One of Inuyasha's favorite things was putting Kagome to bed.

Typically, she got home earlier than he did, and lately she had been working so hard that she started falling asleep in odd places around the house.

At first, he would come home and find her asleep on the couch with the TV on or at the kitchen table, the ingredients for dinner laid out across the table, the clean knife still in her hand.

With time it got more interesting, and he had to rely on his nose to track her scent around their home until he found her.

One time, she was still buckled up and snoring away in her car in the driveway.

Another time, she fell asleep in the bathtub amidst a growing cloud of bubbles.

Just last week, he tracked her scent to the garden where she slept among the flowers.

Then there was the time she'd almost made it to their bedroom, and he found her in the middle of the hallway.

But his absolute favorite was when he found her sleeping in the laundry room on top of the washer, the loud, metal giant shaking her body so vigorously it was a wonder it hadn't flung her off.

Each and every time, Inuyasha would scoop his Sleeping Beauty up into his arms, maneuver her body out of whatever predicament she'd gotten herself into, and carry her up the stairs to their bedroom without disturbing her slumber in the slightest.

Laying her down onto their bed, pulling the covers over her, and slipping in beside her had become an art, and his reward was getting to listen to the gentle sound of her breathing and watching her sleep peacefully until he too drifted off.

It was an honor for him that Kagome trusted him with her body, that she trusted him to protect her while she was in such a vulnerable state.

But the best part of all was waking up beside her every morning, seeing her smile contently, and hearing her say those words.

"I knew you'd find me."

Kagome groaned, burying her face in her hands. "I did."

Shippou paused in his illusion, perfectly imitating Miroku—minus the flaming red hair. "But he's acting the same way as before."

She peeked between her fingers. Sesshoumaru was currently sitting with Rin at the base of the next hill, a bundle of flowers in her lap as she chatted about her latest adventure with Kaede. The girl was well on her way to becoming an experienced healer. She lacked any real holy power—her time in the underworld had seen to that—but she didn't need any power to set broken bones and cure the sick.

"I don't get it," she said, flopping back on the grass. She knew things wouldn't completely change after her confession, but she'd expected something.

Francesca opened the door to her apartment, legs tired and head aching. She had been rehearsing for the European leg of her international tour that was heading off next month. The smell of chocolate greeted her, and soft piano music could be heard from the living room. “Vilu, honey, I’m home.” she announced, taking her shoes off. As she turned around, she was surprised with the most beautiful woman she had ever laid eyes on. Violetta was wearing a soft pink lipstick and a beautiful blue and white dress. “Vilu...” Fran said, awe audible in her voice and adoration obvious on her face. Violetta grinned and took her girlfriend’s hands. “Yesterday, I saw you crying in the kitchen, and I wanted to cheer you up. So, I have made paella and tried to bake baci di dama and I just want you to be happy my love and I’m sorry I couldn't check on you yesterday I had so many calls with my managers and Angie and Pablo’s wedding coming...”

Francesca interrupted her girlfriend with a gentle peck on the lips. “You did all of this because you saw me crying yesterday?” Violetta nodded her head. “I probably should tell you why I was crying then.” Francesca said as her girlfriend squeezed her hands. “Talking often helps but if you don’t want to tell me that is also okay, whatever is going to make you happy.” Violetta replied, a soft, encouraging smile on her face. Francesca chuckled and kissed Violetta’s hands. “Vilu, I love you so much and you are so sweet, but nothing is wrong. I was just cutting onions.” Violetta burst out laughing. “Oh, my goodness, I am so glad that you are okay Fran, I can’t believe I thought something was terribly wrong.” Francesca grinned and pulled her girlfriend in for a kiss. Even if nothing was wrong, she was not going to let her beautiful woman (or food) go to waste.

"I do not blame you, mate."

She kissed his shoulder, then continued with her task, trying to get whatever was stuck to his hair out without having to physically cut it out. "I can't even tell what this is."

"Something inedible," he said with a grunt, leaning against the end of their private spring. Kagome was straddling the back of his legs, pressed against his back as she ran warm water over the mess in his hair.

"I thought you didn't cook."

"I do not. But the children intend to create something for the kit's graduation." He flinched as his comb got caught again, then sighed. "From scratch."

The thing with writing an omega verse, which is usually very focused on scents, with many characters is that I have to come up with a scent for each of those characters if they are going to appear frequently.

And with the fic in question being an AoT Rivaere canon verse fic, there is also the fact that there are a lot of things that either don't exist or they don't know about in canon verse, so I have to be careful what smell I pick for the character unless I want others to not be able to identify what it is, in which case I will have to get descriptive with the scent.

For some reason, I forgot about that and never bothered with coming up with those details when I started plotting for In Your Embrace, so I have to do that now.

There's a lot left to plot with this fic and a lot to fix with the chapters I had written but never posted back then.

I never even plotted how Levi and Eren would get together or when, either.
