Imagine the chaos of asakisuhiyoiku trying to coordinate Halloween costumes together. I can’t decide if it’d end up adorable or absolutely cursed, but the weeks leading up to Halloween where they’re frantically arguing/organizing/crafting/etc would be so fun to watch 🥲

By the time it came to actually making the costumes I think asaiku would cause so many problems and that hiyokisu would just have to take over completely, and after a while Hiyori would tell them to just sit on the couch and not touch anything please!! Poor baby hasn't quite learned how let others help yet but he'll get there by Christmas <3

I know Ikuya would secretly glue sequence into Asahi's hair, and have a bet with Kisumi about how long it takes for him to notice 😂

I haven't seen The Final Stroke movie yet, but I have heard it's supposedly a major win for asaiku and it makes me so, so happy (oh how I wish the fandom would finally stop sleeping on them; they're like, made for each other)!! Though, on the other hand, I guess the movie will also give me a huge existential shipping crisis, as I thought I was all for hiyokisu, but then the kaehiyo dynamics seems as something that would really be my thing.. and now I'm distressed about which should be the OTP..

i haven't seen it yet either but my friend told me there were a lot of great asaiku moments :) i have always been for asaiku so this makes me very happy.

yes, i think they're a really good match. they help each other grow as characters and I'm all about that.

i don't really ship hiyori with anyone (yet) but i heard kaehiyo is strong in the movie and i think kisuhiyo, ikuhiyo and ikuharu have moments too. and there's a cute scene with asahi ikuya and kisumi at the beginning.

overall, the ships that i heard are strong in FS part 1 are rinharu, makoharu, sourin, asaiku, natsunao, and kaehiyo.

OK so I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to Free!, that's why I thought I'd ask you (the expert in all things Free!).. is it true that there's been some brand new quality content for asaiku and hiyokisu ever since the last tv series ended? And if it is, then where exactly can I find it?

Yes! Although I’ve yet to see it myself, there has been some new asaiku and hiyokisu content recently. Last year a recap movie was released called “Road to the World” that covers the events of season 3 and adds in some new content as well, like the other two recap movies did. I haven’t seen RW myself, but from what I’ve heard, there’s a scene where Asahi & Ikuya go to the bathroom together and Ikuya teases Asahi in that flirty way that he does. There’s also apparently a chunk of interaction between Hiyori & Kisumi, though I’m fuzzy on the details about what exactly happens there. Any content is good content tho. As for where you can find it, the DVD has very recently been released and a few wonderful people are working on subbing it for western fans. It’s not out there yet, but I’m sure that when it is I’ll rb about it here if the subbers are cool with people rbing the post. (If not, then I’m sure you’ll be able to find it by checking tags.) also asfghjkl “the expert in all things Free!” bless you, you’re too kind...!
