Elesh Norn: white stork

Parental imagery. Graceful-looking but actually horribly tempered bird, not unlike the swan or goose. (I'm not actually sure what stork personalities are like, so I'm sorry storks. This SPECIFIC stork has the attitude of a goose.)

Jin-Gitaxias: bottlenose dolphin

Known for intelligence and associated with water. Smug asshole. Hobbies include substance abuse. (He thinks his fursona is an epic overengineered snake-dragon-wolf with LED gamer lighting. It's not.)

Sheoldred: cockroach

Small, despised, and underestimated, in reality extremely crafty and tenacious. Could survive literally anything. Knows you don't want her there, and smugly thrives on it.

Urabrask: giant tube worm

Lives underground in a very hot place far away from everybody else. Bright red. Builds a home for himself. Keeps getting pinched and poked at by other creatures but really just wants to be left alone. (I know tube worms aren't exactly fast, which is one of Urabrask's major characteristics, but I work with what I've got.)

Vorinclex: bear

Yeah this is a low-hanging one but I couldn't come up with anything less obvious that fit. I mean... he sure is.

What *does* ichor taste like? Oil? Metal? Machinery? Please give us some insight.

The dominant "taste," as you will find, is memory. Of course, a creature lacking the sophisticated psionic attunement found in myself is unlikely to appreciate the depths of the oil's storage capacity, but even the simplest beings experience flashes of imagery and feeling in the process of imbibing the oil. -J

Smooth and heavy, and not too thick, unless you've really messed up somehow~ I hate to give the jabbering noodle any credit but he knows his way around memory, at least. The oil has no special taste of its own, I've found, besides being faintly metallic. What makes it delicious is all the thoughts and fears you're tasting~ -S

Some glisteners I know have described Furnace oil as warm and "spicy." Comforting, if you're a particular type of person. -U

It’s a praetor parade! 17 hours of work on a whiteboard in my classroom. Each praetor took roughly 3 hours, except Sheoldred who took 4. This is the largest piece I’ve done and definitely one of the most complicated, with each praetor being shaded differently.

It's that time again! Another still from the famous old rubberhose series,

Volume 4: Kompleat Kamigawa

That ol' rascal Jinny-G been up to his tricks again, performing some mad science on loving mother and vaguely lagomorphic lady Tamiyo.

All this after he got more than he bargained for (or is it less) when he tangled with that Wanderin' Emperor.

These took a while to really take shape. The first one definitely reveals how tough it is to pose the Jin-Gitaxias sometimes, but I definitely wanted that "Villain about to pull the switch" pose. Other poses I mulled on was him playing on a "piano"/Control Console for his mad science experiments as a nod to the Toccata scene from the first Astroboy cartoon. Was definitely tempted to do an "Astroboy" version of Tamiyo. But I feel A) Maybe I'd wait and save that for when we've got more Compleated Planeswalkers and thereby justify making a new frame.

Tamiyo's Compleation was inspired by the old disney cartoon with the mad scientist torturing the dog (Not the talking dog Goofy, the not-talking dog Micky kept as a pet).

To keep the theme from Kold Times On Kaldheim, I did one image of the praetor, one card for their "Goal" that set. And then another card depicting a setback. In this case "You Are Already Dead" felt appropriate. And belatedly realizing you've been bisected seems like a common thing in cartoons. Though I definitely drew influence from Eddy's bit in the old Ed Edd n' Eddy Intro.

Been a little slow with posting art in general but this was another fun one. I got a Urabrask one on the backburner and will get started on the Sheoldred one, probably round the time Elesh Norn comes out.
