphrodite, Persephone and Hades. She’s even let some people in the class see the altar she has set up in her room when they move into the dorms.

Her favorite teachers are Midnight, Eraserhead and Present Mic in that order. She loves Midnights confidence and fun loving attitude. With Mic it’s because he always makes an effort to help her. And with Eraserhead; it’s because he’s saved her life and also because she can tell he cares deeply for his students.

She’s typically with her brother’s most lunch periods in the support room since Lance is a workaholic and doesn’t know when to stop and take a break. 

Ruby actually gets along pretty well with the Bakusquad and the Dekusquad. Although she’s seen hanging out with the Bakusquad more often than not since she’s super close with Mina.

Her and Mina get along like a house on fire. And when those two are together they’re bound to get in trouble. She also gets along well with Aoyama, finding him to be smarter and more insightful than people really give him credit for. 

She has a small crush on Shinsou

And on Kaminari.

She’s having a dilemma someone help her. 

She and Kaminari also get along super well and she finds him to be hilarious. He also has the same taste in books as her. 

She finds Bakugou more funny than anything else and just laughs at him when he threatens to blow her up. She’s spent years dealing with Jullian, Bakugou is nothing.

She also likes Tokoyami a lot; she finds him to be intriguing.

She has a box full of Polaroid pictures that she took when everyone moved into the dorms and she typically takes a lot of them still. She also owns a record player with a crap ton of records she got from her mom and dad.

She loves vintage things and punk things so her wardrobe can go from cottage core to punk/emo there is no in between.

Her room is very cozy and always smelling of whatever incense she burned that day; most of the time it’s peach and sage. She also has a ton of fairy lights hanging around the room and it’s always just very soothing. She also has a lot of candles. Like a lot. She has a problem.

She smells like pomegranate a lot of the time due to her body spray and sometime really warm like sunlight. 

She’s scary good at Hero History and Hero Law. But she sucks absolute ass at Math.

I typically ship her with Denki or Shinsou; Sometimes even as a poly ship.

But i’m open to shipping her with just about everyone.

But Mainly Denki and Shinsou. Because I just think they would be adorable together you know? Purple Emo Boy dating not one bu two Balls of Sunshine? Yes please. Sign me UP!
