What the Pic? - Pic Summary Game
Aim of the Game: Provide some kind of summary for what is going on in the pic. Thank you to our Party Mod @ariasfandom for facilitating!
@saganarojanaolt - A chase ended badly
For the baddies
---------------------
@pherryt - "In retrospect, letting Steve drive the van had been a bad idea. Too bad nobody listened to Bucky"
---------------------
@liquidlightz - Steve knew he shouldn't have let Sam drive... Bucky just couldn't resist hiding up on the roof and tearing out Sam's steering wheel when he least expected it... for old times sake
---------------------
@lokivsanubis - “Honestly driving had changed a lot since 1943. What’s this automatic mean?” Steve is honestly confused. Bucky sighs, “Next time I drive.”
Keep reading for more!
@lokivsanubis - Clint just looked at the key then back at the door. Bucky paused, “are you sure you live here?”
---------------------
@liquidlightz - Steve had been struggling to get a handle on his new body after the serum... looks like it's back to 0 days since the last mishap. Good thing he can just break the lock and get in that way, who needs keys anyway.
---------------------
@pherryt - "Bucky glared at the broken off key. He just wanted to grab a shower and hit the hay. He hadn't even been using the metal arm. He wasn't Steve for God's sake, just breaking things willy nilly. Which meant... Sam. Sam's prank had gone too far this time..."
@lokivsanubis - Steve still wasn't' sure 100% how this photo survived all these years. And yet here it was as he looked at at his best man and then back at his partner.
"Don't worry Babe," Bucky assured them. "You've got yourself a winner in Stevie."
"And don't worry." Clint assures from the side, "We definitely ate that pizza."
Steve just wanted to curl up and die. That photo was 5 years and at least 90 lbs ago.
--------------------
@liquidlightz - What the hell Buck?" Steve exclaimed as he bent down to check Clint was still breathing. "You open the door inward, not out at people!"
"You're the one who installed it after your last little episode... maybe you should have read the instructions as to which side the hinges go on!
---------------------
@saganarojanaolt - Clint has a fantastic aim, Drunk Clint has a fantastic aim too just sometimes for the wrong targets As Tony have learned the hard way when the cup hit him on the head just when he taken the pizza
@lokivsanubis - Sometimes it's the things you don't say that say everything. The fact that Tony didn't depart the plane told Steve everything he needed to know. He put the flowers down and accepted his losses. The fact that Bucky couldn't let their relationship die here and was currently on a plane to California to drag Tony home is another story entirely.
@saganarojanaolt - I can imagine all kind of explanation of why Tony didn't board the plane
And it ends in Happy end
@lokivsanubis - i feel like Bucky would show up like 'WTF?' And tony be like hmmm? What do you mean it's thursday? JARVIS WHY ARE YOU MUTED!?
@saganarojanaolt - Exactly
Or Avengers business
Or an accident
Tony got on the wrong plane
@lokivsanubis - Tony trying to fly coach is just a disaster waiting to happen.
---------------------
@saganarojanaolt - Tony gets into an accident, and because he doesn't have an ID with him - why would he? Everyone knows who is he - when he loses his memory he is noted down as a John Smith This protects him from the paparazzi but also from Bucky finding him
@lokivsanubis - ohh the drama i love it!
especially if they shaved his face or his hair for some reason.
so he'd look different
@saganarojanaolt - nods nods
Surgery
Or it was bad guys who caused the incident - so they shaved him and thrown him off somewhere far away where he was last seen
---------------------
@liquidlightz - Steve waited to receive his Russian internet match with bated breath and a humble bunch of flowers, they seemed so small now, he really should have gotten a better bunch on the way instead of relying on the airport shops, they were extortionate, maybe he should stop being cheap and go buy a bigger bunch...
as he considered his frugal choices he heard his name called out, and looked up to meet the most mesmerising sky blue eyes he could have never imagined, a shy tentative smile on a gorgeous face framed by luscious long wavy locks, and cradled to his chest in a sling, a little toddler... asleep, while his dad struggled one handed with the luggage.
They were as smitten in person as they had ever been over their emails, and the flowers were graciously received but left forgotten for anyone else who might need them more... they both now had everything they needed and all their hands were full...
@lokivsanubis - though i'm imagining Bucky with Alpine in a cat sweater lol
but OMG SO CUTE!!
@liquidlightz - ha ha... plot twist... the baby is a kitten!
@menatiera - Bucky still doesn't know to this day how his phone ended up outside on the windowsill. He suspects either Sam's prank, or some kind of magical mishap from a practicing Sorcerer Supreme. Anyway, good thing he has a few Spiderfolks on speed dial, even if that means he'll owe a favor to one of them. Now to decide which one is the safest bet to be indebted to...
@dreaminglypeach - Has a few spiderfolks on speed dial, but he needs his phone to be able to call them to come rescue his phone… not sure how well Bucky has thought this one through
---------------------
@pherryt - that's absolutely Clint's phone. he climbed up on the roof to take a picture of something and then it slipped right out of his hands. Now Bucky's wishing Nat was here to help talk clint out of doing some aerial stunts without a safety net just to reach the damn thing. "Phones can be replaced, dumbass" Bucky's muttering. Clint, halfway down the wall already 'But it's got pics of Lucky and Alpine cuddling together!"
---------------------
@liquidlightz - Bucky had been insisting that he could scale buildings and climb through windows better than Nat could... which Clint scoffed at, nobody would believe him, and Nat refused to take up his challenges so he could prove his point.
She'd left him no choice; with Clint's help he'd managed to swipe her phone and abseil the side of Stark Tower to place it outside the common room window which he knew to be tightly sealed... Steve and Clint had timed him as impartial witnesses.
Now Nat would have no choice but to retrieve her phone and everyone, including Jarvis, was placing bets and keeping a close eye so they wouldn't miss it when she made her move...
@saganarojanaolt - Nat quietly kills Bucky, while everyone is watching the phone, no one takes her phone unpunished
---------------------
@lbibliophile-mcu - Bucky glares at Steve
"But...!"
"No. I've told you before, no playing on your phone during briefings. I thought you would have learnt from Clint's example last week."
"But..!"
"Calm down. Stephen can help you grab it again after the meeting. If you pay attention."
Steve never had these problems leading the Howlies... he just had different ones
---------------------
@your-ginger-angel - It's not Bucky's fault that he forgot his phone on the windowsill. He'd been sucked into some stupid TV show Steve was watching and before he knew it, he was sobbing as character A professed their love to character B (he had no idea what the characters names were or what they were saying -- Steve had some damn good windows!) and then as Character B walked away, Bucky had put his hand on the window and cried, "Noooooo!" Now, he doesn't think Steve heard him, but the movement had to have caught his attention because Bucky had been forced to made a quick climb up to the roof before Steve realized that Bucky was perched on the sill keeping an eye on him.

tw : death by fire
characters featured : eddie , nat , ash .
it began just like any other day .
with only a couple hours of sleep ( thanks to insomnia and his choice of hyperfixation for the week ) , reggie jr was tired and lethargic as he got up at dawn . languid with his movements as he got dressed , a loud yawn escaped his lips that was quickly followed by a quick groan at the annoying tick and tock of the wall clock amidst the quiet of the morning . tick … tock … tick … tock … tick … tock … and reggie would have taken its batteries out there and then if he wasn’t suddenly distracted by the very faint smell of iron and burnt meat in the air . but in the end , reggie shrugged it off as some weird morning hallucination as his senses awoken with him . he had other things to worry about . it was 5:15 AM . and he was already running late .
reggie stood there for a moment , ( breathe in , breathe out ) channeling all the energy he could muster to face the rest of his day . then , a whirlwind of motions — he let his dog out to the backyard for a quick poo , brushed his teeth , took his vitamins , and prayed to his god for a great day for everyone in town . it was 5:49 AM when he was finally prepared , everything was muscle memory with his routine at this point .
the first signs of sunlight kissed his skin when he stepped outside , a comfort as the cold morning breeze hit his pale cheeks , but reggie didn’t have the time to bask in its warmth — eleven minutes before the first delivery , less than an hour and a half before opening time . the walk to the diner was brisk , with a few minutes to spare before fernando , their regular shipment driver , would deliver the produce that they couldn’t get from hidden hill farm . it was 5:59 AM , and reggie was waiting behind the diner for the shipment while he fed a family of stray calico cats .
he made a mental note to ask fernando about how his date went , remembering how excited the other man seemed to be about it the last time they talked . reggie always made a point to make conversation with everyone he’d come across , such a social creature with charm and the gusto for bringing people together . it was 6:20 AM , twenty minutes after fernando was supposed to arrive and reggie felt uneasy as it was the first time the other had ever been this late after all these years without any notice . the strange scent made its presence known again , stronger this time but reggie still couldn’t pinpoint what it was and where it was coming from .
beginning to be perturbed by the smell , reggie went back inside the diner , glad to see ruby ( auntie ruby , he’d call her — a good friend of his dad’s and a line cook for the diner since he was little ) was already there . he greeted her and asked how her weekend was , only to be ignored . he didn’t take it personally , albeit a little disheartening , since he figured she just woke up on the wrong side of the bed . they spent their opening preparations in awkward silence and reggie wondered whether something was wrong , but he didn’t want to prod so early in the morning . he was thankful when the clock struck 7:00 AM , finally time to open the diner and serve great food to darkwood residents , and their praises and conversations were his own food for the soul .
but it was unusually quiet , the silence almost too overwhelming that reggie couldn’t help but tap and knock on the counter endlessly to drown out white noise — their morning regulars seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth . and those that came were disinterested in his chit chat , simply took their coffee and meal , leaving without a word . he smiled at every customer , greetings highlighted with pep , disheartened at every time he was disregarded — again and again and again and again and again , like an endless repetition that left him deeply disturbed . there was something alien about what was happening … something so eerie , especially when the old jukebox unexpectedly began to play on its own to break the silence — and reggie wished it hadn’t .
i know you belong to somebody new but tonight you belong to me although we're apart you're a part of my heart but tonight you belong to me — the song began to play faster and faster with every syllable , and while it had malfunction before , it had never just played on its own accord — waitdownbythestreethowsweetitwillseemoncemorejusttodreaminthemoonlightmyhoneyiknowwiththedawnthatyouwillbego and the song continued to speed up until it just sounded like a loud high-pitched ringing , forcing him to cover his ears as he ran towards the jukebox so he could unplug it . and then , back to complete silence .
it was only 9:15 AM when reggie took his first break , so deeply disturbed that he had to step outside for fresh air . he texted nat , offered free strawberry milkshakes and curly fries just for her to stop by and make him feel less like a lunatic over what was happening . but she left him on read , which didn’t happen often , or at all if she could help it . he began to pace outside , which would have looked really strange if there was anyone watching — but the town was almost deserted , like he had been left behind by everyone that ever mattered to him ( a list that consisted almost of the entire town ) . it was a sick joke , it had to be . he texted ash , no detail spared — it was a nice bait , ash would probably laugh at him for thinking everyone had suddenly conspired against him but he needed to talk to someone . anyone .
if ash was stupid about her pride and their whole rivalry , then reggie was stupid about ash . he never wanted to be in competition with her , would very much rather have a bond based on mutual interests and fondness for each other — and yet , for years and years , reggie went along with it in hopes that it would make her feel more involved . and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy seeing her show the smallest semblance of happiness whenever she’d beat him in their most trivial feuds . he enjoyed his time with her , so , he hoped for a reply . no , he prayed for it . he could already imagine ash’s smug smile when they’d talk about this in person and how it would make his day just to see it .
but minutes passed and still nothing . he tried to call his dad , mom , siblings , eddie , pari , his neighbors and even the police — all nothing . reggie felt ill , almost lost his balance at the thought of being alone in a world without everyone he cared for . he had always been able to hold onto hope , but not when all signs lead to everything he feared for . he ran back inside the diner and auntie ruby was gone . it was the terror of patterns and schedule thrown awry , the banality he was so used to suddenly replaced with dread growing exponentially in the pit of his stomach . what was his life if not to care for people ? what was his life if not trying to make their sleepy little town a better place ? his life meant nothing if he was alone , and god , he couldn’t stand it .
he raced outside , barging into every store , knocking on every door , desperate for any signs of life . he went to his family’s home — completely empty of life , his parents and siblings gone as if they were never there in the first place . people were not just supposed to vanish into thin air . he wondered if this was the rapture , if he had been left behind because he wasn’t good enough . it was a painful thought , his dedication to everyone else meaning nothing . he ran and ran and ran and ran until he couldn’t breathe , collapsing onto the ground ( breathe in , breathe out ) as he became painfully aware of the lack of air in his lungs . his throat was agonizingly dry , tears welling up in his eyes as he realized that this had to be a nightmare . if not , then it must be hell .
he closed his eyes and sent up a simple , desperate plea to god , ❛ please , wake me up . ❜ but the prayer went unanswered . and once again , the smell came back — so strong , so pungent that he could almost taste it , that he felt like throwing up . he was scared to open his eyes , but he was betrayed by his own body . in front of him was eddie , standing tall and proud ( of what ? he wished he would never find out ) as that sinister smile on his lips taunted him .
❛ you were wrong , reggie . about me . about everything . ❜
the conviction in eddie’s voice left his powerless , his faith in eddie finally deteriorating with the evidence laid behind him — a pile of ablazed corpses , his loved ones and the people of darkwood slowly being reduced to ashes . the wind blew soot and god , it burned his eyes but reggie remained unblinking at the horrors , mouth agape as he stared at the horrors against his will . he wasn’t sure how long he had been looking at it — seconds , maybe minutes — when god finally answered his prayers and he finally blinked .
the next time reggie opened his eyes , it was 5:15 AM and it was time to start his day . tick … tock … tick … tock … tick … tock … and the annoying clock went on and on , but he was too listless to do anything but sit on the edge of his bed and contemplate that dreadful nightmare . was he truly wrong about eddie ? no . no . no . he couldn’t let himself doubt him now , too . it was just his psyche playing tricks , recycling the rumours and gossips the townspeople tried to imbue on his mind . eddie was innocent . he paid no mind to the other parts of the dream , that sickening loneliness he felt — it was just a nightmare , and being awake meant he had other things to worry about now — eddie , ash , the diner , his family — and he was already running late .

Hello Spring: Day 4
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Category: Cutesy/Soft
Summary: When you suddenly disappear, Steve asks his best friends to help find you.
Word Count: 1,037
Warnings: None
Prompt: “____ is lost! Help me find it/them.”
A/N: I actually hate coming up with titles, I spend so much time working on the story that when I’m done my brain doesn’t wanna work anymore so they turn out crap. So I decided this one won’t have a name. Don’t let the dark gif scare you. This actually ends up being a happy story. This is for @ibwhellospring Hello Spring 31 Day Fiction Short Story Event. Feedback is always welcomed and appreciated!
“Bucky, please tell me Y/N’s here.” He looks at the frazzled man in front of him. “Haven’t seen her since yesterday, Sam.” He states plainly. Watching as Sam grows more frantic, mumbling to himself whilst pacing back and forth.
Due to the super soldier serum running through Bucky, he overhears Sam’s frantic ramblings. “Where did she go, I looked away for two seconds-” Bucky places a hand out to stop him. “Woah woah woah, where did who go? Y/N?” Sam is brought back to reality with Buckys question. “Yeah Y/N, I looked away for one second and she was gone.”
Bucky looks at him, slightly amused. “Did you lose her?” Sam glares at him, “No, I didn’t lose her. She wondered off.” Sam argues in his defense. “How do you lose a woman? Steve’s gonna kill you, ya know” With all that has been going on the thought didn’t even cross Sam’s busy mind. “You can’t tell Steve.” He says frantically.
“Can’t tell me what?” As if on queue Steve rounds the corner. “That he lost your girl.” Sam shoots daggers at Buck, who just shrugs. Steve looks between the two men. Noticing the worried look on Sam’s face. "You lost Y/N?“ There isn’t any anger behind his words, yet. Just concern. "I didn’t lose her she…”
“Wondered off, right?” Bucky finishes his sentence for him. “How do you lose a woman?” His tone is suddenly filled with the slightest hint of frustration. Bucky laughs lightly at the same question he asked only moments before.
“This isn’t the time Buck.” Steve accidentally snaps. “I asked you to protect her, Sam.” Steve places his hands on his hips, chest heaving. “Tell me everything.”
Moments later, Sam explained everything to the two super soldiers. “Let me get this straight, you were walking back from the market. You stopped to tie your shoe… and she was gone?” Sam doesn’t answer Steve’s question, instead, he nods in response.
“How long ago was this?” the room is silent except for the noise of falling rain. “An hour or two ago… at most.” Steve nods, they watch as a plan forms in his head. “Sam, you stay here in case she comes back. Buck, you check all of her favorite places, coffee shops, book stores, anyplace she goes regularly.”
They accept his orders without further question. Y/N can easily take care of herself, everyone knows that. Steve himself taught her self-defense. Despite knowing this, He still finds himself worrying.
Steve’s halfway out the door when he stops dead in his tracks, he sees you standing in front of him. Your small figure is visibly shaking, you’re soaked to the bone. Steve lets out a sigh of relief when he sees you.
Quickly, he rushes to your side. “Hey, S-Stevie,” you say in a whisper, your teeth chattering as you speak. “Where’d ya go doll? You had me worried ‘bout you.” Steve asks softly.
“I couldn’t just leave them.” He’s about to ask who when he notices something small in her arms. A huge smile appearing on his face when she opens her arms slightly, revealing two small kittens, one black and white, the other is orange, he is fairly smaller than the other.
“Let’s get you inside before you catch a cold. Or more kittens.” He walks closer to her, placing an arm around her shoulders, tucking her to his side.
Once you’re inside Steve doesn’t stop fussing over you. Making sure you’re warm. You tell him, for the tenth time, that the tea, blanket, and hot shower -he had Nat make sure you took one- was more than enough. “I’m fine Steve, really.” you don’t miss the hint of worry that flashes in his eyes.
She pats the spot next to her on her bed, “I promise… Thank you.” she smiles, her arm wrapped around his, her head rested on his shoulder. “What do you plan on doing with them.” Steve stares at the two kittens placed in a small cardboard box, lined with a blanket of their own to help keep them warm.
She adjusts herself to get a better look at him, her face completely serious. “Keep them. Why else would I have brought them home?” He chuckles at how cute she is. Kissing the top of her head.
“Now that we have two small children to look after, it’s only fit we give them names.” She sits up a bit more at his subtle way of approving them. A smile planted on her face “Well.” you say, picking up the small, mostly black kitten. She takes notice of his front left paw, it’s the only paw that’s white.
“I got it!” She exclaims excitedly. “This one will be Bucky.” Steve laughs at the thought of how his friend will react to having a kitten named after him. “I think Buck will love it.” Gently, she places the small kitten in Steve’s lap. She returns to the other orange kitten.
It takes no more than a few seconds for her to come up with a name for this one. “Steve!” he turns his attention to his excited girlfriend. “Yeah?” she rolls her pretty Y/E/C eyes at him. “No, not you silly. The cat.” He looks at her, realizing what she’s implying.
He starts laughing, “You can’t name a cat after me.” she shoots him a dirty look. “Oh, but Bucky is okay?” she sits up straighter. “You’re joking, right?” she only laughs at him, shaking her head.
“What are the names of the two newest Avengers?” Sam asks, Y/N gives him a huge grin at his question. Eyeing Steve, then Bucky. Who gives Steve a look that says ‘What do I have to do with this?’
She picks up the smaller orange kitten, “This one is Steve.” Everyone starts laughing at her name choice. “It’s even small like you were.” Bucky laughs. “And this one is Bucky.” as soon as he hears his name come out of her mouth he stops laughing. Staring at you, then he turns his attention towards Steve. “This was your idea, wasn’t it?”
“Not so funny now, is it?” Steve sasses him while everyone else continues to laugh.
