Obsessed with characters who maintain an undying loyalty to another. Absolutely love the kind of character who would be willing to tear apart nations to please the recipient of their loyalty, the kind who would fell gods and men alike for their master's goals. Utterly feral for characters willing to sacrifice every part of their being because they believe so deeply in the goals of the one whom they serve, or even just out of pure love and devotion to the person themselves, the kind who would face down any and every opponent just to see their liege safe and happy, the kind who would rend the very world if it took that person away from them.
Jin Xenoblade is a great character for many reasons, but he's also really funny. Lora's literally like "damn Jin you're so cool and hot and I would totally kiss you right now if you asked me to", meanwhile he's just standing there like "but how do I know how she REALLY feels?"
Fast forward 500 years, and Malos is like "damn Jin I love you bro, everything I'm doing is for you and I would literally die for you just so you can achieve your dream", meanwhile Jin's still just standing there like "but how do I know how he REALLY feels?" Iconic.
Gay wrongs tournament, round 1 of the minor bracket
Propaganda:
For Peter Lukas and Elias Bouchard:
Elias is essentially the big bad of the entire podcast and Peter’s just as evil They both are servants to fear gods, causing significant harm and distress to feed their patrons The best part is that they serve diametrically opposed fear entities. Elias serves one focused on the fear of being watched and known while Peter serves the one about being alone, forgotten and forsaken, it’s a very interesting dynamic They have been divorced and remarried more times than anyone - possibly even themselves - can count
For Jin and Malos:
Both of them hate the world they're living in and so they meticulously develop a plan over several decades to kill the Architect (basically god) and then all of humanity. In doing so, their plan includes the murder of a child (the protagonist, don't worry he manages to survive), almost starting a war between two nations by attacking one using another's weapon, the capture of another main character and extraction of her powers for Malos' use and the summoning of an artifice (very dangerous weapon) to destroy sections of the world. They're also very gay. Malos does a lot of what he does because he believes it is what Jin wants. He loves Jin in an almost obsessive way. Jin is too bitter about the world to notice anything other than the problems he sees around him, but he depends on Malos in a way that he does with no one else. The two understand each others' hatred of humanity and try to destroy the world in order to fix their problems, instead of properly connecting or helping each other in a meaningful way.
Is it me or why does Jin from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 look like/resemble Marluxia from Kingdom Hearts?! Is it the hair style or is it the blue eyes, or both? Hmmm...
Jin (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
Marluxia (Kingdom Hearts series) (His eyes in this GIF are yellow, but his normal eye colour is blue)
