Little One. Pt.11.

Part 11 Of ??

Tommy had men out everywhere searching for felicity. It had been three days now and he still hadn’t spoken to Polly, she stayed out the way and kept her mouth shut, knowing how angry her nephew was with her.

“How can she hide?! She’s a tiny omega who you can smell from miles around! It’s been three days if she got picked up she could be anywhere.” Tommy ran his hand over his face as he stood in his office one hand in his pocket as he looked over the paperwork on his desk. “Lees have gone Tom, Johnny Dogs says they left four days ago. Doubt they’d have picked her up anyway.” John meant against the door frame.

“In any case have Esme get ahold of them see if they saw anything, Arthur get on the phone to the Jew tell him I’ll send him the next shipment of tobacco free if he sends his men out to look for her in London.” Tommy was seething, if he hadn’t been such a fuckin hot head felicity would still be here.

Felicity sat with her knees up to her chest crying “you mean you didn’t know?” Flora stood staring at the little omega. She shook her head “I only h-had my heat a few days ago.” Flora looked scandalised “and tha bastard didn’t bond ya?!”

With a shake of her head and a heart broken sob Flora stepped out of the caravan. Felicity curled up in the corner of the bed and cried to herself, she was pregnant, she was having a baby, babies maybe. Her mind flashed with memory’s of the Alphas family she had been apart of so briefly yet they had made her feel so warm and welcome. Her heart aches for them but she was no longer welcome, All she wanted was to curl up in her nest with Ada and wait for the world to stop turning.

“Darlin?” A voice asked quietly from the door, looking up felicity saw Elsie smiling sadly at her. “Would you like to come stay in our nest tonight, Ezra will sleep out under the stars.” Felicity nodded scrambling toward the older omega. Elsie pulled her to her chest holding the little thing while she cried.

“We don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to but you and your pups are safe and welcome here for however long you need.” She kissed her head and rocked her slightly in the doorway to the caravan. With a smile and a quick comforting smile from Ezra, Elsie took felicity into her nest wrapping her in blankets before curling up with her, “you can sleep in here with me until you feel better, Ezra doesn’t mind as long as you’re okay.” She spoke softly tucking felicitys hair behind her ear.

Whispering a thank you felicity held onto Elsie’s hand before drifting into a fitful sleep.

Two weeks had passed now and Felicity has finally gone back to sleeping with Flora. A gently feeling of calm had washed over her changing body, she would be okay, here with her baby. Ezra had sat her down and told her that he would help her the best he could and would provide for the little omega as Pack alpha. Pups in the pack were treated with so much care and gentleness that felicity felt at ease.

Now the only problem was the ache in her chest. An ache for something or someone she couldn’t have, she refused to believe it was Tommy and the rest of the family she had fallen so in love with.

Felicity was sat by the stream cleaning clothes with the beta girls giggling when she heard Ezra being called. She stood up carefully and touched her stomach. Usually flat Belly now ever so slightly rounded, protruding about 1cm our from her hip bones. Not noticeable to anyone but herself but the sweet smell of pregnancy was mixed in sweetly with the scent of flowers.

“You okay felicity?” Lucy asked, Ezra and Elsie’s youngest daughter. She was a few years younger than Felicity, hadn’t presented yet. Felicity guessed she was probably going to be an alpha, she was very protective and possessive it made her smile.

“I’m okay just gonna head up and grab some fruit.” She smiled softly at the other girls and headed up the small embankment, the camp coming into view. A car was pulled up, a posh one like one she’d seen when Polly took her and Ada into the city. Walking over slowly she saw a tall man with a cane and a top hat stood talking to Ezra. Before she even reached the camp Elsie was grabbing her arm and pulling her quickly inside a caravan and holding her finger to her lips.

Felicitys heart hammered in her chest. “I would appreciate if you didn’t get to close to my caravan Mr Solomons. My mate is pregnant and resting in her nest.” Ezra said just outside. Elsie held her hand over felicitys mouth now as the two omegas stood dead still in the small space.

“Ah congratulations! Love babies me, very sweet always smilin no idea Uh the ‘orrors Uh life yet. Yeah. Anyway the Shelby boys Uh lookin f’ a young omega that did one from up there way. Let us know if ya hear anythin, you’ll be gettin a visit from Kin soon enough no doubt.” And then silence.

The omegas stayed put for another ten minutes until the doors open to reveal Ezra with a stoic look on his face, Elsie had her eyes on the ground. “So you ran from the shelbys.” He said in a deep voice no emotion attached to his words.

Slowly felicity nodded her eyes welling up. “Baby’s a shelby?” He asked nodding at her stomach, with a nod Elsie hurried away from her and stood behind her husband. Felicity floundered confused, “but I- i” Ezra shook his head and ran his hand over his face.

“We can’t keep you from em. If they come ere and find yuh the peace between our family’s will be broken and war with break out messy and blood soaked war.” Ezra watched as felicitys entire body shrank in.

“You can stay with us if you please felicity but we cannot hide you when they come.” Ezra watched her sadly now, a grim look on his face. “You shouldn’t have ran from them sweetheart.”

That night news came that Esme and John would be visiting in the morning. So that night while Flora was sleeping Felicity packed a bag and slipped out of the caravan. Before she could even make it out of camp she spotted Ezra lent against a tree smoking his eyes on her as she walked toward him now.

“I have to go I can’t see them.” She whispered tears on her cheeks. “I’m so thankful for everything you did for me, and I want nothing more to spend the rest of my life here with you all but I can’t risk your family getting hurt for me. If they come tell them you had picked me up and I ran as soon as we got here.” Felicity reached for the Alphas hand. And he just nodded his head and hugged her.

“Tell Elsie and Flora I love them.” She whispered. Ezra slipped a wad of money in her pocket and quickly sent her away the sun was just rising so she wouldn’t be out in the dark alone. There was a village not to far away she could make it there by evening. Maybe she could find somewhere to slay there. Somewhere away from the clutches of the fuckin shelbys.

“She’s definitely there Tommy. No alpha leaves his omega alone that time of night to say goodbye to a wandering beta. I couldn’t get close enough to get her scent just followed her to the village, yeah... yeah... okay. Goodnight Tommy, yes I’ll see you tomorrow.” The alpha with a peaked cap stood in the phone box watching the small girl buy a loaf of bread and head for the bed and breakfast.

“Oh you’re in trouble little thing.” He smirked.

Week 6: Project Pitch

My Idea

Utilizing a head piece that detects brain activity and record EEG signals as the controllers of the robot.

When concentrating, the robot will start moving, creating lines and curves.

Inspiration

Star Wars Force Trainer

The wireless headset that you slip over your head reads your brainwaves through a small sensor that gets placed lightly on your forehead.

The sensor then determines the difference between your alpha, beta, gamma and delta waves. This allows a chip inside the Force Trainer base unit to use a mathematical algorithm to interpret the data and translate it into physical action

Field of practice

This idea of having our brains controlling robots is practiced in a couple of fields including the medical field.

One example is called The Modular Prosthetic Limb

Capable of effectuating almost all of the movements as a human arm and hand and with more than 100 sensors in the hand and upper arm

Johnny Matheny is the first person to attach a mind-controlled prosthetic limb directly to his skeleton.

A team from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and Boston University is working on this problem, creating a feedback system that lets people correct robot mistakes instantly with nothing more than their brains. http://news.mit.edu/2017/brain-controlled-robots-0306

They use EEG signals as the raw data

The system looks for brain signals called error-related potentials,” which are generated when the brain notices a mistake.

If it detects these signals, the robot changes its action

If not, the robot continues with its planned action

Technology and Equipment

These are some technological equipment for the robot to run and be connected to the computer.

And these are the head piece from the Star Wars force trainer, as this is what I could access for now, and markers.

Building a robot

I would have to learn how to build the robot that a marker would be attached to. Also, I need to be able to control the movement of the pen as I do not want the pen to the touch the paper when the robot is not moving.

Arduino

Arduino will be the brain of the robot which runs on my computer linking it to the head piece that measure brain activity.

System

So, the system will be running in Processing and it will record brain activities using the sensors from the head piece. As it collects data, the system will use mathematical algorithm to interpret the data and translate it into physical action.

Potential outcomes

The final product would be random as I cannot predict what it would exactly look like but overall it would turn out to be a piece of paper with lots of lines.
