As all of you probably already know, Jared had a solo virtual panel last Sunday (on the 22nd). If by chance you haven’t seen it I highly recommend checking it out, as always I will be linking to it at the end of the post. For anyone curious, he did talk a bit about the final episode of Supernatural and about Sam’s ending.

Y’all know the drill so let’s just jump into my thoughts:

- I’m still not used to seeing him with his new short hair, and I love his longer hair so I hope he grows it out again someday, but it looks so good on him! It makes him look younger and so cute 😍

- Speaking of his hair, he’s not used to it either! He was asking for hair advice at the beginning of the panel because he doesn’t know how to manage it yet 😂

- He was asked what his 3 favorite episodes are and he said: the finale, Sacrifice and French Mistake. The Finale because he is a fan of storytelling and for him the finale answered a lot of questions and wrapped things up in a way that he found meaningful, poignant, and frustrating but in a wonderful way, Sacrifice because it’s another episode were we really get to see inside the boys and see their commitment to each other, and French Mistake because it was fun and it really stands out in his mind as an hour of tv that he doesn’t know if any other show could do.

- He said Sam and Cordell Walker would be friends, I’m soft 🥺

- Was asked his fav HP book, movie and spell. Book and movie are pretty much the same: Deathly Hallows, pt 2 in the case of the movie. Spell he said Expecto Patronum...then he said Sam and Dean were each other’s patronus...because when Sam was in trouble Dean was there and when Dean was in trouble Sam was there...I’m fine.... JARED PADALECKI WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

- I didn’t even have time to come down from those feels cause right afterwards he was asked his craziest, funniest bts moment he had on spn through all the years, and he gave two examples: when he was waiting for Tom to be born and when he and Jensen were waiting for the twins to be born.

I was not ready for this man to go into a full blown story about the day the twins were born. If you hear screaming, it's me losing my mind.

So, he mentions how when Tom was to be born he was anxiously waiting for G to message him and how after she did they filmed a couple more scenes before Clif drove him to Seattle. And he says that it was the same when Jensen’s twins were to be born, that everyone was glued to their phones and that it was a bit farther travel because D had the twins in Austin and so and I quote “we had to go way far away”. Then he told the story about how Jensen left his passport behind- I think this might be the first time we’ve heard Jared tell this story cause we’ve heard it from Jensen but I can’t recall Jared telling it by himself but basically for those that don't know the story goes that the day before D was to go to the hospital to have the twins, the boys were filming and Jared asked Jensen if he had his passport and according to Jared Jensen was all “I’m not the one who forgets things, of course I do” so Jared asked him as a favor that the next time they went to their trailers he just touch his passport, so they keep working and when they get a break they go to their trailers and when they meet back up...turns out Jared was right, Jensen did not have his passport.

They had been attending cons so he had left it in another bag thinking he was going to be taking that bag with him, which he didn’t, so they were stuck in Canada. Thankfully, they have friends who work in the Austin PD so they contacted them and they were able to help them deal with customs and immigration and everything, and Richard Speight who was directing the episode they were filming at the time was able to wrap up with them so it was hectic but they were able to get home in time which btw is exactly how he puts it “it was a pretty hectic moment but we got home in time.”

There’s just something about him telling this story completely unprompted, and the way he tells it, and the look on his face as he’s telling it, and that he says it was a happy ending, and the “we got home in time” like you can just tell this was an important moment for him. And not important in the way of it’s important to him because of his friend or that his friend be there on time, no, no, it was important to him that they both be there, it was important to him that they both be home. Like, hearing him tell it you can tell that wasn’t a hectic moment for Jensen only, it was for him as well; and him mentioning the twins being born along with his first born it just gives me all the feels. - Moving on, when talking about how his acting career got started, he got up to get a Teen Choice surfboard he had won a couple years ago and we got a very nice glimpse of padabooty. I was staring appropriately 🍑👀

- He was asked by a fan from Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷) which country Sam and Dean would like to visit on vacation, and he said Puerto Rico!!!!!!! 😭 He said if Sam and Dean could have found a demon or something on the island they would have been here in a snap- Jared baby we got ghosts, aliens, el chupacabra they could have found something 😂 Not gonna lie every time he said Puerto Rico I squealed a little 💓

- He shared that there were some ad libs in the finale, and unsurprisingly they were the best scenes; there was some ad libbing in the barn scene when Dean dies and the boys greeting to each other in Heaven was also ad libbed. Bless this boy for trying to give Dabb and Singer credit but the little additions, the meaningful ones that had thought put into it, that called back to the Pilot they were all the boys and really by the sound of it mostly Jared. Like, even Sam’s son telling Sam it was okay for him to die like Sam said to Dean in the barn was Jared’s idea.

Also this fucking softy, he started thinking about Dean’s death scene while answering this question and he got all emotional and misty eyed 😭

- Another Easter egg that the boys were the ones who added, was Sam keeping Dean’s watch, him and Jensen thought it would be something Sam would have kept and worn.

When talking about that Easter egg he said him and Jensen are big watch fans, I don’t know why I found that so cute.

- He was asked his feelings towards Sam’s ending, and he said he had about a year and a half to think about it cause he had obviously found out way before we did, and that at first it was a little jarring and abrupt but then he says how would you feel about anybody’s ending? and that if you were told how you’re gonna pass whether you’d ever be okay with it so for him no matter how Sam ended it would have been difficult for him to wrap his head around, but once he did digest and spend over a year with it he, personally, feels it was the best way to tell Sam’s story and that Sam tried to live his life the way Dean would have wanted him too; he said that he’s passionate about Sam’s ending being appropriate and Sam got the ending Dean fought for so for him he’s as happy as he can be with Sam’s ending. So....here’s the thing, I’m happy that he’s happy with how Sam’s story ended but- I don’t know, y’all know I have my issues with the finale and Sam’s ending is one of the big ones so it’s probably my own issues coloring my view of this but it sounds like while he’s happy with the ending Sam got maybe it’s not the ending he would have wanted and like much like Jensen he too had his struggles with the ending like it sounds like a mild version of what Jensen has mentioned: he struggled with the ending at first but then after a year of thinking about it he accepted it and finds that he’s as okay as he’s going to be with it and it’s an ending that’s still appropriate to the character so he's happy with it. But like I said, I have my own issues with the end and that’s probably coloring my view.

- He was asked about props that he kept and he shared that Jason, his stand in on the show made him and Jensen a very sweet gift. On the final day of filming he got two picture frames and made copies of the boys last call sheet, and framed them along with their tape marks.

- When talking about what it’s like to be both an actor and producer now for Walker he mentioned how he and Jensen sort of became, especially in the later years, creative producers on the set of spn even though they didn’t have the title. I will, forever remain, of the opinion that they should have been named or given producer credits for this show and that they deserved a proper seat at the table. Honestly, the writers of this show had no idea the treasures that they had with these men.

- He was asked script changes due to covid and he said the biggest change he knows of is that originally they were going to bring back a lot of the cast to be in a scene or two in Heaven. But he also says that maybe it ended up the way it should and that it was pretty magical storytelling that it all came full circle to being about the boys because it was always about Sam and Dean.

And I agree, it worked out for the best because I’m telling y’all I know it in my gut that if it hadn’t been for covid restrictions that ending would have been a carousel of characters and wouldn’t have been nearly as impactful or brother centered as it turned out to be.

He also once again mentioned getting everyone together for a reboot in a couple years, I'm telling y'all I wouldn't be surprised if there was a reboot in a couple years. But I hope they don’t bring back everyone if there is one...🙃

- Because he's not done attacking me he said that Sam's Heaven is mostly Dean 😭

Another thing that was Jared's idea was having Sam dressed as close as possible to how he was in the Pilot because to him Sam's happiest moment was getting back on the road with his brother 😭

- He said he and Jensen will definitely work together again! He hopes sooner rather than later, and said that Jensen has a standing invitation to do whatever he wants on Walker. He doesn't know if he'll be able to go up to Toronto since he's so busy with Walker but him and Jensen will find something somewhere.

This man has my number, if he's not coming at me with the brother feels he's coming at me with the j2 ones; this made me so happy to hear, I'm not surprised in the slightest but it still made me so happy to hear him say he and Jensen plan to work together again in the future and it's so cute how he said sooner rather than later like he worked with that man for 15yrs you'd think he'd be ready for a break but nope he already wants to work with him again and is looking at his schedule like 'umm what week can I sneak off to Toronto?' ❤

Now, if I may take a moment to be petty and say suck it! to those who thought the end of spn meant the end of j2's relationship.

- The panel ended with him giving some advice for anxiety. He shared that something that has worked for him is accepting it ain't going anywhere but you can learn to live with it.

And that was the panel! Like I said if by chance you haven't seen it I highly reccomend it, it was a great panel, he was all in his brother feels and he was mentioning Jensen left and right, and he looked adorable- honestly, like it just made me happy and gave me a needed cheer up.

Interview with Caitlin Alexander

Well folks, we're nearly at the end of our Square Carousel journey, and there are just two interviews left – both with two of our longest-standing members! Today, we reconnect with Caitlin Alexander, who has been with the Square Carousel Collective from its very beginning almost 10 years ago. Although we've featured an interview with her here in the past, it's been so long that we are due for an update! When she's not freelancing or performing her duties as an SC admin extraordinaire, Caitlin works tirelessly on her craft, creating prints, products, hand lettered posters, and artwork that embrace the earthy beauty of nature. With a strong focus on environmentalism and a sense of community, her artwork exudes a warmth and complexity that draws the viewer in and invites them to stay a while. Read on for her gems of wisdom!

Make Earth Cool Again

Q: Comparing your early work from your first few years after college to your most recent pieces, you've kept a lot of the textural, playful essence of your style while refining certain elements. Has your process changed much since those early days, and if so, what do you now do differently?

A: Such a great question straight out of the gate! My process has changed quite a bit since I graduated in 2011 (almost a decade ago... yikes!). In college, part of my crafted identity as a brand-new illustrator was my traditional use of gouache paint. I actually, in all honestly, was kind of a snob about it, because so many people in our department worked solely digitally. I felt that digital painting was a crutch, which I suppose can be true in some cases, and possibly even more-so when you're applying that to college students, but I certainly had no ground to stand on. In reality, my snobbery kept me from learning critical tools, as I never took Photoshop or Illustrator classes, aside from the one that was required for graduation. This hindered my work a great deal outside of college, given that illustration is so often paired with graphic design, and editing work for clients was so much more difficult traditionally. In 2013, I got a job designing t-shirts, and lied to the company, saying I knew how to use Illustrator. Luckily it was remote, so I was able to teach myself without anyone hovering over me, but that was so foolish, looking back, given the expensive education I got at SCAD should have been my opportunity to learn those things. I introduced digital work more and more over the years, and by 2016 or so, I was primarily a digital artist. Gouache will always have a place in my heart, and I will still break out the tubes occasionally, but working digitally has allowed me to grow so much more as an illustrator, with the ability to edit, paint with more detail, and having more control over color and layering.

Q: Of all the projects you've done in your professional career, which would you say is closest to your heart?

A: Probably the picture book I worked on a couple of years ago, titled "Cool For You." I had a lot of creative freedom for that project, and the subject matter of climate change is personally very important to me. Working with the author, Marianna, was really wonderful, as well.

Q: The Southwest influence on your work is pretty significant, and I think it's safe to assume you appreciate the majesty of the landscape in your region of the country. However, if you had to live in another state, which would you choose and why?

A: Funny you ask that, because I've actually considered moving from Texas to Colorado lately! The culture there is still very western, but I appreciate the liberal point of view (Texas has been grating on me lately, even living in Austin), and the landscape is even more stunning out there! I'd be close to so many inspiring National Parks. Plus, summers wouldn't be 8 months of the year and over 100 degrees for half of it!

Q: TV shows or movies?

A: Lately, Jordan and I have been watching New Girl on repeat. I'm not usually one to watch a show or movie over and over again, but I think we really just needed something light and fun, since life has been so very stressful over the last year.

Q: What's your favorite subject to draw?

A: This one is hard! I'm torn between people and landscapes. People are more fun and comfortable for me, and I could knock out a bunch of them quickly. Landscapes are always intimidating, and I'm nervous the whole time, feeling like I can't remember how I did it the time before. It's so strange, because it always ends up fine! But since I feel that way, the payoff is so much greater when I feel satisfied with the final result.

Q: What would a perfect day look like for you? A: I probably would have answered this totally differently pre-COVID, but in this current world we live in, I would absolutely love to have what used to be a normal, uneventful weekend day for me: Jordan and I would sleep in a little, see an early afternoon movie at the Alamo Drafthouse where we'd eat lunch, then spend the rest of the afternoon browsing used book stores and estate sales, and then meet our friends at the neighborhood coffeehouse for dinner and Trivia Night. I will be so happy to have that again.

Book Lover Ladies series- The Book Clubbers

Q: What have you learned from your years at Square Carousel, whether organizing behind the scenes or as a contributor?

A: Oooof!! So SO many things! Wow... well, I'll go with the most obvious first: as a member, I learned how to continue to make portfolio-worthy work, even without jobs coming in. That was definitely the most valuable thing about Square Carousel, in my opinion, and hopefully what everyone else got out of it, as well. It can be so hard for fresh graduates to keep up that momentum, and the group saved many of us from becoming stagnant. In terms of running the group... it's been rewarding, but honestly very difficult throughout the years. There have been many ups and downs, and finding the right balance between structure and patience can be extremely challenging. I'm super proud of Elizabeth and myself (OG members!) for keeping it running through the messes-- we've been through some shit together! My major takeaway is the importance of diligence. Projects, businesses, organizations-- they all need at least a couple of people who just keep chugging along, always maintaining the structure (schedule and accountability) and balance (rules and lighthearted encouragement).

Q: As the readers are aware, Square Carousel drawing to a close soon. Do you have any plans for what you'll do with the extra time you'll have after our tri-weekly challenges end?

A: You know, I actually haven't thought about this too much yet. It's probably because I'll just fill it with more self-imposed projects and deadlines, since I was able to bring that skill I learned in Square Carousel into the rest of my career a while ago. (Or more real jobs! That would be ideal!) I'll miss the community though, and hope to find a way to keep that aspect of freelance life alive. Instagram friends, anyone?

Q: What's your quirkiest habit?

A: Jordan told me recently that he found it weird and endearing that I joke-sing to my cats in the kitchen about really stupid stuff... so probably that! Official Cat Lady© status achieved.

Q: What advice would you give to a newbie illustrator just starting out today?

A: I'd give them the hard advice that our professors didn't really give us in school: there is no way this is going to work out for you if you're not incredibly committed to pursuing it. Now, don't get me wrong-- I'm not telling anyone to have an unhealthy work/life balance because I think that's a toxic sentiment. But you have to keep illustrating and illustrating and illustrating, and arguably more importantly, keep networking and networking and networking. You're going to be rejected or ghosted more often than not, but if you really want it to work out, you're going to keep doing it anyway. And taking critiques if industry folks offer them, to grow and become better. Don't become stagnant in those critical building years.

Dream Date: Imagine this: a nice, plush couch, covered in down pillows and fluffy blankets. There is a fire in the brick fireplace, the wood smoke combines with the scent of Nag Champa incense and the homemade treats that cover the low table next to the couch. There are brownies, bread rolls, cheeses, bowls of fruit, dipping sauces, cakes, sandwiches - a whole feast of my favorite foods. My partner and I would cuddle up on that couch, listening to my favorite symphonies on the record player in the corner and talking for hours. This isn't really a first date thing, more like an established relationshil date, but god I'd love to just spend an afternoon surrounded with my favorite things and my favorite person.

Do I have a crush?: Not really. There are people I find very very attractive (a friend, Sam Kiszka, Duff Mckagan in his 20s, Lucy Lui) but nobody that I'm actually romantically and sexually into.

Hobbies: Swimming, observing nature, browsing Pinterest, daydreaming, writing, reading, making art, singing, listening to music, love to cook

My favorite time of day: late afternoon, right before the sun sets. I'm usually free to do what I like, the temperature starts to drop, I can watch the sun... it's nice

If I could choose what I looked like, anything, what would it be?: I want tattoos, and more piercings, I'd love to change my hair color again - it's been natural for awhile but I think I want either burgundy or bright blue. WINGS! I kind of want giant, strong fairy wings, and maybe glowing eyes, a forked tongue, and tattoos that move and change (kinda like Maui lol)

Am I romantic?: Yeah, I'd say I am. I love to treat people, friends and significant others, but I'd be especially affectionate and romantic for a partner. I'm constantly buying gifts and things that remind me of them, cooking for them, planning dates and buying tickets for things I know they like, quietly taking care of stuff I know they need to do, cuddling, complimenting... I love to shower my partner in affection 24/7

My favorite kind of weather: Late Autumn, generally. About 55ºF, cloudy but not raining, windy

What do I like to talk about?: Lol I talk a whole lot and I've probably talked about everything at some point. One of my close friends and I particularly love to debate religion, mythology, magic, history, and the intersections of those. We also regularly plan heists and crimes lmao

My turn-ons: Long eyelashes, pouty lips, dirty hands (motor oil, paint, flour, etc), sarcasm, seeing someone get excited about something, compassion, casual physical affection

My turn-offs: Nastiness without a reason, knees (I just think knees look weird idk), Trump supporters, 100% pessimism (I understand being depressed or doubtful or being generally a pessimist, but if you adamantly refuse to see anything in a good light and try to ruin it for others f u c k y o u)

If I got a tattoo, what would it be and where?: ohhh I want tattoos so bad but I'm saving up and I'm not certain about some yet.... but I know that I'm getting a tree of life matching with my mom, I want mushrooms, pine trees, lavender, wildflowers (all for personal reasons). I'd also like to make maybe a charm bracelet of sorts with little charms for my favorite bands, books, movies, and other peices of media. I know that interests change and I might not like something in 30 years, but I see my life in periods of interests and I want to catalogue the things that shaped me

My pets: I have 3 cats - Pumpkin Pie, Lady, and Sweetheart

My dream job: I just want to live a free life doing what I want. I want to grow my own food for the most part, and raise animals, and paint, and write, and play music, and go on random adventures, go antiquing, decorate my home from my travels, learn without expectations - I don't want to exchange a fulfilling life for financial security from some mundane modern job.

My dream place to live: Secluded, in the forests of Oregon (or maybe Pennsylvania idk) on the bottom third of a mountain, on my own little farm

My dream vacation: I just wanna go explore historical landmarks and buildings

My dream house: A beautiful historical house -- like an 1870s American farmhouse, or a craftsman cottage, or a Victorian painted Lady, or maybe a New York brownstone -- filled with antiques and records and books and artifacts that I've collected. I LOVE antiques so much, everything would be of fine craftsmanship, it would be lavish and inviting and packed with interesting items at every turn (I want my house to be a curios shop lol) I also want a big ass kitchen and nice woodwork, I literally get horny over original built ins

My piercings: Sadly, I only have my standard ear piercings right now, but I think I'll get more soon. A nose ring, eye brow bar (yes I know that's so 2000s but I like them), probably 4 more on each ear, navel, nipples

If I had kids, what would I name them?: I love older, interesting names, so - Euphemia, Hartford, Monroe, Malory, Louise (me lol), August, Fredrick

My worst traits: I'm incredibly stubborn; I love talking to people but I'm awkward; lazy and don't care; I'm a bit of a collector/hoarder; I bottle up any anger or sadness I feel so I don't inconvenience others

My best traits: I love to give and help; I try to make people comfortable around me/in my home; I have excellent taste; I appreciate quality, culture, and creativity; I have many interesting interests that I'm eager to share and learn more about; I'm very creative

My worst fear: a painful death - I'm not afraid of dying, even though I'd rather not, I just don't want it to hurt

What do I want to eat right now?: Well, considering that I just ate my first bit of solid food in 3 days and immediately had to run to the bathroom... nothing

My favorite vacation memory: *blushes* my first kiss AND nearly my first time (we went like halfway): making out with this dude, son of my mom's friend, at my family cabin

My favorite city: I really don't know. Timber, OR, let's say

My favorite social media platform: Tumblr or Pinterest (does that count?)

My favorite article of clothing: My leather motorcycle jacket. I can't actually ride a motorcycle (trying to remedy that because *sexy*) but I got it a few years ago and it makes me feel so fucking badass. It's heavy, about 15 pounds of good quality leather, has lots of secret pockets in the lining and some cool looking zippers and studs, but nothing crazy. It's hella warm and comfy, I wear it everyday it's cold enough to

Do I play any sports?: pfft no. I like to swim, and I'm interested in baseball and tennis, but I suck at them and also I just don't like team sports

My favorite meal: What I order when I go to Buffalo Bills - a pesto/feta/mozzarella/Italian sausage/basil/tomato/garlic pizza, with homemade potato chips and chunky blue cheese dressing for dipping. If I had room, I'd finish with Marionberry cheesecake pie from Sherri's (but I am incredibly sick and have no faith in getting better enough so I feel like I'll never be able to eat like this again)

What am I excited for?: The winter holidays! I'm atheist, so Christmas is all about the personal stuff and non religious family traditions for me. I love the decorations, the music, seeing my family, baking, giving and receiving presents, it's all just so fun

What am I not excited for?: Cleaning my room, it really really needs it though. Also just continuing to live like this. I'm not suicidal, I'm just in a lot of pain constantly and I don't know what to do

When was the last time I cried?: an hour or so ago, I'm in loads of pain right now

What is something I hate about the world?: There's too much to choose from

What is something I love about the world?: children and nature

What kind of sleeper am I?: A weird one lol. I can't lay on my stomach for more than 15 minutes without it making me incredibly nauseous for the rest of the day, but it's also my favorite way to sleep cause its comfy somehow... I can't lay on my back without a pillow either, 30 seconds in and the nerves pinch so bad I'm screaming. I snore, and I sleep deep, but it takes a long time to fall asleep and usually only beeping or banging noises wake me up??? Like I said, I sleep weird

How long would I survive in a zombie apocalypse?: I really don't know. I have some skills and the drive to learn to fight, but I am currently, as I'm sure y'all can tell, very sick and I don't think I'd be able to live with so much movement and so little medicine

Am I trusting?: Generally, I probably trust too much but I'm not gonna stop

What fictional characters do I identify with?: there are many I like but none I identify with

Problems I'm dealing with: my health and whatever painful sickness is wrecking me, figuring out what to do with my life, saving money, getting my anxiety under control, getting the house to actually heat up because I'm cold as fuck

• I would say it was dumb, stupid and streamly dangerous but when I was 16 a friend and I went to some guys house in a very weird neighborhood and lied to our parents about it and only 1 other friend new (also our taxi couldn't find the house). We meet those two guys at a friends party and they said that they were throwing one and that we should go, and our dumb selfdestruting alcohol hunting minds though, why not. It was not a party. It was just a hang out with us and one other guy and to this day I dont know how we left at 7am (the only way to get out of there was the first bus because uber wasn't a thing yet and me and my friend were to scared of what kind taxi driver we would find) unharmed and not sexually harassed, given that one of the dudes that our friends new more hated me for a few months for not putting out for him, cause you know, men.

[FAN REPORT] NEWS NEVERLAND TOUR 06/10/17

OMG GUYS I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SO LUCKY I WON TICKETS FOR NEWS NEVERLAND TOUR! I still can't believe I have seen my top 3 JPop groups 🙈 I'm so blessed guys huhuhu I'm so happy with this tour because this album is the best album they've released, ever! In my opinion of course! But yes I'm so happy because of that! One of the most creative and amazing concerts I've ever been to! The effects and the story and the theme! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Bit of a background (to those who don't care, y'all can just skip to the report lol), I've been a NEWS fan since 2008 and they've always been one of my top groups. I was shocked when they lost members and VERY devastated when they had their hiatus but I still remember when the timer for their long awaited comeback appeared omg I was freaking out and was so excited and now finally I saw them live!! Pre-concert: So I won two tickets for this concert so I took one of my best friends with me and it was so surreal like I didn't feel like I was going to see them live..... Until the tickets came. AND OMG! THE TICKETS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! Okay fast forward to the concert day! Omg so we went in the dome at around 5pm and right when we came in Mr. Impossible was talking and people just started clapping. I didn't catch what he said though so I don't know what happened omg lol. Anyway, so my SEAT was at the second floor!!! I was close! So lucky considering it was the dome hahaha but like the sound system thing was in front of me so that was sad but it didn't bother me during the concert as much as I thought it would. The stage was awesome! There were stem like things in the main stage and the main screen had like the word NEVERLAND bouncing in the screen hahaha then the design of the stage were like clockwork things! Above the screen was the word NEVERLAND again XD HAHAHA LOVE THIS CONCEPT I SWEAR! In the little screens were sort of a deformed clock? Yeah and then in the center stage was a huge KEY!!!! It was in the middle rotating and the spotlight was on it! So beautiful! And finally all over the dome there were huge bubble like things with letters that form NEVERLAND! At around 5:20 I went to the toilet but THE LINE WAS SO DAMN LONG. In the end I didn't get to go cause I didn't want to be late for the concert. When I came back in the dome, my timing was so bad cause Mr. Impossible was talking again but it was the last bit again so hahahaaha cry I didn't see it again. But after a few minutes it showed again thank god! So Mr. Impossible was just giving a few reminders and then he introduced the 7 elements, when it came to the 6th element, Dance, we were taught a dance hahah it was fun! Then finally introduced Love and that was that! Then 5mins before the concert, the bubbles were moving!! And then it started FINALLY! *NOT 100% everything and NOT 100% sure because sometimes I couldn't concentrate cause I really had to pee the whole time lol *If I don't say much on a song, it means they just sang it normally (amazingly) and nothing else really happened* Starting video: Okay so it was the same video as the one that was in the DVD of the album! Hahaha watching it again though was fine! To those who haven't watched it yet, it was just showing NEWS make the key to NEVERLAND and then giving the key to a young girl. So after the video the Jrs came out carrying a train? Or like pieces that when put together forms a train Hhaha yeah and they went to the center stage and the elevating stage in the middle went up! When this was happening, Mr. Impossible was welcoming us to NEVERLAND! And then the stage went down again and the first song played OMG I told my friend that NEVERLAND would be the perfect opening song for this tour, not just because it's titled NEVERLAND, but because the sound of it and the lyrics! It's just so... opening song worthy lol! SO I WAS REALLY HOPING THAT THAT WAS THIER OPENING SONG! And I was so happy that it was!!!! IT WAS THE PERFECT OPENING SONG! AND OMG THE DANCE TO THIS WAS SO COOL! Like they were kind of slowmotion dancing? Don't know how to explain it but it was awesome! (they were doing this during the chanting(?) of the 7 elements) And they were waving a flag too! Too cool for words omg 😭 they were harmonizing quite well too!! NEXT SONG WAS アンドゥトロワ!!! OMG when they sang this I was so happy! One of the best songs of the album in my opinion! And the dance was awesome too! 😭😭 We were shouting the Hey parts and it was super fun! But omg they didn't sing the whole song which was so sad So after, Mr. Impossible was talking again and he was introducing the NEWS members and saying that they each guard a gate (North, East, West, South) and then they came out in the main stage and sang Emma! They had the Emma PV costumes and the mics and they sang the whole song! It was fun!! Next song was Kaguya! THERE WAS A KOYASHIGE MOMENT GUYS!!! THE TWO OF THEM ARE MY BIASES SO I'M SUCH A KOYASHIGE TRASH! WHILE THEY WERE WALKING TO THE CENTER STAGE THEY WERE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER WITH KOYAMA'S ARM AROUND SHIGE I CAN'T!!!! But like huhuhu Super sad they didn't dance this with umbrellas! In the end they went to the center stage but like they went to the elevating stand(?) and yeah they stayed there and sang it there! Next song was 恋祭り and OMG if I had known this would be part of the setlist I could've bought the towel 😭😭😭 I WAS JUST USING THE PENLIGHT IN THE END HUHUHU but it was still super fun ! And the screen was so cute!! Like fireworks and all! Really felt like a festival!! they came down from the elevating stands at the end and I think this was when a KoyaTego moment happened? (Or was it in Touch? Omg I'm not sure) SUPER CUTE I CAN'T Next song was DTF AND OMG!! Like my reaction was "OH! お久しぶり！" THEY WERE HAVING SO MUCH FUN!! HAHAHA there were so many interactions like omg I think it was when Massu was singing, the other 3 were suddenly hugging him so tight he wasn't able to sing anymore HAHAHAHAH they were having so much fun and it was so nice seeing them all be like that! Immediately after was 4+FAN!!! AAAAH SO HAPPY THIS WAS SUNG! ONE OF THE BEST CONCERT SONGS IN MY OPINION!! Cause it's so fan involved!! Like fans are singing the wowow's and they(we😏) are claping!!! I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO DO IT!! AND I SHOUTED もういっちょWITH ALL MY HEART!! They were saying their welcomes to us in the end stage before singing the final chorus and OMG I LOVED THIS STAGE BECAUSE IT WASN'T JUST THEM HAVING FUN! THEY WERE HAVING FUN WITH US!!! During the last clapping part they were going to the main stage again and then another video was shown So this VTR has the girl again from the first video and she went to the North gate first guarded by the Ray element! Then Shige came out! He was at the center stage! And he just fell flat on the floor! Then あやめ played! Okay, so Shige's always been trying to steal my heart from Koyama. And in this stage...he definitely did just that! It was the most emotional, beautiful, powerful, and just the most lasting-impression-stage I have ever seen! Like omg he was singing while interpretive dancing and I SWEAR I COULD FEEL ALL THE EMOTIONS WHILE SEEING HIM THERE! His voice was so PERFECT AND WHEN HE RAPPED, THAT MOMENT HE BECAME MY ICHI! THERE WERE SO MUCH FEELINGS I JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN IT ANYMORE! So while he was dancing and rapping, suddenly the elevating stand was moving! I thought omg the staff made a mistake! Why did they ruin Shige's solo 😭 but guys, I was dead wrong!!!! After rapping, SHIGE WENT UP THE ELEVATING STAND!!! Like the elevating stand was slanted like this -> / lol so like he stopped midway and was just at the slanted part and OMG HE WAS SINGING THERE AND I JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN THIS STAGE SO MUCH! SO MUCH PASSION AND EMOTION AND LOVE AND TO THINK SHIGE WROTE AND COMPOSED THIS?! It was definitely all him ☺️😭💕 I can't wait to watch the DVD, this is the stage I'm looking forward to the most! So after Shige's solo, the Jrs were left and they just continued to dance with an awesome background music if I might add 💕 and after they danced, Brightest came on!!! NEWS was back at the main stage! At the start, when Koyama was singing, there was no spotlight on him :(( so I only saw his figure :( while the other members had spotlights huhu kinda unfair 😭 but yeah still one of the best stages of the con! Like it lives up to its name! Like the stage was filled with awesome light effects like different colored laser lights and it matched with the song so much 😭 AND OMG DIFFERENT COLORED FIRE CAME OUT AND IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! Like green fire and blue fire! It was awesome 😭 anyway, back to NEWS! OMG I WASN'T OVER SHIGE'S SOLO AND HE COMES OUT WEARING A HOODIE WEARING THE HOOD AND OMG I COULDN'T SEE HIS EYES AND I JUST THOUGHT THAT HE WAS SO FREAKIN' MYSTERIOUS AND SO SEXY 😭😭😭 I CAN'T WITH THIS GUY SOMEONE HELP (No I don't need help, no one save me please hahaha) 😂💕💕 and then Tego omg hahaha being the flirt he is, he said "Now dance" right before the kind of like solo edm sound thing in the song HAHAHA and omg it was just an awesome stage! Next one was シリウス! And omg love this song 😭😭😭😭 had so much fun singing the wo o o ow parts of the song! I think this was the time they got into the little carts. And OMG KOYAMA AND TEGO WERE THE ONES NEAR MY SIDE!!! I SAW THEM CLOSE!!! I couldn't see Koyama that well but Tego omg guys TEGO IS SO HANDSOME!! Next song was Snow Dance and omg!! I wasn't expecting a B-SIDE SONG! And Snow Dance especially is such a great b-side!!! But I was slightly disappointed cause Tego's tone in his part in the chorus was lower than the original audio? Like I know it's hard and I understand that but it sounded better high 😭 and huhu Massu's voice cracked here 😔 I hope he doesn't feel bad about it 😭 BUT IT WAS STILL AWESOME ANYWAY! That's how good NEWS is 😉 Next again, I was so shocked cause it's another b-side! スノードロップ!! It was beautiful 😭😭😭 B-sides of Emma are awesome!!! And OMG THE HUGE SCREEN IN THIS SONG WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!! Like it showed a street with like lamp posts and snow falling! It was so beautiful! And their singing was perfect! And at the end they transferred to the main stage again. Next one was Touch!! OMG I WAS SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS CAUSE I LOVE THE CHOREO FOR THIS AND THEY DID IT WITH THE JRS AAAAAAH SUPER CUTE!! Another video now and now the girl is going to the East gate guarded by the Water element! THEN ニャン太 WAS UP! AND THE FIRST THING WE SAW WAS A PICTURE OF KOYAMA AND NYANTA 😭😭😭😭💔OMG I was feeling so so so emotional in this stage. And I felt Koyama struggle with this song too, I really felt his love for Nyanta 😔 like his voice was hesitant and I just really wanted to give him a hug and just like that he was again my ichi, cause I really love this man 😔 I was so emotional and almost cried after the 1st chorus but then suddenly, they skipped the 2nd verse and chorus and just went straight to the last chorus! I was a little pissed cause why was it cut short?! So yeah I didn't cry but I was also fine with it cause I didn't wanna see Koyama suffer anymore Next one is 恋を知らない君へ! They were scattered on the runway between the center and main stage! I was so overflowing with emotion omg in this stage I was able to confirm that all their voices are perfection! Like OMG SHIGE IMPROVED SO MUCH AND I JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE HIS VOICE OMG! But like when Koyama's part came up, his voice was shaking and I really thought he was gonna cry 😭 but omg so happy they sang the whole song for this! Then like sometime in the song they all went to the end stage and the stage elevated! Next was フルスイング and omg this song! When they sang this I suddenly remembered their performance of this in Utsukon and I couldn't help but be so affected with this song 😭 Then when it was Koyama's part, he finally let out all the feelings he's been keeping inside, so he cried and omg I wasn't able to handle it like I was about to cry too cause I couldn't handle seeing Koyama so hurt but before I could cry, the song ended and some funky song came up and I was laughing like omg?? After such an emotional song comes a high energy sound? HAHAA like the timing was kinda bad but I guess they wanted us to enjoy the concert So after the funky sound(they already walked back to the center stage), 恋のABO was up!! And OMG HAHAHAH They were having so much fun I love it!!! AND I SAW KOYAMA WAS FINE NOW! So I forgave the abrupt change of mood hahaha omg I was finally able to shout it guys! I absolutely loved shouting Hey A Hey B Hey O and AB!!!!! SOOOO AWESOME! And yeah they were having fun! And omg MASSU!!! He slapped his hip in his first part in the song! 😂💕💕 so cute hahaa (yes Massu, I do not find you sexy. You are cute!) Haha and then Tego let us sing the bridge part of this song and OMG I SANG IT WITH ALL MY HEART! This is absolutely a special song for me cause this song is when Koyana became my bias HAHAHAHAH Next song was サマラバ ! IT'S SUCH A LOVELY SONG!!! And like I was shocked again cause like another b-side song!! Continue this please Johnny's! I need to hear b-side songs live more!!! I think they also rode the little carts again? I'm not sure though but I think I remember seeing them riding them.... And of course Tego said something Tego-like again HAHAHA I think the lyric was "Angel" if I'm not mistaken but yeah his voice went all high and like for fun HAHAHA cutie omg Next song was NYARO!!! YAAAAY!!! Omg guys they did the heart pose that they do during NYARO!!!!! Super happy they still do it twice! 😘 Loved shouting Nyaro, More, and Summer!!! AAAH AWESOME CONCERT SONG! They were in the center stage now again if I remember correctly! And again Tego did something 😂 he did this super weird laugh huihuihui(?)/hihihi(?)/hehehe(?) After his part in the bridge and it was SUPER FUNNY HAHAHAHAHA and of course they were all having fun!!! Then immediately they sang ORIHIME!! Super nice! It's one of their best songs omg! But again it was cut and I was so disappointed with that 😭 I wanted to hear the whole song!!! After ORIHIME, Mr. Impossible was talking again and yeah I really wasn't listening to what he was saying cause I felt the need to pee again so yeah I was not listening at all HAHAHA BUT Koyama suddenly spoke and it was the MC!! So MC! (Not 100% accurate cause they were all talking at the same time and my knowledge of Japanese please hahaha) Koyama was just asking if we missed them and like he asked if we missed Shige, then asked if we missed Massu, then asked if we missed Tego(he called him Tego-chan kyaaaa), and finally he asked if we missed Kei-chan HAHAHA CUTIE and then he was like Thank you 💕💕💕 then yeah while they were walking towards the main stage, they were kinda bullying Shige hahaha cause like omg Shige is super cute!!!! AAAAH like he's referring to himself as Shige(from a third person's point of view HAHAH) Like instead of Boku or Ore, he was using Shige HAHAHA CUTIE OMG And like I think they were bullying him cause when we said we missed NEWS, Shige was saying "They missed me" hahahahhaha like not including the other 3 members HHHAHAHAHA then like after that, it was Massu who was bullied now HHHA like Koyama was saying how it was hot today and all and then Shige just kind of like puts his jacket on Massu HAHAHA then Koyama followed and put his jacket on Massu too! Super funny hhaha like they were also saying how Massu designed the costume (aka the jackets they were putting on him) and he kind of posed for us HAHAHAH and I think they were saying he looked liked someone in the choir? Cause Massu just like started singing choir style XD Then, Shige was being bullied again 😂😂 (he was still referring to himself as Shige hahaha he did this until the end of the con but omg Tego used "atashi" 😂 love him huhuh) but yeah I really couldn't understand what they were bullying Shige about?? And like they were also bullying Koyama I think XD HHAHAH I didn't know what about honestly but like omg Tego started singing choir style again and Massu followed HAHAHA I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON HAHAHAHA then Massu said that their MC is "no plan" HAHAHA LOVED IT! Then ummm I think back to bullying Shige? 😂 then umm they mentioned Massu designing HSJ's costume in their DEAR concert and asked if he was gonna design something else and omg I forgot who mentioned it but he said Massu should design every (Koyama's a news reporter there) and IT'S super funny Koyama's reaction!! Hahaha then I think they suggested a radio show too???? Like Massu design the costume for that HAHAHAHAHAH SUPER FUNNY!! Then omg guess what ahhahaha back to bullying Shige HAHHAA this time about his book! HE HAS A NEW BOOK GUYS! I think it's a sequel to Burn???? But yes super cute! It's his 5th book guys!!! And Shige did (was forced to do actually) like a ummmm he shouted "BURN" and did a like open arn action thing? HAHAHA FUNNY and like Tego asked if he could ask what the climax was and Shige called him バカ! 😂😂😂😂 and like I think the members were asking him about it more and Shige kept on repeating "BUY IT!" SUPER FUNNY HUHUHU then they talked about Koyama being one of the 24hrTV personalities! And Koyama was sharing how he couldn't believe it at first, cutie huhu and then Tego asked about the 24hrTV shirt design and ask if it was Massu who did it and Koyama said no and Tego pointed to himself and Koyama immediately said no too XD then omg Tego said "confirm it!" Then Koyama did "I don't need to confirm it!" HAHAHAHAH FUNNY then they talked about Koyama's work with Maru in おたすけJAPAN! And they talked about their VS Arashi guesting (I think) hehehe (I watched it hehehe) then I think this was the part they said Tego had something too? But I didn't understand what it was 😭 but they asked Massu what he had after the con and he had nothing omg HAHAHA coming to the last part of the MC, they asked the 4th floor people if they can see NEWS and omg Shige was super funny cause when he was talking, the train smoke thing accidentally made a sound and they were all laughing cause it was Shige time hahahah and then they said he should try again cause they won't actually push it accidentally again so Shige talked again and it sounded again! 😂😂😂 I love the staff omg and it continued on and Mr. Impossible was talking AND SHIGE KEPT ON TALKING HOPING THE STAFF WOULD ALREADY CLOSE IT BUT NO HAHAHA THEN SHIGE WAS LIKE "OHMAYGAD. シゲ信じられない" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA I LOVED THIS PART WILL NEVER FORGET THIS 😂😂 and like someone (I think Koyama?) said okay let's just go back, the train sounded already, just go back hahaha then while everyone went backstage already, he stayed behind. HAHAH he was carrying a huge basket and was struggling with it and when he finally had the perfect hold, he just stood there smiling at us 😍😍😍😍😍 then he said "every" (Promoting the show lol) HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAI LOVE THIS GUY hahaha then he just like asked us to stand and get ready for the next song What I loved about the MC was that I could totally see their friendship and their personalities! For example, I love Tego's and Koyama's laugh! HAHAHAHA LIKE STOP GUYS YOU ARE ALL TOO CUTE Next was another VTR and another gate. By this time I figured out that the VTR represents a member's solo 😅 yeah I just figured it out then HAHAHA Now it was the West gate guarded by the Sound element! Btw, the girl was still there hahah she was in all VTR's I think Then Massu came out on the main stage with a mic stand and sang FOREVER MINE! Omg MASSU'S VOICE WAS(IS) BEAUTIFUL! The screen was cool, it was in black and white but omg Massu's voice! My eyes were closed almost the whole time! (When my eyes close, it means the music is so perfect I have to give all my attention to it, meaning I have to black out all other senses that may cause distraction) I LOVED IT 😭💕 MASSU I LOVE YOU Next omg Silent Love!!! This song is what I live for 😱😱😱😱😱 the other members appeared at the center stage! Shige's voice at the start of the song wae perfect and OMG MASSU'S RAP 😭💕 CAN HE NOT, HE WAS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD LIKE MASSU RAP MORE PLEASE! And like the song was longer! With lots of adlibs from Tego and rap bits from Massu! Next was ミステリア!!!! From the start, Tego's voice when he sang the first ミステリア 😱😱😱😱😭😭💕💕💕💕💕 I think they were back at the main stage now and omg they also cut this song! I was like thinking how many songs have they cut now ugh Next was Byakuya!!! AAAAH THIS SONG!! It was so fitting with the concept!! As in Loved it!!! They went to the center stage now and omg fireworks and colored fire everywhere (from the center stage) and like I think this is the part where one fire didn't go out? It was super scary and NEWS was so professional about it! ☺️ but yeah like I think this is that part? Thankfully when the next song came out, it was already put out! Next song was さくらガール!!! OMG THE STAGE FOR THIS GUYS THE STAGE FOR THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL!!! LIKE OMG IT WAS THE PERFECT SHADE OF PINK AND LIKE SAKURA LIGHTS ON THE ROOF AND AAAH SOOOO PERFECT! The big screen had like an animated video of a girl walking along a path surrounded by Sakura trees! It was pretty huhuhuhu so yeah they sang it PERFECTLY (Massu though 💛💛) and like paper Sakura petals were falling and my friend managed to get one for me!! Another VTR and I knew it was time for Tego's sinful solo HAHAHA and super sinful it was omg I'm coming started with Tego in the center stage, on a bed. Omg Tego why HAHAHAH then he got up and sang with a mic stand and omg the whole stage was just so wow 😱😍🙈 HAHAHAH there was even a point where he went back on the bed and like pretended there was a girl there with him HAHAHA and yeah Tego why ahhaha I'm too innocent for this HAHAHA BUT HIS VOICE WAS AWESOME! Tego can work songs from ballad to rock 💕💕 Immediately after was BLACK FIRE and the other members appeared at the main stage and Tego was so cute, he was too fast in the first part 💕💕 but OMG NEWS NEEDS TO SING MORE ROCK SONGS LIKE HOLY SH*T EVERYONE'S VOICE SUITED IT SO MUCH AND FOR ONE SONG AT LEAST, I WAS AT A ROCK CONCERT! And Massu was wearing sunglasses ermergerd 💕💕💕 And omg バンビーナ was next and AAAAH お久しぶり！！It was still as sexy(?) as ever HAHAAH And they were walking to the sides of the main stage 😭 lucky second floor people on those sides huhu Next was ANTHEM!!!! AAAAH I LOVED THIS IN QUARTETTO!!!!!! AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT NOW! LOVED IT!!! Singing the wo o o o ow parts were such a "finally-feeling" for me! Then like the huge carts appeared now for the next song and it was designed as a huge train! Super cute! Like it even had smoke and all >< and following the train cart was the Jrs waving flags and the bubbles from the start of the con came back! So next song was チャンカパーナ! And I was sad that they didn't do the dance here 😭 like with the mic stands and the cheek touching HUHUHU but yeah they were riding the carts and they were throwing stuff to the crowd! OMG I HOPED THEY WOULD THROW WHEN THEY CAME TO US but yeah they stayed at the other side until the song came to an end Next was チュムチュム and I didn't really like this song before but OMG HEARING IT LIVE MADE ME CHANGE MY FEELINGS FOR THIS SONG KOYAMA'S AND SHIGE'S VOICES WERE JUST PERFECT HERE AND THE SONG SUITS THEIR TONE SO MUCH! And they also stopped in front of us now but they didn't throw anything so that was super sad 😭 but yeah they were close and omg all of them really look like PERFECT HUMAN BEINGS I CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW PERFECT EVERYONE WAS (IS)! AND OMG WHEN KOYAMA WAS IN FRONT OF ME, I DID A KIND OF LIKE A HAIR FLIP? IT WAS BEAUTIFUL Next song was 渚のお姉サマー and AAAH! SUCH A REFRESHING SOOOONG! With all the summer songs I was hoping for Summer Time maybe? Hahahah but yeah no 😭💔 haha anyway, they went further to the side and they were throwing stuff again 😭 only our side didn't get huhuhu but yeah this song was so cute and refreshing!! Next song was weeek!!! AAH SO MUCH APPRECIATION TO THIS SONG CAUSE LOL this song taught me the days of the week HAHAHAH And yes this is definitely a fan favorite! Everyone went wild!!! They got off the carts now! But they didn't say the 行きます！part at the start 😭 but it's fine 😭 and yeah so much fan service here hahahaha and yeah EVERYONE was having a blast!!! NEXT ONE IS ポコポンペコーリャ AND ERMERGERD I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!! My friend spoiled me and told me one song from the setlist (she saw what the setlist was from the other dates) and like the dance was so cute in the previous tour so I was so really very looking forward to this 😱💕💕💕 AND AAAAAH IT REALLY WAS SO CUTE!!!!!!! They were on the elevated stage at the center. And omggggggg!!! When the song was about to end, they all fell down and were sleeping and Mr. Impossible was saying how we should dance the dance he taught before the concert started to wake them up HAHAHAH True enough they all woke up starting with Koyama hahaha then ermergerd Shige wouldn't wake up but when he did, he was so motivated to do the dance HAHAHAHHA everyone was supposed to be dancing but like Shige was the only one actually dancing it 😂😂 Massu was just repeating the peace sign move and Tego was just walking like the toy robot style 😂😂 like that's the only way to explain it HAHAH and then Koyama was just monitoring then I guess 😂😂 then we danced it all one last time 💕 it was fun!! And then Tego was like "NICE ONEEE! PAH PAH PAAAAAH" (like the sound from uuuuh omg I can't explain it 😱) then yeah, I think this is the part where Koyama asked us to raise our penlights and since it was a controlled penlight, when Koyana did the countdown, everyone's penlight turned on and it was such a beautiful sight 😍☺️💛 Then they went back and finished ポコポンペコーリャ 💜💚💗💛 then they introduced the Jrs! And Mr. Impossible was thanking us for dancing! I think... Or am I hallucinating him now hahaa So before the next song, Koyama was saying how grateful they all were that we were there! And the train sounds came and the train(?) the Jrs were carrying during the first song came back, like indicating that they are gonna leave soon So! 流れ星was next and this song just hits the feels right in the heart 😭😭😭😭😭😭 IF THIS WAS CUT I WOULD GET REALLY MAD! But fortunately they didn't so everyone was happy!!!!! Everyone's voice was again so perfect and just... I'm so speechless 😭 NEWS IS PERFECT! But they were all saying goodbye at this point and I still didn't want it to end 😭 when they left the stage, Mr. Impossible was back and he was saying thank you and how NEVERLAND will continue on to a new place. And how NEWS will continue on and love us as we love them and he was also saying how NEWS will always be beside us so we will never be alone ☺️💕 So NEWS appeared at the main stage and sang U R not alone! By then I was sooo emotional already and singing the wo o ow parts at the start was so hard for me already. And OMG MASSU WAS CRYING 😭 like at the first chorus he was crying so Shige was the only one singing (they were supposed to be harmonizing here with Massu as the main vocal and Shige as the alto) and omg Shige was just looking at Massu kind of like saying "you can do this!" (I was happy though that I heard Shige's harmonizing voice 😍😍😍) so yeah Massu couldn't sing so Tego helped and sing that part! This song was so emotional I swear 😭 Massu was able to sing already though when it was his turn to be alto when Shige was singing! ☺️ And omg the CHORUS 😭 I WAS SINGING MY HEART OUT IN ALL OF THE CHORUSES 😭 their voices harmonizing is my life now 😭 and then everyone gave their passionate goodbye speeches and I really couldn't handle it anymore, I was so wrecked with how perfect NEWS is 😭 and they made us sing the wo o ow part for a long time and I just really sang my heart out! omg I WAS A WRECK! I WAS CRYING (no tears fell though lol but like the feeling was crying. It was so hard for me to breathe and I was shaking like I was crying and a was sniffing so much. I think it was because I still really needed to pee but yeah, I was crying) Then they made us sing the first chorus. Just us. No instrumentals. No nothing. Just our voices. Then the lights came on and they made us repeat this multiple times and I just sang my heart out and omg someone said みんな1人じゃない！And Tego continued the song from the bridge and at the last chorus, NEWS was shout singing it and I could feel their passion and how much they truly love us 😭😭 And that was that. Mr. Impossible lastly said that NEVERLAND will continue on tomorrow (for the last date of the entire tour). And after, we were shouting for an encore but NEWS didn't come out again 😔 But yeah, that's it! I loved it guys and I'm so happy I was able to show my love for Koyama! ☺️ He needs it with all the hate around 😔 Some parts I forgot when they did it: · They were at the center stage and it was elevated and then all the NEWS members were in a circle and dancing with Jrs EXCEPT for Tego! SUPER FUNNY CAUSE TEGO AND HIS JRS SQUAD WERE JUST THERE STANDING HAHAHAHA · there was a part where they were riding the small carts and it was Massu and Shige now at my side of the dome and OMG WHEN I SAW SHIGE CLOSE FOR THE FIRST TIME, HE IS SO HANDSOME 😭😭😭💕💕💕💕 LIKE SERIOUSLY 😭 and Massu omg MASSU IS SO CUTE!!! Like I wanna hug him and give him a pet (lol) · I forgot what song this was but like the bubble things were up again and from them, stars where falling! I don't know what those stars are made of cause I wasn't able to get one 😭😭 · not sure what song this came out but I GOT CONFETTI!!!! Yay! Hahaha yeah For some general reports: · I WAS SHAKING THE WHOLE TIME GUYS AND SUPER EMOTIONAL OMG · LOVED THE WHOLE STORY OF NEVERLAND! EVERYTHING WAS CONNECTED AND LOVED HOW IT ALL STARTED FROM THE ALBUM! And like the old songs too, they fit the concept! · Like I said above, this album is their best album in my opinion! And I just love the whole concept of it and how nicely done it was! And I loved all the songs in it! (I'm becoming redundant lol) · THEIR VOICES WERE ALL LIVE AND OMG ALL WERE SO BEAUTIFUL · They sang a good number of old songs and new songs, I liked the balance! They sang a lot from the NEWS album and I think that's beautiful! (Can't believe I still knew all the songs tbh) (unless I forgot a song???? 😱) · I need more interaction! (When was I ever contented 😅) · I was so sad they didn't sing Happy Birthday 😭 I just celebrated my birthday last Wednesday and was super hoping they'd perform it but sadly they didn't 😭😭 And like I was sort of expecting it too! Since like they always performed it (except in White but still!) 😭 · I really feel like 4nin NEWS is the best now! After all they've been through, I think their bond is the strongest now! At least that's what I felt during the live! And among all the JE groups, I think NEWS is the most family like and like they goof around so much 😂 · A bit sad that there was NO encore 😭 SUPER DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS · for members: Tegoshi - AAAAAAHHHH TEGO WAS SOOOO FUN! Loved his voice and there performance he showed! Like I love how he's so professional when performing but so goofy and crazy when he's not 😂 and he is so handsome 😭, Massu - HE'S SO CUTE!!!!! Like there were times I really wanted to pinch his cheeks!! And I think he has the best voice in NEWS 😭 he made me close my eyes!, Shige - omg where do I even start with this guy 😱 he is such a perfection! Like that short time when he was my ichi, I was all his omg like he has improved so much and I STILL can't believe how perfect he is! Favorite stage is his solo(and U R Not Alone) because of the passion I felt omg, and now saving the best for last! Kei-chan! KOYAMA 😭😭😭 I've been waiting so much to see you and hear you and have fun with you 😭 that finally happened and seeing how much you went through in this concert alone, I can't help thinking how many times you went through that 😭 and to think some fans are even being mean to him 😔 Koyama, I will love you even if you have given up on everything and I hope you know how important you are to us! Seeing his smile close was one of the best things about this con! 😭💜💜💜💜💜 愛してます! Everyone says that he is such a pure, kind, and loving person and just as everyone says, it's all true! I say the kindest, purest, most loving person in the Dome and that was him! 😭💜☺️ So to conclude, my first NEWS concert was more than I could ever dream of! I loved that they were real and crazy and actually awesome to be honest lol I loved every second of it! NEWS, that one strong group that I've always believed in, I FINALLY SAW THEM LIVE AFTER 9 LONG YEARS! June 10, 2017. I LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN I SEE YOU AGAIN!

Kacey Musgraves & Ruston Kelly - Romance Review

Kacey Musgraves has had one hell of a year! Not only has the country sensation toured with Harry Styles, but her fourth studio album Golden Hour has received high praise from both fans and critics alike, along with multiple nominations across several award shows. To top it all off, Musgraves is celebrating her first anniversary being married to fellow artist, Ruston Kelly on October 14!

Having the benefit of getting to watch some of their love story play out in public, it’s safe to say that as Kacey and Ruston were falling for each other, we were falling for them as well. And, even luckier for us, the couple has been generous enough to let us into some of their more personal moments, from the story of how they met to their stunning fall Tennessee woodland wedding. With their one-year wedding anniversary right on the horizon, we’re celebrating a year of Kacey & Ruston Kelly with a brief timeline of their romance. Here’s to the everlasting union of two of music’s brightest songbirds!

A Chance Meeting

As it seems to always go, the country starlet wasn’t “looking to date” when she met her future husband. “I decided to go to the Bluebird one night for a writers’ round, which I never do because it’s so touristy,” she recounts in a July 2018 interview with Hits Daily Double. Note for the non-Nashvillians, the Bluebird Café is a legendary club famous for its’ remarkable writers rounds. “I didn’t go with anyone, and I was sitting by myself at a table. Ruston played his first song, and I was just stunned by everything in it—the words, the melody, what he was saying. I was just sitting at this table, crying.”

In another uncharacteristic move for her, Musgraves was compelled to introduce herself to him, “Hey, I don’t really ever do this, but here’s my number; I really wanna write with you.” Flash forward from their March 2016 meeting to the date they had finally nailed down for a write, May 11. A fateful day indeed, the songwriter explains their first “date” with only the beauty and imagery she could. “The second Ruston walked into my house, I felt like Dorothy when the colorized part happens in The Wizard of Oz. We didn’t even write a song. We just talked, and talked, and talked. He didn’t leave until like 3am. It was the easiest, most natural thing in the world—and I didn’t want it to stop.”

Only months after meeting, they knew they had found a home in one another, illustrated by the caption on a photo Kacey posted of the two in July, relatively early in their relationship, “with all the craziness that is plaguing the world it feels nice to have a little bit of quiet land to come home to and rest my heart.”

The newfound stability fostered incredible works of art. Known for writing stories from others perspectives, Kacey was asked if her husband had any impact on the deviation from her typical style on latest album Golden Hour. She responded, “I'm living in a much more positive light now. It’s maybe opened my heart a little. And I realized maybe I’ve been a little over-[self] protected. Maybe I can let loose a little more, trust more in the songs, what I have at home and out here.” Needless to say, it wasn’t long before Kelly popped the big question, in an incredibly thoughtful and sweet display in her childhood bedroom, surrounded by loved ones, during Christmas break. The caption of an Instagram photo Musgraves posted of her brand new engagement ring says it all, “I didn't say yes...I said HELL YESSSS!! Last night, the best man I've ever met got down on one knee in my little pink childhood home, in the same room I played with my ponies and barbies and asked me the easiest question I've ever been asked. ❤I finally know what everyone means when they say "you just know”.

We had just been at my parent's house randomly having a night of watching bittersweet old home tapes of all these beautiful family memories that were made in this little, old country house I grew up in that I now have. We came back to that house afterwards and he had somehow pulled off having my sister + brother in-law sneak off and completely decorate my childhood bedroom in the most nostalgic and perfect Christmas decorations. I was bewildered and confused when I saw it all and turned around and the song "Two For The Road" by Henry Mancini started playing (this song is so emotional and sweet..it's one of my favorites..you have to go listen) and he was on his knee with a baby pink velvet ring box and the sparkliest thing I've ever seen! 💖Then my sister busted in and captured it all with her camera. It was so beyond special. Of all the places in the world I've gotten to see, nowhere could mean more than this happening in tiny Golden, Texas in the house that completely made me who I am.

Woodland Wedding

Their wedding was reflective of the couple itself, intimate, family-oriented, and anchored by nature. In her own words, the bride recalled, “Saturday, in a sacred place where two rivers meet and join together, I married my best friend, barefoot and surrounded by the deepest kind of magic and love that exists. I've never felt so tranquil and happy. We made our promises to each other under the trees and then drank and danced into the night. We couldn't have done any of it without the help of our wonderful families and amazing friends.” The groom added that it embodied, “The best kind of magic. Best day of my life.”

The photographs show the whimsical wedding we dreamed that Kacey Musgraves would have. Complete with bio-degradable confetti, a photo trailer, and a grassy aisle, the small gathering had less than 100 guests and only one bridesmaid and groomsman, their sister and brother respectively. The Release of Golden Hour

In the same thought from the Hits Daily Double interview quoted earlier, the artist elaborates on how meeting the love of her life changed her entirely, and therefore her music. “I’ve never had love songs or relationship songs. I write about other things, other people’s stories or perspectives. When you’re with someone you truly love to the core and they feel that way about you, there’s no sense of panic—or that it’s going to come apart.” All one would have to do is listen to the album in its entity to hear all the impact Ruston has had on its’ creator. Later, she reiterates, “I love love. So much I’ve never expressed it inwardly in the songs. Now that I’m with someone who loves me no matter what my flaws are, it’s a whole other thing. And you see it even more clearly.”

That support from Ruston radiates, ahead of Golden Hour’s release he told his Instagram followers, “There is nothing more attractive than someone continually striving to master their craft. Allowing your creative output to evolve synonymously with who and where you are in your life is essential to the artist who gives a shit about the quality of their platform. But when surrounded by a popular musical climate that encourages complacency and awards the mediocre, it is truly a brave feat. Ever the does-what-she-fucking-wants creative woman, she knows what’s up. As a comrade, I strongly champion this new wonderful work.” Talk about a supportive spouse!

Collaborating on “To June, This Morning”

The newlyweds had the opportunity to participate in an homage to icon Johnny Cash through a project titled, Forever Words. Kelly once posted on his Instagram sharing with his followers, “Last night [Kacey] and I sang "To June, This Morning," a poem written by Johnny Cash in 1970. I had started to put music to this 12 years ago and forgot about it. Kacey and I revisited it recently and finished it in like 6 seconds. Finding the love of your life can make words like that come alive. It will be released on the upcoming "Forever Words" project featuring several artists singing Johnny Cash poems. We feel um VERY LUCKY.”

In an incredible interview with Rolling Stone Country, the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash expressed his appreciation that Kelly brought the song to his attention, according to the interview “having seen it himself in a memorabilia book while he was a teenager.” He goes further to comment, “Here’s a young couple running parallel lives with where my mother and father were. In that vibrant, excited point where there is all that hope.” And that there is plenty of, just watch the video they released to accompany the music, the two are full of love for each other.

The Release of Dying Star

6 months following his new wife’s fourth studio album release, Ruston Kelly celebrated the September 7 release of his debut album, Dying Star. And like his wife, finding the love of his life had a monumental impact on him as an artist and his craft, and discussed this earlier this year in an interview with Sounds Like Nashville, “She really helped me pick up some of those pieces and remind me that what I’m doing is important and to understand what I need to do to pick myself back up.” He calls her “that classic receptive feminine force in a man’s life.” Adding that they bonded over “talking about art and music and also doing things the way you were meant to do them and not being apologetic whatsoever about it.”

Now that doesn’t surprise us.

While we’re only able to highlight a few of the major public moments from this power couple, we know there are countless we’ve missed and even more to come. We patiently await the numerous artistic benefits the union of two super-songwriters brings. With both artists busy promoting their latest releases, they are forced to spend most of that time apart, something they understood from the start. Kacey is currently out on her Oh What a World Tour, spanning Norway to the UK before traversing the US.

As for Kelly? He’s playing a number of fun festivals and shows over the coming months, some tickets to which are available HERE.

We’d like to congratulate one of our favorite country music couples one last time on a blissful first year of marriage, and toast many more to come. Please, do continue keep us in the loop!

Happy December 1, All! 'Tis the season... and though diabetes might not seem like your typical inspiration for the holidays, there are a surprising number of D-related gifts that actually work — from hilarious T-shirts, to blue jewelry, to various aids for getting healthy. Our second annual DBMine Holiday Gift Guide has plenty of ways to incorporate a little diabetes fun into your gift-giving, and many of these options give yet again by supporting diabetes charities, like the JDRF, ADA, and Diabetes Research Institute (DRI).

Like last year, we encourage y'all to think out of the ordinary gift box.

For... the charitable gift shopper:

First off, if your priority is to make your Holiday shopping support a diabetes organization, check out the huge selection of gifts through the American Diabetes Association's Gift of Hope catalog. It has all the usual giftie items to choose from: candles, calendars, kitchenware, jewelry and bags, plus holiday decor and greeting cards. But in this case, all the profits from your purchase go to support diabetes research through the ADA.

You can also support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation with their line of holiday greeting cards, many of which are designed by children with diabetes.

For... the T-shirt collector:

A lot of diabetes products are designed, naturally, for the person with diabetes. Which is why we love the idea behind Type 3 Apparel, a new online clothing store with designs from a father of a child with diabetes for other type 3s (i.e. loved ones of people with diabetes). There are some really cute and clever designs, but I think my absolute favorite is the Wilford Brimley "Obey" Limited Edition tee for $25.

If you're looking for other fun, independently designed diabetes T-shirts and gifts, look no further than the diabetes section on CafePress, where dozens of humorous D-shirts, hats, messenger bags, stickers and pins can be found — even from us here at the 'Mine! Another favorite of ours is a T-shirt that says "Unless your pancreas doesn't work, stop whining!" (it also comes as a pin).

For... the book lover:

We've also spent the past year reviewing and giving away a whole mess of amazing books on living with diabetes. Some of the most popular titles were Phil Southerland's memoir, Not Dead Yet, and Amy Stockwell Mercer's book, The Smart Woman's Guide to Diabetes. And for those of you who have "losing weight" on your New Year's Resolutions, ask Santa to bring you Sam Talbot's new cookbook, The Sweet Life. Good reads!

For... the gadget geek:

Here's a list of the best health and fitness iPhone apps from Lifehacker. Quite a few of them are free, or under $10, so you can look like a great boyfriend/ girlfriend/ BFF without breaking the bank. SparkPeople and TheCarrot.com seem to be especially popular.

For the tech-lover athlete in your life, what about a heart rate monitor or Garmin GPS arm band to track their runs? OK, the Garmin's an investment at $140, but you can also opt for a cheaper alternative like the Adidas Micoach Sport Armband for iPhone 4, at under $19.

If your PWD loved one likes gadgets but needs an extra push to start actually downloading their glucose numbers, consider the new Glooko cable that makes it super-easy to view and share 14 days' worth of glucose data from your iPhone or iPad.

A little lower-tech but still gadget-y are the glucose key chains from ReliOn and Quick Fix. The Walmart/Relion version costs under $2 and holds 4 glucose tablets. The similar Quick Fix comes in 4 different colors and costs $4.50. Lots more quirky medical/health-type products can be found here. Stocking stuffers, anyone?

For... the ladies:

National Diabetes Awareness Month is over for the year, but that doesn't mean we can't continue to spread some blue love:

Etsy retailer and D-Mom Cari has created beaded blue circle crystal necklace that's currently on sale for $22. All proceeds from the necklace go to JDRF!

D-Mom Tonya Homme launched Tips for Type 1 to raise money for the Diabetes Research Institute. She sells fun nail polish in blue and silver.

These beautiful blue pendant earrings benefit the JDRF, too.

Plus, we love the lines of medical alert ID bracelets from Creative Medical ID and Lauren's Hope, which has come out with yet another new line of beautiful, seasonal bracelets!

For... the guys:

We get a lot of inquiries about medic alert bracelets for the men-folk, and we thought this leather cuff would be perfect for any guy in your life looking for something not-too-clinical and not-too-sparkly either, but still effective.

Lots of guys also complain that there aren't any manly glucose meter cases, but Sugar Medical Supply has introduced us to a couple of items in their product line that are sure to help. Amy and I are fans of their bags and chatted with founder Carolyn Jager earlier this fall.

For... anyone!

Gifts for the PWD in your life don't have to be directly related to diabetes. Here are some fun, health-inspired ideas:

- Check out the selection of local exercise classes on Groupon or Living Social. Everything from bootcamps to personal training to Zumba sessions are available, and a gift certificate can offer a great introduction to a new fitness routine without the up-front commitment or the cost.

Or you can add these fitness favorites to your wish list: exercise DVDs, like the 30-Day Shred from Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michael; yoga mat and free weights; or update your workout wardrobe with clothes from Lucy or Lululemon for the ladies, or Nike or Adidas for the men (and women, too).

- Our readers have always been big fans of Healthifeet foot cream, which is especially timely with the cold dry December air.

- There may not be any new albums dropping from our favorite PWD singers, but Crystal Bowersox still has her album, Farmer's Daughter, available, along with Custom Built by Bret Michaels. Or you can support up-and-coming artist Amanda Lamb and her album, Highwire.
