Kissing Prompts: Lazy Kisses [1]
Pairing: CronKri Rating: Fluff A hazy, lazy day. Just like most days had been for the seadweller named Cronus Ampora. He hadn’t been able to pull himself out of his cocoon, not wanting to get dressed. He had covered all of his mirrors, any reflective surfaces. His inner self-hatred, him hating who and what he was was taking a massive mental toll on him. And a physical one as well, which only made things worse.
He hadn’t responded to anyone’s messages either. His blinking palmhusk lay not that far from him. So many missed messages, missed calls. He didn’t care though. He was just wallowing in self-hatred. Self-pity. The foul stench of his own negativity and loathing stinging at his senses like a swarm of bees. God. He would kill to get this scent out of his head. Cleanse it from his body and rub it out of his eyes. Everything was just… Burning.
He closed his eyes and started to slip himself lower into his cocoon but stopped only a couple seconds in. His palmhusk was going off with a light, airy little jingle that he had set for one troll and one troll only. It was Kankri Vantas. It was Kankri Vantas! His fins wiggled when it finally hit him. He pushed himself up and grabbed his palmhusk without a second thought as he rushed to open his matesprite’s message. Oh god, he could just FEEL the warm embrace. The soft fabric of Kankri’s bright red sweater rubbing against his body. That sweet voice that always soothed him, comforted him and told him how much he loved him.
Cronus slipped back into his cocoon, feeling the green slime engulf a part of his body as he read the message, leaning his head against his cocoon’s rim gently. “G99d aftern99n Cr9nus. I see y9u haven’t returned any 9f my previ9us messages. Which I d9 n9t mind, y9u are y9ur 9wn tr9ll and theref9re have y9ur 9wn pers9nal matters t9 attend t9. 6ut I am getting w9rried f9r y9u, dear… It’s very unlike y9u t9 n9t talk t9 me f9r this l9ng. If I had d9ne s9mething 9r p9ssibly said s9mething that triggered 9r 9ffended y9u in any way, I w9uld like t9 6e inf9rmed s9 I d9 n9t make that mistake in the future. And if n9t myself wh9 p9ssibly triggered 9r 9ffended y9u in any matter, please d9 tell me wh9 did s9 that I may pr9perly address the situati9n and get everything settled f9r y9u. And please d9 n9t feel pressured t9 tell me if it’s s9mething extremely sensitive that y9u feel is t99 difficult t9 talk a69ut. I c9mpletely understand and will n9t press this t9pic any further. 6ut please, if y9u are ar9und. I am w9rried a69ut y9u, Cr9nus. Can y9u please message me when y9u see this? I just…. I d9n’t want t9 6e left in the dark when y9u’re n9t feeling well.”
Cronus breathed in as he read the message, feeling his bloodpusher soften at the words. Kankri always cared so much about him. Cared about someone so useless, someone who had such horrible self image issues and species dysmorphia. But Kankri never looked at those parts of him. He knew Kankri saw the beautiful things about him, the things Cronus could do and excel at. And that always made the seadweller’s bloodpusher skip a couple beats whenever Kankri would mention them.
Mention how talented of a singer and guitarist he was, how his voice always helped Kankri sleep at night. And despite some of the more crude and dirty words Cronus would put in some of his lyrics, Kankri still loved them. The mutant blood praised Cronus for his bravery, his confidence. The “charming smile” that he apparently had. And god, did he want to hear those words so badly. To hear Kankri compliment and praise him. To feel Kankri’s small, sun kissed hands cup his icy, tear stained cheeks.
Cronus pulled himself out of his cocoon and breathed out, cleaning the slime off his body before he walked over to his closet. He was only in his boxers at the moment. He wanted to look presentable, but he just grabbed one of his white t-shirts, his Violet sign printed on the front with some jeans and one of his many leather jackets. He dressed and went over to one of his mirrors. Oh right, Cronus sighed as he remembered that he covered them all up. And he really didn’t WANT to uncover them. As much as he wanted to fix himself up, put some gel in his black hair. He just… Couldn’t bring himself to uncover his mirrors.
Cronus took a breather before he walked out of his hive, pushing his hands into his jacket pockets. He hadn’t been out of his hive for a couple of days now, so it felt… Weird. Incredibly weird to feel the sand under his boots as he walked away from the ocean, heading towards the mainland to get to his matesprite’s hive. He wanted that sweet relief so badly. To feel Kankri’s arms around his torso. To cuddle and caress the smaller, hearing those adorable little clicking noises the other makes.
The walk to the mutant blood’s hive was long, but the long walk was always nice for him. Getting to clear his head, kick out some anxious thoughts before spending some quality time with his beloved. But right now? He just wanted to unload all of his anxious thoughts onto the mutant blood. Have Kankri sit down with him, hold his hand and just listen to him. That was one of the things Cronus loved the most about the other. How Kankri would just sit down with him, listen to him. Absorb his words and feelings, be able to talk to him and help him figure out his feelings.
Some odd minutes went by until Cronus reached the other’s hive. A simplistic, cottage styled hive with a cozy feel, black roof and frilly white curtains in front of the windows. Cronus has spent countless nights in this hive, far far away from his own. Away from the ocean, the sand, the bustling noises from within the depths. It was just soothing to watch the trees waver in the wind, hearing the gentle noises of the forest that surrounded the mutant blood’s hive. Kankri’s place was just more peaceful, soothing one might say. Or well, Cronus would consider any place away from the ocean to be soothing, but Kankri’s place? Top of the charts in his book! Cronus walked onto the porch and knocked on the door gently before shoving his hand back into his pocket. It wasn’t long until the door opened and a familiar, welcoming face greeted the seadweller. It was Kankri, his beloved little ray of sunshine. Cronus could feel his fins wiggle with delight when he saw the other, instantly opening his arms and moving forward for a hug that was happily returned by the smaller troll. Finally, sweet relief.
Kankri didn’t need to say much as he guided Cronus inside, closing the door behind them. He guided the other over to his sofa, sitting down with the seadweller and gently pushing some hair behind the other’s fin, frowning softly. “Cronus… Your hair-” Cronus held up his hand and nodded embarrassedly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah… I know. I uh… Haven’t been taking care of myself. At all… I’m sorry chief.”
“Oh Cronus…” The mutant blood just smiled softly and got up, starting to walk to his kitchen. “Come along, Cronus. Let’s at least get that hair of yours cleaned up a little, hm?” Cronus nodded and got up, stripping off his jacket and tossing it onto the sofa. He uh… Wasn’t entirely sure what Kankri was going to do about cleaning his hair in the kitchen of all places, but he’s learned never to question the mutant blood at this rate.
Kankri was folding up a towel and adjusting it on the edge of his sink, humming softly to himself while rolling up his sleeves. Cronus’s fins shifted upwards slightly in curiosity, watching as the other grabbed a chair and positioned it in front of the sink. “So uh… Whatcha doin’, chief? You know you can always ask me to grab somethin’ for ya.” “Oh I’m not doing this to grab something. Please take a seat while I retrieve a couple items from the bathroom.” And with that, Kankri walked past the Ampora and vanished towards his bathroom.
Cronus did as he was told, sitting down and leaning back a little. It still hadn’t clicked with him what was going on until Kankri walked back into the kitchen with some shampoo and conditioner. God did he feel stupid once it hit him, Kankri was gonna wash his hair for him! His fins went down in slight embarrassment, but raised up once more when he felt Kankri’s soft lips press against his cheek. Jeez, Kankri could just sense whenever he wasn’t feeling good… And GOD did he love that about him. “Would you like me to cover your fins while I wash your hair, Cronus? Or do you not mind if I accidentally touch them while cleaning you up?”
Cronus clicked his tongue and looked up at the other. “I don’t mind you accidentally touchin’ them, chief. Just be careful, ‘ight? You know what happens when a fish’s fins get touched too much.” Cronus snickered and playfully winked, making the other let out a tiny snort of laughter as he turned on the sink, checking the water to make sure it wasn’t too hot nor too cold. Cronus just relaxed and closed his eyes, feeling the warm water cascade down his head while Kankri’s fingers gently ran through his hair, getting all of the dirt and grease out of his hair.
It felt extremely nice. Like… A lot nicer than Cronus expected it to feel. Kankri’s slender, soft fingers working through some of the knots in his dirty hair, feeling him gently scrub the shampoo and conditioner in and out of his hair, getting right in there and making sure he could get as much of the dirt out as possible. This was all leaving Cronus a purring, fin wiggling mess. The scent of the shampoo was also doing wonders for him as well. Cherries and.. Vanilla? Cherries and vanilla, that was his best guess at least, he wasn’t entirely paying attention to the scent but more of the sensations against his head.
Cronus twitched a little when Kankri got around the base of his horns, and this twitch caused Kankri to stop and look down at him. Cronus just stuck his thumb up into the air to signal to the other that he was okay. It was just common for the base of a troll’s horns to be incredibly sensitive, so he wasn’t mad that Kankri seemed to have forgotten that fact at the moment. Kankri just nodded and went back to what he was doing. Some odd minutes passed until Cronus was sitting back up, having Kankri just pat his hair dry then pull out a blow dryer, lightly ruffling the seadweller’s hair to get it as dry as possible. Getting pampered like this was nice… Cronus really liked this.
