I just speed read the entire Yona of the Dawn manga in about two weeks and have decided to take Hak and put him somewhere safe and peaceful with lots of snacks and rest because my poor boy... gets injured. so. much.
SUMMARY: Come for the drama about death and the bureaucracy of the afterlife, stay for Lee Soo-Hyuk catwalking down hallways like the stunning, elven supermodel he is.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Ghosts, shoulder pads, hanboks, memory jumping, octuplets, face-swapping, redemption, suicide prevention, badly-cooked fried chicken, rejected resumes, and sincere hope for the fate of the living.
HOT TAKE: This show is HEAVY. Like Content-Warning heavy. They lighten the vibe up a bit with a ‘problem of the week’ format (and Lee Soo-hyuk’s gorgeous face), but then knocks you over the head again with the most tragic 600 year love story you’ll ever watch.
