OMG I DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE PROPAGANDA (ok maybe I did but you know it wasn't really trying to, I am just bit of crazy about it) BUT I'M SO HAPPY YOU WANT TO GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!

Just preparing you, Dungeon Meshi is about food and monsters and AMAZING world building but is also dark and full of heavy themes and moments and its comedy is mostly based on black humour (and visual gags of course because that's what comics do) so if you're ok with these then absolutely go ahead 👏

So, if I understood correctly, you have never read manga and you're not sure how to read them or where to find them. Well, for starters, manga is the name we use for the comics made in Japan but nowadays manga has ended up being attributed mostly to the style of these comics (for example there are manga made in France). What makes manga unique though is the way of reading. Contrary to the western comics, Japanese are read from right to left and the speech bubbles follow the same logic. For example these are two pages of the first chapter of Dungeon Meshi, how they are originally and my guides so you can see them side by side:

As you can see there's no difference from the classic comics except the direction of reading. Years ago, when manga started to be distributed outside Japan, the publishing companies thought the best way to make them easier to read for the western audience was to print them opposite, like a mirror. Of course, this led to many misunderstandings and later the companies just added a reminder in the first page that "you reading the wrong way! Go to the last page!" and had guides similar to the ones I made now. Not gonna lie, at first it's kinda hard to get used to this way of reading but very soon you'll get so accustomed that automatically you'll read right to left once you spot a manga page.

As for where you can read it, there are many sites where you can read it for free (🏴‍☠️ is vital for all manga readers/anime watchers, believe me). You can google "dungeon meshi read online" and you'll get many results. Some good sites for manga are mangadex, mangahasu, mangakakalot, mangago etc. and you can even find apps (beware of adds and an app like that should be free, if there's charge either it's the official Crunchyroll or a fraud). However, I totally recommend buying at least one volume of the official release of a manga you loved, the feeling of the printed paper in your hand is something else.

Can 2 vampires have a child together? No. The body needs to change to accommodate a baby/pregnancy, and vampire bodies are incapable of change. If it was possible, Rosalie would've found a way

Can a vampire and a human have a child? Yes, certain pairings! If the human is capable of getting pregnant, and the vampire is capable of impregnating (which just means they were capable of impregnating as a human), then a vampire can impregnate a human. This is how Edward and Bella have a kid together, Renesmee :)

Will the child age? Yes, and this is a big problem in book 4. A vampire-human hybrid will age rapidly, pregnancy lasting about a month, and then speeding through human developmental milestone and stages, reaching physical maturity in 7 years (they're born with an adult mental capacity). At that point, however, the speed tapers off and they remain unchanging and immortal like a vampire--though they are not identical to vampires; their human attributes do affect them. For example: only male hybrids are venomous, their skin isn't as sparkly and then can blend in in sunlight, they have circulatory systems and normal eye colors, and they can live off both blood and human food. However, they are incredibly fast and strong like vampires, and smarter than any human.

Hybrids are, however, incredibly rare. It takes significant self restraint for a vampire to impregnant a human without losing control and feeding on them--and very very few (2 people) are even willing or motivated to try. And of 5 known hybrids, only 1 has been birthed without killing her mother (they have a habit of bursting through the stomach and feeding on their carrier); in order to survive, the carrier must be turned into a vampire as well, as there's simply no other way to survive the injuries of the birth.

And to be clear: a vampire-human hybrid is very different from an immortal child. An immortal child is a human child transformed the traditional way via venom, which completely freezes them in time as an unchanging child. This is highly illegal because immortal children cannot develop past their transformation age, cannot mature, and yet have all the strength and power of a normal vampire, making them incapable of protecting the secrecy of vampire existence. Imagine a toddler who can level entire villages with a temper tantrum. The technical age of a child in this situation is iffy, but I'd say generally 10 and below is bad.

I got the job at Maple Valley McDonald's!

I decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad I did. I came in for an interview and they had me talk to a different manager than the last time I went. She was much nicer and way more understanding.

I filled out paperwork, talked to the staff, and now I have the job! The manager asked me if I know how to work the cash register, and I surprised her with all the experience I already have. I told her I had six months experience at a McDonald's in Arizona. I mentioned that I maintained the lobby entirely on my own; taking orders, cleaning, restocking, etc. She asked if I worked drive-thru and I said that we found that I worked best in the lobby. They seemed to have acknowledged that I have valuable experience and I could be an important asset. I'm earning $15/per hour, which is actually 25¢ more than the starting wage for new employees.

I've already made a good impression on the customers. I helped a old man pick something up from the floor. He seemed to appreciate the teenager with headphones actually being genuinely nice and good mannered. I just didn't want him to have to pick that up when I could.

But yeah, I finally have a job and it's something I already know how to do. I start on Friday at 3:00pm. I do start school on Thursday though. But I think it'll be ok. I wish I had my driver's license so I could drive from school to work.

Now that I know I have financial stability coming soon, I feel comfortable saying that I can start on projects like the rest of the TF2 class emblems as enamel pins. I will still be doing commissions! Commissions will remain open unless things get busy again.

Thank you for supporting during this rough in-between jobs time period in my life. I genuinely appreciate all of the support my followers and friends have given me. I wanted to update everyone as well as thank everyone formally. So again, thank you for your continued support and I hope you guys will continue to support me through this somewhat certain future.

1) i’m not in pain anymore! i miraculously seem to have healed up overnight last night and was VERY careful all day today and managed not to tear myself back open, so hopefully i’m in the clear there without medical intervention, and i’m feeling good about going on my walk tomorrow!!

2) there’s an appliance guy coming to look at my broken washer tomorrow and either fix it or tell us it can’t be fixed so that we can get a new one in ASAP.

so very good things!!!!!!! i’m definitely looking forward to getting things “back to normal” and it’s a massive relief to see a light at the end of the tunnel here!!
