OK BUT UR SUPERBAT AU GOT ME THE BRAIN WORMS!!!! In no particular order:

• Bruce and Clark meet when Clark accidentally captures a Bruce going into labor in his fishnets - and Clark helps him deliver his baby on his boat and then sets them both free, which is a first for Bruce. So far all the humans he encountered were not that benevolent towards him or his babies.

• Turns out Bruce mostly takes in abandoned youngsters and babies who would not survive on their own. He only birthed a single one of them.

• Bruce is captured by Seacorp, an unethical aquarium, to be the star of their new show. Clark and his friends go to rescue him and also take care of his youngsters in the meantime.

• One of Bruce's babies is captured by poachers. Bruce goes to Clark for help, distraught, and Clark does his utmost to find his baby, yet comes up empty-handed. Truth is, there is a great chance his baby is already dead, or far away from here...until Clark accompanies workers of the canning factory on the warf to the owner's manor and sees Bruce's baby, ill and underfed in a tiny tank in the living room. He comes back later at night to rescue him. He's almost caught but manages to get away and rushes to a vet. Fortunately she saves his life, and Clark builds a park on his dock so the baby can recuperate safely and Bruce can come visit. Clark even feeds them all because he's afraid Bruce might neglect feeding himself or his babies since he's always around, worried for his youngster.

• Bruce tries to find a good mate that will take care of his family but so far all the mates he's been with always try to kill his babies to "make way" for the progeny they will have with Bruce. He's heartbroken and kind of gave up hope but.... Clark saved his baby. Clark feeds him and his babies. Clark strong. Clark always brings big fish. Mhmmmm.

yeah i love this i was thinking something like this too, bruce adopting orphans or abandoned babies into his brood, maybe when he was little his parents were killed by poachers leaving him on his own too little to hunt for his own food and he would have died if not for an elderly alfred taking him in and raising him up :)

oh now im imagining he acquires his own stray really young, like just a couple years into adulthood barely on his own when he comes across a little pup whose parents were also killed by poachers. pup!dick wants to find the poachers and get revenge but bruce talks him down, takes him home to alfred and their little family gets bigger ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Dick had grown up with rigidous meal plans and a minimum amount of what he should eat. It just came with being someone who was very physical active. This hadn't changed when his parents died and he came under the care of Bruce Wayne, if anything his food intake was only micro-managed more. The man drew up many plans as to how much he should eat if he was to go out as Robin.

Once when he had moved out, it had seemed like an act of rebellion to go against those plans, to disregard them and eat whatever he wanted and how much he wanted. He didn't try and force himself to to eat anymore even when all he wanted was to throw up or just go to sleep. He just, existed, as if he was solely unaffected by it all.

But he wasn't, soon he began to loose weight, fast. He had dizzy spells and moments of uneasy that left him breathless. Some days he didn't even have enough energy to try and get out of bed to eat something, even if his stomach seemed to rebel at the idea of filling it.

He was in a very bad place, only the almost concerned comments of Deathstroke managed to break through him. He must have been a truly pathetic sight to see if the other man decided he had to go easy on him.

So he tried to get his live back under control, tried to connect to the new Robin (as reculant as he still was about it) tried to get his weight back. And just when he was able to wrangle himself into at least eating a small portion daily.

Jason died.

It was as if he never had made any progress, he was sent back to square one but this time he was haunted by nightmares and hallucinations as well.

Even if he had wanted to he wouldn't have been able to heave himself out of it on his own.

The lonelieness ate at him more than the hunger ever did.

Bruce accusing him didn't help, and as sweet Timmy was, he was just a child. It shouldn't have been his responsibility at all to take care of a grown man, let alone two.

So Dick didn't tell him, oh he was aware that he might have some idea, that Bruce and Alfred at knew how bad he was off. But he wouldn't make this Tim's responsibility.

Even without Tim actively helping Dick noticed he started to get better, he was nowwhere near fine, but his own desire to ensure Tim was well taken care of and fed meant that each time he was visited by the little rascal (which was many times) he found himself eating at least something.

Over the years Dick got better at regulating what he ate, he drew up plans not unlike what Bruce had done for him and set himself reminders. He bought cheap shakes and other food that would have Alfred frown at him in distace even if it did it's job.

But he knew he would never be fine again. It had damaged something in him and he often still struggled with keeping to his plans each time he came to blows with Bruce, or had a bad day at patrol.

Surprisingly enough it was Slade Wilson, Deathstroke, who helped him heal and finally gain more than the bare minimum of weight.

The man would bring food with him each time before, or after they fucked, excusing it as just paying him back for all the calories he was about to burn. Bit Dick knew better, he knew the other man cared, had known for years, from the first time Slade had realized Dick was about to pass out from lack of food and had helped him get home all those years ago.

Overtime as their visits to each other would grow more frequent, Dick started to gain actually weight. He couldn't help but admire himself in the mirror each time it caught his attention.

Gone was the taut skin over his rips, that had the bones peeking through. It was padded with a healthy layer of fat now that had a little give to it.

As he grew more, domenistic, with Slade so to say, he even found that he was forming a little belly! His regular eating, enforced by the other man, and lack of physical activity, save for the few times he went out allowed his body to finally store some of the food he ate instead of burning through it instantly.

He hadn't been able to poke and grab at it in fascination, lost in his head as he realized how much he had grown over the years and away from Bruce's control.

Only two hot, possesive hands, laying down besides him had torn him out of his musing. Dick was well aware of what his healthy body did to the other man, as was evident by the hard cock being pressed into the small of his back as Slade crowded him closer so he could roam all over his body.

Dick let out a happy humm as he leaned his full weight onto the other man, trusting Slade to hold him up as he closed his eyes in content.

What I want out of canon Superman stories is pretty different than what I’m looking for when I fire up AO3. You and me both! The closest we've had to a proper appearance from New Earth Werner was back in 2019. And it was just that panel (Action Comics, Issue 1010, Leviathan Rises Part 4).

I honestly wish they had never changed his character so drastically. He's not himself in any way, shape, or form.

I don't exactly know how comics work, but hopefully one day some writer decides to use his pre-Flashpoint appearance and personality again.

I'm sorry for this spam but really i am simply UNHINGED about those two!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE to imagine that Question actually pined for years for Huntress and crushed on her from afar and then one day she literally shows up in his room, unprompted, and proceeds to mock him, touch his stuff, invade his personal space and lie to his face. He stood NO CHANCE. Maybe he even tried to find ways to drag the investigations so he would be able to spend more time with her. He def tried to impress her.

I don’t mind the spam at all! I absolutely love these two as well!! And YES the fact that Q had a crush on her for quite some time but never worked up the nerve to even talk to her despite being across the hall from her!! i’ve been trying to reply to this ask three times but tumblr keeps fucking with me 😭 praying it comes through this time

okay, so these are just off the top of my head:

1. slade has a thing for nicknames, for example “tricky brat (affectionate)”, “kid”, “little bird”, etc.

while dick gives nicknames to others, he doesn’t do it with slade, because he likes his name :> probably because most other people call him “deathstroke” or “the terminator”, so calling him slade feels intimate

2. even though both are adamant that they are ~not in a relationship~ they both get jealous af if the other has a thing with someone else, and slade gets possessive

3. dick thinks it’s weird that slade is a dad. not bad weird, and it’s technically not the weirdest thing about their arrangement, it’s just not something he associates with slade, and honestly he doesn’t really think about it all that much, but the titans and company do work with jericho sometimes, and slade has pictures of his family around his house, and sometimes slade will talk about his “boys” and dick will be like “oh right… my enemy-with-benefits has kids”

and it’s not even just the fact that he has kids, but the fact that he had a hand in raising them. he might not have been father of the year, but he went camping with his sons and taught grant how to handle a gun and listened to joey performing musically… and then there’s the fact that slade’s kids are about the same age as dick. maybe that’s the crux of the matter. i don’t think dick is an obsessive overthinker when it comes to his relationships, but this makes him spiral into overthink mode at times; what does it say about him? what does it say about slade? his actual way of dealing with it is very much like

4. slade is one of the few people dick feels comfortable being an actual asshole to, which, positive or negative, is freeing (it’s tiring to always be the emotional support son/big brother)

5. i love the idea of dick being the one introducing slade to kinkier stuff in bed. i came across this tweet a while ago and i love it, it’s so funny:

and in relation to this, i think slade really appreciates how bendy and flexible dick is *wink wonk* oh lord, dick has inadvertently created a monster

6. if they ever did get into an actual relationship (doubtful but hey, a guy can dream), i don’t think slade would be up for remarrying, and he still calls addie his wife rather than ex-wife, and dick pretends it doesn’t bother him at all (always a fan of miscommunication)

7. both like to cuddle a bit after sex but dick is the only one who feels self-conscious about it since they’re enemies-with-benefits, and like, angry sex is one thing, cuddling is another. slade is unbothered king always ✌🏼

Sorry I took a while to get back to you! I was super busy all weekend and finally have some time to sit down now.

Yeah Evil Superman is kinda ridiculous in my opinion. Don't get me wrong there are a few good ones (Justice Lords comes to mind), but now it just seems like writers think it's edgy and cool and "re-inventing the character" or whatever and it's just so overdone.

Also it completely misses the point of Superman, in that he should show us the example of not giving up when things seem bleak or loved ones die. He should be the one to show us that things will always get better, can always get better, that there is always a way through. That to me is the real power of Superman. Also in line with this is that quote from Grant Morrison where they said:

"I think the idea that Superman would react to the death of Lois Lane by becoming a tyrant is ridiculous; my mum and dad died and I didn't become a tyrant. If I can handle it, Superman can handle it."

And yeah, that's all there is to it, really.

I think Superman wouldn't consider himself a god, but he does carry the weight of the world, forgets that he can share that weights sometimes, and yes tries to help everyone even though he knows he can't.

Also lol at your second ask, he is a menace, especially golden age Superman. Sometimes I wish they used that a bit more again. Like they did in the Red & Blue story with Mxyzptlk :D

Salut Justine. Je suis en deuxième année de licence en histoire et je suis très inquiète pour le master vu mes notes actuelles. J'ai très peur de ne pas être acceptée en master avec des notes autour de la moyenne. Est-ce qu'il y a beaucoup de compétition en master?

Alors, c'est un peu compliqué à envisager comme ça. D'abord, dis-toi que rien n'est joué avant le dernier moment, surtout en licence : une année ne fait pas l'autre, et même si la L2 est difficile, tu peux te sentir mieux ou apprécier davantage les UE de la L3 et donc avoir de meilleures notes. Donc déjà, ne te fais pas peur trop vite et laisse-toi le temps d'avancer.

Ensuite, disons que le master dépend beaucoup de ton université et des places disponibles dans la période que tu envisages de travailler. Ça fait déjà quelques années que j'ai terminé le mien (humhum), et je sais que c'est devenu un peu plus difficile de rentrer en master qu'avant, mais un potentiel directeur de mémoire qui voit arriver un ou une étudiant·e qui a envie de travailler et se montre enthousiaste, ça peut faire la différence. D'autant qu'il y a parfois des périodes délaissées selon les UFR, donc certains enseignants recherchent des gens à encadrer, alors c'est toujours intéressant de se renseigner.

Pour ce qui est de la compétition en soi, je ne pense pas que ça existe vraiment en master : chacun fait son petit mémoire de son côté, et je connais des étudiants ayant eu des difficultés en licence ou pensant avoir tout à prouver pour mériter leur place qui ont fait de très bons mémoires, sans que ça ait grand-chose à voir ! Ce qui est important, c'est de trouver un sujet et une manière de travailler qui te conviennent, parce que tu seras souvent seule devant ton pc ou ta feuille (ou alors avec des potes de galère, mais chacun son sujet, so...).

En attendant, je te souhaite bon courage, et si tu as le moindre souci, n'hésite pas à venir en discuter, vraiment ! 🥰🥰

One day, he may gather his courage and let her have him.
