I dunno how smb can manage meaningful talks in tumblr due to sheer interface being a pain in the ass. I mean I can miss messages in my inbox and they are rare, can’t imagine how ppl with dozens messages/asks are able to track and answer all of them, and have a dialogue. And yeah, nowadays you’ll never know if smb is ok, or if he’s a troll or a stalker…

Oh yes, I definitely forgot that from my answer. Tumblr isn’t really good for chatting and commenting, unlike let’s say AO3 and DA. Twitter has this same issue to me. IG works quite nice what it comes to interacting longer with some consumers/fans. 

In Tumbrl posts I don’t even SEE all the comments if I dont physically go through every single post individually. (This irks me in Webtoons, too, because there’s no service which would let you know about new comments; everything must be hand checked.)

And the possible creeps. Sometimes just people who expect you to become their emotional savior and therapist now when you know one another’s Tumblr nicks. 

Ask system is here for 1 messages only, chatting works between individuals only in some cases. I myself like open commenting because I get to see what others have said, too. Sometimes this gives me great inspiration and I love to watch how people start to discuss together about some theories or something else related the thing I have created. :3 It’s a great delight to unite people, even for a small moment!
