i like makoto too but its... interesting, to say the least, that you feel the need to explain away and justify his actions and treatment of his sister instead of just... discussing them or explaining how you think he is mentally and/or how he can make up for his actions... regardless of his theoretical mental illness and trauma, hes STILL responsible for his own actions, and his sister never deserved to be treated that way.

eh i'm trying my best to not justify him. i've just been so attached to the character and he means a lot to me so him being disregarded as a creepy siscon just bothers me yk? and i made my own posts and analysis of his mental illness i suspected... i just try to not correct or confront people about it whenver they do talk about him. that scares me lol

the thing is... he can't make up for his actions? he's a comedic relief siscon character that doesn't get any depth nor character development throughout the series. what could he possibly do to redeem himself without us having to write fanfiction about it? yes, i like to imagine him being a better brother, getting help for his disorder and issues. but that's just my interpretation of a flawed and underwritten character. and a lot of it is influenced by makokuu. but canon doesn't help much here.

he's not great, but he would've had more redeeming qualities if he wasn't a one joke character. i can't really do much about it but make up my own scenarios and stories on how he could be a good brother while acknowledging he's not a great person.

kokomi doesn't deserve to be stalked and makoto being so jealous and protective of her in his disturbed ways. i agree. but some people make him out to be some sort of sexual abuser in this scenario, which he isnt. we see domestic teruhashi siblings only what 3 times? maybe 2 more if we count them going to the movies together and on christmas... id love to see more scenarios of them just being siblings. but no. most of the scenes with him were written to be an exaggerated siscon trope. to be funny...

yes he is responsible for his actions, but he does need help. the help everyone is aware he shouldve gotten long ago before his obsession morphed his perception of whats acceptable for him to do to someone he loves and cares about. but what can we do about it when we never get to see him get better?

but at the same time i simply cannot think of him as the fanon "GUYS HE WANTS TO DO DIRTY STUFF TO HER KILL THAT PERVERT" anymore. despite his nonexisting depth, im doing my best to explore his character as much as i can.

A random headcanon: Love the headcanon that she can be Mean. I always laugh when in the ep a distortion she’s like “yeah i know all the statements with prentiss are horrifying but given that martin survived all that time alone against her she cant be that bad” LIKE THATS SO FUCKING FUNNY. I 100% wholeheartedly think that early in the archives job she and jon were jabbing at martin like, yknow when you and your friend make fun of someone you both like so its always w/ a hint of oh haha that guy? except at some point she realizes “wait... you Actually dislike him?” and hes like yeah? hes next to useless why would i like him?? and shes like >:/

also a hc that i have ever since i heard the ep a distortion is that she had a history of depression in the past? like when she talks abt yknow the funny distortion in the mirror of her building she says that the walk to the station is dready and she likes to get her fun whenever she can take it, WHICH IMO sounds a lot like something someone that was on a bad mental place would try to internalize! 

one last thing if she watches a horror movie she practically watches the entire movie through the holes between her fingers bc she Is scared but she still doesnt wanna miss a detail (which, georgie/sasha horror movie marathon date would b very funny just saying)

General Opinion over said character: i love her i love her i love her, the sky lost a shining star when she died ;_; and i MEAN IT her character was cool!! she was smart she was smug she was Curious, god, she says that she’s not the bravest person and i believe that she’s easily scared but still everything she does is so! so! brave! and she loves her friends!! from michael telling her how to save her friends to her hopping out of the safe room for tim , i just, god, i need a minute

not to keep beating a dead horse but tma got so much worse after she died like i KNOW its not their fault bc her actress had to go but literally nothing that comes after her death is good, tma ceased existing as a good podcast after her death, nothing matters anymore, you had a perfect character and you killed her before even giving her an arc jesus fucking dchirst im SO angry i ha tehtis fucking podcast

NOO PLS NOW YOU'RE MAKING ME CRY but to be honest i just pictured him as an asshole simply not made for relationships that always needs something else. and also someone that gets influenced easily by others bc when they were on the road she was more than enough and they were doing perfectly fine. so if it can make you feel any better he didn't think that she wasn't pretty or funny enough, even if yes, they had different personalities and that didn't help. you're not annoying at all I love hearing what people think about my stories and characters!! if it wasn't part of the series and if i didn't have so many other things to write i probably would've made a little piece from his pov 😔

on clothes -- i LOVE fancy absurd clothes. like. going 2 the grocery store in a ball gown kinda clothes. or looking like i'm a goth extra in a d*sney channel show from 2010. like the ideal outfit is: docs. BRIGHT striped leggings. cute skater skirt. tucked in graphic t-shirt w a BIG belt. arm warmers that match my leggings. 1 million of those rubbery bracelets that have little sayings on them. cat or some other animal ears if applicable. as much black as physically possible also. maybe some eyeshadow n mascara n lipstick if i'm feeling spicy but the makeup is there so i look Worse (objectively. i think it owns)

i also like to dress like a pirate in public but i don't own enough billowy blouses or vests 😔 or yeah just wearing like. black tie attire wherever. i need to be EYECATCHING and COOL and CONFUSING

on jokes - this is hard bc i will laugh at anything. so like. idk??? i keep being told i personally am funny and like ykno i believe it but it is completely accidental each time. my humour is that i simply don't know things and can't detect sarcasm or like. Obvious Jokes jfhdhdhhd
