First off, that sounds so cool to study, can i join? Also, I’m flattered that you’re excited to read my probably very inaccurate perception of Tom dating a mob boss :)

I was gonna wait a little bit to write the next part but I couldn’t help it I frickin love this idea and also mob!Tom

Okay so Tom was like trying not to breathe in the wrong direction because what does ‘keeping tabs’ on him mean?!?!

He started to look at the kids like playing outside his window and be like ‘those…. those are for sure spies’

The next day he got a text from you

‘You can breathe you know. R E L A X, it’s your own home.’

He looked around to see if he could see anyone but there was nO ONE THERE

That Friday (the night of your date) he was sO NERVOUS OMG

Pacing

Tugging at his hair

Changing nEcKtIeS

“wAIT, we’re going out for coffee? I don’t need a necktie?”

He finally decided on a turquoise long sleeved shirt and jeans

He stressed about the way his shoes were tied dammit

He texted you that he was on his way to the coffee shop

He snorted on his way there because

“We met while she was probably blowing up a coffee shop, now we’re going to one for our date”

Little did he know you really were blowing up a coffee shop awh

He pulled up to the shop and saw a really big black van

Like he knew it was yours from one glance because it was just so you

‘I’m here and I want you to notice me but also I don’t want attention’

You saw him and stepped out

You had on sunglasses and a black hoodie over dark blue jeans and black boots with a wedge on them

You had your hair done up not too nice but not just casual either :’)

You walked across the street to the shop and he saw literally as many men as the car would fit all staring at the both of you

He was originally gonna try to hug you but nOT ANYMORE

“Hey, I’m surprised you came.��

“What? Why? I- I asked you out!” He was v confused

“Because you figured out who I am and got scared?”

“Who you are? I mean, you told me your name when you walked me home the other day?”

“No, I mean what I am. What my job is.”

“I… no?”

You grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer

He almost fell into you but you steadied him

“I’m a mob boss. No one has figured it out yet, but I thought it was pretty obvious.”

Everything all made sense

“So what were you doing at that coffee shop the other day?”

“That’s the first thing you ask?

“I just.. I’ve been curious ever since.”

“The owner owes us a LOT of money. We helped him out of a tight spot one time but somehow, the money was never returned.”

“And so you…?”

“Blew it up.”

“If I make a wrong move tonight out of awkwardness are you gonna shoot me”

“Only if you make a really wrong move, but you can’t make that out of awkwardness, so you’ll be fine.”

He physically gulped someone send help

He let you go first while ordering

He paid for your drink

He pulled a chair out for you at the little table

He was this close to bending your damn legs for you

“You don’t have to pretend my arms and legs are broken, you know?”

“Sorry. Just nervous I guess.”

“Don’t be. As intimidating as I’m sure I came off, just relax and be yourself. This is me seeing if I want to date you, not some random person that you’re making up on the spot.”

He was shooketh™

He hadn’t expected something so eloquent to come out of your mouth but it did and he liked you even more for it

Dangerous on the outside and philosophical on the inside :’)
