a quick sketch of ZaTr smeets me and my wife @hivebreed made!! Have some headcanons:

They were hatched from eggs, and they are each a few weeks-a month apart in age. The oldest is Rashti, followed by Nen, and finally Kasha. Rashti is she/her, Nen is he/him, and Kasha is They/she (SERIOUSLY prefers they tho!!)

Rashti

-voice claim: Octavia from Helluva Boss

- has Zim's eye color

- Much like her mother in personality

- Incredibly mature and intelligent

- loves dancing and learning about things

Nen

-voice claim: Toby from Troll Hunters

- has Zim's eyes, only slightly more red

- scaredy cat

- major anxiety and paranoia, like Zim

- very sweet and timid!

- has Tak's birthmark

- loves snacks! as well as exploring. Hes curious about the world and other planets

- mommas boy

Kasha

-voice claim: Darla from Cat's Dont Dance

- Has Tak's eyes

- incredibly loud

- absolutely chaotic

- takes after zim personality wise

Irken questions:

Do you see Aka as someone in charge of overseeing Smeet's development? hypothetically speaking, something like a parallel work option.

(I found a really cool drawing of a Smeet and decided to compare their heights again.)

Is Aka taller than Sun? I don't know, I just love Sun's design.

Honestly why not. Smeets are tiny, I can imagine some higher-up seeing Aka and thinking “well at least she can’t squash them by stepping on them by accident”.

Plus Aka is great at multitasking and very compassionate for an Irken. She doesn’t even particularly love smeets, but she is pro-empire so every job they encode her as would be perfect, right🤷🏻‍♀️

Aka and Sun have the exact same height! It’s a history repeats itself kinda situation.

I’m also glad to hear you like Sun! I should draw her sometime but her lore is just so depressing,,

Irkens are born in tubes now, but if you made a smeet the natural way, it'd start out like this (like a salamander)! In this stage, Irkens smeets are Very bitey, and when not biting they are sleeping.

After their first molt they look more like lab-hatched smeets, except for the tail, and having more control over the extra set of arms.

*I meant venomous- their bite is dangerous (Irkens are immune), until they're about 10 years old. A defense against predators.

A shipkid? On my blog? It's more likely than you think!

Meet Misp! I'm pretty sure some of you can already tell from the name whos kid she is (ahem Visp and Mef ahem)

So she's adopted, later in the plot when the Empire falls because of Nova (long story I promise I'll give you that update one day) there's gonna be LOTS of smeeteries left without maintenance (that'll be taken care of don't worry) and also LOTS of little (future) smeets that will need someone to look after them when they hatch (since the whole robot system is down and generally no one is planning to repair that any time soon) and Radi would take them all in but he's just one guy, so... Yeah, that's what's happening now. Smeets are getting parents. Mef and Visp are going to adopt one WAY in the future I believe, when both of them are actually somewhat emotionally stable. This girl is a little menace to herself by the way, she'll learn to climb sooner than walk or speak and she'll also be incredibly curious, NO survival instinct whatsoever, so we can only wish her parents (one of which has severe anxiety and LOTS of other issues) luck x)
