New year, same shit. Will it ever change?

What is the problem this fandom has with Jimin and Jungkook TOGETHER? And now it's not only this fandom and the subgroup but also their supposed Solo Fans. What is the fear, the problem these people have with Jimin and Jungkook being together in the same shot, picture, or moment? Why does it bother them that Jimin and Jungkook just like being together? Why do they keep ignoring or denying that their decision to join the army confirms the bond between them? Why so much damn hatred, so much rejection towards the friendship, the bond that they OBVIOUSLY HAVE? I've seen posts from Jungkook-centric accounts covering Jimin's face. I've seen posts from Jimin-centric accounts covering up Jungkook's face. I've seen posts from the subgroup and Solos "celebrating" that Jungkook is super close to another soldier because he's next to him and Jimin? He doesn't exist. It's ridiculous, I know, but at the same time, it's disturbing how the fandom in general keeps allowing such things.

And then we have the OT7 fans. The ones who have always denied the importance and magnitude of the relationship between Jimin and Jungkook and who reduce all the hate they receive for that relationship to mere 'ship wars' and thus wash their hands of a problem that could have been over long ago if they did something. These are the worst fans anyone can have. They are the ones who celebrate your victories because it makes them feel special, but abandon you when you need them. That's what happened with Jimin and Jungkook. The OT7 fans abandoned them on this. Obviously not all, but those who see the hate they get and decide to keep quiet. They decide to do nothing. And the funny thing is that the few times some of them have said something, it's to insult jikookers. The bloody irony.

It's pathetic, sad, funny and annoying all this. It's not about jikookers wanting others to think like them anymore. It's never really been about that if we're honest. It's about people, supposed fans of Jimin and Jungkook HAVE to respect Jimin and Jungkook. They have to respect their bond. Their friendship and decisions involving each other. And they don't. No matter what Jimin and Jungkook say or do.

This situation will never change? And now, Jikookers are the only ones fighting a battle they can't seem to win. Jikookers are the only ones demanding respect for Jimin and Jungkook. They are the only ones reporting everybody. They are the only ones doing something and yet they are the most hated. The most ridiculed. The most excluded in this fandom.

Jimin and Jungkook don't deserve that. This isn't about whether you think they have a romantic relationship or not. This is not about you becoming a jikooker. This is about respect. It's about accepting that Jimin and Jungkook have a great relationship. That they like to be together. This is about accepting and RESPECTING the fact that Jimin and Jungkook DECIDED to join the army TOGETHER. This is about being a decent human being. Is that so hard?

If you hate Jimin or Jungkook simply because they are together you are a piece of shit. Jimin and Jungkook would be ASHAMED OF YOU. They would NEVER give you the time of day. Jimin and Jungkook will always choose the other over either of you. And that's a truth that I know deep down inside you, you know too.

I'm excited to see whatever Jimin and Jungkook filmed for us, but I'm also terrified of how this fandom will react when it's finally released.

When I came into BTS fandom and tried to know more about jimin (I didn't know where to see content and all because I had noone to show me a path so I used to see in SM) I saw similar accusations against him, his family especially dad. I remember one account said he has an uncle who is working in h*be that's why he is popular and I thought meh these people are haters and if someone is saying positive about jimin other fans used to turn that down. Anyways, I came here and started seeing original contents especially the older ones through links posted here by ot7 accs.

I genuinely hate people analysing an interaction when we don't know much about them on personal levels. But this is some weird shit, now touching nose= ???? What!!?? 👁️ Don't know how these people run their lives IRL.

Concluding, this is one way how hate is spiralling and how jimin antis are increasing! Sad. But I'm glad he said he is doing what he wants to do, happy and healthy ❤️

I think that pretty much sums up how I feel. I'm sick of it. I'm fucking sick of the treatment Jimin gets online from a bunch of envious, selfish, stupid people who can't stand the fact that Jimin is bigger than all their fucking favs combined. Yes, I said it and I stand by it.

I don't know what the point of this post is, at the moment I just want to vent and try to put into words the frustration, anger and sadness I feel.

When it was announced that Jimin would be releasing his first solo EP many of us braced ourselves for what was to come. What was meant to be a moment of complete happiness also turned into something we dreaded. Many of us knew that it wouldn't be easy, that many would doubt, criticise and attack Jimin even for the way he holds the microphone, but as always, reality overcame fiction.

When the agency announced the schedule of activities on the road to the release of the album, the problems started, but at that time, the problems were purely internal.

Solo stans and OT6 started to complain, to accuse of favouritism and injustice. They complained that the releases of JIB, The Astronaut and Indigo were unfair, conveniently forgetting everything the guys did during their releases, but the fact that Jimin decided to make a more typical BTS schedule, shall we say, didn't sit well with them.

As more information came out about Jimin's solo moves, more complaints were heard from sectors of the fandom or social media, mainly Twitter to no one's surprise. Even though deep down it was all fear, Park Jimin was coming and they knew he would take the industry by storm.

The closer it got to D-Day, the more chaos ensued. There were complaints and accusations about Jimin-centric accounts, there were complaints about donations and much more. The fact that other members put out content during all that time somehow made everything even tenser.

Amidst all the chaos, discussions and so on, millions of us were excited because we knew that what was to come was going to be big.

I think I've said it several times in this blog but I've always believed that Jimin and Jungkook have the potential to have a huge solo careers. They are mainly always breaking records and setting new ones. They have something else, that makes them successful, by this, I don't mean that other members won't be because they have already proven that they are, they have achieved almost everything as BTS and it is obvious they will do the same as solo artists! But Jimin and Jungkook are different. Their popularity in the charts proves it and their popularity with the locals or the general public too and I know that's what scares a lot of people. 

Finally, the wait was over and Set Me Free Pt. 2 came out. That song and that MV wasn't something we expected, but it was something we needed and it was what it took to make the haters, kpoppies, Solo stans and OT6 tremble. If this is what the re-release was like, what would the album be like?

SMFPT2 came in breaking records. Fans and Locals loved the song and the MV. We were all surprised, but at the same time proud that Jimin was showing the world what kind of artist he is and what he can do. For a long time, many talked about his duality, now it was time to talk about his versatility as an artist.

And then the album arrived.

When the album FACE has finally released the fandom responded as it should. Support was seen from day one, or at least support from those who mattered. The OT6 and the Solos Stans kept complaining, but their bullshit was buried by the emotion, love and pride we all felt for Jimin. But after that, a bigger enemy showed its face: The industry.

The problems have been the same ones BTS has always encountered: Hanteo, Spotify, YouTube and bloody kpoppies.

What happened with the 3 companies mentioned above is ridiculous. What's still going on with those companies is stupid and it's all happening in broad daylight without anyone other than the fandom saying anything is insane. BTS is indisputably the biggest music group in the world, but still, the industry feels apathy about them. Still, the industry is afraid to see them succeed. Whether as a group or as solo artists.

Jimin particularly generates fear in all of them because he is extremely popular... with the general public and that is something that many don't dare to acknowledge. Jimin not only has ARMY as fans, he also has the power to attract fans from the general public. Jimin showed that he has the talent to break down barriers and that scares a lot of fans because their favs are not capable of that. And that is precisely the problem.

Jimin is a person who works quietly but shows loud results. And that scares a lot of people. All the hate we are seeing against him on the net is nothing but fear and envy. Park Jimin is here to stay.

The accusations of payola and favouritism came back with a vengeance. Criticisms of his talent and attempts to oti7ify his achievements and his work have come out like hotcakes from all sides. The anger and envy of many have been shamefully evident and the lower they all fall, the higher Jimin goes.

Finally, what has happened in the last few days with kpoppies is despicable but not entirely surprising. Before they had to fight with only one group, now they have to fight with 7 individual artists. They were angrier with Jimin because he is breaking all the records. Because he is everywhere and because the people, the general public, love him. And because Jimin's mere existence annoys them and that goes for OT6 and Solo stans too. Jimin is not perfect, but hell, he has the merits to be.

Jimin will continue to win, he will continue to break records, he will continue to sign lucrative contracts and if we're lucky, he will continue to give us great music and while Jimin does all that, his haters will continue to be a bunch of pathetic, envious people whose only aspiration is for someone to Like and comment on one of their stupid posts.

The chances of breaking more records on Billboard are scary but hopeful. Whatever the outcome Jimin worked very hard for his album. He trusted us with his thoughts and emotions and we will always be grateful for that. The effort that the fandom has made all these days is admirable, the fight that the US and Puerto Rican fans have put up is incredible and we hope to see the reward soon.

I understand that it's frustrating, this post started with me writing my frustration, but I also understand that karma is real and that Jimin's karma, bts karma is powerful. And although it is infuriating and sometimes discouraging, we must always remember that there is a person in Korea, in the city of Seoul who understands us.

From the moment you come into this fandom one of the first things you learn is that the main "enemy" of BTS is kpoppies or fans of other K-pop groups; what no one tells you and what you have to learn on your own is that Jimin's main enemy is their own fandom.

Generalisations are never good, but for the sake of this conversation, I'll talk about fandom in general with the understanding that not everyone in it thinks or acts this way.

When hickey-gate happened or we learned about it the fandom collectively didn't know how to act. Everyone concluded that what Jungkook had on his neck was really a hickey and that it was Jimin who did it - the reasons each fan believed were different.

That day was funny because everyone, with a few exceptions, couldn't justify what they saw, what Jimin and Jungkook showed us and what they told us, but deep down we know that many didn't like it and were uncomfortable with what it possibly meant. I know and many of us know that many were dying to o7ify that hickey and today in a way they managed to do so.

In today's Wlive Joon clearly had a hickey on his neck, he tried to hide it, downplay it and in the end, gave a not-so-plausible explanation, but that's what he said and we have to respect it, the problem is what happened afterwards or the reaction of the fandom. Their chance to o7ify that moment between Jimin and Jungkook finally came. This time, in the form of " jokes".

Many immediately came out tweeting that that hickey was obviously done by Jimin because we all know he's a biter. Others said that Jimin probably does the same thing to all members or that he has given every member a hickey, that's his thing! Some said. At the end of every tweet or in a different tweet they make the disclaimer that it was all a "joke".

All of us who have been paying attention know of the thousand and one hurtful, offensive and cruel narratives that the subgroup has raised against Jimin, one of them being that Jimin is basically a slut that members pass off on each other and these "jokes" that many are making today only perpetuate that narrative.

It's frustrating how those people don't understand how offensive those "jokes" are and it's frustrating how their arrogance doesn't make them understand why many of us are upset and it's frustrating how they don't understand that those jokes give more validation to the subgroup to keep saying stupid things about Jimin.

Joon at no point mentioned Jimin, but somehow they concluded that it was Jimin who did it to him. It's funny how many in this fandom get offended when someone even hints that another member is lgtbi+ but has no problem joking about Jimin in that context.

It's frustrating how many in this fandom still have this misconception about who Jimin really is and don't understand that Jimin is the most respectful member of BTS. And that's something I won't argue with anyone. Jimin knows boundaries, he knows where to stop and unlike what many want to believe, he doesn't behave with all members the same way he behaves with Jungkook. And no, this is not me trying to make it all about JiKook, this is about telling many of you that you don't really know Jimin.

The most frustrating thing about this is that several jikookers and vminkookers also made "jokes" about this. They are also normalising behaviour in the fandom in relation to Jimin which is toxic and dangerous, and that is frustrating. Once again I wonder why the aversion against Jimin? why the fear towards jikook?

A few days ago the subgroup demonized Jimin's donation to UNICEF for the affected children in Türkiye (Turkey) and Syria and no one did anything. Interesting how they didn't say the same about Hobi, who did exactly the same thing. The problem is when Jimin does it. The problem for many is Jimin.

Will I ever stop making posts like this?

Jimin is a wonderful, talented, respectful and private person. With a beautiful soul. super talented, funny and LOVED by MILLIONS of people in the world. Jimin will continue to succeed, and make lots of money and his detractors will continue to be bitter in the darkness of their bedrooms.

JIMIN AND THE APATHY OF THE FANDOM TO SUPPORT HIM.

The constant apathy of the fandom in general to support Jimin's projects has made me question more than once if it's really his fandom too or if it's just a part - quite a big part I'm sure - of the fandom that is a fan of him. 

Here we are again. New year. New post. Same topic. ARMY's apathy to support Jimin. Different excuses, same result.

I haven't talked much about this topic on my blog these days because I'm honestly tired of the damn negativity and because I was dealing with more negativity in my normal life, but I want to say something about everything that happens whenever Jimin releases a song, no matter if it's solo or with someone else.

It's not the first time I've made a post like this and I don't think it will be the last either, but I'd like to be wrong.

The apathy, the disaffection this fandom, in general, feels about Jimin is disturbing. Jimin's achievements are good when they serve to show them off to an "enemy" fandom but when it comes time to support him, everyone has excuses.

It happened last year and it happened again this week.

The absurd fights between kpop fandoms have always seemed absurd to me, although some I can understand but for that to be an obstacle to support the one who is supposed to be your favourite artist seems stupid to me.

From what I could read over the weekend, and before the official release of 'VIBE', several people were saying that they didn't like the artist that Jimin decided to collaborate with. The reasons I don't fully understand and frankly, that's not the problem, the problem is that their problem with that artist and his fans outweighs the love and respect they supposedly have for Jimin and that's something my brain doesn't quite understand. To be honest, my brain has never entirely understood the reasons that many people use for not supporting Jimin's projects as they do with the projects of the other members.

I've always wondered why that happens, why that feeling of rejection almost, that many in this fandom feel for Jimin. I myself have said that it's envy, stupidity and fear and although I still believe it's all that, I think it's something else too. And someday I'd like to know what it is.

This week when many Jimin fanbase and fansites were asking to buy and stream the song 'VIBE' to take it to number one on the charts, many replied asking why, that they better do it for Jimin's solo album, that this honour should be won by him alone and not in collaboration with someone else, the answers are obviously stupid, but at the same time it's sad to read the excuses that many use only when it's about Jimin. That didn't happen with Jungkook, RM and Hobi's recent collaborations, none of them was for their solo albums, they were all for someone else's album and yet ARMY did the best they could, to support them.

The Korean press today basically confirmed that Jimin's album will be released next month. This may be the ultimate test by which many will measure this fandom and their support and respect for Jimin. Many used the excuse that they better save their efforts for Jimin's solo debut, well, let's hope they are true to their word, there will be no more excuses that will be valid, not that the others have any validity.

I've always said that Twitter is not the representation of the fandom, it's only a tiny part of it and while I still hold that opinion, I also understand that on Twitter are many of the most important accounts that organise everything from voting to chart tracking and even funding, so it's worrying and sad that those accounts and therefore their followers don't seem to put the same effort they do for other members when it comes to Jimin.

I am aware that this fandom is quite large and while there are many, probably thousands of "fans" who are apathetic to all things Jimin there are also millions who love him. Who supports him and is excited about whatever Jimin decides to show us on his album. I'm definitely one of them.

I was excited when the guys announced that they would be doing more solo projects, including albums. I can't wait for what they all show us, everything we've seen and heard so far has been great! And so, I can't wait to see and listen to what Jimin has to show. I know it will be unique, I know it will be great, and I know Jimin will once again prove why he is not only the IT Boy of Korea but also, the IT Boy of music.

What happened in 2019

Hell. After the final concerts in Seoul, the subgroup and akgaes trended many homophobic and hateful hashtags against Jimin and Jungkook, because of how they behaved during the concerts. Other hashtags were demanding the company to do something and generally hateful things. They also sent letters to the agency demanding all that. Jimin in particular received a lot of hate. After that things changed. Jimin and Jungkook basically disappeared from social media.

I am not even a jikooker, mainly just here for JM but it’s absolutely insane how so many people are trying so hard to downplay or put a negative spin on their tokyo trip. If they didn’t at least like each other they wouldn’t be dedicating time to go on an exclusive trip this close to MS. Full stop, whether it’s for work or not. Also common sense seems to be lacking with a lot of fan groups because why is it a big deal that Jimin was shopping at a store alone? Maybe JK didn’t want or need anything from that particular store so Jimin just popped in quickly with a manager to get stuff on his own. He was clearly in a hurry because he even forgot the items after paying. Why would the two of them enter the store together unnecessarily to risk more recognition and chaos? Did we not see the circus that was the hokkaido airport footage? Seeing other pjms jumping on that fan encounter as if it proves jm and jk aren’t together on this trip when we know for a fact that they are is so?? Also seeing jikookers attacking the op because they feel like her story somehow is proof against jk is also weird and insane. The need that many have, not just those in the subgroup, as we've already seen, for Jimin and Jungkook not to get along and to hate each other is baffling. The need they have to belittle the bond they share is over the top. The desperation they always exhibit to prove that they are not together, that they don't get along, that this or that is not true, is bizarre at best.

These people love to label everything the two of them do together or that involves the two of them as fanservice, and I've concluded that they don't know what fanservice is. It's the same as many calling everyone sasaeng. They don't need to resort to fanservice at this point in their careers, definitely not after the success they have shown even as solo artists. So, that narrative is more than obsolete.

Jimin and Jungkook decided to do whatever they are doing together. Jungkook said that the idea goes back a few years, and it was Jimin who suggested it, and he agreed immediately. I won't be surprised if, when whatever they're doing is released, they mention it too.

They wanted to do this together. They planned their schedules in such a way that they could do this during this time. That says a lot about how much they enjoy being together. It's stupid to deny that they enjoy being together, that they are an important part of each other's lives. Acknowledging or accepting that doesn't mean you have to believe that they are in a romantic relationship; you just have to accept that they like being together.

Now, as for what the Japanese account said, I haven't seen messages against them; I've only seen people asking them for more details. But to take that as evidence of anything to discredit the bond between Jimin and Jungkook is silly. We've all seen them arrive and leave Tokyo together. Jungkook arrived in Hokkaido filming with a GoPro. As you say, Jimin decided to go to that shop alone; maybe Jungkook was outside waiting for him, maybe it was part of whatever they were filming. We don't know. Just because they are together in that country doesn't mean they should be together 24 hours a day.

What I keep confirming over and over again, or what Jimin and Jungkook keep confirming over and over again, is that no matter what the haters say, their relationship is not going to change. They will continue being themselves, behaving with each other as they please, and that's it.

In a way, I'm glad that when whatever they are doing is released, they won't have much time on their hands to watch any of it. I'm glad that each member decided to spend their last days or weeks as civilians the way they wanted to.
