#we’re still catsitting and i snuggled w the baby for a while on Saturday morning which was so 🩶 bc he doesn’t like pets very much. he’s got #pretty severe arthritis so whenever he wants pets you best believe he gets them.. sweet angel i’ll miss him so much 🥺 #then saturday morning roommate and i went to this new ramen bar in the city centre and had some mizamen it was SOOOO good #and the painted street is actually a city project of making some of the very narrow central streets pedestrian only zone and so they’ve #just recently painted part of this street and put CATS on it hehehe i loved it SO much #and then on Saturday night we went to an art/design exhibition and i have SOOOOO many pics form there #from* there i loved it SO much! and there was a concert after it which my friend really wanted to go to so we went #and then as roommate & i live close to the concert place we all went back to ours and had some wine & cat snuggles 🩶 #and THEN from today that’s my silly dog aziza with as you can see a totally appropriately sized stick #<- pic from our 3 hr walk in the park #and now im doing chores and chilling and such so yea!!! good weekend all in all i managed to not think about the week and how i went #through all of Dante’s circles of hell LMAO

i’ve conditioned myself on student-living food for so long now that while i’m back at my parents’ during the holidays i’ve started craving the dissatisfaction of eating shitty packet instant noodles

#personal #uniposting #ok i lied #i just miss making stuff like shoyu ramen for myself in the late afternoons #like. i love my mum’s cooking at home but at uni it ruins going out for indian while bc it doesn’t live up to her cooking sometimes #(<- ignore the random “while” i fkn hate typos in the tags) #also we have a lot of indian takeaway places in england. it is statistically inevitable you’re going to get the shits after one of them #i’m also rly bad with food in general but i found that ramen and soup related things are foods i can actually enjoy for change #and i just never enjoy food. i never want to eat food (until it’s out of necessity) #so i just miss that a bit. i think #the privacy too! #i’m shite at cooking and i don’t enjoy it (the time spent with prep & cooking & clean to time spent eating ratio is ridiculous) #but i will if i have to #idk. as a result i’ve always been insecure about cooking at home with the family around considering i’m not good at it & wasn’t taught much #i like my lonely little ramen rituals

Looking at all the games I never got to play over the years simply due to poverty sucks. I've never played a pokemon game. The only Mario game I ever touched was Mario cart and that was at a friend's house. I had no clue how to make a Club penguin account simply because no one would teach me. And I'll never get to experience most of these games because everything is too expensive or it's too late.

This isn't ment to undermine more serious problems. I was homeless as a kid so I know the struggles, but it really dose suck that kids out there will feel alienated because they can't enjoy the things other kids do. It's heartbreaking...

18) A memorable meal this year?

I flew to SeaTac, thanks to delays I had to meet my friend after work so I caught a train into the city. After walking around I realized I had nothing to do for hours and there was a Ramen Danbo in Cap Hill so I, with all my luggage, walked from Pike Place up to the Cap Hill Ramen Danbo and then shoved my face with as much ramen as I could eat (2 bowls of their Vegan Rekka Ramen) and then very lazily made my way back south to my friend's house.

#if you live near Seattle or NYC PLEASE go to Ramen Danbo #cap hill/brooklyn/manhattan/ i think are the only current US locations but it is the BEST ramen ive ever had #half of why im excited to go to NYC again next year is to try the Manhattan location + revisit the Brooklyn shop #the first time I tried it was the day before my birthday last year and I have literally hunted it out every chance I got #I made my friend take me to the Brooklyn location 4 times in the week I was there #and went twice on a 2 day trip to Seattle #and then bitched last time I was near Seattle but never went into the city proper so didn't get ramen😔 #I miss her so much sorry this turned into a Ramen Danbo post
