Recently discussed some childhood books that impacted me a lot as a person and writer, and I wanted to doodle! These characters are both from the Frog Princess series by ED Baker, Emma from the main books and Zoe from the second-generation ones.

Zoe was, I think, the first vampire I read about and liked. She was so cute and I loved the idea that a vampire could have coloring like hers (instead of the typical red eyes and black hair I had in my head before). My first real OC was a vampire sort of based on her!

What are your thoughts on Steve's storyline this season. From the reviews the main things seem to be his friendship with robin/ his friendship with Dustin/ something with Nancy ( him having a crush on her or something that so far without any context makes me want to roll my eyes) and his heroics and this all falls into him thinking of who he wants to be and who he wants to be with which frankly seems great as they're hiting all the important parts of a character arc, his place in the world, his friendships, his romantic life.

i'm excited for his arc in s4! as you said, the convergence of romance, friendship, and identity is going to be wonderful for steve as those really are the big three.

to be specific, i'm hoping and expecting they continue from about where steve left off in s3. if i'm right, he’ll have a big moment at some point during the season about his relationships. to be even more specific, i think this moment will be a realization that his friendships with the gang are just as rich and meaningful as his (hypothetical) romantic relationships. i'm envisioning the whole thing as sort of a seasonlong continuation of the 3x07 bathroom scene, if that makes sense, and overall feeling super stoked for whatever flavor of Moment they go with. while i'm not opposed to him finding a girlfriend, i think now is the time to stress his platonic connections. it'll be interesting to see how that happens because he's clearly getting around quite a bit at the beginning of the season, in addition to wingmanning for robin <3

in terms of the nancy Situation you mentioned, i'm not worried at all. she was his first love, (inadvertently) roped him into monster-hunting hell, and then abruptly broke up with him while they were both attempting to process their trauma in vastly different ways. whether there are lingering Feelings or just complicated feelings (lowercase) it makes perfect sense that those feelings/Feelings are being explored in conjunction with steve's other personal growth points. plus it's my personal opinion that resurrecting stancy would be idiotic, and i have a higher opinion of the duffers than that, so. yeah!

tl;dr: not worried, very excited!
