Yeah, I’m back on my Sims 4 bullshit! („ಡωಡ„) After an entire month I started to miss my Sim children. So, I decided to visit them once again and have some memorable screenshots, especially since I only started sharing my Sims experience from 5th and 6th generation. I’d be grateful if you checked it out one day, I think it can be somewhat investing! And there will be more content to come...

Recently I noted down in my little notebook all basic information and cool trivia about each of my Sim children, and I decided to share some of it here. There is a limit of only 10 pictures in one post, and I was afraid the post would be long but, to be fair, this is my blog and I’m doing what I want now! And, I will merely touch upon what is already established up to Delphini (gen 7). Again, there will be more in the future. Apologies in advance (ง ื▿ ื)ว

Generation one: Valentina Owl. I created her back in December 2019 when I got Discover University for Christmas! She’s a “human” Sim and I created her through a story option in CAS, and immediately started having a blast. I was not a huge fan of such USAmericanised concept of university but the game was fun. She was the only one who lived up to be an elder (and then die) because back then I thought I’m gonna have a game where my Sims age and stuff. That quickly didn’t work out for me because I missed her already and decided that I’m gonna fill my entire save with just Owl family. Valentina studied Communications and worked as a policewoman at the same time. A lonely workaholic with only her lavish garden, she finally settled for a relationship with Lilith Vatore. As I noticed in this post, there was no marriage so my entire bloodline comes from a bastard. Lovely! She died from receiving a flower arragement with Death Flower scent. Now she’s on the Gallery.

Generation two: Herbert Owl. He was the one who directly killed Valentina. He mastered Gardening like Valentina, and then Flower Arranging - unfortunate for her. Because of Lilith, he was a vampire - and to be fair, the consequences are haunting me to this day! So, a few trivia, maybe. He is super smart, lives in Glimmerbrook like the next two generations, and has a small garden in his house where he grows crops for husband’s, Morgyn Ember’s, potions. He prefers black and purple clothes, both in his human and vampire form. He wrote only one book in his life, translating to The Real Story of Valentina Owl - whether it’s to cover the murder or not remains a mystery. He makes flower arrangements to this day. Ah, he’s also immune to Sun thanks to one of his vampire perks! That sort of helped him take a better care of his son whom he loves very much.

Generation three: Harry Owl. There is not that much I can say about him. A perfectionist like his father (Herbert), he’s blond and wears both masculine and feminine clothes like his other father (Morgyn), but this is where the comparisons end. See, in my mind he wasn’t a good person, despite having a Compassionate trait. He cared for his grandmother’s (Valentina’s) garden only because of his father’s (Herbert’s) feelings; later he shun away gardening. As a teenager, he often used to drink plasma without permission even if he wasn’t thirsty. Of course, he was also a really bad father, often berating his son for not being “good enough” or not paying attention to him at all. All Harry cared about were his paintings that he was creating in his private office. He married Miverva Charm, started living with her family, and still decided to only socialise with her. No one really knows what made him choose her.

Generation four: Nereus Owl. Born a vampire, he cured himself out of vampirism as soon as he could and later became a spellcaster. All he ever did in life was seemed like a rebellion against his father - clothes, flacking off during studies, loving gardening and shuning away painting. Well, it seemed to his father that Nereus is doing this to spite him. Despite this borderline abuse (because how abusive can Sims really be?), Nereus claims his childhood was relatively happy. Of course, he has no clue where his Erratic trait came from! Or why he grew to be a Perfectionist as well. All he knows is that having over 11 different plants in his garden is what makes him happy and that he doesn’t care if his father approves of him anymore! You could see him for the first time here. What is more, as he grew older, he found that he loves playing the violin and his wife, L. Faba, supports him in any way she can. His natural hair colour is red; thanks, grey-haired Minerva - that one bit me in the ass for next three generations.

Generation five: Elijah Tane Owl. Vegetarian like his father, he was the first one to attend Foxbury instead of Britechester. His father Nereus claimed it should be Elijah’s choice what he wants to do in life, giving Elijah freedom Nereus never really had. Elijah studied Computer Science but was a man of many talents. He was a fan of Handiness, Cooking (especially grilling), and Fitness. He often played (and sang) serenades on a keyboard for his wife, Alessandra Robles, almost maxing out his Piano skill. What made him date Alessandra was a shared Vegetarian trait. His favourite colour accent in clothing is green. He grew six strawberry plants because he wished to have a daughter (yeah, only in Sims 4 lol). There are more info about him in my previous posts as it was this generation when I started publishing my game progress, starting with this one (although my main focus was on Salem).

Generation six: Salem Owl (previously Lavender Owl). There is tons and tons of posts about her, her wife Luna Villareal (both are adults, calm down FBI), and their five daughers: Amaryllis, Wisteria, Delphini (remember this one), Hemlock, and Poppy. All you need to know about her is that she is a hard-working mother who climbed her way to the top and even higher to secure the future of her daughers. She hoped for three children and played with On the Dark Ley-Line lot trait to perhaps have some vampire offspring. Instead, she had twins (Ama and Wis) first, and then triplets (Del, Hem, and Poppy) later! She taught her daughers instruments/skills like Piano, Pipe Organ, and Violin. Once she realised Wis and Hem were vampires, she started growing three Plasma fruit trees, with time maxing out her Gardening skill. She’s on very bad terms with her grandma, L. Faba, but tries to keep in touch with her grandpa, Nereus. She has a bad reputation because of her Insensitive trait and a handful of enemies. She’s sorry for what happened between Lilith and Valentina in the past but the Vatore twins don’t mind. She’s ginger, workaholic, has spiky ears, and a lot of freckles. She’s still very good friends with Vladislaus.

Generation seven (A): Amaryllis Owl. She’s colour-coded (pink) and her clothes and room reflect that. She wrote at least 10 books, has spiky ears after her mother (Salem), and is the older daugher in the house. Eventually, she married Candy Behr. Ama’s twin sister is Wisteria and they share the same eyeliner type. Despite having a twin, her skin tone is lighter than Wis’ but the same as Hem and Poppy’s. She inherited a feminine walk from her mother (Luna). Doesn’t know much about Vampire Lore despite having vampire sisters. She loved doing everything with her twin sister. Amaryllis used to be a naturally-born/spawned hybrid of a vampire and a spellcaster but settled for the latter.

Generation seven (B): Wisteria Owl. She’s colour-coded (purple) and her room reflects that. As a vampire, she aims for a gothic look, often wearing hats and gloves to hide from the sun (with time, she turned into a heliphobe). She’s an actress and a B-Lister. She has a pet frog in her room. To reach her room, one has to walk through Ama’s room first - and they’re both okay with that. Wis is the only one to have the same skin tone as her mother (Salem) and the same nose as her other mother (Luna). Her vampiric form changes her eye colour to glowing purple. She loved goign to karaoke bars with her older twin sister Ama, which led Wis to maxing out Singing skill. As a fully fledged vampire, she decided to reach out to Herbert - they’re good friends.

Generation seven (C): Delphini Owl. Same as Amaryllis - naturally-born/spawned hybrid of a vampire and a spellcaster but settled for the latter. She’s colour-coded (dark blue) and her clothes and room reflect that. She always knew she’s going to leave the house and eventually create more Owls. She pursued the rich life and moved out to Del Sol Valley, eventually becoming a Global Superstar. She used to work in a Musician Branch but quit after time - blame the Freegan trait. She has three cats and lives with her daugher Morgan, and her [Morgan’s] husband Kaito Kaneko, and their adopted son Leven Owl (all of which I’ll talk about another time). She received a lot of awards (meeting with fans, Perfect Llama to name the few) and is very happy that her daugher lives with her. She used to romance with Flower Bunny, and then Octavia Moon - althought the initial plan was to go after Octavia’s husband, Thorne. Del often drinks but since there’s no alcoholism in Sims 4, let’s pretent she likes to stay hydrated! She owes half of her success (or namely, money for and expensive house) to her mother Salem. Loves to sunbathe!

Generation seven (D): Hemlock Owl. She’s colour-coded (white) and her clothes and room reflect that. She’s a make-up enthusiast and a little spoiled by the rich life. Also, she’s very Squeamish and Noncommittal. Despite being a vampire, she’s not interested in improving Vampire Lore skill at all. In her vampire form, her eyes change to glowing white. Her face as as many freckles as her mother’s (Salem). She’s the middle child in the triplets business and her best friend is Poppy. She used to wear glasses as a child... What more can I say? She’s living the dream!

Generation seven (E): Poppy Owl. She’s colour-coded (red) and her clothes and room (and a neon light) reflect that. The youngest daughter in the house. Wild and a Bro, she’s the perfect candidate to hang out with. She’s the only child to be born a human - which most likely makes Luna very happy. She’s a robots enthusiast - not Robotics skill but only figurines of robots. She’s a Geek so what else should we expect? She has her own TV and a stereo in her room (as well as a bubble machine). Poppy often wears her PJs around the house because they’re the comfiest. Despite being a Bro, she doesn’t really have friends beside her family. She’s the one to walk the family dog, Milk.

[R]: Unfortunately I don’t have any tutorials I use (most of my endeavors have been purely trial and error). Just look up some general stuff about blender features and get to know what they do. The main thing to do for getting a mesh into a full body ts4 costume is to append the model to the full body costume mesh file, delete the meshes in the LODs containing it and joining the mesh you want to said LODs --> then import to S4S and enjoy :D

[R]: Doesn’t seem like they’re anything crucial? Usually the only things that really make my sims different is the skin overlay, and using Drowned Out usually makes the difference. I’d have to give this some thought. It’s possible that the upper body mods have to do with the muscle slider I used? Other than that, there wasn’t all that much else to them :/

[R]: Those are some strange and rather elusive specularish[?] issues that don’t actually seem to be on the specular maps in the hairs. I still don’t have a clue how to fix it, and it personally hasn’t bothered me too much so I’ve kinda just grown to live and let live (y’know, until there’s some fix for it :P)

[R]: For my mass effect sims, the content is usually separated so users can dl the bits they want. Other sims I’ve uploaded usually don’t have a lot of CC associated with them, and are usually the same bits I use across the board, so you only need to download them once from any of the links of my releases. Plus breaking up the downloads into smaller files is easier on my near-dial-up-ass adsl internet speeds (I don’t get fiber where I am since our local district council isn’t looking to update our zone until the mid 2020s).

Nickname(s): none! apparently i’m boring and the name i chose for myself doesn’t tend to have many nicknames that you can make with it lol so i just get everyone to call my by my first name; danni

Height: i haven’t measured myself since i was like eighteen or something but i think i was 5′ 7″ but i’m not actually sure because fun fact when i was 12 i had no real concept of height and measurements (i’m only slightly better now) so i just picked a random number that seemed about average and said i was 5′ 7″ when i was realistically more like 5′ 2″ or smth. BUT ironically enough, i stayed at 5′ 7″ for a year or two maybe more so uh weird predictive shit there.

Time: currently it is 6:10pm!

Favourite Band/Artist: hhhhhhh this is impossible bc i don’t actually have one. i mean i do quite like a bunch of fall out boy songs but not enough to really say that they’re my favourite? my favourite genre though is soundtracks bc i really love listening to many different soundtracks, whether they’re from games, tv shows, movies or whatever.

Do I get Asks: incredibly rarely. i always get super happy whenever i get asks but i get one maybe once a month or two. maybe less.

Why I chose this username: i don’t think i can remember exactly why anymore. i think it was because i was having a phase where my favourite animal were mice. and i’d uncovered the term “-ling” which when added to something would mean the qualities of it. and so “mouseling” would mean the qualities of a mouse. and i was pretty shy, but one day i realised that 4 out of 5 letters of mouse are on the end of anonymous. thus, when you combine “anonymous” and “mouseling” you get “anonymouseling” which was unique enough that no one else had it. and thus, i’ve continued to use it as my main username ever since. wow long story.

Following: 136! though most of those accounts are inactive i think, but my dash is pretty quite in general.

Average amount of sleep: god uh my average is probably around 5-7 hours? in an average week, because unfortunately most of the time when i first wake up i can’t really roll over and fall back asleep. sometimes i can and i end up sleeping up to 10 hours but yeah. most of the time anywhere between 5 and 7 hours.

What am I wearing: pj botttoms, fuzzy socks, soft t-shirt and warm expensive zip up hoodie my dad bought me before i cut him out my life. it’s my comfortable ‘no one is seeing me today so i who cares what i look like’ clothes.

Lucky number: 13! bc i love going against superstitions.

Dream job: if i was at a point where i wouldn’t burn out easily, i’d say author. or if i had the talent, i’d say animator or comic creator.

Dream trip: me and my friends go to orlando, florida during late summer. we stay on the strip in a nice hotel for the most part and move to a disney hotel for a few days. we have all expenses paid food, entry to everywhere and one of us drives. we go to every theme park, every stupid attraction, and we eat at most of the restaurants on the strip. some days we’d just chill by the hotel pool being super lazy and dozing off under the sun. we’d call each other over if we spot some cute lizards, and during the evenings we’d play at one of the many mini golf courses available.

Favourite food: i really love yakisoba. but i also adore cucumber maki sushi.

Play any instruments: nope!! at one point i was learning to play the guitar but i gave up after 2/3 weeks because my friend bullied me out of it.

Languages you speak: just english unfortunately.

Hair colour: it’s meant to be a dark blue but it’s more like black nowadays honestly. my natural hair colour is a dark/medium brown though.

Eye colour: pale blue! in some lights they look grey, but in some lights they look really blue.

Random Fact: oh man i wasted my most interesting fact on the height section. uhhhh? oh yeah, before i changed my name, i used to have two middle names. and now i have none. my dad chose my first name, my second middle name and i got his surname. my mum chose my first middle name, rose. when i changed my name, i picked my own first name but i decided that i’d always hated my first name, first middle name and my surname so i got rid of all those. i always loved my second middle name so i kept it and made it my surname.

basically, i got rid of all the names my dad gave me because i always hated them, kept the one my mum gave me and made up the first.

Bali Travel Guide for First-Timers

Bali has always been on the top list of every traveler nowadays. You cannot blame everyone as this place is indeed radiating with rich culture, delectable cuisine, and don’t forget those instagrammable spots you keep on seeing on your feed. It was my first time on this country and to be honest, I unexpectedly got mesmerized with its beauty right off the bat!

I actually once belonged to that very small percentage of people who really doesn’t have that much hype for this Indonesian gem. Unfortunate stories of scams always hindered my plan; And to my opinion, I have seen way more beautiful beaches than this place has to offer. I already took the chance when I scored a cheap promo fare and was accompanied by a friend so I know that the perfect time has come for me to personally witness what this tropical island has to offer.

How To Get To Bali?

Bali being the main tourist destination of Indonesia has its own international airport strategically located in the provincial capital, Denpasar. Flying in and out of Bali is not an issue since its Ngurah Rai International Airport serves numerous domestic and international flight routes from and to most known destinations.

Philippines’ Cebu Pacific and Air Asia offer cheap direct flights from Manila. I got mine for Php2,186.04 RT via Cebu Pacific on one of their grand promo fares. Philippine Airlines also offer a more comfortable direct flight but with a steeper price.

Direct flights from major hubs like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok also have direct flights to Bali. You can always check Skyscanner for the best flight options to your destination.

You can also reach Bali without flying if coming from some of the most famous destinations in Indonesia like Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. On the other hand, a ferry ride from Lombok is also available.

How To Get Out Of The Airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport)?

Since airport taxis are notorious for their excessive pricing, the Grab app would be your best bet going to your accommodation or to whatever your next destination is coming from the airport. A motorcycle-ride hailing service app, Gojek is a more feasible option if you’re a solo traveler.

But if you’re on a group, I would advise to just book your airport transfer online (e.g. Klook) as it is more hassle-free and way cheaper than taxis. Klook is an online booking platform that offers cheaper prices for almost all your travel needs. From activities, admission tickets, transport, and even wifi and sim card, Klook is the way to go. If you’re new to Klook, make sure to sign up HERE to get a Php 150 reward!

How To Tour Around Bali?

If you have an international driver’s license and confident enough to drive around Bali, renting out a motorcycle or car would be the best option. Commuting in Bali is not recommendable.

For convenience, best option for tourists would be hiring a guide/driver to tour you around. Prices are reasonable enough specially if you’re on a group.

I actually had booked all our travel activities in Bali through the same person I had booked our airport transport with. Where To Stay In Bali?

Ubud – Even though it’s far-off from the airport, Ubud has been one of the most famous areas in Bali to book you accommodation with. We actually had our Airbnb in this area. Ubud offers more of a peaceful stay compared to other areas. It is also more culturally-rich as a lot of Buddhist temple-looking residences can be seen around. Fun fact: Most of the Bali locations for the movie Eat Pray Love were filmed here in Ubud.

Kuta/Seminyak – This area is where all the hustle and bustle are. If you’re into partying, this place is perfect for you. A lot of well-rated restaurants and shops are scattered around. A few decent beaches are also in reach from this area.

Jimbaran/Uluwatu – These areas south of Bali are also a perfect choice since most of the best beaches on the island (e.g. Dreamland Beach) can be found here. It is also just less than an hour away from the airport.

Day 1: Ubud Tour

We arrived in Bali in the morning and since it’s too early to check in yet to our Airbnb, we already started our tour that day. Yes! That is possible! So that is airport transport + tour in one! We definitely saved a lot on this day! I opted to have this day to tour around in Ubud since our accommodation is already in this area.

Take note that there are several Bali Swings in Bali. Our guide gave us recommendations what to take. There is one that has a lunch buffet included. There is also one that is the cheapest yet doesn’t have much of a view. The other one is on mid-range pricing yet one of the most famous Bali Swings and this is what we took.

Pura Tirta Empul

I’ve been eager to go here and experience the custom since I have seen the cool pictures online. Unfortunately, it was a holiday and the place was jam-packed. But it didn’t stop me in experiencing what I have been looking forward in doing. I still dipped in the cold water of the temple and lined up with a lot of tourists.

Day 2: Nusa Penida Day Tour

Definitely the highlight of our Bali trip is this not-so-far island from Bali, Nusa Penida. For less than an hour, you can get to this majestic island via ferry boat from Sanur Beach Harbour in Bali.

I actually found the admission fee quite expensive for a small park/viewpoint like this. Nevertheless, the view was amazing and we had fun taking photos around.

Tanah Lot Temple is also included on this tour but we skipped it and just opted to go back to Ubud Market for more souvenir shopping. 😉

Day 4: Seminyak/Uluwatu Tour

Our last full day is a customized tour combining both the Seminyak and Uluwatu area. I just handpicked some of the most interesting spots on these areas to maximize our time. The spots for this day were definitely far off from our accommodation in Ubud so we exceeded our time allotment. Take note that most tours here impose reasonable fees for additional hours. I also had here the most tremendous traffic jam I have experienced yet in traveling. LOL. It took us 3 hours to get back to our accommodation in Ubud from Uluwatu Temple.

Seminyak Beach

It was on the plan to search for La Plancha Beach Bar and Restaurant for the colorful bean bags and umbrellas but it was a fail. ☹ We were probably dropped off on a wrong spot.

Motel Mexicola

I actually want to try this famous restaurant bar during the night time to experience the party scene but it’s just far-off from our accommodation. I just decided to include this on today’s tour for a quick lunch. The interiors were so colorful and undeniably worthy of a shot for your IG feed.

Mad Pops

Right after a filling lunch is dessert of course! We went to Mad Pops for a quick visit for their ice cream and also for a shot with this famous wall art.

oneeighty° at The Edge

Together with Nusa Penida, the experience in oneeighty° at The Edge is the highlight of my Bali trip. I kept on seeing amazing photos of their amazing glass-bottom sky pool over the cliff edge, overlooking a breathtaking 180° panorama view of the ocean.

Uluwatu Temple

Don’t forget to watch the Uluwatu Kecak & Fire Dance on the late afternoon. I greatly enjoyed the show having the sunset as the background. It was definitely a surreal view.

Bali left me in awe. I didn’t expect my experience to be one of the best. I already had this place listed as one of my favorite destinations. It might not be the cheapest but Indonesia in general is cheap to travel. The place is also diverse with countless breathtaking natural and incredible man-made attractions. Good thing, I didn’t focus more on those unfortunate stories that I read. With proper research, open mind, and passion to travel, no doubt that your trip to this wonderful island could be your greatest to date.

HI thank you so much ;-; sooooo i’ve been thinking about this question the past couple of times i went in game, trying to figure out how to describe how i take pictures. for one thing i live in tab mode lmao. meaning you press the tab button on your keyboard to go into camera mode and get all these sexy angles and super zoom and stufffff. i almost always zoom in super far idk why. so there’s one tip. i honestly just play around with going up and down with the q and e keys (i think?) until i find angles i like. i take a lottttt of pictures with so many different angles just so i have a lot to choose from. basically i try to focus on different things in each picture in order to get a mix of the most diverse and dynamic shots possible. you just need to experiment and get creative. i know that’s the most vague advice ever but really just try a new angle that you’ve never considered before and i bet you’ll get cool results. an interesting setting is also the biggest factor, because certain objects and their placements will give you interesting results.

i honestly want to print out your reaction pic to that one post and just hang it on my wall, put it in my heart locket necklace, stamp it on people's faces, start an email thread with it. i love it.

how do you get your sims' facial expressions to line up with your scenes? I feel like my sims' faces are never right :(

tbh i just use a lot of the same neutral poses...my go-to’s are @helgatisha‘s poses lol. they’re the easiest to work with when i do just plain talking scenes, and often i tweak my sims’ eyebrows and mouths with the liquify tool if i want them to look a bit more concerned, sad, mad, happy, etc., it works like a charm!! i also tend to play around with angles, you’d be surprised how much a different angle can enhance a scene.

Indeed, Beto O’Rourke’s counter-rally was a big deal. Trump repeatedly brought it up. But MSNBC’s liberal prime time lineup only showed short snippets of his rally. CNN discussed the city’s anti-Trump march, but didn’t show Beto’s speech. On the flip side, Fox News showed virtually all of Trump’s rally live — even though it lasted more than an hour. The next time someone claims Fox and MSNBC are mirror images of each other, just cite Monday night as an example of the difference…

Trump’s messages

“The wall’s being built, it will continue, it’s going at a rapid pace,” he told his fans on Monday night, despite the political walls he’s up against.

Watching his speech, I was struck by his rhetorical usage of “we” and “you.” He said “WE have suffered a totally dishonest media, and WE’VE won, and it’s driving them crazy. It’s driving them crazy.”

And: “I didn’t save our country,” he said a little while later, “YOU saved our country…” And “the world is watching…”

Cliff Sims sues Trump

This is a novel lawsuit… potentially forcing a real legal proceeding over Trump’s non-disclosure agreements… and it was foreshadowed two weeks ago when “Team of Vipers” came out.

Trump cited Cliff Sims’ NDA, and then a Trump campaign aide threatened to sue, prompting multiple lawyers to say, in effect, “I dare you.” Mark Zaid said he would take up Sims’ case “pro bono.” (I quoted Zaid in this story.)

Now Zaid IS Sims’ lawyer. “The U.S. Government is intentionally and unconstitutionally engaging in a subterfuge effort to use a private entity, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., to do its bidding to silence Mr. Sims when it is really the intense powers of the Presidency coming down upon a sole individual,” Zaid asserted in Monday’s suit.

Per CNN’s Kate Sullivan, “the lawsuit requests a court ruling that Trump ‘may not enforce, whether directly or through non-U.S. Government cutouts, any nondisclosure agreements that seek to unconstitutionally infringe upon his First Amendment rights.'” More here…

Today’s Bezos updates

Monday’s main development was a scoop by the WSJ: The National Enquirer’s parent company American Media (AMI) “sought advice last year from the U.S. Justice Department over whether the publisher should register as a foreign agent.” The DOJ’s response letter, available on the web, all but confirmed it. While American Media’s name is redacted, the details match up perfectly.

Think back to the spring of 2018. Michael Cohen has been raided. American Media has been subpoenaed. The company, wanting access to Saudi financing, has published a fawning pro-Saudi publication. And news outlets have been asking questions about this curious piece of propaganda on supermarket checkout shelves. THAT’S the backdrop for AMI’s outreach to the DOJ.

The government concluded that AMI did not need to register as a foreign agent because, even though the publisher “sought out comments” from a Saudi advisor before publishing, there was no financial deal with the Saudis. The open question: Did AMI publish the brochure with the hopes of striking a deal later?

If so, it didn’t work. Pecker’s lawyer, there was never any Saudi $$ deal. And AMI said in a new statement on Monday that it “does not have, nor have we ever had, any editorial or financial ties to Saudi Arabia.” Here’s my full story…

What will AMI’s investigation find?

After the Bezos allegations against Pecker hit last Thursday, AMI announced that its board of directors had convened and ordered an immediate investigation. Many of us scoffed at the idea of the four-man board investigating itself. But VF’s Joe Pompeo reported Monday night that the board “has retained an outside firm to conduct the probe,” per a source “familiar with the matter.” AMI declined to comment…

Two theories of the case

On “Erin Burnett OutFront,” I outlined two theories about Bezos and Pecker, fully acknowledging that we don’t know if either is what really happened.

#1: Bezos was the victim of a blackmail attempt and a complex, politically-motivated plot that may involve a “Saudi angle” and the Trump White House. His photos and texts may have been obtained illegally. His blog post began to expose the geopolitics and grudges that are involved.

#2: Bezos fell in love with a woman with Hollywood connections and the Enquirer found out, because that’s what tabloids do. His security chief’s probe and the Enquirer’s panicked reaction enabled Bezos, through a blog post, to reframe the story — making him out to be a journalistic hero rather than an embarrassed tech exec.

In this Monday night tweet, the NYT’s Edmund Lee said it more concisely than I can. “There’s still a lot about the Bezos-Enquirer saga that hasn’t been explained,” he wrote, “and I suspect a lot of the theorizing bandied about (including in Bezos’s) own blog post will remain theories. I think Occam’s razor will hold.”

The Russia story is more like Beckett—a mystifying tragicomedy that may drift into irresolution. Did Trump collude, and did he obstruct justice? Mueller may never have the answers.”

— ABC’s “The Investigation” podcast debuts Tuesday with Kyra Phillipsinterviewing former Trump lawyer John Dowd. He told her: “I will be shocked, if– if anything regarding the president is made public, other than, ‘We’re done.'”

Cebu Trip - The First Weekend

2-18-17

I remember waking up pretty early on this day, probably due to jetlag. After looking through snapchat and groupme of the people back home, I heard a knock on the door as my cousin Bernard greeted me and asked if I ate breakfast yet. I told him I haven’t and that I was planning of going downstairs so he accompanied me to eat breakfast in the restaurant that’s below my Lola’s house. There I ordered something I had been craving for a long ass time - longsilog. For the uninitiated, it’s filipino sausage known as longanisa with an egg and rice, though with mine I asked for fried rice... I think XD I also remember liking the Tropicana Twister which I’m pretty sure isn’t here in the state though I could be wrong. It was like the breakfast meal I always ate the last time I went to the Philippines, and it’s one I wish I could have here all the time in the states.

I chatted with Bernard about stuff in general like if I had any plans and whatnot but I told him I don’t really have anything planned. He said I should at least plan what I want to eat since I would only be there for two weeks and said I already ate one of those things, which was the lonsilog.

When we finished eating, we headed back upstairs and waited until lunch would be served. Yes, I know I woke up early, but by the time Bernard and I had eaten breakfast it was already like around 8 or 9 and my Lola usually eats lunch at 11:30. I’m pretty sure while waiting I was doing some WoW stuff, which was knew because I do remember last time not bringing my laptop nor having a connection in the house. Yay for tech upgrades :D

I’m probably going to mix up meals throughout these blogs since It’s been almost three weeks since that day but I think my Lola cooked porkchop? It’s bound to be something pig based since we eat every part of the pig in different ways, so I’m just going to say it was porkchop. They also said that Lola bought a crap ton of Royal Tru Orange because she knows how much I loved that soda. I do still love it, but considering that I was still planning of “watching” my weight I was hesitant to sip all of it. I ended up drinking at least two small bottles and maybe a third one as well = 3 = All in all, it was good and I was pretty stuffed.

After lunch, I took a long needed shower since the last time I showered was right before my plane trip. Then Patrick and I had to go to Ayala mall since we had to go get a sim card for my old Samsung galaxy s5 so that I have a phone to use in the Philippines. We waited for Carl to come by since we were going to borrow her other car, a hyundai matrix. When we got to the mall, we went to the section that had all the tech stuff and went to a stand to buy a sim card - globe to be specific. It had been a while since I used my s5 so holding it again compared to the slimmer google pixel was weird to me. But with a sim card in my phone and with text, voice, and data active, I was able to chat with people on the go again, which is always nice.

After we got the sim I remember wanting to eat french fries from a stand at the mall but wasn’t too sure what it was called. Patrick said it was potato corner and I was in disbelief because I know of a potato corner in the Garden State Mall in the states and didn’t figure it was related to the stand here. But once I saw the small stand I realized it’s the same thing - the main difference is that the one in the states did more than just fries (tots, chips, waffle fries, curly fries) but this one was bound to be just as good. Watching what I was eating, I decided to get the second smallest size, which was about the same as the small in the states, the only difference being that in the states they try and trick you by putting a tissue cone in the cup so that you end up getting less than what you thought you would (those damn capitalists!) But nevertheless, it was just as good as I remembered six or seven years ago.

After we got fries, we also went to get Zagu... or at least we were planning to. I think they moved because I don’t remember them being in an isolated spot, and when we got there we ended up getting Quickly’s instead. I was hoping to get buko pandan shake, but they didn’t have it anymore for that day so I ended up getting Ube. It came with fruits in it that I have no idea what they were but it was a pretty good treat.

After we finished eating our snacks at a table in the food court, we were heading back to the car in the parking garage. We ended up staying outside the elevator for a few minutes because of the indecisiveness of my family in figuring out what they want to eat. Nah, just kidding. It was more a miscommunication because my Dad was saying one thing and my Mom and Carl were saying another. They finally decided to just have barbeque pork/chicken for dinner so when the plan was finalized we finally headed back to my Lola’s house.

We actually arrived at the same time as my Dad so I helped to bring his stuff back upstairs. He had gone ahead of my Mom and I to take care of some business here in the Philippines, and he had just come back from Manila. After helping him settle in, we had dinner and because I had been constantly eating, I remember being so full that I’m pretty sure with 95% confidence I passed out in my bed after eating. Which could be accurate considering I don’t really remember what else happened until the next day LOL

EDIT: So I just remembered that I did wake up again because we went to get Shakey’s pizza for midnight snack XD We got four pizzas and I told myself I’d only eat a few but I ended up eating like at least one of each pizza.

2-19-17

But what I do remember is waking up and doing wow dailies since I woke up mad early again due to passing out and just surfing through the internet. Then my Dad told me to get ready because we were going to go to church at 9 in the morning in a church that had AC. I obviously wasn’t going to argue with that because AC is love, AC is life in the Philippines LOL

So I ate breakfast downstairs with him getting topsilog this time (same thing as longsilog but instead of longanisa it was tappas, a meat) and then I showered afterwards. We decided to take an uber to the church and got there a little early. We went through the mass then took another uber to Ayala because my mom’s phone was acting up, so he wanted to go to where Patrick and I went to get my sim card to try and fix it. After it got fixed, we got Zagu since my mom wanted to also try it again and then we had to leave for a lunch with some of my relatives from my dad’s side of the family.

We took a cab to White Gold House which was a traditional chinese family style dining restaurant. And traditional in the sense that we had a room just for our family with the rotating circle in the center (the name slips my mind right now lol). It was mostly people from my Dad’s side of the family - one of my titos, a few of my cousins from my Dad’s cousins, and my Auntie Sandy and Ninong Roger as well, who were also in the Philippines (again, because they had to take care of some family business). The food was pretty good and Auntie Sandy gave the little kids there some gifts and candy, so you can imagine how hyper they were. All in good fun, of course.

After we ate lunch, we went back to Urgello (where my Lola’s house is) to pack up our stuff since we were going to go check in at a hotel for the first week. We had booked a room at Wellcome Hotel (no that’s not a typo) and it was a pretty nice room. Nice bathroom, space for me to set up my laptop and of course, AC :D Then we hung out at the hotel for a bit as we tried to figure out dinner plans. We decided to eat at a restaurant called Pino which had Filipino cuisine and it was eat all you can. Again, I was dying from being too full so I only went once for regular food. But they had Maha Blanca and puto and because I didn’t know if I’d be able to eat those again later on in the week, I pigged out on desserts. This made me overly full though so my Dad took me back to the hotel in a cab and then I passed out as he went back to the rest of my family at Pino.

Yeah, I was struggling the whole time with eating too much which causes me to get really sleepy. Expect to see that as a repeating thing throughout most of these posts for the Philippines lol

Also, credit to Patrick for reminding me what we did after we checked into Wellcome LOL I’m pretty sure he’ll be my main reference for my vacation so thanks Patrick if you’re reading this :D
