I think he dropped out of high school because "that shit is for nerds". I'm not confident that he's very good at math, which is canon, or any other school subject. Maybe history, but only the conspiracy theories like JFK's death and 9/11 was an inside job. This isn't even me being silly, it holds a stable argument

I don't think he was too different from how he was in clerks 1, but for the short time he was in high school I can either see him being the weird kid or oddly reserved. I mean, he got stage fright in Clerks 3, so it's not entirely impossible. I think he may have dropped out because he felt cooped up in there. Like when you're really good at something, but then when people watch you're like "urgh". Performance anxiety with your personality!

Smoking weed, drinking beers, no coke however. Definitely smoked weed under the bleachers and in the bathroom

Contrary to moderately popular belief, I don't think his mom was a bad mom. I think she had to work 2 jobs which meant leaving Jay alone in order to support the gap his father's absence left. A lot of clutter in the house, but they did the best they could considering. It gets better a little bit after Jay drops out because he has a lot of free time

On the subject of his mom being busy, I think he may have felt unloved at times. Like, his dad's gone, his mom's always busy. Kind of makes him go " ,':( ". This doesn't last forever, though they're not as close as you usually hear fatherless families being. You know, "oh me and my mom are close because I have an absent father"

When he's not at home dealing with shit, he practically lives with silent bob. Although they met at the Quickstop and spent most of their time there, they still don't even know how it happened. They just showed up and that was that.

I haven't seen chasing Amy or Dogma, so sorry if this is all wrong...or am I?
