israel doesnt gaf about its own citizens so it is actually insane to imagne theyre trying to prevent palestinian civilian casualties
Tumblr media
also: israel currently has thousands of Palestinian prisoners in israeli jails and many of them are charged under 'administrative detention' - which means pretty much nothing; it is an empty excuse to hold Palestinians hostage. their families and lawyers dont know where theyve been kept and for what theyve been arrested. many of these prisoners are children.
israel recently killed 2 Palestinians in idf custody while Palestinian resistance released 2 israelis on humanitarian grounds even tho the state of israel refused to receive them

Ya know, just in case the pro Israel group has any doubt for a split second that they’re on the right side of history, you don’t have to look too far.
A good place to start is the internet.
Sentences you’ll see in the feed of a pro Israel activist:
“Bring our women and children home.” “We want peace.” “Every innocent death is a tragedy.” “Rape is never ok.”
Sentences you’ll see in the feed of a pro-Palestinian activist:
“Hitler was right.” “Wipe Israel off the map.” “Gas the Jews.” “The Jews have big noses.” “Jews are Nazis.”
If the internet wasn’t enough to convince you, then go to a protest of both sides.
A pro Palestinian protest:
Violence. Yelling. Calling for genocide. Tons of masks. Flags of terrorist organizations. Harassing innocent bystanders.
A pro Israel protest:
Singing. Hugging. Crying. Calling for the return of innocent hostages. Calling for a terrorist org to surrender so the war can end. Flags of the only democracy in the Middle East.
You really don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see it.
Those who support Israel support freedom, human rights, and peace. They support a people that was persecuted for thousands of years.
Those who support Hamas support terror, rape, and pedophilia by calling it resistance. They support the beheading of babies, the denial of the holocaust and the kidnapping of holocaust survivors.
This isn’t a nuanced decision.
This is good vs evil. This is radical fundamentalist jihadis against the free world.
If you can’t see the distinction clearly, if you still think the two sides in this war are equal, if you compare October 7th to the retaliation of the IDF, if you can’t differentiate between one side that does everything to minimize civilian death and the other that does everything to maximize civilian death, I don’t know how to say this nicely so I’m just gonna say it.
You are an immoral human being who has lost all sense of right and wrong.
I am deeply sorry for you that this is your existence, and that you have sided with the side Hitler would have sided with.
That should tell you all you need to know.
Choose morality, choose Israel.
Historically, it’s just the smart thing to do.

hey JSYK unwra is lowkey a terrorist org that participated in october 7th. maybe remove that from the recommended charities. PCRF is great tho!
In January 26, there were allegations that against 12 (out of 30,000) of their staff were involved with Hamas. Israel has not provided this evidence to the public still, only to donators who then promptly cut funding. "Of the 12 employees implicated, nine have been fired, one was confirmed dead, and the identities of two others were being clarified." UNRWA has been stated to be a critical part of providing aid for Palestinians even after their funding was cut.
"On February 10, the IDF announced it discovered a tunnel shaft near a school in Gaza run by the UNRWA that connected underground to UNRWA’s central headquarters in the Gaza Strip."
"Lazzarini says UNRWA 'did not know what is under its headquarters in Gaza' and that the reports 'merit an independent inquiry that is currently not possible to undertake given Gaza is an active war zone.'
Lazzarini said that UNRWA staff left the Gaza headquarters on October 12, five days after the Hamas attack on October 7, and that the agency has not used the compound since.
UNRWA, he said, 'is a human development and humanitarian organization that does not have the military and security expertise nor the capacity to undertake military inspections of what is or might be under its premises.'"
The IDF says that they found Hamas infrastructure underneath the UNRWA building, but these claims have not been investigated, because Gaza is an active war zone.
There are other things in UNRWA's past that aren't squeaky clean, I'll admit. And ultimately it's up to you where you put your money. But 2 million Palestinian civilians rely on UNRWA's aid right now.
Sources: Which countries have cut funding to UNRWA, and why? What to Know about UNRWA and Its Controversial Role in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict U.S. admits it hasn’t verified Israel’s UNRWA claims, media ignores it

Idk if it's okay to ask, but I thought that I'd better ask someone with a Palestinian perspective. How many months passed, I still cannot grasp why it's either hamas/houthis/whoever fights Israel and the West are either unexcusable terrorists who are completely evil, who don't have any rational reasoning behind their actions and anyone they're fighting is a poor attacked victim, OR they're picture perfect innocent noble fighters that have never done nothing wrong and any kind of criticism or questioning their methods or ideology means you're a zionist no matter how much you support Palestine and the military resistance of it's people. Or you're an antisemite just because you think that wanton murdering or thousands of people and erasing them from existance with all methods possible is unacceptable regardless of who commits it even if they're Jewish. Why? That doesn't make any sense.
i mean i can answer for hamas part specifically since i can't say much about houthis (i would check out bloglikeanegyptian's posts about them) but — hamas are rarely talked about as a legitimate government or resistance movement and instead portrayed as violent barbarians. its a blatant fact that hamas will never, under the current circumstances, inflict the same amount of systematic and constant damage on israelis as israel does on palestinians. just as a basic fact.
so people are so used to hamas's just... blatant dehumanization, and by extension the dehumanization of palestinian resistance in any form (see: bds criticisms, protests, march of return) that they are resistant to publicly criticizing hamas. there are definitely criticisms of hamas in palestinian society, obviously. we have diverse political opinions. but we usually won't air them out for everyone to see because israel is intent on erasing palestinians first and foremost.
and also— hamas is not like other islamist movements because it doesn't use religion as the main reason for it's efforts. their movement is rooted in liberating palestine first and thats really its only concern atm and it uses islam as a framework for that liberation. so when people call hamas a "terrorist org," they're usually thinking of like... alqaeda and isis for comparisons when they're pretty different ideologies. people tend to equate islam=bad in western politics without really examining what that means.
to be frank, palestinians will be called terrorists no matter what they do. people have been calling us antisemitic for refusing to buy from companies that either directly funded the idf or publicly supported it lol. so people aren't really going to trust those who criticize hamas right now because they aren't sure if this is coming from a genuine place or a place of looking down on palestinians.

Before launching the operation, the IDF used its intelligence units to learn how Shifa Hospital became, once again, a terror headquarters. This time, instead of the previous destruction of organized military Hamas structures in northern Gaza, the IDF took on smaller Hamas and PIJ cells that had taken over Shifa.
During questioning by the IDF Intelligence Corps’ Unit 504, captured terrorists said they returned to Shifa because they felt they’d be secure there, and because there is electricity, running water and available food.
Each terror organization took control of different hospital wards, intelligence has revealed.
Hamas also took over the offices of the Shifa Hospital director.
The IDF seized envelopes inside the hospital containing 11 million shekels ($3 million) of terror financing.
As such, Hamas and PIJ’s hope to turn the hospital into a terrorist hornet’s nest in northern Gaza has been shattered. There is no safe place for surviving cells in the area, and this message will further demoralize Hamas.
The fight at Shifa is not over. Hundreds of terrorists have been killed and captured after they opened fire at the IDF from the hospital’s courtyard, emergency room, “Qatari Building” and maternity ward.
Firefights continued on Wednesday as terrorists barricaded themselves in sections of the hospital, firing on Israeli forces and hurling explosives at them.
Hamas’s actions have caused heavy damage to the hospital compound. Earlier in the operation, Hamas terrorists in the hospital ordered cells outside of the hospital to fire mortars at the hospital buildings to try and force the IDF to evacuate it, according to Hagari.
Remarkably, the IDF’s operation has seen no harm come to a single patient, doctor, medical staff member, or civilian seeking refuge in the hospital.

I think some people on this website are misinterpreting the combined fact that Hamas isn't just a terrorist group its an organized political party with like... Policies... that does have a military wing rather than a loose group of people doing bombings to prove a point so calling them a terrorist org is somewhat reductive, the fact that Hamas is more or less the only group in Gaza who has enough man and fire power to even sort of make the IDF sweat a little (even if they're still hopelessly out matched), and the fact that people in times of war tend to look favorably upon people they perceive to be protecting them no matter who they are, and have concluded from those three facts that Hamas is somehow not a far right religious extremist organization. Which certainly does not follow.

I do think it is shitty and antisemitic to grill every Jew about their stance on Israel, and simultaneously it is endlessly frustrating how unwilling many leftist Jews are to reconciling with their pro-Israel stance in organizing spaces.
I was part of a Jewish law student org and was wildly disappointed to find that every other active member was a zionist. The board did fundraising for the ADL, for birthright trips, they advertised for Israeli party cruises. They thought talking about the IDF training our cities’ police was “too divisive” a topic, they considered the BDS movement and JVP to be “terrorist” groups and that being a member (like I was and am) was “internalized antisemitism.” I was ultimately politely uninvited from the student org once I, as president of a different student org, signed on to a letter standing with Palestinian students.
Like, they wonder why people don’t want to organize with them in “liberation” efforts and then accuse everyone, including Jewish colleagues of antisemitism.
No, this shitty behavior isn’t an excuse or permission for people to BE antisemitic back, but leaving this aspect of the conversation out is annoying AND damaging. And yeah, I DO wonder what my peers’ stances are on this. I suppose I can’t speak for others but it neither surprises nor offends me when other people in working spaces want to know too. When Jews ARE being isolated in leftist spaces, it makes me see red to hear vocal zionists say the reason THEY are not trusted in organizing spaces is for the same reasons.

Israel is going to lose. That's just a given. The remaining question is how many people are going along with the sinking Titanic. It didn't even seem strategic to support Israel since October. Do these people love Israel so much they're willing to follow the IDF soldiers who died futile deaths in the place they sent merkava tanks and battleships at? What do these people have to gain? Do they believe the government's promise that they will not lose when said government used lies to win and is still losing in spite of it?
Who are you even referring to? Who is "these people"?
And the idf is definitely going to win at least in the short term war wise. Idf Def had some embarrassing moments, especially October 7th, but they are absolutely doing some good strategic moves. Since forever they have done things like assassinate and stopped terrorist attacks before they even happened. From the start this isn't like our previous wars but I trust the idf and I hope this ends already. I don't trust the government, I trust the idf, despite everything, I'm guessing tge people who are to blame there are already replaced. And I know so many smart ppl who are serving, or are reservists now.
Yes, we are against Palestinian terrorist orgs, Hezbollah and Yemenis backed by Iran, and more, but just like we did the impossible in 1948 and 1967 I know we will win this war. I don't think it will be a happy win because we've already lost so many people, as well as our trust, and our credibility worldwide. And I think both Israelis and especially Palestinians have suffered too much and hope everyone involved finds a way to heal.

For the First Time, Israel Deployed Its "Eitan" to Gaza - Technology Org
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/for-the-first-time-israel-deployed-its-eitan-to-gaza-technology-org/
For the First Time, Israel Deployed Its "Eitan" to Gaza - Technology Org
Eitan, the latest armored personnel carrier from IDF is the largest and heaviest armored fighting vehicle in the world. Its weight reaches 35 tons, and its 800-horsepower engine allows it to travel up to 1,000 km without refueling.

During a ground operation in the Gaza Strip against Hamas militants, the Israel Defense Forces used their latest Eitan wheeled armored fighting vehicle. In addition, these armored personnel carriers were observed in the north of Israel, where they participated in combat operations against Hezbollah fighters. This was reported by Defense Express.
The authors of the article noted that “Eitan” was first introduced back in 2016, but the series production of this machine began only six years later. At the same time, Israeli military industrialists carefully analyzed the experience of combat operations in Ukraine when choosing weapons for the armored personnel carrier.
2 photos released by the IDF appear to show the first combat use of the new Eitan wheeled APCs.
The new APCs that can carry 12 soldiers were first given to the Nachal Infantry Brigade.

— Moshe Schwartz (@YWNReporter) November 5, 2023
The machine was put into operation this year. According to Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman Oren Giber, Eitan was sent to the Nahal 933rd Infantry Brigade of the Southern Command’s 162nd Armored Division, also known as the Steel Formation, or Utzbat HaPlada.
It was also reported that the new armored personnel carrier was immediately thrown into battle on the first day of the terrorist attack by Hamas militants on October 7.
“On the first day when Hamas fighters attacked Israel, this vehicle took part in the fighting in Zikim, where the Israeli military training base Bahad 4 is located,” the observers wrote.

Some military experts call Eitan the “Israeli giant.” This is probably related to the characteristics of the machine, as its weight reaches 35 tons, its length is 8 meters, its height is about 3 meters, and the diameter of the wheels exceeds 1.5 meters. This is how Israel created the largest and heaviest armored personnel carrier in the world.
The Eitan is equipped with a powerful 800 HP diesel engine, which easily allows the machine to accelerate to 90 km/h and has a range of 1000 km.
In addition to the main armament – a 30 mm cannon, the “Israeli giant” has a 7.62 mm machine gun, as well as an anti-tank system “Spike”.

ISRAEL UNDER ATTACK
Tumblr media
Report from Israel yesterday: “IDF jets flying overhead as I write. Over 150 rockets fired into Israel today. More than 29 injured and others treated for shock; a home in Barzilai was hit - no one hurt. Rockets landed on a major highway - no-one hit. Children had to take shelter under seats on a school bus. No injuries. Sirens are still sounding in the south along the Gaza border.
Tumblr media
The Israeli military is massing ground forces on the border with the Gaza Strip in an effort to thwart possible terrorist infiltration attempts from the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave.
Early Tuesday morning, the IDF assassinated Baha Abu al-Ata, commander of the Iran-backed Palestinian terrorist group Islamic Jihad. Since then, southern Israel has been blanketed by rocket fire from Gaza, with warning sirens sounding as far away as Tel Aviv, in the center of the country. The IDF said that the Iron Dome defense system intercepted 60 of the 160 rockets launched from Gaza as of 2 pm on Tuesday. The IDF conducted a number of retaliatory strikes in Gaza throughout the day as the rocket launches persisted. According to the Israeli news site Walla, the IDF is moving armored forces and infantry units to the border area. Furthermore, senior reserve officers are being sent to the Southern Command headquarters. The major concern, Walla reported, is that terrorist groups will attempt to breach the border and attack nearby communities. The IDF is deploying its forces around these communities in a bid to preempt any such attack. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi said on Tuesday, “We are preparing for further escalation and every scenario.” (By Benjamin Kerstein, The Algemeiner)
“Once again, Israelis are being barraged by rocket attacks, which have disrupted life for millions,” said Jewish Federation of North America spokesperson Rebecca Dinar. “Federations stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel’s resilient citizens across the nation and send prayers for peace.” Jewish and pro-Israel organizations condemned the more than 260 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel on Tuesday and Wednesday. A U.S. State Department spokesperson told JNS, “The United States stands in solidarity with Israel as Israeli families shelter from rockets fired by the Iranian-sponsored Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The U.S. supports Israel’s right to defend itself. Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an Islamist terrorist org backed by Iran, is again attacking Israel with hundreds of missiles aimed at civilians. We stand with our friend and ally Israel, at this critical moment and support Israel’s right to defend itself and bring an end to these barbaric attacks,” tweeted U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman. “The U.S. fully supports our partner and ally Israel in their fight against terrorism and the terrorist group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ),” tweeted U.S. special envoy to the Mideast Avi Berkowitz. “The Administration strongly condemns the barrage of rockets on Israeli civilians and continues to monitor the situation. It’s clear that the main obstacles holding Gazans back are Hamas and PIJ who put violence ahead of bettering the lives of the people of Gaza.” (JACKSONRICHMAN,JNS,11/12/2019)  Several Israelis have been injured, including an eight-year-old girl who collapsed while running for shelter  in Holon. She was evacuated to Wolfson hospital in serious condition. In addition, at around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a factory in Sderot was directly struck by a rocket from Gaza. (JPost, November 14, 2019)

#UNTOLDSTORY . Noam Chomsky? So, apa ia gentar dan berhenti begitu saja? Hm, excuse me? Nah, kita sendiri apa kabarnya? Keberpihakanmu di sisi yang mana? #UntoldStory #RevealtheHiddenTreasure #SMART171 More info @smart_171 Smart171.org ____________ Sumber: https://theglobal-review.com/content_detail.php?lang=id&id=12541&type=107 http://www.alternet.org/visions/chomsky-how-do-we-defend-ourselves-corporate-and-imperial-forces-threaten-our-existence http://internasional.republika.co.id/berita/internasional/palestina-israel/14/07/15/n8qh74-noam-chomsky-kecam-zionis-israel https://www.democracynow.org/2014/8/8/noam_chomsky_what_israel_is_doing
