but to answer your question!! i think that he does understand the suffering he's causing? and unfortunately i think thats what makes him continue to do it.. like. he does it specifically because the suffering he causes has some Inherent Artistic Value™ to him (really just because he personally enjoys it but he pretends it's some kind of Artistic Statement™); like. he deliberately looks for the community's reactions to his crimes (that's how he found out about that one police sketch LMAO) for the sole purpose of trying to figure out how much worse he can make things for everyone around him (that's why the crimes keep getting more and more horrific each time)

as a result of that. yeah no i don't think he could be reformed... i think that suffering has been part of his life for so long (both his own and others') that a life without it wouldn't really seem worth living for him.. even with whatever the hell he has going on with bruteforce, he's just kinda. irreparably obsessed with human suffering

I don't have that many headcanons about his party, but i do have some :DD! they Do have names, but no one knows Who is Who so im guessing based on vibes. this may be a little ooc so :(

I think Ren has a decent relationship with his party(one where they can tease each other easily, like when they find him hugging the ships pole in Cal Mira XD they seem exasperated!); Based on what I've heard about the LN's from people who have read it. Despite how reclusive he is, and the fact he thinks their NPC's.

I think that(logically), to become an adventurer, you have to be at least 18, so the guy is the youngest in his party XD by quite a long shot i might add :0

Farrie, the martial artist girl, is 18, maybe just 19. She's energetic, spunky and sunshine-like, with a stubborn and fightey bite to her. hates Myne with a burning passion in my head, mainly cause i think I'd be funny for the others in Ren's party, if not Ren himself, having to hold back this small feral girl from beating the fuck out of Myne XD There is a genuine reason tho, its a bit vague in my head but generally she Hates how manipulative and vile she is. She's naturally drawn to Ren due to their similar ages, like a preppy older sister.

Tersia, the hunter with the dual knives is 25, is a cocky and confident stealth based fighter. He's like that older brother that teases a lot(this guys the one messing with Ren for holding onto the pole in that one scene). i don't have much on him, but he's chill, a little concerningly chill when it comes to fighting, maybe a little careless

Welt is the mage with the book. He's surprisingly similar to Ren in personality: Quiet and a loner, but in a "quiet and a little separated, but still interested and involved way". He's a very strong mage and his spellbook has a TON of spells, and the healer of the party, though he's not as strong as Naofumi. Welt is a scholar and graduate, hence the book and fit. I think he'd be the best bet to learn the worlds language.

Finally, Bakta! He's the bearded man with the axe. I have the most on him. At 48, He's the oldest of Ren's Party, and the oldest of All the party members. He's an EXTREMELY experienced adventurer and has been fighting for decades! A tough and proud barbarian type, y'know the one: Big, strong, experienced, laughs loud and likes to drink. He has a wife, who he loves Dearly(despite how much she hates his adventurer job, It's Dangerous!). Bakta hides it well but He's Very concerned that a 16 year old is fighting, nonetheless is a hero and tasked to save the world, and honestly thinks he shouldn't be here altogether. He's very confused at how Ren leads his party, but he doesn't stop it. He's Fatherly to Farrie and Ren(especially). I think he joined the previous sword heroes

I know he's not in Ren's party, but i want to talk about Mald! He's the second oldest party member of all at 43. Awful guy, you know his personality. But i think Ren kicked Mald out himself, due to his awful personality and behavior. he tried to manipulate Ren into doing what he wants while slacking off, Ren caught on quick and booted him immediately, to which he went to Itsuki, and so on and so forth.

quietly slides in here-- your portrayals are all insanely good. although it's been a while since i've really read too much of your writing(SHAKES YOU i need to throw my muses at you more AGH); everytime I do see it, it's like a breathe of fresh air. It's amazing how you manage to capture what I sometimes can see as a pretty one note/one sided character in Broly as having so many layers beyond just fight lusting brute. Waking up in teyvat was certainly not on your bingo card for this year. You had only been playing genshin seriously for about a year or so. You had played before that, but had gotten bored after the Monstadt archon quest, because of the steep ar requirements for the Liyue archon quest.

So waking up in Liyue, specifically wuwang hill was,  jarring to say the least. You had recognized the area immediately. You had basically lived in the crimson witch domain farming for your Hu Tao. Not that you had Hu Tao yet, having lost your 50/50 on each of her reruns. (Seriously! Talk about bad luck!)

As you get up you notice a vague feeling weightlessness, looking down, you noticed that you were partially see-through? What?

You had barely been able regain your composure when you here a familiar song. You recognized it anywhere, seeing as it from was one of the most iconic idles in the game. 

As the director of the Wanshengn funeral parlor sang her song, she suddenly paused, staring directly at you.

“Hello!” She says with a grin walking towards you, “you’re different from the other ghosts that hang around here,” she said with a smile.

“I-“ you opened your mouth to speak, but what were you supposed to say in this situation? ‘Yeah you’re right, I’m from a world where this is all a game and you’re a fictional character lol’ like, you can’t just say that! That’d give Hu Tao an existential crisis! 

…actually maybe it wouldn’t considering her personality, but thats besides the point. 

“…yeah,” you say, “you’re Hu Tao, correct?” You don’t need the clarification considering how much time you’ve spent on this game, but it doesn’t really matter.

Hu Tao laughed, “I’m sure you don’t need need me to confirm, your grace, considering-“

“IM SORRY?” You blurt out before thinking, “what- what the fuck did you just call me?”

“Oh” Hu Tao stared at you for a moment. “You’re the creator right? Everyone here knows we wouldn’t exist without you creating an account!”

“What?” Is the only thing you can’t think about to say, “you- oh my god?” The people here know they’re in a video game? Wait hold on- creator? The fuck?

Hu Tao stared at you for a moment, before a mischievous look washed across her face, “you should come to liyue harbor! I’m sure everyone would be happy to see you!”

“Okay?” You say, and Hu Tao ran off. “Hey- wait!” You didnt know your way to liyue harbor from here, always taking advantage of the waypoints, you go to run after her, but suddenly the world shifted. 

You would’ve felt a wave of nausea if it weren’t for your ghostly form, but one moment you’re at wuwang hill, and the next you’re standing by the waypoint overlooking Liyue harbor.

This was going to be a long day, wasn’t it?

IsagiRin as a ship just doesn't work for me. Odk why just. Sorry I can NOT see your vision bestie. Half of the Blue Lock ships don't work for me especially when centered around Isagi because that boy switches side characters like they're pairs of shoes. In Blue Lock one or two sus or even sweet moments doesn't really amount to much to me because everyone has them here. That doesn't automatically mean date on a riverside resturant. On the other hand I totally could see Bachira x Isagi but I just think of them as really close friends because that's what gives me the most comfort being as some of the people who really saved my life were friends. I think it would be better if Bachira had a friend first and focused on himself before getting into any big relationship. Idk I guess that's more of a personal preferance

SPEAKING OF, I hate people who write Blue Lock smut w a burning passion. I'm not even gonna hit the whole iTS IMMorAL train it just usually sucks all the fun and personality out of the chosen character and is just trying to be as gross ans shocking as possible and twist them into somehow being pervs just bc they get all hyperactive when they play soccer. Like GET THERAPY. Half the time I go to the bllk tag im just scrolling like HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT.

The anime gets a lot of slack but like... It's very difficult to transfer things from one medium to the other especially things as philisophical as Blue Lock

Fandom interpretations of Shidou are usually weirdly ooc because they wittle him down to like how cray cray he is or whatever and completely ignore for example, his respect for people who are also creative and out of the box or his ability to deal with lonliness and being othered by everyone
