Testing a dye technique for my variegated colors to hopefully speed things up and decided to pull one of my very first colors out of the vault. I figured if it all went wrong it wouldn’t be a color anyone remembered anyway. lol 😂. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I chose this color after watching a few of the Loki inspired show. If this works like I hope, this should shave some time off dyeing some of these colors which is always a good thing. We’re located 1.5 hours west from St. Louis, or 13 miles north of Sullivan, or halfway between St. Louis and Jefferson City. No matter which way you get here, we have lots of yarn for you to see and there are great places to visit nearby including Rosebud, MO and Hermann, MO is only 30 minutes away too. There are great places to eat nearby like The Bistro in Gerald located inside an old flour mill and we’re not far from many wineries as well. So come and visit us! Searching through rocks tonight in between dye sessions. This is the concentrate left from Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. I’m not enough of a practiced rock hound to know for sure if I’ve found one or not, but I have a fair few set aside that are maybes. So I’ll just have to wait and see. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I found a number of nice jaspers and agates that I’ve set aside to put through the rock tumbler. I really enjoy this process of focusing in and quietly sorting through the different stones. It’s a very therapeutic process. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you get a chance to go, I recommend it. Definitely checkout YouTube before going. It really helps. Also, if you know of any cool public mines to checkout, let me know. I’m not looking for anyone’s secret spots.
