Honestly, i respect the hell out of just how involved the game forces you to be with seeking mr eaten
Like, when i first started playing, i was having a good time, yknow? Then i discovered u could seek mr eaten, and like, im curious, of course im curious, but theres piles of warnings on that story and when i went to look it up as like, idk risk investigation, i found out that (spoilers btw) it would lose me my character, like my character would just be gone, idk how or why and i dont want to know without seeing it myself, but i knew my character would be for all practical purposes gone if i did it
And like, by this point i was already attached, yknow? I liked this character, i was doing my best, i was being a slut down in veilgarden and trying to become a master criminal on the side, i was having fun and way too emotionally attached to this character to sacrifice them, yknow
But the mystery, the intrigue, what in the name of the masters happened in the seeking mr eaten story???? I had to know
So what i did, was i made a seperate account, a sacrificial lamb, if you will, specifically to seek mr eaten with, i thought that id just dive directly into seeking mr eaten and like, kill off this character or condemn them or whatever horrid fate would happen to them, and I'd get to know the mr eaten story without risking my emotionally invested account, pretty standard strat in these kinds of risk storyline yknow, just make a throwaway to experience it with
Except! Except! That didn't work!
See, to seek mr eaten, you need high stats, you need resources, you need knowledge, you need a large variety of things that u just dont have and dont have the ability to get in the early game, i didnt get anywhere at all by trying to jump right in, my sacrificial lamb could not be sacrificed
So i start playing with her, and playing, and im choosing choices i didnt in my first go and focusing on stats i hadnt on my other account, and suddenly im invested in this character too, they arent a sacrificial lamb anymore, they came down to the neath to hunt down their nemesis, they were a mother whose child was murdered, she was ruthless and practical, cruel at points but not without reason, had a soft spot for children, i had like a whole mental storyline for her
And i went oh. Oh.
Fallen london absolutely forces you to get invested in your characters before youre allowed to seek mr eaten, they will not allow you to remain distant, the really extremely common strat that works in any other game to experience the 'bad route' by making a stupid trash character just wont work, is absolutely foiled!, by fallen london
Fallen london gives you a route it says will take everything from you, and then forces you to gather things to lose if you want to experience it, and i respect the hell out of that

Honestly my biggest fear is to end up writing my characters the same way vivzie does, I feel like she doesn't even try on certain characters(female characters and literally any other that isn't her "uwu baby boi must be protected at all costs" characters like stolas, angel dust). Like imagine completely missing the point of your own character/srs
to everyone pre-release worries and anxieties just as much as I have-- Please take this time to read or explore different interests of books or authors of subjects and genres you like ! In the era of internet where the golden age of information is rusting into brainrot, the less time online anymore the better. I've been taking javascript/python tutorials for myself attempting to make a dating simulator for literal years at this point and its bounced around to the point of where I branched off to develop my own murder mystery 2-d sidescroller !
I wish for this to be a farewell letter to the crushed hopes and dreams I had for the original hazbin pilot and crew has moved on to other things whereas viv attempted to spitefully keep a story she clearly doesn't have any passion over- it is very evident over her lack of care for her own characters purely for the monetary gains of attempting and sadly wriggling her way into industry the way she did is so abhorrent to the world of genuine art and animation I grew up with.
Has Vivzie ever read a Felix the Cat comic strip or Dilbert even Hägar The Horrible? Does she even know about the history and strive of depth that animation has been at for hundreds of years? Does she even like comics, clearly not if she doesn't even have the patience to write her own and horribly rush whichever story she's interested in that day. I've never seen a careless writer be this selfishly unashamed to write literal garbage and surface level 'intrigue' of design and then falling flat face first at EVERY step. Hope she becomes as unbearable of a director as John K. is because honestly even though I'm cringing making that comparison, it's pretty fair in my book considering the outright ABUSE she has always trying to talk or hoard artists into her 'pet project' I recommend above anything else to watch Dan Stamanolous' 'Moral Orel' if you want an actually funny dark comedy or Christy Karacas' fast paced dark horror comic-come-to-life Superjail! for good animattion that doesn't belittle its audience... *[Trigger Warnings for Adult Swim-esque outdated 2007 humor and light transphobia, read for your own triggers if you dont want to though, please!]
The fact that Stollitz is written so flimsily like a wattpad fanficiton of tropes rolled into one is astounding to me, I used to like the dynamic pre-season 2 as I've mentioned on here and @tired-hellowl so I really don't want to get a headache going into how I USED to like it-Realizing the problematic consent issues all of STOLASS is, I physically cannot watch another Helluva or Hazbin promo anymore without rolling my eyes into the back of my head.
To the anons and people who used to also enjoy vivs work, there are other artists and there are other stories to tell. If you wish to be inspired from Dante's Inferno/Hell or WESTERN CHRISTIAN BASED RELIGION keep in mind what source material you're doing because I don't even think vivzie has picked up the bible once in her life.... And I say this as a drifter in the world who believes in reincarnation I don't really vibe with the athiest stereotypes however, I don't believe in most religion but more power to people that do get hope and love from their teachings and cultures.
She entirely missed the mark for several years, nearly a decade. Viv has had time and time again chance and opportunity to give a chance of storytelling with demons and what does she do? Adult Cartoon that has the demons scream 'FUCK SHIT DAMNIT DAMNIT LOOK IM SO HORNY AND SILLY AND WACKY WOAHH THE SCREEN IS CONSTANTLY MOVING YOU CAN NEVER HAVE A SECOND TO BREATH IN ANY AMOUNT OF WORLBUILDING OR SETTING BECAUSE FUCK. YOU.'--
I have said this time and time again- there is no substance or worth about Helluva Bosses or Hazbins writing, even without the show not being released because Amazon seems ashamed about it, I know it'll be a shitshow.
Honestly at this point I agree with the redesign community, take any character you used to like and rewrite them until it's unrecognizable from the original source material, let those fuckers in space fight alien pirates or hell take them out of the heaven and hell trope and just flip it on it's head entirely out of earth or wherever you want to set your story! I'm personally redesigning angel to be a slight aid to my addiction help via rewriting him into my murder mystery heheh while keeping the sexual abuse and recovery in mind because woah that shit happened to me too man !!!
I wish the best to any future writers, animators, programmers, lovers of animation or art, you can do what you put your mind and hands to! Spread more positivity and love then hate in this world please guys, this'll be the last time I pop in I promise I'm trying to get a better job and hopefully get accepted in a community college that i've been on the fence over trying to do more online coding ! The sky is the limit!<3

*slams door open* ALRIGHT I KNOW IM LATE BUT Y’ALL BETTER HAVE DONE YOUR HOMEWORK BY NOW OR ELSE IM TOSSING Y’ALL IN THE ABYSS
This has honestly been in my drafts for weeks and I’ve been fighting to finish it. I gotta get this out now before another hyperfixation takes over (spoiler alert: it already has)
Before I do I would like to call out publicly three star students, because one I appreciate them and two I just really want them to see my shit since I feel appreciated. @carpe-yeet-em @ceci-seesaw and @bogos-bint3d thank y’all for being Star students
Quick warning: This WILL contain spoilers for the series. It’s nothing super major or plot twisty-The series is in its very early stages so it’s nothing that you wouldn’t find out by you know, reading the thing wink wink nudge nudge. However I would suggest reading it first so you at least have an understanding of it
OKAY THOUGHTS
Holy shit this series is so good. I’m not joking I’m looking forward so much for this series and how everything plays out, because I can tell this is going to be a really intriguing story and I’m excited for it. I would say the thing I’m most excited to see is the relationship between Shen Yuhua and Chu Tian. They’re just, they’re so sweet I really can’t wait to see how their relationship grows.
Okay I’m not really good with expressing my thoughts so let’s move on TO THE CRACK THEORY SECTION BABEY YEAAAH
Theory number uno: Tf is Chu Tian doing? I think it’s pretty easy to see, he’s trying to create an army against the Chaoyang palace. He wants revenge against Shen Yuitian and is only playing along with Shen Yuhua for now. But I think he either does really care for her or will grow to really care for her. So he’s trying to destroy the blood pact so he doesn’t have to hurt her to achieve his end means. And I bet Shen Yuhua will eventually learn to go this side
Theory b: Qiao Yu will join the group and become an older sister to Shen Yuhua. There’s really only two ways it could go down with Shen Yuhua and Qiao Yu, either rivals or sisters. I don’t really see rivals working out, cause Yuhua doesn’t really care, but for my own heart I could totally see Qiao Yu being a surrogate older sister to Shen Yuhua, which would be a great but heartbreaking parallel to her actual older sister
Theory 3 (the big one): Okay, let’s talk about the big mystery surrounding one of the characters. Not Chu Tian, not Shen Yuitian, not even Shen Yuhua.
Let’s talk about Swallowtail
First off: BEST BOY WE LOVE HES AMAZING
Now for the actual theory, Swallowtail is undoubtedly the biggest mystery in Doatf, he pretends to be a useless servant to Shen Yuhua but actively sabotages her chances of marriage, but also protects her with his life. Why? Why is he acting as such? In fact, in his introduction it is noted he was in fact a disciple but was demoted. He’s clearly skilled, why would he pretend not to be in order to be demoted?
It’s because I believe he’s working for Chu Tian, and always planned for Shen Yuhua to fall into the abyss.
What evidence do I have to back this up?
…..I did say it was a crack theory
Okay I do have A LITTLE to back it up. But it doesn’t start with Swallowtail, it actually starts with the second biggest mystery of the series, Wen Qinglan, Yuhua’s mother. We know her crimes, murder, but more important conspiracy and adultery with a demon. Why was Wen Qinglan working with a demon? I believe she was working to free Chu Tian from the abyss. Why? Because I said so >:(
Anyway obviously when Wen Qinglan died, the plot must progress and there had to be a new person to get a Shen into the abyss, and would you look at that. There’s a Shen who’s been completely shunned from her family that needs a servant.
This is why he had to sabotage Yuhua’s suitors, he couldn’t have her leaving the palace or else it would risk the whole operation. On top of that, remember how Yuhua’s older sister said that it was Swallowtail who pushed her in. Why on earth would she say that? He’s clearly devoted to her, and despite maybe Yuling pushing the blame on him, why would anyone believe that? He wasn’t even near the scene?
Unless of course, they already know he’s shady as fuck, or have evidence to show he’s shady as fuck.
I cannot stress enough how much crack this crack theory is based on. I am genuinely pulling strings and putting on tinfoil hats here.
But I’m having fun so I don’t care >:)
I do want to say just as a statement-I don’t think Shen Yuhua is some chosen hero. The abyss story is so clearly made up, and I do really think she doesn’t have strong magic. But just because she’s not strong or special in one area, doesn’t mean she can’t become something wonderful. And I just can’t wait to see what she becomes in this comic. I’m so excited for the rest
Alright the rest of my thoughts are completely scattered that’s all ya getting PEACE

hi thanks for the recommendation im so confused but so interested
hah, yes, i didn't give any information at all huh.
The Flower That Bloomed Nowhere is what one might call a hard fantasy mystery novel. It follows the morbid, self-effacing Utsushikome of Fusai, a pre-eminent medical arcanist-in-training who practices thanatomancy*—during a time when the average human life spans just under 700 years—in the hopes of finding a cure to a very peculiar condition. It's a dense, patient read; so patient in fact that for the first fifty chapters or so you will have to be content with being drawn along by exacting worldbuilding detail. If you can stomach not really knowing where the story is going, it does such a good job making exposition intriguing and even tense. The setting is well-lived in. The work has put a lot of thought not into the particular mechanics of its magic system, but also its history-spanning sociopolitical tensions—much of which you are introduced to through the interpersonal conflicts between Utsushikome's peers. The story's particular attention to detail is practically a necessity to producing the sort of visceral tension of a murder mystery. And, honestly, even in the moments when the plot lost me I was so invested in these characters' inner worlds I was forced to turn the page anyways.

2008~ ps2 p4 era will always be intriguing to me as someone who didnt really uh. experience that time of p4. I mean yeah it’s humbling without all the new quality of life golden has but it’s certainly a different flavor that I can appreciate. yeah there’s no marie or adachi sl or okina or a better shuffle system ect ect but it’s so charming trying to mimic the experience youd have with it within its prime time. the graphics are different the 4:3 ratio is cozy to me chie and teddie’s voice actors are different and it’s a bit easier to actually focus on the murder mystery at hand without all the pop and add-ons golden throws at you.
the fog is … so hard to see through with the limitations of the ps2. the rain and particles and transparency of the system is something so. entrancing . the dull colors and general color scheme here actually brings home the vibe p4 was trying to bring home, i like to think. golden has its own charms and is something so much brighter than ps2 version. a mod that would try to mimic the original ps2 release within golden itself wouldnt really give you that same experience at all. it felt a bit distracting but im still glad golden is a thing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
while i cant say the same for p4 and golden, i have played p5 on the ps3 all the way back in 2017 and playing royal was like wow wowww wowww wowwww <- unsure if they mean it affectionately but they cant deny it was a fun experience. yoshizawa? maruki? yal being shoved aside for some. freak (azathoth). this kid? (jose) lavenza screentime? small potatoes?
i dont know where im going with this honestly but as a persona fan i think it's nice to take the time to play both versions of the game because i assure you they all have different charms and vibes and something to appreciate

5 reasons to watch the sound of magic ??? i'm kinda very intrigued bc of the gifsets
HI ok honestly the only reason i needed was ji chang wook im in love with him and he's just !!! a really really great actor he's so good no one's crying face gets me emotional like his ! and the drama itself is really magical and BEAUTIFUL but also has a crime murder mystery aspect to it !! and the theme of like being forced to grow up too soon and having to abandon the things you love because the harsh reality of Life doesn't give you enough time to enjoy them and also the whole thing of society seeing you as a bad person just because you're different and learning to heal and standing up for yourself and all those things ITS ALL JUST SO GOOD also its only 6 episodes soooo <3 a short fun watch with the prettiest visuals and a sweet story

Books Mero read, 2023
Gonna try and do this again, so here are short reviews of the books I read this year!! More gay books, but also some not gay stuff this time, what a surprise!
Red, White and Royal Blue, by Casey McQuiston - This was a rec from a friend and the first actual romance-and-not-fantasy gay book I read, and.... it’s great! I absolutely devoured it, and, sure, its a silly premise. The US’ first son and the prince of england fall in love!! Scandal! I was a bit aprehensive  when first getting into it at how... tasteless it might get? But this book was surprisingly self aware, and indulges fully in it’s premise, and in turns tells an actually pretty good love story! The author says in the aknowledgements that this evoked some form of escapism and joy to the readers, given our... current world climates (this book came out in 2021, and... yeah) and I can honestly say that this book was pretty successfull in that. It left me feeling more hopeful, maybe not towards the world in general but to myself at least.
Witchmark by C.L. Polk - Of the edwardian fantasy (or gas lamp fantasy? Im not sure) books I’ve read, this was one of the weaker ones. Interesting enough premise about a veteran doctor in a war hospital trying to both hide his magic, help people and solve a murder with the help of a charming and mysterious fellow. But it kinda.... doesn’t really go anywhere? Sure things happen and mysteries are uncovered, but this book didn’t really have a strong enough... anything, really, to stand on its own. The romance is fine but is mostly just there, and the conclusion didn’t have much oomph either. It’s pretty clearly a lead in to a series, but, given I didn’t see anything special in this one and the other books don’t have mlm protagonists... I think I’ll skip em. I enjoyed this book but not enough to want more.
Widdershins by Jordan L. Hawk - A good enough book about a shy nerd working in a museum, a mystery, and his eventual boyfriend. And the lovecraftian horrors they find, of course. A fun one with sex more graphic than I expected, but still enjoyable. I might pick up the rest of the series at a later date but for now Im sated on this one.
The Perfect Assassin by K. A. Doore - Another just fine one, to be honest. A pretty interesting setting, a town suspended by high beams above a desert, with scheming between its leaders and an assassin class to do their biddings. But thats pretty much the most interesting aspect of the book. The characters are ok, the romance is slight (though the MC is ace, and I really did like that a lot and how he was portrayed, even if it was not that big a deal), and the mystery... good enough but didn’t really keep me guessing or too intrigued. I liked parts of this one, but, again, not enough to pick up the rest of the series given that they star different characters and lack the mlm aspect that appeals so much to me.
Smoke and Shadows by Tanya Huff - I picked this one up almost solely cause I found The Fire’s Stone, which I read last year and is by the same author, so enjoyable. This one felt like one of her more ‘serious’ novels in comparison, not that it has that much more serious tone, but that this one certainly felt more adult. Contemporary fantasy (contemporary here being the 00s) set in a TV studio, very fun characters and very enjoyable plot throughout. It took a little while to get actually really engaging, to be honest, but I still liked it a lot. Might pick up the rest of the series later.
A Restless Truth by Freya Markse - I picked this one up cause I loved the previous book in the series, A Marvelous Light, so much. And honestly, the author has done it again. Loved this book a whooole lot, had loads of fun with it. A murder on a transatlantic ship in the Edwardian era, pretty interesting magic system, veeery fun characters. Sure this one had some graphic (to me) sex scenes, this time between women, but that didn’t take away from anything else here. Can’t wait for the last in the trilogy to come out, was very happy to see it seems to be slated for this year.
A Power Unbound by Freya Markse - Aaaand said last book of the trilogy came out! And I read it! And it’s again, very very good! I do have to say that it’s probably my least favorite of the series though, the plot felt less intriguing in general, which, fair, it’s the last book in a trilogy, there’s less to be revealed. The book also holds the tradition of only the two romantic leads of the moment being POV characters, but there were a couple of moments where it felt that one of the other characters really should be taking the stage. It also has a bit less balance in the plot<->sex scene scenario, compared to the other two... Regardless of these faults, though, it was still a very enjoyable read! Just not as good as the previous books, even if it was a fulfilling end to the trilogy.
Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett - My first discworld book! I’d only read Good Omens from Terry before and... Well now I get why he was a famed author holy shit. I absolutely loved this, and will be reading other discworld books for sure! It’s interesting thinking about how this book reads in comparison to the other books I’ve been reading, or at least most of them. The characters and story being told are important, sure, but this reads like the main purpose of the book is being an enjoyable read, if that makes sense? Its both dense and light, insofar as there’re paragraphs dense with information, but its tonally handled in a very light manner, and lots of that information is there to color in the reading experience. I’m not sure if its cause I haven’t read all that many comedic books (its been years since I read hitchhikers guide, for example) so maybe its a genre thing, but either way. Absoute joy to read.
The Music of What Happens by Bill Konigsberg - Another romance, and this one was waaay too adolescent for me. The main characters are teens, so sure that makes sense and it did fit, but for most of the book I was more cringing at some of the interactions and the way the characters thought than finding it charming. Realistic? Sure in some ways. But not very enjoyable to read. I started skipping some paragraphs starting on the second half but in the end I did enjoy the book. There are some interesting and unexpected things that happenned, and the characters get more serious and less dismissive of stuff by the end, which was nice, but yeah not the best experience overall.
The Witness for the Dead by Katherine Addison - When I saw that the Goblin Emperor had a sequel and said sequel focused on a secondary gay character I was. So happy. And, luckily, with reason! This book is great, I don’t think its as great as the goblin emperor, but still amazing. The world the author’s built is so compelling, so detailed, it’s a delight to dive in again. On the surface, this book looks like a regular-ish murder mystery, but it’s more of a story where a murder mystery happens to feature, having very little to do with the second half and with the resolution coming more at the last possible second, so in that aspect it did leave me wanting, but in all the book was so filling that I honestly didn’t even miss that gratifying mystery resolution much.
The Grief of Stones by Katherine Addison  - Direct sequel to the above book, and its much of the same in terms of being very very very good, having some mysteries that are not really the point, and having a great setting. Lots of introspection by the main character this time, which I did enjoy quite a bit. ...Not much more to say other than just as good as the previous one, reccommend just as much.
Lord Mouse by Mason Thomas - I don’t have much to say about this one. It’s... mediocre, but not in the sense that its bad, in the sense that it’s kinda bland? There are good moments here and there, but nothing really gripped me, and the romance fell completely flat, especially for the weird ending that was given to the characters. A fun enough read, if not memorable or special, though you can see that the author put a lot of love and effort in.
Simon Snow trilogy by Rainbow Rowell - I’m very very torn on these books. I absolutely devoured them, reading all three in a little more than a week, and I did really really enjoy them! The first book especially I did adore, and the ‘harry potter spoof’ vibes from it are impecable! But unfortunately that was kinda one of the best things the series had for itself, and after the first two thirds of the first book its mostly dropped. Sure theres a lot of discussion on what comes next for a chosen one, which was really interesting! ...but there’s no proper resolution, and that’s kinda the problem. With the second book especially, everyones a bit too much of a downer, even if I do enjoy the characters a good deal. The lead’s romance in the third book I adored, and there was a lot of stuff there that resonated a lot with me but... I don’t know, there wasn’t a real conclusion, the book just... stopped. Which might be part of the point, tbh, but then theres a half assed epilogue that tells you nothing and for no reason is set a year later and its half a page and it kinda made me mad. Another thing is that the magic system for this universe is great! Its so interesting, has so much potential, BUT as with a lot in these books, it features strongly in the first book then it’s more a set dressing with which nothing is done in the sequels. ...either way, I think these books are worth it, pretty entertaining and fun, even if they kinda start unraveling. Carry On is amazing, Wayward Son is alright and Any way the Wind Blows is a mixed bag, but at least there’s the main romance that, to me at least, kept going strong.
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin - My first Le Guin book! And honestly I can’t quite say ‘I get it now’ like I did with Thief of Time and Terry Pratchett, but at the same time I can? Cause on the surface the writing style, long paragraphs with little dialogue, doesn’t really appeal to me? But it did draw me in by the end, with methodical and.... well constructed storytelling I guess. A lot happens and very little happens at the same time, and its all very broad and decisively told, with characters that aren’t the point but at the same time are... I don’t really know what to say, really. I liked it well enough, it really feels like staring into another world, never knowing everything but just enough to keep interested. Lets see if I like the sequels too I guess.
Tournament of Losers by Megan Derr - In her description at the end of the book, Megan Derr says she’s been accused of fluff and nonsense, and, yeah, that tracks. This book is predictable as can be, not outstanding in any way, but it did make me feel pretty good, and the romance was good enough that once it got going I devoured the rest! I think I liked this more than lots of other ‘just ok’ books I’ve read, so honestly? Here’s to fluff and nonsense.
Board to Death by CJ Connor - It hurts a bit to say it but..... this book’s bad. Not really awful or offensive in any way, but bad and a bit bland, which is really too bad cause there’s definite potential here, and somewhere somehow this could’ve been a pretty good cozy murder mystery book! But alas. I think the worst part, really, is that it’s not that well written. It’s cohesive enough, but there were more than a few times where it got confusing especially when time passed in the story and it didn’t really tell the reader that, which left me questioning what happenned when and when was now, which, for a mystery book, hurt the experience a good bit. It kinda felt like there wasn’t a real editing pass, which um... given the aknowledgements, there was. The mystery itself too was flimsy at best, with the protagonists never really making assumptions, more just getting names of people to question, moving down that list, getting more people to question, and eventually one of those people just straight up tells them who the killer is. The motive for the main character involving himself in the investigation wasn’t convincing either, since the police involve themselves from the get go, with no apparent issues on their part, and the protag didn’t really feel like he needed to get the mystery solved ASAP. But he tells us that he does, for some reason or another. The characters are fine, the plot’s (mostly) ok, and in the end it’s an entertaining enough read (even if I think I finished it more to be able to say I did than for pleasure), though it doesn’t feel like there’s nothing really going for it, which is a shame, since it does feel like a passion project.

not really any previous experience with consuming or participating in any d&d/ttrpg content, except for finding it intriguing from afar and watchin like a couple of random oneshots, but it definitely kinda has minorly consumed my life atm lol (and by that i mean. i am listening to naddpod 24/7. i cant stop. i wld say to send help but i don’t think i want it.)
current pc faves have been acofaf andhera (adore that fucking loser <33), resident frogman prince gerard, n beverly toegold the fifth ;p

- the other naddpod campaigns. esp the main ones but the smaller ones i'm super eyes at as well. as of rn i am pretty much obsessed with it and am trying Desperately to finish campaign 1 so i can at least consume some good fucking fancontent w/out worrying about spoilers. anyways yeah naddpod Currently been the thing ive especially been losing my mind over *gnashes my teeth and does grabby hands* it's simply sooooooo. idk even but it is so. girl i literally started it like 2 weeks ago and i've barely been listening to music (something i tend to do very very often) be i'm just listening to it all the fckin time. like as i am typing this im losing my mind a bit over ep. 51 the nannerfly effect which i am halfway thru and having some goddamn Feelings about. ok im gonna stop talking now but yes i Do indeed think naddpod is pretty neat (as probably evidenced by this wholeass chunk of text *flashes u an awkward smile* whoopsie)

What IF do u recommend? 👀
ALRIGHT so since i keep falling on new if games and have a lot on my to read list I will make a second part of this list ozijfazorgj. But for now here are some of the IF games i highly recommend!
The Wayhaven Chronicles : First I'm starting with the obvious (that I've already recommended before i know shut up) Wayhaven Chronicles! After a strange murder in the usually tranquil town of Wayhaven, the newly appointed detective (aka the MC aka you) is gonna have to work with 4 beautiful vampires to "solve" this mystery. It currently has two books with a complete demo of the third book available. Honestly if you have followed my blog recently you saw me scream about this game cos I am obsessed and seriously i really recommend it, even if vampires aren't usually your thing.
Fallen Hero Rebirth : Oh boy, Fallen Hero, literally everything is in the title, and not at the same time. Basically you play as a former hero who's decided to become a villain for reasons i will absolutely not spoil bc it would be criminal. But know that this story is glorious, you can choose what kind of villain you would be (from an anarchist/anti hero type to a full blown heartless villain, everything is possible) and choose how your villain costume looks like. And of course you have different love interests all of them super interesting (tho i am very soft for Ortega, the Doctor and Argent but mostly the Doctor got me like 🥺🥺🥺 ). It currently has one book out with the second book demo almost all out called : "Fallen Hero Retribution".
Mindblind : Alright this, made me cry. Like actual tears came out of my eyes and i hate it ezokrafoprkg. In a world where the majority of people either have telepathy and other mental superpowers OR at least enough mind defense to not be too affected by those mental superpowers, your MC is the only "Zero" who's mind is basically an open book and a possible puppet for anyone with mental superpowers. Sucks even more when the MC family are basically renowned superheroes. For now only the demo is out and honestly i can't wait for the full book because this story has me hooked!
Speaker : Once again, a supernatural story because i can never get tired of them okay??? This time you can play as "a Speaker". Born from a generation of Seers, you went to the world a few seconds after ur twin sister, which means she got the traumatising visions while you're the only one who can "understand" them somewhat. Or at least try to make sense of them. But of course everything becomes troublesome when visions get more frequent and violent. Great premise, Lovable LI's (looking at Az, Rory and Kana 👀👀) what more could you want?
When It Hungers (formerly Smoke and Velvet on dashingdon) : First just so you know, the game is currently on dashingdon as Smoke and Velvet but will be moved to Twine with the title as "When it hungers" (u can go see the author tumblr if u curious). Anyway, as a lover of horror stories i can't wait to see more of When It Hungers, even if i made the mistake of reading this at night the first time 😔. The coolest thing ? You can choose to make your MC in three different monster : Basilik, Hellhound or a Haunted Doll, and each of them have a different past based on that choice.
A Tale Of Crowns : Basically A Tale of Crowns is a story based on a fantasy world (inspired by the Middle Eastern) where the big ruler aka The Crown is sorta chosen by the gods and can only be recognised by their golden eyes. Except that usually future crowns are found years before a current crown's death, and your character has been running away their whole lifes. I honestly don't even know how to begin to tell you how much i love this story. The universe built around it is just so well done, the love interests are all interesting for different reasons and i feel transported every time i read it. Even now saying this feels like too little but as usual im not good with english, but yeah just trust me it really deserves more than one look.
The Hunt : Demon Eyes : Just like When It Hungers, this IF is still on dashingdon but will be moved to Twine just so you know opzeakfaz. Anyway the premise is basically you play as a hunter, as in a hunter of supernaturals, whether you think all supernaturals are bad or think there are good ones is up to you, though u know, most of the love interests are supernaturals pzokfga. BUT! One day u end up possessed by a demon you were hunting and only break free TWO YEARS later! So u gonna have to try and find out what the hell happened all this time. There's not much out yet but im already really intrigued by the premise!
Bloodmoon : Who doesn't love a good story about werewolves? If you don't then im sorry you have such a lack of taste 😔. A story which updates every full moon (literally) about a clan of werewolves who just moved into a city, and unfortunatly it doesn't go as well as it could. Honestly between all the unique RO's (Vicky is my personal favorite even if Carrie and Shawnie also got me heart), the twist on the relationship between the wolves and the moon, and the whole story and dynamics between all the characters, Bloodmoon is a delight to read. And yeah i definitely re-read it way too many times oiajgfaoiej.
The Exile : Are you tired of fantasy stories? Well too bad here's one more because i love them!! And boooy this one got me obssesed. Playing as a former commander who was once admired by the kingdom they had vow to protect, they are now a fallen hero due to a tragedy that they cannot even remember. Between new encounters and former allies, trouble just keep finding them no matter what. Sorry for the bad summary but honestly the demo of this story got me so hooked!!! And you can basically choose what kind of "semi magic creature" your mc is! (werewofl, phoenix, etc). Seriously give it a go you won't regret it

oh god tell us your kunikida thoughts because there is like NO appreciation for him in this fandom (im anon from before btw <3)
Things I Adore About Kunikida Doppo
Tumblr media
Oh hi! 🥰 I was guessing that it was you because of the notifications hehe.
Once again, I agree very much that there’s practically so little appreciation given to him and that he’s one of the most misinterpreted and underestimated characters of the franchise. Therefore, this post is going to be fully dedicated to appreciating the littlest things about our beloved Kunikida Doppo. ❤️
As a short note, I’ll probably start by the first impression he left on me. I remember watching the first ever episode of BSD, and thinking “oh yeah there’s the clumsy MC. oh yeah there’s the mysterious and dramatically-introduced brunet. oh yeah there’s the- 😳🦋!” I have absolutely no idea why, but even the first appearance of him struck me if it makes sense? I of course didn’t think anything further about him as he was a new character after all, and it usually takes a really long time for me to internalise characters as my ‘comfort‘ character and it requires lots of readings/deeper understandings, but he was the only one that left a trace in my memories after watching the first episode and the only motive that made me continue watching the anime after a few months of break.
warnings: little mentions of anxiety/loss of a loved one
1) Dedication and Expertise
I adore his dedication and passion in whatever he does. He always has this confident aura that just indicates that he knows what he’s doing and knows what he wants, and always pushes his limits to obtain it. I love seeing his sharp and firm gaze appear in those moments of determination, both in the anime but mostly in the manga (I’ll add some examples below <3 I’ve been noticing the different types of his gazes in the manga, and this is one of them, on which I’ll hopefully write an analysis one day. also I removed the texts from the panels and cropped them so don’t worry about getting spoiled!).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That stare of his gives me more butterflies than anything else on the world.
And as for the anime, this scene is honestly the summary of what I’ve been trying to say. I remember so well the first time that I realised he didn’t shoot the men but shot the guns they held, without shedding a single drop of blood. Oh how do I even tell you… I was smitten. Just how skilled in using a gun must you be to be able to aim that well? When he says that “murder isn’t a hobby of his”, he means it and I find it extremely intriguing. That scene means that he put additional effort in his skills and practice in order to follow that rule of his, and I don’t think many people recognise how incredible that actually is. We’re all inclined to think of a character committing murder as an element of great interest, because it’s not something as widespread in real life, therefore we tend to overlook the opposite view of it, which is in my opinion just as interesting to analyse. Sadly, we are not given enough data on his past to be able to try deducing his mental state by combining it with his ideals, but I’m crossing my fingers.
The way he outwitted Akutagawa despite being extremely underadvantaged in terms of special ability is another proof of how well he is able to read the room, analyse the circumstances and make a plan as quickly as possible thanks to his past experiences and physical/intellectual expertise. (And you can actually see that determined stare of his in this clip too, when he aims at Akutagawa and cites his phrase <3.)
2) Seriousness and Sense of Responsibility
I adore how seriously he takes things, even if it’s unnecessarily serious sometimes. This is just his way of showing that he cares. It is evident that he constantly has difficulty with comfortably showing appreciation and giving praise unless he’s alone, cf. chapter 37/the end of the Guild Arc where he was supposed to acknowledge Atsushi and Kyouka’s efforts and praise them as their senior, but ended up rambling incoherently instead. Or staying next to Atsushi when he was in the hospital, all while claiming that he ‘did not care about it at all’.
Can we also talk about how big of a gentleman he is? (maybe except to Dazai ha!) He is unexpectedly good at tenderly handling children (OVA & season 3) and pets (Wan!) and it has me crying.
I love that he’s literally the monument of a good sense of responsibility. I don’t think many people realise how much of a backbone this sense of his is to the Agency because it is always coated with a comedic texture. Not to mention that this leads to him being boiled down to a two-dimensional and superficial symbol of anger, boredom and “party-pooper”, which is why I have never been a big fan of him being used solely for comedic purposes. Hopefully, season 4 will finally give him some deserved spotlight T^T.
I love how he always seeks for order, because it comforts him and helps him create a simulation of the ‘ideal’ world he has in mind. I don’t know yet what’s the origins of this obsession of his, but whether it’s because of the loss of a loved one or another kind of traumatic experience, I think that if we were able to see his eyes when he cleans up a physical or mental mess, we would witness an immense sparkle of gain of comfort and a high level of anxiety being soothed.
3) Moral Compass and Humanity
I have always said this and I still stand by it, one of the things I appreciate the most (if not the most) in Kunikida is his trustworthiness. As someone with mild trust issues, he’s just been giving off that comforting and stable trust vibe that I’ve been so longing for seeing in people. Since his first ever appearance in the story, I’ve just known for a fact that I would be able to trust this man fully, that he wouldn’t use tricks or manipulative ways to do as he pleases.
I love how well he intelligently knows the difference between “unrealistic goals” and “goals that people have labeled unrealistic because they didn’t try hard enough”. He himself defines himself as both a ‘pragmatist’ and ‘idealist’, and as contradicting as it sounds, there’s no better way to define him. He’s still on the way of learning to distinguish the fine line between them, he is suffering at times but I am truly so proud of the development he went through. His character arc is sadly one of the least mentioned/appreciated ones, but it’s making me so happy. I truly get so happy when I see him learn one more thing, achieve one more thing through his actions, cry, break down and stand up even stronger than before.
I love that he’s a human being who has his own moral compass and who follows it no matter how bitter things seem. It is literally so attractive to me that he has his inner compass as his guide to make decisions and takes action according to it, refusing to compromise. Staying ‘righteous’ (I’m not a fan of this word since it’s a bit lacking, but I really couldn’t find a better word to describe it here) in the world that he’s living in is so painful. We see it in his every word, every past experience, every memory.
He’s doing such a good job and I’m so proud of him for it.

Im Changkyun - Natal Chart
- requested by @jookyunz
Can’t remember if you wanted the 18+ section so I included it at the bottom and marked it incase you wanna skip it ❤️
(Not claiming to be an expert this is just for fun please don’t take anything too seriously!) Hope this is helpful and that you enjoy it 🥰❤️
Personality: Aquarius Sun, Aries Moon, Capricorn Mercury, Aquarius Mars
Aquarius Sun comes with lots of intrigue and lots of complexity - like the other air signs Aquarius is very adaptable and tends to prefer an “exciting life” (though earth signs tend to see this lifestyle as pure chaos lmao)
Aquarians tend to be intrigued by mystical things due to their very logical view of the world, this logical side can often lend to them coming off as cold or aloof but it’s less about that and more about their need to rule with the head and not the heart in order to avoid being thrown off the balance that they like (Aqua is a fixed sign) also they do NOT want to be hurt by people so the guard they have up towards the world is basically an iron curtain till they develop enough trust with you
Aries Moon is equally as spontaneous and adaptable but for a different motivation - Aries is bold and wants the most out of life and you can bet your bottom dollars they’ll do WHATEVER necessary to gain the lifestyle and goals they set for themselves.
But since they are naturally social butterflies and genuinely just want to have fun and encourage the people they love to reach for their dreams and have fun doing it, they tend to succeed rather easily since people are drawn to them. - All about confidence, bold styles, working hard because they NEED to be the best at whatever they do, but they definitely play hard too (as does every fire sign lmao)
As much as Aries and Aquarius like change and excitement - Capricorn Mercury does NOT. This adds a LOT of grounding and “tradition” to quick moving Aries and unconventional Asquarius.
Capricorn Mercurys are known to speak slow, quite monotonous and precise which I definitely have always felt about Changkyun. You’re not getting too much fluff or extra words from them because Capricorn finds it a waste of energy. They say what they mean when they mean it and not much else more. But this means they are good listeners and are very comfortable and unreliant on “attention” or “being in the spotlight” giving them added levels of independence. I also feel that this is why they are sooooo unbothered by other people’s opinions and friendship.
Aquarians straight up rather be alone than around fake people. They don’t care if they “fit in” with general norms because they don’t want to be like anyone else anyway lmao and they are interesting enough to keep themselves entertained. While Capricorn and Aries have places to go, people to see, and goals to crush so why the hell be worried about others???
Mixed with the other 2 placements it’s likely that his home is a serious sanctuary for him that he takes seriously. When he’s out in the world doing his busy schedules and chaotic traveling and work he’s happy and really feeding into the air and fire energy. But when he gets home it’s his Capricorn Mercury that is being nurtured and stimulated. He’s going to wanna hibernate there for a while without leaving especially if he’s been gone a long time. Could be either unbelievably messy or unbelievably neat but likely no inbetween with these placements lmao.
Aquarius Mars.... reminder that Aquarius is a fixed sign so this in Mars could mean one HELL of a temper or at least rage once he’s set off. But thankfully the Airy nature of Aqua means you’d really have to mess with him to get that kind of reaction because they generally really dislike being upset. They prefer staying content and neutral rather than having extreme feelings of any kind or it makes them veryyyyy edgy. If you can disagree with respect and if you provide logic instead of ego as your argument you’re likely to get a much better reaction from Aquarius
Relationships:
Non-Romantic Relationships & overall communication style: Aquarius Sun, Aries Moon, Capricorn Mercury, Aquarius Mars
Boy oh boyyyyyy he takes a LONG time to open up to people - 2 Aquarius placements and a Capricorn placement screamssssss trust issues and vulnerability issues
Capricorn doesn’t wanna sulk and talk about their problems so IF they trust you enough to come to you with an issue they want solutions and practical help and support
Is really cheered up by acts of service and quality time - watching a great movie even in complete silence just near each other on the couch in sweats tucked under cozy blankets or getting surprised with their favorite dinner can boost their mood instantly
Aries Moon as I said before is a natural in social situations and tends to draw attention even when they aren’t trying so he’s bound to come off a lot more open and friendly than he actually is. The deep stuff won’t come out till he REALLY knows and trusts you and even then… in SMALL increments
That said he’s a super fun friend to have - down for adventures, actually thinks about and puts effort into doing cool stuff with friends and loved ones
When it comes to friendships he shows care through quality time and acts of service
When he buys gifts for people he cares about they are BOMB - cool as fuck and either one or a combination of the following: one of a kind, meaningful as fuck, and/ or super expensive - most likely fashion, jewelry, something music related, or super cool stuff from his travels
Romantic relationships and preferences : Pisces Venus, Aquarius Mars, Aquarius Juno, Aries Eros
Lmao even MORE Aquarius and Aries energy
Ok into the main meat - these four placements are particularly interesting combo: 2 fixed air (Aqua), 1 mutable water (Pisces) and 1 Cardinal Fire (Aries)
Aqua Juno - generally hints at a pretty unconventional relationship and this can come in manyyyyy forms for the very unique and varied Aquarians (partnership without legal marriage, mixed race/culture couple, could even mean choosing a bachelor lifestyle over any normal type of relationship, etc.) - given that Changkyun seems quite close with his parents and his interest in kids I’d say he’s unlikely to choose the bachelor route.
For a lot of Aquarians unconventional can also come in the form of a very stimulating partner, they enjoy learning and expanding their minds and experiences which is why they tend to run towards challenges that others would run from. I think someone who shares similar passions but varied skills and/or background would fulfil that for him. Aquarius, Pisces and Aries like to be stimulated A LOT.
Pisces in Venus is a tricky placement - can be pretty hot and cold, lots of mixed signals, you should be ready to be stood up or flaked on atleast once in the beginning🙄) BUT if you actually manage to earn their trust and dedication they make very caring partners.
Pisces in Venus is art gallery and museum dates, binge watching documentaries especially murder mystery, and spending most of the summer near the closest body of water.
Aries Eros fantasizes about being in a partnership that others look at as a power couple but they’ll never admit it - they dream of a partner who is in awe of them and their accomplishments but has their own big goals and successes to cater to as well. They like people they can grow with as individuals and as a couple. Push and pull works really well with Aries (and the other two fire signs too honestly) they like the cat and mouse thing and they like to have time to miss & yearn for their partner especially the men - absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Love languages in order from most to least: quality time, physical touch, acts of service, gift giving
Aries is a strong sign and they want and need a real partner who respects and supports their independence and boss energy but also can nurture their softer more vulnerable side and be the strong one for them when they need it
Tumblr media
***** 18+ Preferences ****
Ooof this should honestly come as a surprise to NO ONE but damn placements do NOT lie...Im Changkyun is one freaky ass boy
I mean ARIES EROS???? Let me spell that out for y’all: fucks you like he absolutely fucking hates you or ties you up like a present and edges you for hours till you’re crying
LOVES, let me repeat LOVES jealousy sex - whether it’s you being jealous of all the screaming thirsting fans he has or him being jealous of guys getting too close too you for his comfort - he is allllllllll about taking that energy directly into the bedroom ASAP (or a bathroom or even closet if it locks 🤐)
Could and WOULD makeout for hours on end - especially if he’s been drinking
The more you switch it up the more excited he is - with all them Aquarius placements it should be pretttyyyyyy often
Different positions, lingerie, role play - any and all of it excite him
With a partner he actually trusts and has feelings for I can see him being extremely open minded to trying things (though obviously EVERYONE has limits and boundaries)
Toys, blindfolds, handcuffs, whip cream, hot wax, spanking - all a STRONG yes
Get the strong feeling he has strong preference to use his mouth often - lots of kissing (passionate, needy, messy - sometimes more aggressive) , likes to give and receive hickeys, wants to kiss all over his partner’s body and LOVES oral both receiving and giving (and I get the feeling he’s TOO good at that 👀)
More willing to let his partner take control than you might think - he’s not a switch but he just doesn’t think you initiating or “being in control” makes him any less dominant. In fact it’s probably the opposite; you showing your desire to that point actually makes him feel MORE dominant and masculine
Literally could find anyone and everyone beautiful - is more attracted to people’s minds, spirit and energy than physical looks (BIG Pisces and Aquarian thing)
Gets turned on every single time he sees you in the crowd at one of his shows - makes him feel like you are the only two people in the world (drives his Aries Eros INSANE - gets a kick out of the slight power play of being on stage in front of so many people, as well as the secrecy and raw passionate energy of it all)
Tattoos, piercings, colorful wigs, or even just interesting jewelry paired with the right lingerie or outfit will have him 🤯- think short black see-through lace robe with nothing on underneath except a sparkling body chain dripping from your body....yep he’ll eat you like a main dish in .00000000023 seconds
Hope you enjoyed! 💕

the hell is mystreet season 6??
(warning, long post ahead)
ok so before i start this
1) ive never posted shiiiit on tumblr before so watch me suffer, im just here to talk about stuff that my friends who dont know anything about aphmau have to listen to me rant about for hours on end
2) i havent seen mystreet in like years (except season 3, i watch that frequently since im laurance and shadow knight deprived) so please bear with me because i might be completely wrong on this lol. it’s just like, pointing out things i remember
3) im sure someones already talked about this but who cares
4) im gonna do this stupid thing where i just explain myself a bit at first, if you dont want to read that just skip to the part where you see “the actual thingy:” in bold and italics
5) mild disclaimer; i am completely aware that jessica is not a professional writer. i know that she did her best to appeal to her fans, and honestly, respect for that. while this post will come off as aggressive and probably look like hate, that’s not my intention in the slightest. it’s just... intense criticism. im sure y’all probably already know that, but yeah, just stating that anyways. i do believe that jess is doing her best, and in no way do i want to dismiss any hard work she’s done. that being said; prepare for a very strongly opinionated post.
haha watch there be 10000+ typos in this making me look like a complete dumbass
ok here we go
one of the main reasons i stopped watching aphmau back in 2017 was the mess that was season 4. like, in the first few episodes of the emerald secret, i thought “woah!! this is kinda cool, im a sucker for mystery!” because of course i was, it was something new and something exciting. the only problem i had with it at the time was kim, but that’s just because i always found her annoying and out of place. i just didn’t understand why garroth dragged her along and honestly i still don’t to this day BUT, moving on.
anyways, as the season progressed, 13 year old me was of course just “:0!!” the entire time--that is, up until the reveal of the main villain. i remember watching the episode, seeing the reveal of ein, and then stopping. like, just for a quick break, but i was still just overwhelmingly disappointed. like, and this was the time when pdh was airing and ein just got made alpha (i think?) and i had really really liked eins character in pdh. either way, that really sucked and actually opened my eyes to a lot of things.
one of the main things bein’ the fact that this was supposed to be a slice of life kinda series that decided to take a turn to a more edgy kinda approach. which, i guess i regularly wouldnt mind? but seeing as mcd was kinda bein neglected at the time it just didnt sit right with me. BUT WHATEVER, point is i stopped watching mystreet all together at the end of season 4.
like, a whole year later my brother tells me that shit’s getting intense in season 5 + 6 of mystreet, and my brilliant self decided to give it a shot--but i refused to watch all of season 5, so i only stepped in when ein made an appearance. so whenever that was, that’s where i picked up because i didnt care enough to see
and y’know--i honestly didn’t hate it at first. in fact, i found it oddly cool. it wasn’t enough to get me into aphmau again, but it was enough to where i was intrigued. i dont know why, but i never watched the finale, so i didnt see the ending until just a few weeks ago--but back then, i thought it was neat. looking back on it however... im just so confused.
side note: only got back into aphmau this time around because of mcd. mainly because like, i adore the first season and the first half of the second season. and being nearly 18 now, im a lot more appreciative of plot and well-written characters n junk.
the actual thingy:
ok back on track. imma stop spilling out my story of how i got back into aphmau, and lets just skip to what rewatching mcd made me realize of season 6′s plot and shit:
-emmalyn. how the fuck does ghost even remotely exist? if she’s emmalyn as claimed, then why have we already seen emmalyn in the mystreet universe alive? look i get that creators can do whatever they want with their stories but at the same time please provide some sort of explanation good god. and maybe they did and i just havent seen it, so if there is one--let me know. but until that day imma just sit here confused as fuck
-ok so imma just be real, the whole ‘ultima’ thing is just... not great. in my opinion, anyways. like... i saw someone mention this in another post, but if this ultima stuff was like, a really big deal, why isnt it mentioned in mcd? though i suppose since its a curse of sorts, it could be later on past the time period in which mcd takes place--but even then, how did it manage to make its way into aaron’s family bloodline?
-WHY IS EVERYONE AT STARLIGHT ITS JUST SO CONVINIENT like what happened to this place being the most expensive shit on the planet or whatever, and how the gang happens to run into like, the werewolf trio and blaze and kai and guy and nate all of these people like god damn life doesnt WORK LIKE THAT
-im sorry but turning people into relics? thats... thats the best you could come up with? plus, like, how does that even work? in mcd it’s established that relics are separate entitles that choose their wielder, based on a ‘personal’ connection (being a descendent of a previous wielder) or if they’re a good match personality and (i think?) moral wise. so the whole turning-people-into-relics doesnt make much sense to be honest.
-irene really over here using her god powers to only keep her friends alive like god damn not a great god if you ask me
-can i talk about how incredibly predictable aphmaus death was? like i just kinda sat there waiting for it to happen and when it did i literally went “haha! wonder when she’ll be revived” because god forbid we actually kill off characters
-when aphmau + demon warlock fought in the irene dimension there was no passage of time whatsoever in the real world whiiiiiiiiich really bothers me because they fought in there for at least a few minutes
-speaking of aphmau and the demon warlocks fight does it bother anyone else that it had to be aaron who took over the fight?? like we get it hes the big protector blah blah blah but god damn it wouldve been cooler if aphmau had fought this battle as her. aaron fighting this battle was so underwhelming
-...love. like, thats the only thing thats needed to break out of a forever potion? love? LIKE YEAH, GOOD GUYS GOTTA WIN SOMEHOW, but its just so cliche and overdoneeee
-oh yeah and also when travis went bonkers and became the demon warlock or whatever, why’d he only take over katelyn and garroth?? like, zane had been influenced by the potions in the past as well? DONT GET ME WRONG--i do love some good brother edge, but uh, the demon warlock was just bein kinda a dumbass by not possessing zane too just sayin’
-can aaron please go to fucking jail for mass murder now like holy shit, he just got sent home on a fuckin boat. also why did blaze forgive him for killing him thats not even remotely realistic. then again, nothing in mystreet has ever been realistic when it comes to characters and motives and personalities, (cough katelyn being actually abusive and travis being an actual pervert) but yknow whatever
-katelyn and kawaii chan literally added nothing to the plot whatsoever. like lets be real, katelyn lost her personality the moment season 5 started and kawaii chan just kinda sits there :I
-ok im sorry this was bound to come up but cmon guys imagine laurances potential if he was in season 6 like god damn this is beyond maddening. AND YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY REALLY COOL PARRALLEL?? IF IT WAS LAURANCE WHO SNAPPED GARROTH OUT OF HIS MIND CONTROL THING, because it would mimic laurance’s speech to get garroth to snap out of his rage in season 1, episode 100 of minecraft diaries. like how fuckin rad would that have been? missed opportunity
-also?? why does kim/ghost know magicks?? like, if i remember correctly, emmalyn is a scholar--not someone who knew magicks. i mean, i guess research? study?? but its been established that knowing how magicks works =/= being able to use magicks. i dunno, just doesnt seem right i guess. maybe its explained, i wouldnt know (yes i know that makes me look like a dick leave me alone)
-melissa should have stayed dead. LIKE, NO, ITS NOT AS SIMPLE AS “haha it takes more than a few bullets to kill me”??? look ive got nothing wrong with melissa (cough lie cough) but yknow it would have just been cool a character... stay dead? for once? its just too fuckin cliche that shes alive god damn
-can i also just say the only good thing that came out of season 6 was travis’ dads sacrifice like damn that made me actually sad
-howww was lucinda turned into a relic. or yknow, anyone else? like im sure they explain it better in the actual show i just dont remember, but its just that easy? turning anyone into a relic? granted, a normal person wouldnt be able to produce a good relic, but idk man. IM JUST SAYING; that the only really powerful relics that aphmau should have been able to wield is the one that aaron + zane produced because shad relic and esmund relic moment. lucinda isnt even like, connected to a divine warrior. ALSO, another point, if its seriously that powerful of a relic getting one from just a magic user like lucinda, why go through the trouble? i mean i guess ofc youd want the “all powerful” one that the ultima produces but i mean damn whats the point
-ok this is just going to bother me but in one of the episodes (i think might have been in season 5 actually) where that like, guardian dude was chasing aphmau and zane and at one point they split up and the dude just chuckles at zane diverting paths and goes under his breath “youre not the important one here”, suggesting that aphmau somehow is? first of all, id argue that any ro’meave is significantly more important than aphmau was, especially not knowing much about her other than that shes with aaron. i might be missing some bits an pieces, but if i was that dude id forget about aphmau and go after zane
-killing off derek for shock factor sucked, and i know the moment was supposed to be really sad because like “oh :( aarons dad is sacrificing himself for his son” but lets be real dereks still was a shitty father and i dont think his reasons for doing what he did was very good at all
-less about plot or more like: why the absolute fuck did the gang bring kim along instead of, oh i dont know, a life-long friend? like, laurance or dante maybe?? im sure its explained, i never saw aphmaus year or most of season 5, but god DAMN id hate to be apart of this friend group AND GOD LIKE, imagine reconnecting with an old friend who ends up getting closer to your best friends and taking priority in their lives over you (cough laurance) like god damn lol
-im just going to preface this one with: i dont remember everything that’s happened, so if im wrong i apologize in advance--but (you actually can correct me if im wrong and please do) didnt like, irene reincarnate her friends in order to give them better lives? I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE, ITS JUST WHAT I REMEMBER--however, if im correct, then:
a. why the hell would she bring back someone like zane, or gene, or ivy, etc.
b. why the hell do they all have the same exact names? first and last? again, im aware that the whole mystreet+mcd tie wasn’t originally supposed to be there, but i dont think that means such a coincidence can be excused? its just a bit much if you ask me.
c. why the hell is the fact that (as much as i literally hate this) aaron is a decedent of shad being ignored? like, you’d think that something like this would be something thats actually important, or something the demon warlock couldve taken advantage of. or are we completely erasing every other connections to divine warriors besides aphmau + irene? because even if irene did reincarnate them or do whatever it is she did, does she even have the power to sever the connections between them and their ancestors? my guess is, no.
d. speaking of irene why on earth was aphmau able to talk to/see irene, they’re literally the same person are they not? did she like, fuckin reincarnate herself without actually doing it?? BUT--i will give it to them, the demon warlock did refer to aphmau as something along the lines of being “one of the 3 parts of her broken soul” or something like that. however, my point still remains. also what are the other two did i miss that or is it never explained
now; if irene in fact did not ‘reincarnate’ her friends then please ignore that little bit right there :)
but yes, those are a few of the problems i have with season 6 off the top of my head. i would go into like, season 4 and 5 more as well, but i honestly didnt feel like it. at some point i might go into other things, like how important laurance could have been to the plot of these later seasons, or HELL, even dante. i might also go into what could have made season 4, 5, and 6 actually good--maybe... a rewrite? perhaps? but im getting too far ahead of myself, so i just leave you with this for now.
and i know that as soon as i post this 15 more things are just going to pop into my head BUT im going to try and not edit this post because why stress myself with that even more
anyways thank you for coming to my tedtalk

wait wait whats aitsf?? whats it about is it any good???
oh!! its ai the somnium files :3!! i cant rlly say concretely what its about since im not that far honestly but its like.. a sci-fi murder mystery detective game ig? heres the description on steam if it helps! (i am. not good at explaining the plot of games at all u-u)
Tumblr media
i think it also has 5 routes that you can go with if u choose certain things? (tho i believe u need to do the first 4 in order to do the 5th one. and that some r only unlocked after u already do a certain route)
as for if its good or not? i would say so yeah! its a pretty fun game and the story is pretty intriguing so far (and also as for the characters ive seen i am. a pretty big fan of the character design).. although it has a fuck ton of uncomfortable horny/suggestive jokes i believe,, i DEFINITELY recommend reading this post which has a bunch of content warnings for the game if youre considering checking out the game urself. because. this game has. a lot. its not something i can recommend fully with the content it contains.
this is so so badly worded </3 sorry asjkdaflmaeefs. i do not know how to explain this game.
